This is possibly the most important podcast I have ever made since 2019, since I started this journey of broadcasting podcast storytelling, mostly in the realm of true crime. My previous name was Vancouver True Crime, and recently in 2023, I went into a different direction to being the Dark Mind

detective. My focus was to take complex stories, for example, like the Robert Picked in Case, which I've been researching and writing for over a year now, and trying to make sense of these complexities and these anomalies in these cases that seem to present themselves a lot in Canadian society. My name is Mark and I was born and raised in 1971, Vancouver, BC showing my age a bit. I always loved Canada. I loved that I had great access

to education. Generally speaking, I grew up in safe neighborhoods and had a strong quality of life. My father is American, which gives me dual citizenship, and I have spent quite a lot of times in the United States. I've worked for large software corporations where I had a territory of over 40 cities, mostly in the USI lived in New York, Colorado, and a little bit in California. But when I was in the United States, I always proudly represented myself as a Canadian first.

I love that we had good access to health care. I liked our multiculturalism, being exposed to different cultures, different foods, different celebrations. It gave my life a certain richness and I'm grateful for it. I liked our reputation of Canadians being peacekeepers, not war makers, and we were considered a diplomatic powerhouse. Since the pandemic, Canada has never truly recovered psychologically, economically and even socially.

Instead of a structured recovery plan post pandemic we opened the floodgates to mass migration, mostly from the third world. Well Canadian struggled. What I don't understand we spent several years under government imposed restrictions. We were told we needed to be micromanaged for public health. But yet the borders opened up as soon as a pandemic was over, our economy never bounced back and government corruption both federally and locally became the new normal.

A different Canada emerged. We now live in what our leaders call a post national state and some call it the Great Reset. Whatever the name, Canada is in freefall. We are now locked in a trade war with our largest ally and trading partner, the United States. Since running this platform, I investigated some of the darkest, most complex cases in Canadian history. For the last year, I've been writing about the horrors of the

robber Picton case. As much as I wanted to focus on that story, I found myself consumed by existential crisis that Canada now faces. And because I have children. And because I want them to have a future. And quite frankly, I'm tired of being terrorized by uncertainty and watching the decline. Over the past few months, alongside of my work on the Robert Picton case, I have written a series of editorials and podcasts, a breaking down of how we got here, the history, the politics.

That long decline in my opinion, started with Pierre Trudeau the father. That discussion is for another episode. So I want you to think about a question to those that are listening right now. Is this incompetence or the Great Reset? Is can a decline under Trudeau due to incompetence or part of a larger agenda? What does a great reset really mean? Is it just a conspiracy theory or is there substance behind it? What does Trudeau's post national state rhetoric fit into the bigger picture?

Trudeau's role as a performer, not a leader. Is he even the one in control? With the Canadian economy on the edge of collapse, why does Trudeau seem hell bent on making it worse? So the question is, is Trudeau just incompetent or has this decline been engineered from the start? Why Trump keeps saying Canada's the 51st state? Trolling and psychological warfare. Trump loves to mock weak leaders, and Trudeau is an easy target.

By repeatedly calling Trudeau the governor of Canada and suggesting the US will take over, he's humiliating Trudeau on the world stage. This, of course, is forcing Trudeau to react emotionally. Trudeau and his team gets easily triggered. Trump knows this and keeps pushing buttons. Every time Trudeau lashes out emotional and makes him look weaker. Many Americans see Canada as weak, woke and socialist. Trump's messaging plays into that.

He frames it as America first, a weak globalist Trudeau. Trump wants to punish Canada for past insults and failed trade deals. By creating tension, he puts Canada on the defensive. So when real trade negotiates happen, Canada's in a weaker position. Even if Trump isn't serious about annexing Canada, he's using this narrative to humiliate Trudeau, whip up emotion and put pressure on Canada. So the question is, what could Canada do if Trump was actually serious? Unfortunately not much.

Canada's military is almost non existence. Canada's military ranks in the 27th position in military power globally. the United States is number one. No nuclear weapons, no real missile defense and limited Air Force heavily dependent on NORAD which is controlled by the US and no real allies would intervene. The UK. The King Charles just invited Trump for a a grand state visit which has been quoted as unprecedent. He ain't come in to save Canada.

Commonwealth nations. They'll tweet about it, but they don't have the power to stop it. NATO. US funds most of NATO. Who's going to fight the US to protect Canada? Nobody. Canada has no leverage, no trade deals with major allies, weak global influence, no economic self-sufficiency. Canada relies on the US for exports, defense and economic

stability. Our former Prime Minister John Kretschen was once quoted he doesn't need to increase military funding for the Canadian Armed Forces because, as he was quoted saying, the US will protect us. So back to the question. Let's go back to the question of incompetence or the Great Reset theory #1 Trudeau's just incompetence. He was never qualified to lead. His inexperience before politics was teaching drama.

He surrounds himself, weak inexperienced advisors and most of his key policies have been reactive not strategic. He relies on photo OPS and talking points rather than real leadership. His government is a collapsing M PS are fleeing his approval's at an all time low theory #2 this was always the plan. The Great Reset, the post nationalistic state. Trudeau has repeatedly referenced global agendas like the Great Reset.

His policy aligns with dismantling of national sovereignty, weak borders, weakened military economic dependence on foreign powers. He has weakened Canada's economy, making it easier to integrate into a new system. He has actively alienated allies and key trading partners. He's more interested in pushing globalist talking points rather than defending Canadian interests. Is Trudeau just a failed leader or is he executing an agenda that most Canadians didn't sign up for?

The Great Reset, what it means and how does Trudeau fit in? What is the great Reset? The Great Reset is a concept introduced by the World Economic Forum, the WEF and 2020 led by Klaus Schaub. Sorry, sad to do that. The WEF promotes an idea that capitalism needs to be reimagined and nations should move towards a post national centralized system. Their slogan you'll owe nothing and be happy. Geez, I'll read that again. Their slogan is you'll owe nothing and be happy.

Personally. Fuck that shit. Trudeau's own words on the Great Reset and the post national state 2015 Trudeau said Canada is the first post national state, meaning national identity should be erased. In 2020, Trudeau said the pandemic provided an opportunity for the Great Reset to reimagine economies. In 2022, Trudeau's policy has aligned with the Great Reset

principles. Weakening the middle class, making home ownership unattainable, expanding government dependency, normalizing dependence on the state, mass migration with no infrastructure planning leading to economic strain, Crackdown on independent media, limiting the spread of opposing viewpoints. The Great Reset is not a conspiracy theory, it's an openly discussed agenda. Trudeau has spoken about this in his own words. So is Trudeau even in control? The mascot theory, Trudeau's

strength performative. Trudeau's true strength, performance, not leadership. Trudeau doesn't write his speeches. Is Trudeau even in control? The mascot theory. Trudeau's true strength Performance, not leadership. Trudeau doesn't write his speeches. His delivery is scripted, rehearsed and performative. His biggest skill is smiling in camera, not leading a country. He shows no deep understanding

of economics or geopolitics. His discussions benefit globalist interest rather than Canadians. Key example the UK visit the Zielinski photo op. Trudeau flew to the UK for a photo op with Zielinski. While Canada faces an economic crisis, he seems more interested in media appearances rather than solving domestic issues. Every crisis is met with a carefully staged media moment while the country burns. Trudeau isn't leading, he is

performing. The real question is, is who is writing the scripts that he reads and performs? the US tariff war? Why is Trudeau making things worse? The economic realities of a trade war with the US. Canada cannot win a tariff war with the US. Our economy is too dependent. The Bank of Canada has warned that new tariffs could erase any economic recovery. If Trudeau truly cared about the economy, why would he escalate tensions with our biggest trading partner? Possible explanations for

Trudeau's actions? Sheer incompetence, trying to provoke Trump to make himself look like the hero for the progressives. Deliberately weakened Canada's economy to align with the Great Reset policy. A rational leader would be negotiating trade solutions, not doubling down on destructive policies. So what happens if nothing changes the future of Canada under this agenda? 25 to 2030 and 2025? More tariffs from the US crushing Canadian industries.

The housing crisis reaches a breaking point. The middle class will be wiped out by 27. The Canadian dollar weakens. Higher pricing reduce purchasing power. More businesses leave Canada due to over regulations and taxes. Immigration strain cities beyond capacity. Healthcare system collapse by 20-30. The Great Reset model is fully implemented. Ownership a property is nearly impossible for the average citizens.

Canada becomes fully dependent on international trade, alliances, more authoritarian government control over finance, speech and business. If Trudeau's agenda continues unchecked, Canada will no longer function as an independent nation. So is Trudeau just incompetent or has this been the plan all along? Why is Canada economic policy aligning with the globalist Great Reset principles? Why does Trudeau focus more on performance photo op than real leadership?

If Canada keeps following this path, what will the country look like in five to 10 years from now? So let's understand tariffs and the US trade war. What are tariffs, how do they work and how does Canada's trade war with the US is impacting? Understanding tariffs, the Canadian U.S. trade war, what our tariffs are, how do they work, and how Canada's trade war with the US is impacting our economy. So what is a tariff? Simple explanation, A tariff is a tax on imported or exported

goods. Government imposed tariffs to protect domestic industry or punish other nations. If the US puts a 20% tariffs on Canadian steel, that means every Canadian company selling steel to the US must pay 20% more in taxes. Tariffs lead to higher prices for consumers, retaliation from other countries, trade wars, potential job losses in industry that relies on imports. Trump's tariff policy and what do they mean for Canada?

Trump has long threatened tariffs on Canada, especially steel, aluminum, dairy and auto parts, and 2024 new tariffs were announced targeting Canadian industries. Canada's response? Trudeau's government retaliates by banning US liquor imports. But is that really an effective countermeasurement? The bigger picture Canada's economic dependency on the US 75% of Canadian exports go to the US. We don't have a major trade deal elsewhere. A full blown tariff war

escalate. Canada is far more vulnerable than the US. So what's at stake in AUS Canada? Trade war for Canada? High risk. the US is Canada's largest trading partner. 75% of exports go to the US. If tariffs escalate, industries like lumber, dairy and auto manufacturer like auto manufacturing will suffer badly. With few trade deals elsewhere, Canada has nowhere else to turn for market share. The weak Canadian dollar economic struggles makes it hard to absorb trade losses for the US.

Lower risk. Canada's important but not essential to the US economy. If a trade war escalates, the US industry, especially in the Midwest, will suffer but can't. But the US has a diversified global trade network. Trump's American First policy will see harsher tariffs on Canadian goods. The big picture Canada stands. The big picture Canada stands to lose much more than the US yet. Trudeau's government antagonizes Trump instead of securing a more

stable economic relationship. So why is the media whipping this up? The media frames Trump as a bully in Cannes, as a victim. Even though Trudeau's failed policy has caused much of this economic mess, it generates clicks and outrage. Trade war sound dramatic and fuels engagement, even if the coverage is misleading. It deflects from Trudeau's economic failures and Canada's lack of trade deals. High debt, weak energy policies are ignored in favor of blaming Trump.

The media should question Trudeau's failure, but instead they're distracting Canadians with Trump related outrage. And how does fentanyl and money laundering crisis fits into this? Canada is a money laundering hub. Billions of dirty money from China flows through Canada, particularly in Vancouver. Real estate research, the Vancouver model. It's worth noting on a side note, my very first podcast that I did in 2019, it's not up anymore, but I'm going to reboot

it again. It was my very first podcast that I made and it was called the Vancouver Model. Money Laundering and Chinese interference and the fentanyl crisis. Weak financial regulations allow criminals to clean fentanyl profits through casino real estate and shell companies. How this hurts the US Fentanyl from China flows from Canada into the US market, fueling

America's opioid crisis. The US pressured Canada crackdown, but Canada downplays this issue claiming that only 1% of fentanyl enters the US via Canada, a very highly questionable statistic. I'd like to add another note. I do find it offensive seeing this parrot over and over again because I do know a lot about this issue.

For more for the more intelligent listeners, I don't mean that to sound insulting, but that those who really want to understand this issue, I would suggest looking into Sam Cooper's work who's been very amazing at uncovering this topic of fentanyl foreign interference and stuff. Again, I can't emphasize this. I'm sick of this talking point and I even see so-called influencers that generally do good work and they like to hold their finger up and and up.

Like only 1% of fentanyl comes into Canada, goes from Canada into the states. Fucking bullshit. It's because we have such shit enforcement that we've only caught 1%, but they pair it over and over again. And this is what I mean, and I don't mean to get all hot headed

at this issue. I've been researching this issue since 2019. What I've seen, and it goes into the realm of my other research of narcissistic abuse is when you challenge someone on the spectrum and the spectrum type of behavior, instead of taking accountability, they double down. Oh, 1%, we're just being bullied, right? Anyone knows that this is a big issue? And it's not just fentanyl, it's meth, it's all kinds of drugs. We've been busting super lab

after super lab after super lab. So Trump's focus on Canada isn't just about trade, It's about Canada to address its role in fentanyl trafficking and money laundering. So what does this mean for our future? If Canada fails to secure new trade partners and escalate tensions with the US, its economy will suffer in the long run. In the long term, the fentanyl issue could lead to greater US scrutiny. Possible sanctions on Canadian financial network.

It's worth also noting that the TD Bank, one of the most trusted Canadian institutions, was caught laundering money in the US and was fined $4 billion. Not under the Trump administration, but under the Biden administration. So it's an open secret. So just because they were caught in the States, which has more regulation, and Canada's known for very little regulation, do you think that the same institution is not doing it here?

If Trudeau's media allies keep deflecting responsibility, most Canadians might not realize the crisis until it's much too late.
