Type 1 diabetes: a condition that impacts all ages

Together they delve into the prevalence of type 1 diabetes and its growing impact across the globe. Type 1 diabetes is a condition that almost 9 million of us live with worldwide. Although it has traditionally been thought of as a condition that primarily affects children, new figures show that three in five new cases in 2022 were in people aged 20 and older. So, what's the story behind the statistics, and what do we really know about the evolution of type 1 diabetes across the globe?
