All right, Minnesota Goodbye on Katie WDB, let's get started. I'm gonna make sure all my buttons are set correctly and we are recording. There have been a few times we recorded the Minnesota Goodbye and its not happened for a long time where it actually wasn't recording or there was something bleeding through in the background. So and a lot of the time we don't find out until at the end of it, and we go, oh God, what do we do? And then I leave and I'm a good luck right first one,
Kendra says quick talking point. I had a first this weekend of using a swiffer duster ha ha. I imagine I felt very similar to Day when he found out about the magic eracer. Professional cleaners probably think they are garbage, but I enjoyed it, and I was pleasantly surprised on how much dust it picked up. Any who, thanks for the laughs every morning, and I also knew the saw. I also now loved the song Vibes by Tove Low because of Jenny's music shuffle good one, have a good day. That's from
Kendra. Thank you, Kendra. I don't think she's ever written to the show before, so I recognize your last name. Thank you very much. Susan is big on some Dyson, a new it's she hangs it on the wall. It charges, it's got different heads on it, and it's picks up cat hair and dog hair like you wouldn't believe. I'm gonna have to ask her what it is because she actually had the neighbor. I'm not making this up. She had the neighbor come over to see how cool it was.
Then they went over to the neighbor's house to clean up the neighbor's carpet, and the neighbor went out and got one. Said, I'm gonna have to ask her now. Susan's a door to door vacuum sales a woman. That's great. I meantually curious because I just bought like one of the vacuums that you use water on couches because I need like a really good one now that I'm watching dogs all the time. So I'm curious what she's getting because I need a solid vacuum. Well, let me call her right now,
you know what. I can call her and just ask her what is the name? Because she's thrilled with it and it's like, is it handheld? It's absolutely handheld. Yeah, well it's not. It's portable. It's not a portable one. But you you know, you're moving back and forth. Hey, we're recording you really quick. Here. What's the name of that vacuum you're in love with that you were showing Christina the other day? Yon
Dyson? What though, I don't know that it has a name. Besides that, I mean, there's different versions of it, but it's the just a Dyson, a cordless Dyson cordless vacuum. You've been a remarkable help. Thank you very much. I don't remember. It's perfect. Look like it's got a lot of clear parts. It's long, it's not stubby, a lot of accessory parts. It like the long skinny tube. Is it a long skinny tube? Yeah, totally. They must have improven because I used
to have one. It was horrible, and so yeah, that's the way. Now you should see like the um if you vacuum just like our family room area, it can fill the canister with catfer Yeah. I can imagine it's up really good, kind of like your mom, right, oh my god, like mama, like your mama. Okay, all right, I'll talk to you. You just go back and forth saying your mamamakay, suck it, Betty, Betty. You know that joke. I've told you guys that joke. Get it on the podcast, like last week, suck it
Betty. Yeah, okay, okay, bye, okay, Betty. Just a heads up. This one is called the Dyson cyclone V ten Animal. That's the one I have, and I mean Dave said it was the right one, but that's a specific Dyson. How much is that one? And then we'll move on tom sales for forty nine right originally? But you need you need a good vacuum. You did, you're dealing with like animal hearing. I don't know which brand I are, what version I have, but
I will tell you that Jenny and I got the same vacuum. I bought two of them because it burnout, because it was really good at first and then it burnout. So I about two as like, I'm not buying a third one of these mother efforts. I got a shark and it has been game changing. And I had that tall, thin stick one. It wouldn't hold charge was my issue and only little bit. So that's why I say I'm like they must. First of all, I probably bought the cheaper version
of it and not the five hundred dollar one. I'm going to give you advice on vacuum cleaners that I will give to anybody. Don't buy a cheap ee Walmart sixty nine nine nine vacuum cleaner. You get what you pay for and you'll use it twice and you'll stop working, you'll throw it in the dumpster, So don't buy it. It's crazy to me, though, something as basic as a vacuum, it wouldn't just be a universal machine. Yeah, because I understand having attachments and things like that, but it's so interesting
how it could be. There could be a crappy version of a vacuum. It's just like the same thing. Well it's not, though, because there's like the motor and the electronics and I mean all that. One of my favorite stories was Walmart asked Toro years ago, like fifteen twenty years ago. They said, Toro, make a lawnmower we can sell at Walmart, but the prices can't be over one hundred and fifty dollars or whatever it was. And Toro try and tried, but they could not come up with a quality
lawnmower at that price. So they said, we don't want to do it. We're not going to put a Toro lawnmower in Walmart. That sucks and that's kind of I'll be honest with you, Walmart is in a way, it's kind of a ripoff because you think you're getting a good vacuum cleaner and it's not. It's cheap, and that's why you know you don't want to buy. I mean, if you buy a look, if you buy a
coffee maker at Walmart, who cares what can go wrong with it? But if you buy a vacuum at Walmart, you can't buy the sixty one next one. A little input to the listeners thinking about adopting or foster dog. I think it really depends on their situation. Two. We have two big, energetic dogs seven and seven years and nine months, a cat, twenty one chickens, five ducks, and a fish. Obviously, the dogs get the most attention, and our cat is such an asshole who doesn't want to
cuddle. We also have three kids, almost five years old and twins who are three. Sometimes I love having two dogs, and sometimes I kind of regret it, but I'd never get rid of the obviously, like but Holy shit. My dogs love my kids. My kids give them attention more than I do. My oldest is constantly cuddling and loving up on him, and those dogs are smitten with the kids and always have been since my oldest was
born. But it's a hard one too. I'm as stay it. I also stay home, so I'm home to do a lot of stuff with the dogs and kids. So how much you work as a big factor too. A lot of factors when you have a multidg household. My worst days ever are when it's raining. On those days, I don't enjoy having two large dogs. Yeah. Ps, after having three kids in two years, my husband keep his hands off me. Oh, can't keep his hands off me. Still, if you have a good guy, he'll love you even more
and think you're sexier after having his children. Try not to worry too much about it, but it's hard not to. Ye are two. That person is addressing two different emails. We ride yesterday, Just so you know, Dave, Okay, yeah, I kind of got that one. That makes sense. Next one with Caribou relates to topics. Don't say my name,
okay. Possibly. I wanted to reach out to the listener who talked about the Crafted Press at Cariboo and the extra caramel in the app, because she said that she wanted to express in the app when she ordered on the app one pump, not too or something like that, and she can tell when they mess it up. Caribou employee here, I do agree they need to
update the app to make it more user friendly. The Crafted Press flavors only get half a single pump of flavor versus a regular small drink gets three pumps, So when you get extra caramel with a crafted Press, it's only a half single pump. More so one pump total going into the drink. Wow, thank you for that one here to answer all your boo questions. That is love your barista pe one listener, Thank you very much. This one
says, can I get Foulon to read my email? It might be long, but I think it's worth it. So I'm going to stop right now and let you Fallon take over this email. Okay. So this one with I called in during no phone screen or Friday in January, and I told you all that in August I had called a medium and everything she told me had come true. So then I said, well, what were the things? So she broke down these things in four categories. It is long,
but let's see. Here's one. I'll read one of the smaller ones, my buying habits. In the middle of our conversation, she said, you don't have a weird shopping thing, do you? I literally see you finding something that you like and buying it in every color. Earlier that week, I had purchased seven pairs of under armor shorts. Weird. This one said number two our house. That was one I had touched on while on the radio. But when I spoke to her, she said, you don't have
two houses, do you. We definitely did not. I'll spare you the rest of the story, but they ended up having two houses at the same time, basically right after that. Okay, so she saw that coming. She had one with her husband. She knew that we weren't getting pregnant because of the medication my husband is on. She said, Uh, does your husband have some kind of autoimmune disorder? It's almost like he has crones.
I can just feel something in a stomach eating itself. My husband was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis about six years ago, and we have struggled with it on and off to get pregnant with our son. My husband stopped taking his pills until I ovulated, etc. Etc. So she basically nailed a bunch of different things. But anyway, she did to give a shout out to this person in case people are interested. She said, her name is Stacy Renee. She is sole worker, Stacy Renee. She's literally the best, and
I can't wait to shout. Okay, I won't say that part because it was private, but yes, that's kind of I did weed out a few things, but yeah, I feel like a fool. I hear about people finding mediums or people and they just blow their mind, and I always think that's really cool to hear. Yeah, I think that's true too. I'm not a subscriber. I would never pay to go to a medium or a psychic. But I will say that Gary's been on a few times and he
has nailed a couple of things. But I also will say he's missed a hell of a lot, and so you know what, I think, it's like, like a lot of things. If it works for you, it works for you. And some people swear by Gary Spivey, And one of the reasons we stopped having him on is because people said I think it became more and more popular in an age of skepticism to say I don't believe in psychics. So we gave him a break. We love Gary, but I'll tell you is a twenty five year run, so it was a pretty good
run. Ask about him and we get emails, our Facebook messages about him still and we would not not have him on again. We've had him on a couple of times, like for Halloween. Yeah, we're having on again. We like Gary, but it was just you know, listen, when people give feedback to the show that majority did not like, not Gary, but psychics, then we just said, okay, time to give it a rest. Next one love listening to show on podcast. It makes my day
to laugh along, Oh, to laugh along. I want to know if it is considered normal or if I should grow up. Please don't say my name. My fiance and I have been together for a while, we have one kid, and there's absolutely no history of cheating in our relationship. My fiance's X is like to make a comeback every once in a while. He has no ties to them. Okay, let's get into the most recent situation. We were to gathering with all of our friends his ex girlfriend is friends
with the host, and she came over. This is the first time in our whole relationships being around. She kept bringing up things they used to do together. Do you think it's weird or disrespectful? She kept bringing up their past or am I being too sensitive? Full disclosure, I grew up with a dad that cheated on my mom and then his wife, my stepmom, cheating on him all the time. I could be extra sensitive due to my
upbringing. Thanks, I would say, yes, that is definitely going to go into your thoughts because I had a girlfriend in Las Vegas whose dad cheated on her mom, and so she was always had her radar up to see whether I was cheating if I didn't answer the phone or if I took too long to answer that I don't even know. And I was like, no, but that was really painful to get through. I say it's innocent. I just say she was making conversation a little bit awkward. I don't think
there's anything there for you to worry about. Well, I think I guess it would depend on which like what kind of thing she and how in depth she went, you know, to know if it's innocent. I also I think it's a little weird, just because like everyone's not everyone, but you've there are lots of situations where you've been in the same room as an X. It's a little with your current people, it's a little bit awkward. Oh it is, And you honestly almost act like you didn't ever date or
know that person too. I think usually make your partner more comfortable. So I don't think that girl is being completely innocent. Oh I don't think so it was. She says, is it weird or disrespectful? Yeah, but if you know what, I would not overanalyze it. It's not going to happen again. Yeah, or disrespectful if your partner was the one leading that. But it sounds like he was just happened to be there and was part
of something she was initiating. I will say that we kind of ran into this a few months ago because Susan and Carson and myself we're in Los Angeles and we were moving cars into Los Angeles and I have a friend named Shannon. She's been on the show before. She's like a casting director and she's very successful, and she lives in LA and we used to date back before Alison was born and Susan knows that. But it was so long ago.
But it was still a little bit awkward to sit there and have drinks with this woman, that Shannon, that Susan knows that I used to date. Yeah, so it was a little bit awkward. I might have told him because it wasn't a secret. No, I know, but I didn't know. I would that be awkward for him? But probably I don't know. He's so quiet about things like that. I never know what that kid is thinking. Yeah right, don't say my name. I listened every day.
I never had much to write about. Listening to yesterday's podcast, I was streaming a pair of I was steaming a pair of work pants and reminded me of something that drives me crazy. Okay, do you ever ordered a pair of pants or shirt from somewhere in multiple colors? I have a couple of times, pants specifically from American Eagle, another from Old Navy. What drives me crazy is when I ordered the same pants, same size, same everything,
in two different colors. I swear I get two different pair of pants. I got a pair of jeans from Old Navy and a dark wash I love so much that I ordered the same wear pair and a lightwash, and it was always too small and too tight and never fit the same. The parent I'm currently steaming is from Old Navy. Got a pair, a black pair of dress pants I live in, so I got another in gray.
I swear this pair of gray pants will wrinkle in the dryer if you leave it for thirty seconds after the cycle finishes, and it's always too tight and just off. It's true. I agree, it's not. You could argue, Yeah, of course, it definitely happens if if it's different brands, but certain places like Old Navy. Absolutely. I don't know what it is. I don't know if they die for certain genes make them shrink or what it is. But absolutely I just bought these pants from a brand called Cot
and they were my normal size. They were huge on me, and I was like, what the heck? But okay, whatever, so I returned them. And then I saw in the comment all the reviews who are like, what the heck these the black jeans and this size are way too small, but the blue jeans and this pant are like huge, What is happening?
So it's definitely common. That totally makes sense. Yeah. Also, there's an incredible project coming to Manicello this summer called the Wall that Heals, a memorial to the Vietnam War. It looks incredible in Dave a Dave, I thought you would be interested in taking a look sometime. Of course, you don't have to volunteer, but they were asking for volunteers to help put up the wall, talk to veterans, and just be a lending hand. I've attached to Flyer. Thanks for all you do. Listening to you is
the best part of my day. Thank you very much. I actually saw this wall about a year ago. There was at a motorcycle show up northwest somewhere. I don't remember where it was exactly, but they had this big, traveling like miniature replica of the wall. So yeah, I might check that out. Thank you very much. Next one morning, crew, you can say my name. My name is Joyce. I'm twenty seven, not an old lady like you might assume from my name Joyce. You may or
may not remember me from the State. Ferry told Drake he looks like my brother and showed you a picture. It still shocks me all the time how much he reminds me of my brother in looks, in personality. I kind of do remember that one. I'm writing today because I heard you all talking about my AI on Snapchat this morning. I agree, it seems a little strange, so I was hesitant to do anything with it, but my boyfriend
convinced me to ask it random questions. I am a huge Swift ye, so naturally I asked him Taylor Swift questions and was shocked that the AI bought didn't know about Taylor's newest album, Midnights. I was surprised because I assumed it would pull invote from Google or something, but clearly it's behind the times. Just makes me curious where it gets his information from. I told it to do some research, and it still came back and said Taylor does not
have an album called Midnights. I thought you all might find it interesting, so I figured I would share. And so she shows a screenshot of my AI. What is Taylor Swift's newest album? My AI? Taylor Swift's newest album is called Evermore. That's not even the newest one either, because she's done re records since. Then. Joyce goes on to say, I love listening to the show every day and even re listen to old podcasts, so I can hang out with you every day. Thank you, Joyce. I
really appreciate that, and I believe that is it. That is all we got on the Minnesota Goodbye, so thank you. If it being gone yesterday during the Minnesota Goodbye, we might have missed an email or two. I'm not sure. Yeah, if we didn't get it yesterday and you sent it, re send it. I'll reford it today. Well, let me try this one just to see if this one, as I'm gonna ask whether these were ones you read, you were talking about trauma. I wanted to pipe
in you did, Okay, got it? Okay, that one's done. I've been listening since high school over fifteen years ago. I wanted to talk about somebody with a caribou app and you talked about that one too. Okay, that one's gone. I'm going to assume then that you talked about all of these five, so probably have a five in a row at the top you're going to read, if anything, it'd be bottom ones. Probably.
Okay, Oh, let's try this one. Okay, here we go Yesterday, Fallon says Jake does a great job of making Uko did that one too? Um Hey, gang Jenny in the Morning Zoo, quick questions and anybody see Stevo's commercial for Dean's on TV. Okay, I'm done, Yeah, we've done them all. Good, you got a good do It podcast. Let's meeting on me going yep yep, dot one yep yep. Well then that means we need more, so please send those in to Ryan's show at KDWB dot com
