1. Implement the patch or mitigation.

2. Contact your cyber insurer and or a breach coach (especially if you do not have cyber insurance).

3. Utilizing your cyber insurer or breach coach, start a forensic investigation to determine the scope and extent of the impact to your organization, and potential notification obligations.
