Episode description

American history is filled with tales of outlaws who roamed the old west, living life as they saw fit. In the 20th century, one man, Claude Dallas, decided to emulate them, living off the land as both a cowboy for hire and a fur trapper. In January 1982, his dreams came to an end when he shot and killed two game wardens before going on the run for fifteen months. Much has been said about Dallas, some of it true, some of it false stories meant to feed into the legend of America's last real outlaw. This week we will be looking to separate fact from fiction as we dive into the life of Claude Dallas, his crimes, and the legend that surrounds him.
