Matthew

A few things to note:

Genesis 20: Abraham once again has a strange idea to tell everyone that his wife Sarah is his sister. Once again it almost gets Sarah, Abraham, and an entire family.

Genesis 21: It a Boy! The promised child of Abraham and Sarah arrives and is called Isaac. As a result Sarah see's Hagar's son making fun of Isaac and has Abraham send her away. But, God visits Hagar and saves her son by providing water. Abraham also speaks with Abimelech about the well of his fathers.

Genesis 22: You are in for an exciting ride here! God tells Abraham to offer his son to Him as a sacrifice. Abraham in faith follows God's command and is about to offer Isaac on the altar and God stops him and provides a ram in a thicket. Then, God reminds and confirms the covenant between Abraham and Himself.

Matthew 6: Jesus' "Sermon on the Mount" continues and He teaches us to pray. "The Lord's Prayer" or more correctly the "Model Prayer" is in verses 8-13, but those verses before are so important, we are taught not to "use... vain repetitions". Many other warnings are given in the chapter and a wonderful promise in verse 30 for us of little faith.
