Darren manages startup and tech related initiatives for AED, including recruiting startup companies, connecting companies to capital, and The StartUp Arlington initiative, which aims to provide resources for technology startup companies in the community. Previously, Darren spent several years at multiple DC based startups including LivingSocial where he helped build out and launch "Escapes"; the company's travel platform which spawned a new sector in travel space now known as the flash-sale model. He later spent time at new BrandAnalytics (acquired by Sprinklr), a leading customer experience management SaaS based software, aimed at helping brands listen, engage, and drive customer loyalty.
