Hi everyone, welcome back to the Daily Gospel Exegesis podcast. I hope you're enjoying this approach to studying Scripture where we look at the literal sense of the text from a faithful Catholic academic perspective. This is just a quick announcement to let you know that there is a new product available from the Logical Bible Study Ministry. So we now have a complete commentary on the Gospel of John available.
So it's a complete verse by verse chronological study of the Gospel of John right through from chapter 1 all the way to the end of chapter 21. Verse by verse, it's a comprehensive study of the Gospel of John. We go through slowly and carefully, just like you hear in the Daily Gospel Exegesis podcast, so it's another one of our audio commentaries. Many of you would be aware that we already have this product available for the Gospel of Mark, and now the Gospel of John is also available.
You might find this chronological study of John particularly helpful because in the lectionary, the Gospel of John is sort of all over the place and you don't often get to hear how the Gospel of John fits together chronologically, but this package gives you exactly that. So this audio commentary package includes all the regular episodes from the Daily Gospel Exegesis podcast about the Gospel of John ordered chronologically.
And it also includes all of the bonus episodes, which some of you may have seen through the Patreon page for the ministry. So it includes all of the parts of the Gospel of John that are covered in the lectionary, as well as the parts of the Gospel of John that are not covered in the lectionary. So it's a comprehensive commentary. It also includes one new thing that you may not have heard before, even if you have supported the ministry
previously. So this Gospel of John commentary includes references to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, but it also includes references to other key authoritative church documents. So for every single part of the Gospel of John, I've included links to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, as well as reading out some other key documents from church history where the church has used parts of the Gospel of John as part of its magisterium and as part of
its teaching. And you can also get PDF notes with every single part of the Gospel of John showing you the full text of these parts of the Catechism and other church documents. So it will be really useful for those of you who are interested in doing an extended Bible study. It is quite a long product. It's about 38 hours long going through the entire Gospel of John, but it's broken down into short sections now.
The product is hosted on the website called Sound Wise, and there's a link to the product in the description for this episode, so you can take a look at it there. It is a paid product, but once you have purchased the product, you have access to the audio files forever. So the comprehensive audio commentary, verse by verse for the Gospel of John is now available. It's taken quite a while to put together, but hopefully you enjoy it and benefit from it as part of your own Bible study.
So there's a link for the commentary in the episode description. Please spread the word about this product. You might even like to give it as a gift to someone. And there will be more commentaries from Logical Bible Study coming out in the coming months. So please keep an ear out for more announcements. You'll hear this same audio message a few times over the next couple of weeks to get the word out that this product is now available.
One last reminder, the Logical Bible Study ministry does produce one more podcast, which is called the Voice of the Magisterium Podcast, which is where we give you audio versions of church documents. So we look at papal encyclicals, other writings from the recent popes since the time of Vatican 2, and other authoritative church documents from other de
castries within the church. So if you've ever wanted to hear audio versions of church documents, you've probably heard the names of many church documents, but you haven't had a chance to sit down and read them. This podcast, The Voice of the Magisterium, is giving you a selection of church documents to hear an audio form. And we're releasing new episodes every week so that we as Catholics can get to know the church is teaching better.
That Voice of the Magisterium podcast is entirely free, and you can find it through all of the usual podcast platforms. In addition, there is an exclusive podcast available to Patreon supporters called The Magisterium Update, which is also giving you church documents in audio form. But it's giving you the latest church documents as soon as
they're released. And as we're coming into a time of transition for the church, where we're going to have a new Pope who's probably going to release quite a few new documents in the early years, it might interest you to hear those church documents in audio form as soon as they are made available to the public. And that's what this podcast is
giving you. So if you're interested in the Magisterium update, exclusive podcast, or anything else that the Logical Bible Study Ministry is working on, you might like to check out the Patreon page and the link for that is in the show notes. Thanks. And we'll see you next time.
