9-1-1: White men attack black man at restaurant

A black man was celebrating Mother’s Day with his white wife at a restaurant near Edgewater when another man walked up and asked him if he was from Africa and whether it was “Africa Day,” according to a charging affidavit.

The racial confrontation resulting in the arrest of three men - two on hate crimes charges - only got uglier with fists flying and two men hurling the n-word, according to the affidavit.
