Episode description

In this show, George speaks with Stephen Jefferson co-founder of Bloom Labs. Bloom is a geolocation platform that helps journalists and other content creators add a geographic ID tag to where they are covering their stories from. Bloom was created as a part of Stephen's passion for local communities and technology, leading him to become a recent fellow at the Tow-Knight Center for Entrepreneurial Journalism at CUNY. Stephen grew up in the Washington DC region, working as a web developer and strategist for small businesses and non-profits throughout the region. He formed a non-profit to raise awareness for skateboard parks in northern Virginia while in high school and has been an innovator ever since.
