They Cloned Tyrone (2023)

In this week's episode Dave & Jess watch They Cloned Tyrone on Netflix, which the couple paired with a Fancy Free cocktail.  Does this genre-bending film distinguish itself from other throwback thrillers, or is it a derivative mess of an experiment? 

The conversation involves comparisons of this film to other Blaxploitation films and modern spoofs, and Dave provides a 30 second history of the exploitation film subgenre.  Dave also drops a CSB (cool story, bro) about his run-in with Kiefer Sutherland, prompting Jess to reveal she has never seen The Lost Boys.  And finally, the couple rail against the disparate sound levels in modern movies.
