This episode is about refurbish and retrofit buildings. In London there are a lot of buildings that are being refurbished. Different buildings are being converted into new asset classes. The 90’s, 80’s and 70’s offices need to be upgraded to new standards.
Dan tells about a department stores that he converted into an office with a gym and retail. It is challenging because of floorplans, but there is a lot of value still in the buildings without demolishing it. ESG is also a huge reason to save a lot of carbon by retrofit buildings.
