Episode 13: I Like Complaining

Notre Dame is polarizing that it just feels like people don't want him to succeed and they don't want Notre Dame to succeed without him, And it's an interesting dynamic when it comes to I don't know if there's another program like

Alabama's not polarizing, they're just plarizing because they've been good recently. Yeah, but I don't. I don't think it is not real. I agree with you, Dan, there's a love hate without her Dame and I get an argument with people all the time. I say, look, go to a game out there. We're not gonna talk to you. Don't talk to me until you go to a game out there and then come back and tell me what you think. It is a special place. Yeah, the Irish Pride thing too, and

like there's some other there's layers to that. All right, let's get to the business here recapping. Dylan went seven and four last week, but you're minus six units in that seven and four, very deceiving seven and four. Bad. Larry went six and two and picked up five more units. So your plus twenty. Your goal is to get to plus thirty by the end of the season. That's that's easy. We might have to adjust that again after this week. Okay,

I mean, we you know, if if I could have won, if you want to break it down in days Thanksgiving, anyone who listened to we had a great Thanksgiving, and I'm gonna have a great Christmas because I want three and oh. Then I go three and ol on Saturday and of course the Giants. I don't know. I'm gonna stay with those guys. You keep saying that every week that you're staying away from him, and you don't. I know, because I watched it with

a bunch of friends. So I gotta have action on the game. How about actually on the opposition this time I did. If I bet the Giants they lose, I bet again. Why don't we just bet the under every week? We say this every weekend? I totally agree. I mean last last week it was like the lunar eclipse. The Jets and the Giants both won. Oh, I know, can you imagine them Notre Dame laws? Can you, Bud Rocker? And I look back at this um that first bet I gave you. It was dinner anywhere in the country.

If the Saints win the Super Bowl and you Rockers, can I swap it out for the Saints? Actually, yeah, you can't even win it with the Saints either. Well that's what like. Obviously, my big bet last week was the Seahawks, but five units and then I just like they're one of those teams. I refused to accept that they're not good or that Russell Wilson isn't see this is why you're just the average better and maybe below average better. Is everybody can I everybody can identify with

a guy like you bad Larry Bead. Larry does this for a living. Yeah you I kind of do just but not making a very good Dylan. When you scored the touchdown in the Washington Saints game, do you want to kick the extra point and push because you know they're going for two? I mean, if you go to overtime, you can win overtime. But wouldn't you just a pay point? I mean, they'll never do it for you, But that's what I would have been rooting before if I were you. Oh yeah, I guess they had them plus one. I

with that math, I've already won. Yes, you're a winner. Um And then the other five unit Iowa Michigan under forty three and a half. I'm an under guy. Now I decided I went too and our one unders last week. Everybody was on the under here of the public betting is no, it's on the over. Oh I love that. Oh no, Yeah, I thought maybe somebody was agreeing with you. Eleven percent is agreeing with you. Okay, I like those numbers. College Bowl games are tough, Yeah, but I don't it's

big ted Io like Iowa. It's just Iowa. And I feel like Michigan after lighting up State last week, Like there it's gonna be a grindy defensive game. That's my prediction. Grindy. Both teams allowing just over seventeen points per game. Something has to give something, All right, what else do you have? Um? So, moving down the line to unit bets, I'm taking bailor money line plus one seventy five against Oklahoma State. Oklahoma State coming off the big one against OU Yeah, all right? Uh?

And then I got a couple of one unit bets San Diego State minus six against Utah State, Houston plus ten and afrigains. Since I kind of went back and forth on this one, but it's a big enough number. All there's a lot of people that like the ten and a half with Houston. Yeah, I don't like that, but I'm gonna stick with it that Houston does score points. I will say that they put up what forty four against s m U. But yeah, I'm expecting Cincinnati to win. But I just it seems like it should be a

closer game than anything else. Um And then I'm taking a shot across the bow at bad Larry here Southeast Louisiana plus fifteen versus James Madison. Oh, that's a that's a personal shot, Larry I saw I saw your heavy on James Madison. Okay, and that that's it. I still don't trust the Chiefs to cover a spread, especially almost ten points. Denver six and five against the spread this year. Eddie Bridgewater is the spread covering machine. He is great on the road at covering the spread, believe it or not. Kind of crazy numbers, that's what. Twenty four and five on the road against

I said, if it's three and a half, I want to buy it back down to three. I think that three to three and a half would mean something. It's three. Oh, it's three part I don't have to buy it all. Yeah. I'm taking pumpkins to the dump right now from Thanksgiving, and I'm getting a Christmas card saying he jumped the gun a little bit. I

guess Susan's pretty punctual. But holy macas, she wanted to be. She wanted to be ahead of the game. She wanted to be the first out of the gate. She's number one the first Christmas because you know, after a while there when you get like seven in a day, every day, and there's just like one on the man or one on the refrigerator string. This is when the questions question, yeah, um, do you think Brian Kelly leaving has anything to do with Notre Dame not getting in? It was like if Georgia blows Alabama out and Michigan loses, is that another factor in? Okay, Notre Dame is not in anyway because their coaches gone

well entering at all. If you name a coach, you know, it's not like they don't have a you know, they won't have a coach. They make it seem like the defensive coordinator. I thought, yeah, he's expected to be yeah, yeah, no, no, he would get the job. But I thought, I thought the president came out and said, the guy who gets the interim job is not in our search. Almost he's not getting it. Are they just gonna blow over an interim coach? And I don't think so. That's a story

for another day. But I think it would be hard to keep Notre Dame. I think Notre Dame is even more interesting if they get in and they don't have Brian Kelly, what about it? And and if Michigan losing and the Big Ten doesn't have a representative, I think that makes Notre Dame a little more enticing. Also, Yeah, but we've seen Brian Kelly in the playoffs. It's not like you go, boy, that's an advantage that Brian Kelly.

Notre again gets blown out right because they're invited to a bowl they don't belong in because of the their Notre Dame. Yeah, so you can't sit there and go, man, you can't have Notre Dame in there without Brian Kelly? Well you can? Why not? I mean we've seen what's happened when they had Brian Kelly. How great would that be? Though? If somehow Notre Dame gets in and makes a run and wins the national championship that no, that's not not that that will but how great would it would be?
