However, in the U.S., the 20-year experience has delivered just the opposite effect. Also today, in type 2 diabetes, healthy lifestyle lowers CVD risk and mortality, antipsychotics linked to increased body fat and insulin resistance in children, and maternal use of pot and tobacco may boost birth defect risk.
