A few things to note:

The writer of Hebrews writes "Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen". As you read your Bible, read in faith. As read the unbelievable, believe. As you read of things that were not seen by men's eyes, believe. You will be hard pressed to read of creation, the flood, God's judgement on Sodom and Gomorrah, and the birth of Christ and truly believe without faith.

Genesis 1:1

There was nothing, yet God made everything! Furthermore, there was nothing, yet God existed. Believe it!

Genesis 1:26

The Trinity gathered to make man. It was not mere chance, it was not an explosion, there was no need for evolution... "God created man in his own image...". Believe it!

Genesis 2:21

God created woman. This time it was different, the details are listed, but interesting to me is that God chose a bone from Adam's side. He could have chosen any bone, but the rib bone was from his side, where the woman belongs in a man's life. Not under foot, not behind in shame, not even ahead of him, beside him. Men and women were created differently, but for the use of each other, and to be a "help meet".

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention this, God only created Man, and Woman. God also ordained only one joining of flesh, that of man and woman.

Matthew 1

By all means, do not skip over the genealogies in the Bible, they may seem dull, and borning, but they are there for a reason. Here we find that Christ's ancestry on Joseph's side goes all the way back to Abraham. In this list are notable names, I would encourage you to do your homework here.

Another note is that in verse 21, the angel tells that Mary will bring forth a son, but also that Joseph will be the one to name Him. "Thou shalt call his name JESUS..."
