Episode description

By Nicole O'Meara

"But you are a God ready to forgive, gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love." – Nehemiah 9:17

In this episode, we reflect on Nehemiah 9:17: "But you are a God ready to forgive, gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love." When we think of God's power, we often recall the grand miracles of the Bible—Noah's flood, the plagues of Egypt, and Lazarus rising from the dead. These awe-inspiring acts showcase God's sovereign control over nature.

However, there's another dimension to God's power—His quiet, transformative power to forgive. Today, we explore this subtle yet profound aspect of God's nature. We'll delve into the story of Corrie ten Boom, who experienced the divine power of forgiveness even in the aftermath of unimaginable suffering during World War II.

I will also share a personal journey of struggling with deep wounds and the steps I've taken toward forgiveness, inspired by God's boundless grace. Forgiving others, and sometimes ourselves, can feel impossible. Yet, through God's limitless power, we find the strength to forgive, demonstrating a miracle that glorifies God in its quiet, yet powerful, way.

Join us as we uncover how the quiet power of God's forgiveness can flow through us, enabling us to extend grace and mercy, even in the most challenging circumstances.
