It said that the saviour of the American civilisation now depended on the media organisations:
“that report fact without regard for partisanship, and citizens who think for themselves, will need to light the way.”
If the impartial observer of that pious editorial realised that 91% of the readers of the New York Times identified as Democrats, would they believe what was said about saving democracy?
