Is Crypto A Security & Why Does It Matter?

It's the question that's caught everyone's attention over the past couple of weeks. The SEC are suing Coinbase & arguing that 13 crypto assets including Cardano, Solana & Polygon are securities. If the court deems that these cryptocurrencies are securities, the implications are wide ranging.

Today on the show, Ed is joined by Associate Professor Chris Berg, he’s the Director of the Blockchain Innovation Hub at RMIT. He explains what a security is, why it matters & what could happen if the court finds that these assets are securities.
