Episode description

Marcus Chan is the President and Founder of Venli Consulting. He’s trained thousands of sales professionals around the world. He goes over the biggest mistakes that salespeople make when they are trying to land a sale. Sales isn’t just about pitching yourself. It’s about listening to the needs and wants of the client. A lot of new salespeople think that making a sale is about delivering a great monologue, but often people don’t want that much information coming at them without interaction.

Marcus talks about growing up in a poor family and working in their restaurant as a child. There, he learned to work hard. Now he is looking at his own son and figuring out the best parenting techniques to pass those skills onto his son. He goes over the skills and tools he’s learned to be a hard worker and achieve his big dreams.
