On November 15th, 1999, teenager Julie Surprenant waved goodbye to her friend and stepped off a bus in her hometown of Terrebonne, Quebec. Despite the stop being a short walk to her dad's apartment, Julie never made it home. What followed was a desperate hunt for the missing teenager. The search was led by her distraught father, Michel, who always suspected that the culprit was lurking close to home. But with suspicion consuming the small community the police investigation ran into trouble. The breakthrough would eventually come from an unlikely source - an anonymous tip off phoned into a local TV show.
