The Chinese were saying they were closed, the US said they were closed, but then they
reduced tariffs. But there's definitely no deal officially done yet. So it just feels like maybe there is a high chance of a deal and futures roofed on the back of that. Gold went lower. Bitcoin has stayed at 104 K, which I think is very interesting. And what you saw is ETH continued to to to run very well. And then you saw a bunch of different meme coins had a had a have run as well. So it's it feels like a mini altcoin season, let's say for now LED.
Am I hearing altcoin season? Mainly by memes. So the meme market cap is back up to 80 billion now, which is a big move, and it's kind of rotating between different memes, although I would say the class of 2024 memes are the ones that have really gigasent. So most of this. Most of the bigger ones in the class of 2024 are up three to four X in the last week. So that includes in. Well, if I would say, is it class of 2023 with with? Actually maybe, but it's 24. I mean it really ran like
December, right? 20, yeah, I would say 24 I would count with physical, right. Yeah, but it what I'm talking about is like Mudeng peanut chill guy goat like some of these coins which would which were dead just came back. They're all winter meat coins to to note, by the way, and they just, Oh my. God bro, this. Is insane. That is a Wintermute special right there. Wintermute sends their regards bro. specials over the weekend. Obviously this is very excessive risk taking at this stage. But and then ETH, ETH is the main now performer. ETH just so strong today you had news that you're actually going to get in kind redemptions on the ETF from BlackRock, which I think was a very positive
headline. And then there were some headlines on on the Friday that that that they had met the SEC BlackRock as well about a few different things which are beneficial for like tokenization and, and, and staking. And I would see be seen as beneficial for Solana and and Eve. So strong, very, very strong out there for, for at least Ethan. That's caused this like mini
altcoin season. And I would say the main outperformers have have mainly been the the 2024 cycle memes and, and, and just some of the bigger memes actually, like they've, they've, they've the first ones to move so decent out there. I don't think I think pay attention to the gold correlation there, like gold has gone lower and generally that's a sign that Bitcoin might head a
little bit lower. I don't know if that means alts will go lower, but it's a, it's notable that Bitcoin barely reacted to the headline that whereas altcoins really did. So we've seen Bitcoin dominance go down to about 62% here from 50, sorry, 65 1/2. So it's down about 3%. If you're really bullish on alts, obviously that can go a long way, but but generally, generally if Bitcoin goes lower, that's not normally a great sign for alts, at least over the last
12 months. Look at this chart right here. Speaking of alts. What's that? Oh yeah, yeah. Altcoin seasons generally last for like 2-2 or three weeks. So I'd be very cognizant of that. Like they're not multi month things, but look look at the last altcoin seasons, the one in 20. I feel like the one in 2021 lasted for a lot longer. But recent ones, you know that one in November from peak from like that through just before it to the highs was like 3 weeks and then they all just died.
No, this, that's. Here this one. Yeah, each one of these like you tend to see stuff like this like very aggressive rallies like straight line and then it's not been like 2021, which is like rally for multiple months and then and then sell off a little less, a little less crazy at least when they outperformed Bitcoin. There's also the total market cap. It's a nice chart as well. I mean, CZ said 5 trillion in a year, so we'll see. It's only 1/2 percent move. It can happen. Yeah.
Only a 50% move. That's it. Broader, broader macro is interesting. Like obviously I've seen a big rally in in stocks. It's interesting just to see the response to this. It's like so many people are like in macro think you know that this is a Selva news event like. It's. Like that on the timeline.
And that, that makes me think, at least in, in macro, that people were underexposed to this, like in stocks, that, that, that reaction in stocks tells me that people were, were underexposed to this move because every single macro head is telling saying, oh, we're going to go lower. There's a recession coming in. And that might, I actually don't disagree with that, but this feels like a painful move, I
think for a lot of people. And that's, that's why these things can sometimes last for longer. Like this could easily put in a double top, right? But it could also get to like 6000, 2100 and and and then it's really painful if you see if you. Saw that I was reading what's Bob Lucas saying it's 1500 is the price you really want to break out in SPX because that was a rally and then 1500, so it's there now.

I actually I think it might risk adjusted, even outperform the memes on ETH. But I think it probably makes sense to own, you know, you know, like remember that this is this the reason why I say this. Do you remember in the past like 2021 when ETH rallied if you thought you owned ETH beta like sometimes it just was not a good. Trade only NFTS ran with it more. Even Solana went to 250. Everyone was in Solana beta and. I don't remember 21 saw memes personally.
