Episode 8: Hootie and The Bluefish

I just got a little card game at one o'clock, so Dan, more efficient to see that. They're calling me now to play as a joke. But but you do you take money from senior citizens, don't you? When you play cards? Um? That game is um. COVID governed that game. How most of those senior citizens died off? That was the younger group. And I played for no money. It's just it's just go to kill four hours before I

have to go pick NB up. So so before you pick your wife up, because you have nothing else going on. That's just a four hour card game. No more, no more high stakes bridge. Yeah, it's little small stakes is nothing. I couldn't lose if I tried. It's just a joke. Just to recap from last week. Uh Larry minus three from last week, minus three units, he's down to plus seventeen. Dylan Dylan plus five from last week, so he's even on the year. Uh bad Larry's record last week four

and five and Dylan last week six and four. Any anything we want to recap from last week, usually tell me about, you know, a loss, you had a bad beat, and somehow that's an excuse. Nobody I've beat my my thoughts on my three team teaser, or if the Giants could get ten points, that's an easy cover and they going to their ub Carolina didn't want to show up. I said, I wonder whom was gonna get forward. I didn't realize both of them were gonna try and get forward for me. But that was that was over at halftime, and so I lost the three team teams. My I lost my big bet. You're gonna lose a little bit of money. I'm good with it. Nobody listened to me about wake Force and Army being the best game of the weekend. That was actually and it was a good game. It was awesome. Now I wouldn't have bet on it, but it was the best game. I think that the

point total hit like a hundred and twenty something like that. Yeah, alright, so picks from last week, anything that stands out Dylan that you want to uh rest your hat on here? Well, so wait, if he was up five, you know, I said, he mustn't want to hit his big bet. I did. Um. I hit the Colts on Sunday night. Um, so that was nice. I did emotionally had a tough one because I bet on the Ravens again as I often do. Um, and that was just not even. I watched that and

I was I turned it off. I was like, this isn't even close. You didn't believe in the Bengals. No, I don't, but I am believing in them this week, which we'll get to later. Um. But otherwise, all pretty solid week. I'll take that. Nothing nothing too crazy, no bad or particularly great beats. this week, Packers plus six and a half. There, I don't I like this one a lot, and everything all signs point to being stupid, so therefore I'm taking No. We just called it being Dalan Belah, but there are status crunch of the prime time dog numbers, and so far they're nine and three for me this season. been really good against the spread imaging UM. And then Georgia minus fourteen VERSU Florida. This one is tough because this seems like I don't know. I just think after the Kentucky fiasca with Georgia last week where Larry got screwed, they'll come back strong and cover the spread this week. Can I bad lair? College football are you are you giving him that? I mean, is that Georgia down a

four team? Uh? It was, I believe so. Um. I looked at the fourteen a half and I was I didn't want to give the fra half, so I didn't touch that. Dan, I'm good with your your lines with that's fine. Big bet is uh four units on the Packers plus six and a half um, and then I've got two unit bets from there. I've got what the football team plus three versus the Broncos. Like that one. I'd take that straight up to but I'm gonna stick with the spread. Um Bengals minus ten and a half versus the Jets and the Giants plus nine and a versus the Chiefs

on Monday Night. You're you're good in prime time with the underdogs. I am. But there is one the Sunday night game is that I believe Cowboys Vikings and the Vikings a couple of point underdogs. I can't bet on Kirk Cousins in prime time, though, so I'm skipping that one entirely. The Cowboys are minus two and I got the Cowboys six and oh against the spread. Bad lair your NFL. Okay, So the aforementioned Cardinals, these are all two my NFL game to three units. Cardinals minus six

and a half against the Packer against Dylan's Packers. Okay. I got the Rams minus fourteen against the Texans, the Eagles minus three against the Lions, the Falcons minus three against the Panthers, and I do have Dallas. I have it at minus two and a half against the Vikings. I'm gonna give it to you too. Yeah. Well I was gonna hold you to that because I heard you say it was two already. Yeah. Yeah, okay, I like you being fair, Dan, that's good. Yeah, there's no bias.

I give it, I take it away. Uh So what else do you have? Then? I have three three team teasers, and Dylan, we're not going against each other, but I love you taking the Bengals because the first one is the Bengals, the Chiefs and the Bills Bengals and Chiefs. And by the way, basically pick Larry, it's Bengals, not Bengals. Bengals is a is a music group. I thought Bengal was a Tiger. No, it's Bengals. Okay. Being from Cincinnati, it's we're not the Bengals, it's the bengalss Bengals. Okay.

I got the Cincinnati, Kansas City and Buffalo in three team teas. Um are my Bills at three or than a haf I got you three? Very nice. That's that's big. Well, not a tease. It's not big because you lose the push.

Then I have the Rams minus for the Bengals and the Bills, and then I have the Rams, the Chiefs and the over in the patch game over Under is thirty eight perfect and they're all three units Dan, okay, the three units to pop on this three units of pop, Dylan, here's your big chance to get back to almost even with me. Yeah, well, I could go either way. I could. You could really pile on Notre Dame. I stayed away from Notre Dame because I'm afraid of North Carolina, so

I didn't even touch the game. And then I'm against the Jets and the Giants. So he was one of those wings where Notre Dame can lose in the Jets and Giants win and you'll be up on me and units. We did talk about that. I didn't. I don't see it happening, but announced anything can happened. Also, I'm pretty the Seahawks are firmly firmly Yeah, you're definitely not. They're not going to I want to go to flood Ruckers.

So yeah, well I hope because I didn't, I should put in a unit on Notre Dame and not going to Damn because I'll be equally happy if they win. Yeah, but I don't want you doing this where you kind of couch something and then you will say next week. Yeah see, yeah I told you about Notre Dame. No. No, if I don't have it written down your shoot, I won't even remember. Like the whole point of gambling those to the shata is Yeah, yeah, I know, I'm part

of it, right. Yeah. They only tell you when they win. It's rare when they tell you. Now I'm forced to tell people when I live. Yeah, you did well, so you're very happy this week? you this weekend. Okay, here they don't. I know that they're not sophisticated enough to bet my teasers and my teaser what's been hurting me this year? Yeah? You love? Not a personal question, but did Vegas call and make us, you know, put these bets in before even the injury reports come out? Well, no, I'm traveling, so I wouldn't. I wasn't gonna be able to do it with everybody in the studio, and that's the only reason why. But I wouldn't be surprised if Vegas keeps an eye on
