Episode 3: This Is A Chip Shot

not what I think. I have myself down like nine units. We're gonna be flipping forty and fifty units in five weeks, so I'm not I'm not too concerned about being down nine. It's like in golf, will be rolling in pretty fair. Okay, let's let's recap the weekend as gory as it was. Dylan recap, How you fared? Um? So I finished five and seven? Um not terrible, not great. I struggled with college again, which is sort of becoming a trend. I think I went one one in three. I only had

Cincinnati hit against Indiana. UM NFL was a little better, but still tough. I did hit my Ravens money line bet though, and the over in that game. Okay, how many units are you down on the season? Um, well, let's see the nine and I'm probably down about five units because my week one, my big bet on the Ravens did not hit. All right, how about we keep track of how many units up or down? I admit I did just sort of pull that out of my elbow. Yeah, um but I will. I'll get jack on it bad, Larry.

Let's recap how you did it over the weekend. Okay, well, I lost my time. I lost that Thursday. I might stay away from Thursday night game still, and by the way, worked out perfectly for you. The strategy is paying off sort of so far. Well, you cover your beat and you had the Giants blues. Couldn't get any better than that. And I'm usually I just let my bookie keep score for me. So you guys tell me. You guys have statisticians.

I'll trust whatever numbers you go. I got you at two and six last week you had a push and you're down five units. I'm two and six. That's that's what I've got. You just said you trusted your bookies, So okay, I'll trust it. Okay, I've got you six and ten overall, and your teasers are four and three. I got Dylan at nine and eleven overall. Okay, I'll live with those numbers. Okay. Anybody taking action? Yeah, it's it's only two holes. We're playing eighteen. Maybe you may

have to play thirty six to turn a profit. Okay, anybody got any action on tonight's game? La? Are you staying away from Thursday night's game? Um? I don't like tonight's game, but I just felt that I threw the that I sent in a three team PAS Broncos Open Open, and I don't think that's fair for your listeners. So I'm gonna go Broncos Ravens, pants or Panthers and that three team PAS. Guess or I have something to do tonight? Okay? All right? And is that a one unit? That was

It might be getting better for me, but Louisville minus one and a half against Florida State and every non gambler in the world has heard of ball State. How is Toledo given them five? So I'm taking Toledo against ball State minus five. Um, you guys know what I have you at minus three? But um, you know that's I don't know what I mean I did this yesterday. Um, well,

what did you bet it yesterday? I have these written down. I don't I won't bet until game day, Dan, but I'll live with your numbers, Okay, all right, so we'll be generous right now. With Toledo's it's five, it's fine, okay minus five a Dylan, You've got college, Dan, They're just one unit, so okay, one unit on the college Okay, deal, I do Um, I have Georgia. This is kind of a tricky one to Georgia minus thirty five against Vandy. Vandy's a disaster, but thirty five is a lot to lay,

but I'm gonna do it anyways. And then Clemson minus ten against NC State. I feel like Clemson is due for to just destroy someone after the last couple of weeks. So those are my I'm only doing to college because I'm yeah, I'm just going back in dipping my toes now the NFL. Uh, Dylan will start with you. Yeah. So I've got four straight bets. So Seahawks. I'm very bullish on the Seahawks right now. I don't really know why,

but I do. Russell Wilson's I am I'm hoping for food Ruckers, and I do think Russell Wilson, he's I just looked it up. He's plus eight hundred for the m v P right now. He I think he this might be the year again again. Yeah, but I told you last year that he was going to win it. Yes, and he was great for the first half of the season. I'm gonna guess that's probably gonna happen again. But for now, I'll stick with that Seattle minus one and a half

versus the Vikings. Yeah. Um. And then I have Saints money line plus one thirty five over the Patriots, so straight up money line underdog. Um. I like, I'm still Jamis believer even after last week, and I still think like the rookie quarterbacks. I'll take a little bit extra juice with the underdog Saints in that you got the Texans already plus eight against the Panthers and anything else.

My Ravens minus nine against Reliance, I have to you know, after they hooked me up last week, I'm gonna stick with him, even though that's a big line. Ravens minus nine versus lines bad Larry, Okay, we three. I have the over in the Bills Washington game. I think it was forty five. Yeah, I don't remember, actually, but whatever, you guys give me a fine. So over Bills Washington. Dylan, You're not gonna like hearing this, but I'm gonna bet on my Giants this week. I actually like the I

like the Giants minus three over the Falcons. I think that's I would take that too. I mean, I don't know, I don't know with either of those teams, but I'm ben with my heart on that. But I'm taking the Giants. I'm taking the Rams plus one over Tom Brady. I mean Tampa Bay tb here. I wasn't sure what that was. Tampa bag the same thing. And then I got Dallas minus for Monday Night against the Eagles. And then I have the over in the Patriot Saints games because I

think it's forty one and a half. Alright, So my en it those NFL bets there are all two units stand and then don't forget about my three team. T's the three unit one with the Bronkers, Ravens and Panthers. All right, Dylan, you didn't apply any units to your bets here? Are they all the same? Um? Yeah, you can basically consider all these two unit to units college and across the board first, because see, the audience has to know how much you like a game like bad

Larry loved Buffalo against Pittsburgh week one. I actually, I do think I am going to actually bump up one. Bet I will bump up unit wise two four is the Seahawks minus one. And that's my that's my favorite of the week. Yes, and you just understand that if Buffalo not opening week of Buffalo just won the game, not covered, just won the game, I'll still be undefeated in my teasers. I just want to point that out.

I know, but you you're not. No, I know. That's why I stayed away from Buffalo week two when they go down to Miami and put a little thirty five nothing beating on him. But Larry, if Alabama had covered the spread this weekend, I would have won that one too. Yeah. You can't, you can you can't do this, like you know the people talking about I'm not talking about cover and spreads. I'm talking about winning a game you're supposed

to win, not get a fair enough. You still lost the game, Like you can't go a boy, if Buffalo had covered or what just won the game, Well they didn't. You don't get made. I know. But when you say to your bookie, god, if Buffalo had just one out right, and they go, you know what, you're right, here's your money. Yeah, that actually worked in my favor. That same logic worked in my favor with the Ravens and Chiefs, though, because the chief probably should have won that game outright with

that last second fumbles. So I'll take that luck going my way. By the way, if you want to tell us you're gambling story, good or bad, tweet hashtag dp gamble. Tell us the good, the bad, and the ugly. I don't know if people have like bad Layard, do you have a great gambling story like that you benefited from or do you have one that you remember because it was a it was horrible. and we're down. You know, too much money to the bookie. So we bet. And again I'm not going to remember the exact numbers, but we bet Kentucky to beat Duke in a national championship game. And Kentucky, well, I think the Givens guy had like forty on in the game, UM with a Jackie Gibbs, I forget his name, even Jack Gibbons. Jack Gibbons. Right. So Kentucky is being at the the Rathskeller at Biscayne College didn't have a TV.

I went back to the kid's room who I was staying with, and took his TV and brought it down to the rat. I got the TV set up. I'm watching the game. We're going crazy because we're winning. UM to Minski or o'corn or whoever. Tim Duke back then starts bringing the back, bring back. I think we're giving six and a half. Well, with to five seconds left in the game, Um Duke scores and give cups some thing to five. Now we're losers and we put too much. I think I'm going to Cube, but I'm not even

coming home from Biscayne. Well, somebody throat Kentucky throws the ball inbounds with five seconds ago. I think his name was James Lee. James Lee catches the ball. If you look at the video, one force out of bounds at half court. When he catches the ball, they let it go. He goes in for the tom o'haw don't get the buzzer win by seven, and I can come home to the Jersey shore literally standing out of bounds when he caught the ball at half court. So you had a

little bit riding on that one. Uh yeah, three three young kids lives, I would think, But they've grown up to be okay. I mean they've recovered. Yeah, yeah, they have. Yeah, Dill, do you have a great one that you want or long? Um, I actually have a good one from fairly recently. It's actually golf golf bet. I. I took Justin Thomas to win the Players this year, and it was so after Saturday. Have been in college basketball a day. I was up a little bit and then I as the night sort

of rolled in, things got hazier. I ended up dumping it all in Justin Thomas to win the Players, which I found out that morning Sunday morning when I woke up some I went to this restaurant and uh basically watched him go down the line and win it. And then I checked my card statement the next day and had spent every single dollar at the restaurant after having been there. We've been there for about nine hours. bets um this weekend. That'd be nice to get for the for the season. Yeah, oh no, I'm over. You can't any money over is what we want, um, Dan, it's the third hole. I'm probably gonna chip in.
