Ned. Today's tip is one that I used in high school, I used in college, and I recently rediscovered it as an adult as a way to supercharge my learning, and I'm excited for you to share it with the Tippendales. What is the tip of the day? Today's tip is simple. If you need to memorize something, write it down with your hands. Don't type it. Don't even like.

Speaking it out loud is fine, but handwriting it will lock it into your brain 'cause it slows you down enough that it will take the time needed to get it locked in. If you're speaking, you sometimes speak too fast, you gloss over the words, you don't memorize. Having to write every letter individually lets you memorize something quick, easy and fast. As an actor, I literally do this all the time.

When I'm learning audition sides and monologues and things like that, it is an invaluable tool if you need to memorize. I recently became a tour guide of New York City, and what I do every time before I lead a tour is write down everything that I want to say, everything that I wanna have. Word for word, and for some reason it just etches on my brain that way. So yes, big fan of this tip. And with that, we will catch you tomorrow for another tip that may or may not help you with Arielle and Ned.
