And we're we're kind of on we where we were yesterday for everything. I think when we went live on the show, Eve had been performing for a little bit. What's that sound? Don't. Tomorrow obviously, is the big day with NFPS. You saw some softer employment day to yesterday, which meant that rate cut expectations are starting to grow. ECB cut rates today. Bank of Canada cut rates yesterday. So some positive sentiment there. Meme coins have been again a bit mixed.
The big winner in the in the in the top meme coins has been Brett. Brett's gone to 1.4 billion now. So that one keeps going. And then other meme coins again have just been kind of mixed, I would say with a slight preference for ETH or ETH related projects doing doing OK. In terms of the bigger news that I saw over the last like 24 hours, I think the China thing is quite a big one.
So Hong Kong was opening up a crypto and then in the last two weeks you've seen that every single major exchange has pulled out of listing in Hong Kong finance. OK, X bye bit Gate. They've all decided not to do it. And the reason is, is because to list in Hong Kong, you had to explicitly say and have tight controls on not having other Chinese users. And of course all these guys have got other Chinese mainland
users. So you're actually, you're having eleven people, I think filing for exchanges in Hong Kong. But they're all kind of unknowns, like they're not big firms. And so now you've seen by bit just explicitly say, hey, yeah, if you're China, you can come and you can come and list on the site, which is kind of wild. Like they've not they've just kind of, I don't know, they're going to faffo and find out,
right. Let's let's see what happens here because China, China could be more aggressive, but they're also being a bit more lenient on on in Hong Kong. So let's see what they're going to do to these exchanges. Just trying to explicitly go after Chinese users. So yeah, that was that was like the biggest thing I think. And I think the other thing is that its stamp, which is a huge exchange in South Korea got bought by Robin Hood that which is another move from them into into crypto.
So bit bit of movement, I say on the exchange side, particularly in Asia. But yeah, Robin Hood buying. A Europe. It's not a European. Sorry, it's a European exchange. Sorry, European exchange, yeah. But yeah, that, that'll be huge. That'll be yeah, another huge piece of news there. So, yeah, I think that will be that just shows that more intention of, of being involved from these sort of traditional exchanges into, into crypto. So, yeah, that was that was kind of it from the from the main
news. And and then yeah, infos have been strong, but we're not really not really doing much. Yeah, I, I want to ask you something, Mando, to go back on this Robin Hood news because that's pretty much the big news of the day, right? Like at least, I mean, there's a lot, right. The the, the by bit news is not to be people really need to pay attention to by bit news.
And you're right, doubling down on that because it's true that last week I read the article, OK XI went to withdraw from Hong Kong. I was all like, oh, Hong Kong's going to be the spot. And I was super like taken aback from hearing that, right. You heard, you know, because that was been went back and forth a lot. Yeah, and now they're explicitly marketing to Chinese people, like in China, Like it literally, like it's literally saying you can verify your identity.
Look, I don't know if it's a sign up or not, but I guess we'll see. Super bullish news. But this Robin Hood stuff is really big, right, Mando? But question for you, Why the need to acquire an exchange for crypto? Do you think it's to separate themselves, like from a regulator's perspective? Probably. I mean the way that European regulation works as well as is often that you need to do it
with for each country. So I don't know what deals, I mean 200 million is not that much for an exchange. No like it sounds like pocket change for them, right? 200 mil. I wouldn't say. I mean, I don't know how much is Robin Hood worth Robin Hood. I mean, the Hood stock is like Hood stock is going crazy though. Robin Hood's at a $19.5 billion market cap, up 4% on the news today. So up well, up 25 points this month.
So it's, it's worth something obviously, but it's a $20 billion company buying a two $200 million company. So 1% of their of their company's value. So it's not, it's not absolutely insane, but I think it just gives them an entrance into, into Europe. And they already had a Robin Hood EU, but maybe, maybe this they felt would be stronger with, with Bitstamp. Personally, I think that China thing's bigger.
I think if if you start to see these exchanges start to open up explicitly to China, that's that's a big deal that, you know, that's a billion people. So yeah, that, that that would be very, very interesting to see. But it seems to, I know people are following, have been following it less, I feel like, because it's not like an easy headline. But if you get to read between the lines of what's been going on, it feels as though this whole move to Hong Kong thing is not going as potentially
planned. And instead, they're just going to guess that China can just open up by offshore agencies. So we we'll see, we'll see that. And then the kind of other news was just the big, the big predictions on ETH from Banek. Remember they had that crazy Solana prediction and then they'd come out with A22K ETH prediction. So they're bullish. Wait, that's the 22 K prediction was like bearish case, right? Because it was 150 K prediction too, no? That was their base case. 22K is
their base case. Base case, I think. Let's have a look. So Vanek, I forget what it was for Solana Vanek base case. I didn't see the solana one, what'd I miss? I'm trying to open this link for you guys. I looked into it all. So the place I saw from 2023 was Solana. Base case was 350 and the bull case was 3200. OK. Yeah, let me have a look. So yeah, bull case was 3000 by 2033. 1000 for Soul. Yeah. I don't have to go 330 bro, I may be dead by then. You guys give me 2030
expectations. Like what? What's their like? Yeah, what? What's their like 20252026 expectations? I mean, they made they made this prediction back in last year when but everything was one of us like a fraction of his right now like the biggest honor volumes over the last year. So I don't know what they they would they would let's just say Van Ecker bullish. They're coming out pretty crazy here or very high ones at least. I guess the 10X on east over the next five years is possible. It's.
Possible. For sure possible. I love that. I, I dug into that a bit. There was some other interesting takeaways. So like their, their second key take away in the report is they are recommending a 6% portfolio allocation to crypto for the average investor, which is, I mean, I think that's the number that we're starting to see floated around more from these investment managers. So I think we love to see that they recommended that 70% bitcoins, 30% ether split in
that portfolio. So, so no mention of Solana just yet. I don't think their analysis is, I mean, Amanda, you're, you're much more familiar with, with this type of analysis and due diligence than I am. But I did find, you know, how they got to their numbers to be
pretty interesting. So they basically maynet created their 20-30 forecast by looking at ISA, Tam, so total addressable market, which they calculated to be 15 trillion based on the finance, banking and payment sector, marketing, advertising, social and gaming, infrastructure and AI. And they put target penetration rates for each of those.
So they're thinking each can get to 7 1/2% of the finance sector Tam, 20% of the marketing and gaming and social, 10% infrastructure, 5% AI. And then I think perhaps their biggest assumption, they didn't assume that ETH will capture 70% of future crypto application development across all block chains with a 5 to 10% take rate. So that that brought them to a forecast 66 billion in free cash
flows. They put A33X multiple on that to get to a $2.2 trillion market cap, which equates to 22,000 per E. So that is their back in the applicant math. I mean, certainly that there's assumptions there that you can poke holes in. I think perhaps the, the one that I would find the most controversial is 70% of future crypto app development happening on ETH. I mean, that's a, that's a lofty
target. I mean, it's, it's perhaps pretty doable, but I don't know, it was interesting for me to, to read through, you know, how they got to the numbers because I hadn't really seen it laid out like that before. Yeah, I think, I think it's difficult to imagine a scenario where both Solana and ETH are at that crazy high valuation because the idea of crypto penetration or yeah, that seemed they seem like they're both going to be competing on a lot of their stuff. So I don't know.
Yeah, that's. What was also interesting, and I'll chub about this, I promise, they refer to ETH as four different things in the analysis. They call it digital oil, programmable money, yield bearing commodity and Internet reserve currency. I, I guess in their analysis it's kind of additive, which perhaps that makes the net positive. But you know, on the show we've been talking about how it's hard to answer the question of specifically what ETH is.
And I think even Vanek acknowledges that it's a lot of things, but not necessarily one. So we'll see how that sales pitch works. I like digital oil. That's kind of wild. It's. AI mean that's been a narrative I've heard. I've heard that narrative plenty of times. Yeah. Yeah. You know who loves to say that? It's Lattimore. It's from him, but like since yours if one of our friends it's it's maxi loves loves to say Bitcoin is it's digital gold and is digital oil. You know, chat a lot more.
He says it has his hair weaves in the back in the streets of Paris. You know developer's account, but it's OK. I think it's much stronger than than a yield bearing currency. I I I think it is stronger. I mean it's been a while since we've checked the ultrasound dot money website how we doing on the have strong wow, it seems like we're probably doing good. No Oh no, we've printed 10,000 more each this week. You know, but yeah, it's. Kind of. It's going to be inflationary
for a long, long time. I mean, since merged we're still down 375,000 each. That means still means something, right? Guys? It's almost two years since merge. Yeah. of the retail bull market. BlackRock is literally tokenizing funds and theorem and the CEO talks non-stop about a hunting tokenization and now Robin Hood the default stock trading up for Gen. Z is buying a crypto exchange to get share in the market. Imagine not being long AF in crypto right now. I couldn't so DC investor, you know well said well said I had to read this tweet out for everybody as if it wasn't enough to share it.

If you take the sum of the market values of all the meme coins is about $10 billion on this theorem, you have one meme coin called Shiba Inu, which is $15 billion, a single meme coin. And This is why we see the distinction between quality and quantity. And Solana is going in for quantity, quantity, quantity, and at the expense of all sorts of things that are more important in the grand, in the grand.
