Part1. (Prayers from a pigpen) Moving onto our next study. Over the course of four episodes we will examine in the Scriptures those who have fallen and failed terribly, yet God in His lovingkindness received their prayer of contrition.

So often, more than we care to admit we make wrong choices for one reason or another and find ourselves in “pigpens”. The prodigal of Luke 15 will be the backdrop to this study.

We begin by delving into the cry and prayer of the writer of Psalm 51, a man chosen by God, raised to prominence, privilege and power, yet he pens these words of brokenness and pleads for mercy. This man is none other that David the king of Israel.
