Reflecting On Our "On The Table" Experiences Discussing Detroit

I know that a discussion about a discussion can be kind of meta, but the Community Foundation of Southeast Michigan put together a very interesting series of conversations across the region about youth.

"On The Table" is a project bringing 400 conversations together, over meals, across the seven county Detroit area. 

We attended three of them. Shianne at Noble Elementary/Middle, Jer at Bamboo Detroit, and Sven at the Detroit Boxing Gym.

So we initially were going to do a short roundup with some of the Daily team - Jer, Shianne and Sven - but it turned into a half-hour wide-ranging discussion of issues facing the city and youth, and some of the real challenges that are out there.
