Hello and welcome to Daily English, Today’s story is about one man who brought his entire village to life with just a few buckets of paint.

What Happened? In Malaysia, there was a small fishing village that looked tired and forgotten. The houses were faded, the streets quiet, and many young people had moved away.

But one man, Chuah, believed his home could be beautiful again. Without waiting for permission or payment, he bought buckets of bright paint and began working. He painted his own house in vivid blues, yellows, and reds. Then he moved on to his neighbors’ homes — with their blessing — covering the village in color. It took months, but the change was incredible. The once dull village now shines like a rainbow by the sea. Tourists began visiting, bringing business and energy back to the area. Chuah didn’t just paint walls — he brought the whole village to life.
