There is no such thing as a good landlord, but god-awful landlords are available in abundance. We've all been without hot water at one point or played the "ground-is-hot-lava-so-your-couch-is-your-new-home" game upon discovering a family of cockroaches under the kitchen sink. In all these times, we are beholden to our landlords, however unreliable they may be. But if you want to feel better about whatever situation you've got going on, listen to the tale of an apartment that was too good to be true and the landlord who ruined it all. You'll want to call your landlord and say "thank you" at the end of this saga.
