Episode description

Donald Trump claims in a stump speech, to humorous effect, that Melania won't allow him to buy bacon anymore because it's gotten too expensive.

Jeff Hurd joins Dan with a final update on his race to replace Lauren Boebert in Colorado's 3rd Congressional District against state GOP-endorsed Ron Hanks and Pueblo Republican Stephen Varela. The primary will be decided Tuesday night, with Ryan providing live coverage on 630 KHOW after Dan's show.

This is Dan Caples and welcome to today's online podcast edition of The Dan Caplis Show. Please be sure to give us a five star rating if you'd be so kind, and to subscribe, download, and listen to the show every single day on your favorite podcast platform. New development. Trump says Biden gonna get quote unquote jacked up, wants a drug test, and oh man, can't wait till Thursday. Glad you're here. We have some very specific questions

for you that you've probably not heard asked anywhere else or even pondered. And we'll start with this one. I'll get to a couple of text responds. A lot going on right here in Denver I want to cover with you as well, including a message that went to a lot of people working downtown reportedly today in downtown Denver. Get your reaction to that. But here's the thing.

I don't think we're going to see this, but if we have one of these moments on Thursday night where Biden freezes up as we've seen recently in public, and Ors starts to the baby talk gibbers yaba daba do gabba gaba kind of stuff, what should President Trump do? Should he press his advantage understanding his mic will be muted at the time, but he's still standing just feet away from Biden, so Biden could hear him, and you know,

the audience would hear something if that happens. Does Trump have an obligation to the American people to stress test Biden in that situation to see if he's capable of serving as president? I think it's clear he's not. But should Trump say something along the lines of, you know, see Jasey, Dana, this is what I'm talking about. It's not personal, no, no offense intended, but this man's not physically and mentally capable of being president. Should

he stress test Biden that way real time? Because when we've seen these other sad moments where Biden's going through this, Biden's been in a protected bubble. I'm not talking about being cruel at all. I'm talking about does Trump have that obligation to the American people? Should he do that? Or we have textures and I imagine this this is probably the majority, like the ninety eight percent majority of you, Dan, Trump wins with compassion first time? Are

you okay? Ensuing times? Should we continue? Jake that from VC? Dan like that? Dan say nothing at all, Say nothing, then it's all about Joe. Trump should say nothing that will give the left something to attack, just let it soak in. That from daw Dan, should Biden start babbling? I believe Trump's effective response would be when they turn his mic on, merely look over at Biden, look back at the camera with the Rye look and pause and say nothing. That from Michael Dan says a text

to Da n five seven seven three nine. What if Biden freezes and Trump's help Biden sit down or get his thoughts straight. Trump could say it's not right to put Biden through the debate, Dan, when he has that moment, state, ladies and gentlemen, this is what the world and our enemies are seeing around the world. Do you not see the embarrassment and danger in this? Dan? Trump simply needs to say. I can't respond to that. I couldn't understand what he said. Mike in Henderson, Dan, no

way should Trump distract away from Biden's blunders. That from Patty Ryan, it appears to be unanimous, and I would agree. I would agree. I think the question needs to be posed because I think you can make a legitimate argument in favor of stress testing in real time. I think that Trump should not do that for two different reasons. One is, you know, politically it's so important that he win. There's too much risk of backfire in that.

And given you know Trump's out their personality in the past, it could look like just cruelty for cruelty's sake. You know, maybe a Reagan could get away with that or somebody like that. But no, I am firmly

with our texters and I agree that that should be the approach. If that happens again, I don't think it's going to happen because historically they've been able to get Biden much better expected on occasion they're gonna jack them in and they've rested him up for seventy Ay, I would bet there's some I'm not suggesting anything illegal or improper, but I would bet there's some kind of medicinal involvement here, vitamin B twelve at or all, I mean, all legal compounds.

But yeah, they're gonna he's his pupils will be dilated. I would bet money on that. I think you might be able to get a Vegas prop bet on that. But I think overall the theme of the night, if I'm sitting down with DJT and trying to advise him less is more. He doesn't really have to do anything. Biden needs to lose this debate. I don't think it's incumbent upon Trump to win it, to have to go

aggressive, to play a lot of offense. He's got a record. Just defer to that point at Joe Biden, compare the four years were you better off under me or under him? That's it. And then if he happens to stumble and bumble, which I still think he will, just contrast that with your own vision and clear speaking and say, yeah, and you made this point very well, Dan, like this is what the rest of the world's looking at and why we are weak. Yeah, and make that point.

Yeah. And I think what's important to keep in mind is that Biden is irrelevant to Thursday Night. Unless he is one of those very sad total freeze ups, then it's all about Biden because he's just done sooner than he otherwise would be. But other than that, he's irrelevant. He's a stage prop on Thursday Night. This is about people sizing up whether Trump still has it, whether Trump's still sharp enough, whether Trump has self control. This

is about people sizing up Trump, because everybody knows they lived it. They don't need commercials to tell him. They know the nation was better under Trump, Their life was better under Trump. They know that already. So Thursday Night is all about sizing up Trump. So true. And a further point along those lines, Dan, who is Donald Trump speaking to him in this debate? It's not his base, and it's not the far left that hates

him. It's that narrow middle, that sliver. Maybe they were Trump voters in twenty sixteen, they voted for Biden and twenty they have Biden remorse, or those center left people who are absolutely sick of Biden and the far left agenda, and they want to give Trump a chance. But he's got to give them a reason. And the reason would be I feel okay with Donald Trump in charge. He's not a maniac, he's not a wild man. I feel safe and secure, and I would like that back. He's got

to make that case. Wait, we all know who he's talking to Thursday night, which is why this is the election, Because he's talking to a bunch of people who don't like him, want to vote for him anyway out of self interest, but they need to make sure he isn't nuts. Correct. That's what Thursday Night is all about, talking to the people who are trying to figure out if you're nuts. Now. I know he's not nuts. You know he's not nuts, But we pay attention to this stuff all

the time. Do you got a lot of really good people out there with really busy lives who hate this stuff and they hate the negativity, they hate the toxicity. They don't want to hear it, they don't want to be bothered by it. But they're gonna watch Thursday Night to see if he's nuts, and if he's not nuts, they're going to vote for him whether they hate him or not. If he can rise above. I think he's got this in him too, Dan. This has been my frustration with Trump.

He can be a uniter, he can make people feel like we're coming together. He's got to give that unifying message that he's on your side. And by you, I mean the person that's watching that's having those doubts that you're talking about that they feel, you know what, this guy. I might not like him a lot, but he's on my side. He's gonna fight for me. But here's the here's the only real challenge Thursday Night. Right,

Trump is human. He is human, and sometimes he shows this superhuman strength, but he's human, and he's going to be standing across the stage from a jealous little man who has tried to put him in jail and is still trying to put him in jail. And unless you're the good Lord himself, that's it's going to be very hard in that moment not to take some shots. It's true. So that's that's gonna be the biggest test. Trump has all that, the substance on his side. Right, every he had

the presidency, it was great. Biden'said the presidency, it's terrible. Trump has a substance. This is about self control and do what he has to do to show the doubters that he's not nuts. Justin and Lyttleton, you're on the Dan Caplis Show. Welcome Adam. People kind of annoy me recently. They always take the personalities in the play. I know you have to politics as an individual game. You want for a person, not a philosophy.

But we need to make it about the policies, shows interchangeable you yourself. I disagree with this. Have predicted that he'll drop out, right, I said, he won't be the nominee. Well, what it could happen different ways? Seventy five percent chance he will be. In my opinion, nobody can predict the future, and even thefarious means tomahawk. I was thinking, cif well, whatever happens, we have to make it about his policies, right If how you do that? If you want to take a classroom

clinical approach, you'll put it. Everybody's asleep. If you want to say, hey, were you better off when I was president? Or well he's president? Gets interesting, Well you have to say he's president, his ideas failed. Why does everything cost thirty percent more? Why are we in foreign policy quagmire that we are? Why are we having the worst races of the southern border. It's Joe Biden and Joe Biden's party. You have to go with the whole thing. You can't just isolate it to him, because then

what are we doing twenty twenty eight. Yeah, you go after an individual, or we go after a philosophy. It's got to be the philosophy. Justin appreciates the very intelligent call, thank you. The other point that needs to be made and again short to the point, that's where you get your power is vote for me is a vote for peace. A vote for him is a vote for war. My term piece, his term war. Drop the mic. You're on the Dan Campla Show and now back to the Dan

Taplas Show podcast. Trump speaks a lot of truth. Sure, this is the part of that. Even I won't buy bacon anymore, it's too expensive. I said, I'd love to have some lovely bacon, Darling, and she said, no, I'm sorry to expense them. So I think that may have been artistic license right there. Right. But Trump, which which is as we're talking more about Thursday night, which is another big question.

Listen, the man is an entertainer. A huge part of his success has been entertaining, and clearly he has rejected the advice well intentioned, but the advice that he just prepare in a more traditional way for this debate. You know, he's out there, he's at rallies, he's among the people, and and hey, that's what works for him. That's beautiful. And again to see these crowds and everything else could really matter on election night in Pennsylvania,

his time in Philly, but that's how he gets energized. Ryan, I don't think it would be only possible. And I'm not suggesting that that you would want to take the entertainer out of Trump for Thursday Night. I have one anecdote he could share which would be accurate as opposed to the Bacon story. We know that despite his expensive lifestyle, he loves Big Max at McDonald's. And what do you could do? You know, I love Big

Max. Okay, maybe a little too much, but and compare the price of what they went two dollars and seventy five cents when I took off us and now they're five dollars and seventy nine cents, you know, something like that, and some of his best humor spontaneous for all of us that carry some risk. Hey, I want to get to another really important dynamic four Thursday night. Okay, and and you know, go out on a limb

here, great peril to myself. But I want to predict right now, five twenty three thirty three on Monday the twenty fourth, that what we're going to be talking about on Friday, gonna hear so many people calling the show, texting and saying, hey Dan, boy, I thought Jake Tapper and Dana Bash were really fair. Hey Dan, I was surprised at olfair Tapper and Bash were I think we're going to hear a lot of that on Friday. I'll tell you in a second why this plays into it here, and

listen. I understand they're Trump haters, right, They've made that clear in a thousand different ways. We've been playing that sound today. They're both Trump haters, they both want him defeated. But I still think they're going to end up being much more fair than people expect. But let's start with this sound. This is Cassie Hunt on CNN, and her politics are opposite mine, but she normally does a pretty fine job as anchor given that, but

she really hurt herself and the network with this. As Trump's press secretary is trying to say, you know, Tapper and Bash are really biased against Donald Trump, which seems a relevant observation on the eve of the debate. She cuts her off and ends the segment. It's like journalism malpractice. So he's basically saying, there, well, will I let Joe Biden win? It does seem as though many Republicans have set the bar very low in terms of

arguing that Joe Biden is basically a senile. Now you have people like Doug Bergham coming out and saying, well, President Biden's very accomplished, trying to set expectations in a different place. What do you expect from Joe Biden. Well, first of all, it's so it takes someone five minutes to google Jake Tapper Donald Trump to see the Jake Tapper head, ma'am, can interview

ifeade filter, ma'am. I'm going to stop. If you're statium to attack my colleagues, I would like to talk about you and Donald Trump, who you work for, if you are here to speak on his behalf and I will have this conversation. I am stating facts that your colleagues have stated in the past. Now I'm sorry. We're going to come back to Caroline. Thank you very much for your time. You are welcome to come back at

any point. She is welcome to come back and speak Sean Trump, and that's what you want whole time to Joe Biden when they both join us now at next early later this week in Atlanta. For this Lord, thanks to Caroline. That's one of the worst things I've ever seen in broadcasting, let alone journalist. And that's the opposite of anything anybody could call journalism and to come from Cassie Hunt too again is a lefty but normally has a much more

professional effect. But think about what that just confirms for the world, for those who rightfully sit there and say, wait a second, the moderators are two people who hate Trump and want them to lose. She just confirmed that Trump's press secretary couldn't even raise fair concerns about the moderators. They censored her and ended the segment. Ryan, My point is everybody can agree that's horrible,

right, That's not my point. My point is that this is one more reason to be certain that Tapper and Bash are going to be much more fair than expected. Because they know they're on record as Trump haters, they know this just happened. They're going to feel for their own selfish interest as if they have to bend over backwards to show that they're being fair. But here's what to watch for. Not so much their questions, because the initial

question is totally meaningless, completely irrelevant. You could ask Biden ten of the toughest questions imaginable, and there are a thousand, and it wouldn't matter at all, because if you just let him avoid the question, the question doesn't matter. The key is in the follow up questions. And this you can take to the bank right now and you can deposit it at Wells Fargo. And that is they are going to ask Trump the tough follow up questions as

they should. Will they ask Biden the tough follow up questions as they should? That's where the real test is. It's in the follow ups. Here's the key. You have heard this nowhere before other than from me, and that is the reason. You can be very confident that Tapper and Bash will be much more balanced. They won't be perfect, right, they hate Trump, but much more balanced than expected. Is this the secret sauce? They want to drive Biden out of the race? CNN wants to drive Biden out

of the race. The Left wants to drive Biden out of the race. This is the lowest hanging fruit in the history of fruit for Tapper and Bash their own self interest. Be harder on Biden than expected, be more balanced than expected. It's a win win for them because then they look like journalist and the Left loves them because they're helping to drive Biden out. They know

Biden is a loser, they know they need him out. Sooner than later that they cannot afford a scenario where Biden has his final freeze up after the convention. So it's it's t ball for Bash and Tapper. All they have to do is be balanced. Here. Everything you say makes perfect logical sense, which is why it won't a left brain. But I'm telling you, Dan, I don't know that these two are going to be able to help

themselves. I think they're going to give into this impulse to this right brain emotional Trump derangement syndrome, hatred of the Orange Man, and it might show through and what you're talking about, that lack of a follow up with Biden. They'll they'll ask the tough question. Okay, we got that covered, and then they'll go in a Trump. One other point about Casey Hunt from CNN. Her ex Twitter background is a photo of her having done an interview

with Joe Biden shaking his hand and he's smiling. That's her background. Everybody knows the bias, right and listen, you're right. We're all human and you can never take the human element out. And so yeah, we talked earlier about the fact that Trump's going to be feed away from a guy on stage who's trying to force Trump to end his life in jail. I mean,

how do you completely take the human element out of that? Biden abusing the criminal justice system to try to put Trump in jail while Biden skates on all of this obvious garbage. So yeah, you can't take the human element out. And you're right, Tapper and Bash hate them, and so that will in some way shape or form shelter. I'm just saying it's going to be much more balanced than expected. But watch for the follow up questions and how rigorous are they on the follow ups with Biden? That will be the

true test. Hey, when we come back, I do want to talk as well about these local races in Colorado and tomorrow primary day, who's going to win and why you're on the Dan Caplis Show. You're listening to the Dan Kapliss Show podcast Do Better. Denver tweeted this out says this is a message and employee just got downtown. Others are getting similar. What's really going on? And the message says active shooter in downtown Denver. Police are responding

to shots fired near eighteenth and Curtis. If you are outside, you are advised to run, leave your belongings. Encourage others to leave the unsafe area. If you are away from this location, stay away. Hide If you can't escape, hide, block entry with your heavy furniture, lock doors, and silence your devices. Act if you believe your life is in imminent danger.

Use any means necessary to defend yourself. When in a safe location, contact emergency services, move away from windows, and it goes on from there. You know what I'd love to see. I'd love to see a law that says, in all of these situations there need to be talk, screens done, and that information needs to be published. Now. I don't know what actually happened here, what the underlying threat was, but in how many of these do you think that maybe Krakowana was an issue. Let's go to

a Jeff Hurt. Jeff's running for Congress down in CD three. It's currently Congressman Bobert's district. As you know, she's now running in four and Jeff's in a hotly contested primary. Jeff, Welcome back to the Dan Kapla Show. Hey Dan, it's great to be back with you. Well, thank you, my friend, by my mask for less than twenty six hours left. Right, we're at the finish line for sure. Holy cow. Yeah, And so what's it looking like. Do you think it's going to be

close? And what are you asking people to do? Thanks? Dan, I'd say I'm feeling consciously optimistic. I feel like we've done everything we can do. We've reached every corner of the district with our ads, We've knocked a ton of doors, made countless calls. I've actually had four of my five kids dialing to get out the vote as part of the team. What's wrong with the f It's a newborn, right, he's two years old. So yeah, we're going to do that. Well converted, Yeah, that's

right. Well, you know he's able to get some words out, but he's got a ways to go before he's going to persuade some voters. So it's all hands on deck, not taking anything for granted, working hard. And I guess the message would be, Dan, if you're vote in CD three and you want to hold a seat and it matters to you that is held by Republican vote Jefford, Well, it should matter to everybody that Congress is held by Republicans, right, and it could come down to this seat.

Absolutely, Yeah, this is one of the targeted seventeen Democratic congressional campaign seats. They're red the Blue project. This is a hotly contestant seat and we've got a Democrat on the the other end of the primary who's got a ton of money, and so we need to feel the best candidate that we can. I don't think there's any doubt about that. What does Frish have now, he's got to be thirteen to fourteen million. Yeah, I think it's going to be even higher than that. I think he's raised more than

fifty million. He's got money than any Democratic House candidate in the United States of America other than Hakim Jeffries, the minority leader. Well, beautiful member, and that's why this will be a top top seat for them, and we got to hold them off. Well, just remember New Coke and Jeb Bush, right, I mean New Coke. Didn't they spend one hundred million on that campaign and I haven't seen anybody drinking New Coke? And Jeb Bush

is not president and he had one hundred and fifty million. So, Jeff Hurd, for those who are not familiar with you, I know your very impressive story, but please tell those who have not heard it. Sure, so I am Claudor natives who grew up here on the Western Slope and raising my family here, are working authentic, not a career politician, sent my career working to keep energy costs low for rural America. And I know the

issues that rural Colorado's facing. We feel like we're being left behind. We're losing jobs and opportunities, and people see we need a different directions, and voters are creating a serious and credible Republican choice to represent them. And I'm that guy. I'm a problem solving conservative, not afraid to take on tough challenges and make life better for families and small businesses and communities in southern and

western Colorado. Yeah. And I know you've had some people I really respect say that they're going to support you any of those names you want to throw out and listen, I don't think endorsements mean that much in races anymore. I just know there are some folks I think a lot of who think a lot of you we have not met personally. Yeah, Dan, listen, I say the only endorsement that ultimately matters is the one I'm working hard to

get tomorrow on election day. That is true. I've been I'm happy to say that I've got to support from a broad coalition of Republicans all across the political spectrum. I've got everyone from Scott Gessler, former Secretary of State here who's endorsement, to Bill Owens to Hank Around to former Interior Secretary Gale Morton, to a bunch of county commissioners currently serving in this district. And so

that's broad based. The support, I think is one of the things that also makes me a really formidable candidate and the best individual to represent real Colorado. Boy. I don't think there's any doubt that you would beat Adam Frish. But Jeff, hey, appreciate the time. What's that website for those who want to check you out at the last minute? Website? Dan is Jeff Heard for Colorado dot Com. That's j E F F h U R D F O R Colorado dot com. All right, man, Well,

Hey, appreciate you spending the time and good luck. Thanks so much, Dan. We'll talk to you soon. Thank you. That is Jeff Heard. Got to tell you, I have a lot of respect for people who get into that meat grinder. Have you ever run for office been in one of those political type deals? Even like student government or polastic election. I won, Dan was a twofold election for NHS president and for senior class president in my high school. I'll tell you what high school class for. Anybody

who gets in the arena, you know that you're taking some risk. That stuff is tough. And have we have some text on all of that too. Let me get to some of those. Yeah, you know it's gone so fast. Primary dat tomorrow, just real quick. On this race Stan with Jeff Heard, he's facing not only the state GOP endorsed Ron Hanks, who's airing a lot of radio commercials, including on this station and this show. Stephen Varrella, who I know you and I are both very impressed with

down in Peblo himself. He's a converted like you, Democrat to Republican. I think he's got a great story to tell. But Hurd has been the target of a lot of dark money ads coming in, one of which featured the state GOP clipping and Adam Frisch ad against herd and then taking out the Adam Frish part. So basically using Democrat propaganda and talking points against Jeff Heard unheard, unintended. Yeah, and more broadly, this whole thing about Democrats

dishonestly getting involved in GOP primaries. Listen, I'm just all about honesty. If you want to get into the primary and say, hey, we're a bunch of Democrats and we really think that this guy or gil should be your nominee, that's fine. I have no beef with that. But to pretend you're something else, right, to pretend you're doing something else when you're really trying to get the who you view as the weakest Republican nominated, it's just

so fundamentally dishonested. And it's funny because they're doing the exact same stuff that they were doing for Ron Hanks in the Senate race against Joe Day. This whole notion of Ron Hanks is too conservative for Colorado. And who do they think that's going to appeal to. It's a real cheap, cynical play, and I don't think many people are going to fall for it. Hopefully none. Yeah, I'm trying to remember where that has worked and not worked.

I can't remember it working in Colorado. No, but some tech coming in on this, and then after this break, I want to get into a story out of Denver where they're trying to reduce the deaths on two major streets, and I think I think they're missing the big point, good goal, right because Denver streets and Colorado as a whole right now is just a killing field. You know, way way way too much. Want would be too

many, but way too much death on the roadways. But the solution, I think is one the left is not willing to take on, which is one reason the left has to go a couple of texts, Dan, I got to disagree. Bash and Taper are blinded by their hate for Trump. They will do anything they can to make sure he loses Mike in Henderson.

Yeah, but keep in mind Mike. One of the ways they know they have to One of the things they know they have to do to have any chance to defeat Trump is run Biden out of the race, because can you imagine Biden by election day? He's not functional now. No matter what happens, if he has a good night Thursday night, America is not going to forget everything they've already seen and he's just going to get worse. Dan, wild media cover up and tap dance for Biden. Would you ever think they'll

not be completely biased? Blank holes? I completely disagree. This will be anything but the same old thing from CNN. Gary. I wish we could bet a tomahawk because I never get tired of tomahawks. I'm gonna win one from Ryan, I'm gonna win run from Kelly, and then I'm going to go to dinner that night. I'm gonna eat to tomahawks at long tomahawks at lunch. Dan Cassie hunts banner picture and X has her shaking hands with Biden, way to show on bias. She is Alexa, thank you Alexi.

Yeah, but again, that's why they're going to bend over backwards. That and the fact that they want Biden out of the race so they can beat Trump. We've got a lot more great texts when we come back. What Denver and all of Colorado really need to do to have fewer desks on the roadway. But the left isn't willing to go there. They just don't value your life enough. You're on the Dan Capla Show and now back to the Dan Kaplass Show podcast. The only thing that could make it better bacon.

Even I won't buy bacon anymore, it's too expensive. I said, I'd love to have some lovely bacon darling, and she said, no, I'm sorry to expense, so I would leave that one home Thursday night, right, that doesn't have Trump is known for his authenticity, brutal honesty. That one doesn't ring too authentic to me. Big Max, though he's all about the Big Max. Do you think he's a bacont guy. He's not a bacon guy. His one vice, Dan, is his diet is not great.

He's never drunk, he's never smoked, he's never done drugs. He's in pretty good shape for being seventy eight years old, but his diet's not great. And again, you know, Thursday night'll be very serious and all that good stuff. But Trump is an entertainer. It's been part of his magic, and I expect we'll see some of that flash on Thursday night as well. Dan, why not shoot for three tomahawks? You know I've been

egging you on for a while. Now. We can get a big table with you at the head while we rub it in, Kimberly, as long as I'm not at the head of the table, and the only thing getting rubbed in will be some nice little maybe salt and pepper to the three tomahawks. Strikes that I'm gonna watch shrooms, Dan. Yes, yes, yes, Dad, I'll bet a tomawk with the side of King crab Lake except for Mike. Boy. That sounds like a great appetizer A lot on the line to me. Yes, and all of these tomawks, right, I'm

winning all of these because Biden's not going to be their nominee. This is like stealing. I feel guilty over this, but says a text or Dan, crazy idea. But if I was Sourus, I would make it so Joe has to appear to have a medical emergency right before or during the debate if they want Joe out. This allows Joe to exit gracefully. They could even say he's physically okay enough to finish his term. I think the texture

is misperceiving what's happening. Biden wanted this. Biden wanted this because he knows he's not going to be around for debates in the fall. He wants this one last time on stage with Trump. He wants to spew venom. So that's where this is coming from. And my humble opinion, Dan, we know that Biden has a copy of the questions and has been preparing his canned answers. I don't think CNN could get away with it having been busted on

that at least once. Let me get to this quick story. I'll follow up and it's some more tomorrow, but I know you know it's true and want to get it out there because hey, you might be in traffic right now. If not, you're going to be in traffic sometime soon. The greatest danger what you care about in life, your kids, your spouse, you third will ever be in unless you serve in our police or military is driving around Colorado and there's this big headline. Denver takes aim at traffic dess

on two major streets, hoping to slow down speeding drivers. And we'll get into it some more tomorrow because it matters so much to you and to me. But the gist of this story is Diamond, Mike Johnston, Yap and yeap and and y appen about how they're going to have some more speed enforcement by radar cameras, and they're gonna have some more design stuff and this and that. Listen, all of these yapping politicians understand something. The carnage on

Colorado's roads. You're always gonna have a certain amount, but that doesn't mean we should accept it. We should be working like mad men and mad women every single day of our lives to reduce the number of traffic deaths. It costs so much grievous pain and upset so many lives and even generationally in Colorado. But here's the thing. The left doesn't care about that. Right. If the left cares about it, they wouldn't do what they're doing. Now.

You want to talk about these increasing traffic deaths in Colorado, It is not hard to figure out. And it goes right back to the feet of the left. What do you have going on? Go back and trace it. You have legalization in marijuana. What the haities do you expect is going to happen? You legalize marijuana and then you legalize this high potency stuff. He's like, Oh, we're not going to have more deaths on the roadway. Of course, you know you are. You know on the left that

you're going to have more death and more destruction on the roadway. You know that's going to happen. And it has the other thing the left's done, and I know it. Listen, I do catastrophic injury work. I represent victims I see in my practice all the time. I have a whole bunch of cases where the defendant, after doing something reckless and wreaking all this havoc and carnage, isn't even charged with being under the influence of marijuana, and

we're able to prove during our civil case that they were so. And I'm not criticizing law enforcement. They are way underfunded and understaffed. But that's the other thing. The left is not willing to back the blue. The left is not willing to back the blue A with adequate resources and man and woman power and staffing, and b that the left won't back the blue in terms of hey, I got your back. If you're out there, you got the right intention, doing the job the best you can. I got your

back. Instead, the left is not only cutting back the resources, but ready to throw Blue under the bus and in jail anytime it's convenient for the left. So you cannot be expecting officers to be as forward leaning when the left is under cutting them all the time. So you get a lot less enforcement. So combine Krakawana legalized Krakawana with a lot less enforcement because the left's undermining cops. And what do you think is going to happen. You're going

to get all these deaths. And then the left prance is around pretending to care so much, well, not enough to protect you. That's what's really going on. And then you add a third layer, Ryn, and I'm going to be getting into this more tomorrow. You add a third layer, which is what the left has done. What the Left has done to not only weaken our defenses against reckless truckers who wreak all this havoc and carnage across

Colorado, but actually actually embolden those truckers. And listen, there are a lot of heroic trucks, the heroic truckers. They are American heroes, and they're the reason, in part, we get to enjoy our lifestyles. But there's another part to that industry, a really awful underbelly that makes the roads of Colorado extraordinarily dangerous. And you see it all the time, and the

Left is just doing their bidding. When your polo steps up there, Oh yeah, yeah, Okay, you decided to drive your truck into traffic. You burned all these people alive. No, I'm going to cut your sentence down one year for each person you torched. Right now, we've got to start protecting ourselves in Colorado, and I know how Ryan. Great job, Thank you, Kelly. Join us tomorrow.
