Dr. Jeremy Silver, MD, Medical Director of Emergency Medicine at Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital, joins Dean for this week’s health update. This week,  Dr. Silver talks about ALS and the effect it has on the body. Then, Dr. Silver answers some questions from listeners.

From top to bottom, a plaque displayed at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, the Launch Pad at Cape Canaveral, which launched the Apollo spacecrafts and a close up look inside the Command Module for the astronauts that went to the moon.  The shot on the right is my Dad, Paul Schwan, standing under the display of an engine from the Saturn 5 Rocket, on display at the Kennedy Space Center.  We spent two days there in 2016.
