Perfect, Okay, here we go. So we're going to be doing Luke chapter ten. Let's go ahead and turn it real quick. Perfect, There we go. So Luke ten is where we're at. Let me get to here. There we go. Okay, so we're going to start at Luke ten. One the seventy sent out after

these things. The Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before his face unto every city in place where he himself was about to go. Then he said to them, the harvest truly is great, but the labor are few. Therefore, pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers. Into his harvest, go your way. Behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves. Okay, so what do we need to gather there? Okay, so I send you out as lambs among wolves. Now you probably

would that's not very like. That might not motivate people, right, But he's just letting him know because Jesus is the way, the truth to life. So he's just telling him the truth. You know, he is sending them out as lambs among wolves. Of course, you know he wants them to be the lambs, because what do you do. The way that you attract people to the faith is by being the lamb, not the wolf. Right, you don't want to be the wolf attacking, slandering, cussing, yelling.

You don't want to be that wolf. You want to be the lamb, which is where you know you would be. Sorry. You might hear my kids in the background. They're actually transferring room from my room to their room. I apologize. I'll give them one second. Looks like they went over there. Okay, perfect,

all right? So yeah, so the way that I interpret that is, you know, the way you attract people to the faith is by by sending you know, you know, honey, attracts way more than salt and vinegar, right, So honey is better. So, you know, being a lamb is you know you're gonna be a good person and you're gonna be good and that, but there's gonna be wolves around you, so you do need to be careful, you know. So he's just letting him know that.

So, uh, Carrie, carry neither money bag knapsacked, nor sandals, and greet no one along the road.

Speaker 1

But whatever house you enter, first, say peace to this house, And if a son of peace is there, your peace will rest on it. If not, it will return to you. And remain in the same house, eating and drinking such thing as they give, for the labor is worthy of his wages. Do not go from house to house. Whatever city you enter and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you, and heal the sick there, and say to them, the Kingdom of God is come

near to you. But whatever city you enter and they do not receive you, go out into the streets and say, the very dust of your city, which clings to us, we wipe off against you. Nevertheless this that the Kingdom of God has come near you. But I say to you that it will be more tolerable on that day for Sodom than for that city. So wow. So Jesus appoints seventy two others and sends them two by two, right, and then he's emphasizing the importance of partnership in the ministry.

The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. This highlights the urgency and need for the labors in God's kingdom. Jesus this instructs them to rely on God's provision and to bring peace to the households they enter, demonstrating trust and faith in God's care. So that's why he doesn't want them to carry the money bag, the knapsack, nor sandals, and he wants them to literally like rely on the Lord. Right.

So this is going to teach them faith, right, and that's what we need that sometimes you know, what can our what kind of faith do we have if it can't be tested? You know, this is a way to to build these these disciples up right. And then also it says, but whatever house you enter, first, say peace to this house, and if a center piece is there, your peace will rest on it. If not, it will return to you and remain in the same house eating and drinking such things as they give for the laborers

worthy of his wages. Do not go from house to house. You know, this is you know, an example of that would be, Let's say you go in to a house. Let's say the person, a person that's you know, a little less fortunate, that says, hey, you could stay at my house, right, and you're like, okay, and then you

go and you stay at their house. And then someone that's rich that has this, you know, these this beautiful house and stuff says hey, come come stay over here instead, and you're like, oh, okay, I want to stay there instead. That's what's way better living, you know, he said, don't go from house to house. The person that offered you the house first, you know, stay there and just show them that you appreciate it. It's not about the conditions you're

living in. It's really about that person asking you and inviting you in and you staying at that house. Right. And then it says, whatever city you enter and you receive, you eat such things as they set before you. Don't complain, don't say oh I don't eat that. You know, they want they want you to they want you to be have hospitality, you know, it says, and heal the sick there and stay to them the Kingdom God has come near. And say to them, the Kingdom of God has come

near to you. But whatever city you enter and they do not receive you, go out into the streets and say, the very dust in your city, which think which clings us wipe off against you? See that that's a it's very uh. Jesus is very straightforward on that one, all right. And also he's straightforward when he says, it'll be more tolerable on that day for Sodom than for that city. Sodommego. Mora got destroyed obviously, right, So he's warning them, you know,

and uh, man, pretty pretty important stuff. So let's check this out. This is the next verse is Luke ten, Verse thirteen. Woe to you Cherazine, woe to you Bethsida. For if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyree and Sa'adan, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. But it will be more tolerable for Tyree and Saddan at the judgment than for you and you Copernium, Are you exalted to heaven? Who are exalted? To Heaven will be brought

down to Hades. He who hears hears me, He who rejects rejects me. He who rejects me rejects him who sent me. So Hades is not the same as Shield. Hades is like like the lake of Fire. It's like the let me see what the strong concordance describes Hades as. When I was doing my studies on this, the pastor that I was listening to was talking about how Hades is more like the last judgment Hell. If that makes sense. Let me just make sure I'm not. Let's see, this's

gonna be Luke ten. We always like to check these out, you know, Yeah, Luke ten, Verse fifteen, Luke, and we're at fifteen. Oh. So here it's actually says down to Hell. It says it in The King James, it says Hades in the New King James. Well, that's interesting. Hell name Hades or Pluto the god of the lower regions? Wow uh, Orcus the nether world, the realm of the dead. Later you said the word the grave, death or Hell Biblical Greek is associated with orchist at version of the dark.

Let's see, where's down to Hell? So Hell is what's used here. Hell is what's used here in the King James. Okay, So just just want to let you guys know that we know what hell means. Okay, So I just want to make sure we know that the pastor that I was studying was saying that hades is like a like a. It's more of a strong word than saying shield or or what's the other word. There's another word. I can't remember it. All right, let's continue. He who hears you,

hears me, he rejects you, rejects me, right. And then it says he who rejects me rejects him who sent me, so that if you reject Jesus, you're rejecting God. Right. So in this verse it says Jesus pronounces woes on cities that witnesses miracles, yet do not repent, underscoring the seriousness of rejecting the Gospel. The accountability of those who hear the message of Christ is emphasized, as rejecting messengers

is aching to rejecting Christ himself. It's the same thing as Yeah, so if you're rejecting the disciples and you know they're coming in, you know Jesus is doing miracles, he's got signs, he's done wonders. At this point, people already know who he is, what he's about. Now he's sending his disciples to go and speak and read the Gospel messages, the good News. So he's just letting him know. You know that rejecting his messengers is the same thing

is rejecting him himself. And if you reject him, you're rejecting God, the Father in heaven. Okay, let's continue. Okay, hold on, I just want to make sure. I just want to go back to my notes. I'm sorry. I don't want to lose my spot here. Okay, the return the seventy return with joy. Then the seventy return with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name. And he said to them, I saw Satan fall like

lightning from heaven. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy. And nothing shall be any means hurt you, by any means hurt you. Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven. Okay, it's more important that your names are written in heaven. Okay, it's more important to go to heaven, you know, And

it was so it says the return. The disciples return with joy before that even demons submit to them in Jesus's name, illustrating the authority given to believers. Okay, So Jesus rejoices in the spirit, thankful the Father, thanking the Father for revealing truth to the humble and childlike Highland and the value of humility and dependence. That's ten through seventeen, right, Okay, that's seventeen through twenty fours, which we haven't done the Sorry,

we haven't read twenty four yet, so let's continue. So he's just saying basically in this verse right here, that it's more important to Yeah, you're yeah, okay, the demons are subject to you. Yeah, that's important. And that's a big thing. You know. You have power, Okay, you have power through God. Right, God is doing it all. But rejoice more that your names are written in heaven. Let's continue here, So, Luke ten verse twenty one, Jesus rejoices

in the spirit. In that hour, Jesus rejoiced in the spirit and said, I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and prudent, and revealed them to babes, to babies, sorry not babes. Even so, Father, for it seemed good in your sight. All things have delivered to me by my Father. And no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the son, and the one whom the Son wills to reveal him,

which will be the Holy Spirit. Right, so we kind of have a We have the Father, the Son, and then the Holy Spirit here. Right. Then he turned it to his disciples and said, privately, blessed are the eyes would see the things you see. For I tell you that many prophets and kings have desired to see what you see and have not seen it, and to hear what you hear and have not heard it. So think about this, how many of the prophets that lived in the Old Testament would want to see Jesus in person.

How many of the prophets would want to be able to read the New Testament and know what happens. They prophesized about the Messiah. They prophesized about Jesus coming, They prophesized about Jesus dying on the cross. They prophesized about all these things, but we even you know, the disciples actually got to witness it firsthand, right, which is beautiful and it's miraculous, and he wants them to appreciate that.

But also we should appreciate the fact that we get to read all the New Testament and we get to find out exactly what was going on, because when Jesus was on the earth, the Kingdom of Heaven was upon us. Okay, so it is a massive, massive, huge thing. This in the physical world, of course, but also in the spiritual

it was a massive transfer of power. Okay, think about it. Okay, the devil was able to manipulate people with the law and kind of do things, you know, like kind of push legalistic religious things on people a lot, you know, like, and he had a lot of control. And especially back then, when you sinned, you can't, you know, you didn't have Jesus dying on the cross for you and have your all your sins forgiven and buried in the deepest part

of the ocean. You had to go and do atonement and do a lot of different things which we went over and levid It is Okay, if you guys want to go back to that. So now we have a bridge between God and man. It makes Jesus dying on the Christ, makes us holy, makes it so that we're able to speak to God. It was a it was a huge thing. So that's why Jesus istone them. And hopefully they understand that. Hopefully they're understanding what they're actually witnessing.

I do think when you know, when I hear certain things about the disciples that they are, but we're human, you know, so sometimes we just don't get it and like it's but it's so true what Jesus is saying, blessed are the eyes would see the things you see? For I tell you that many prophets and kings, King David do you don't think you don't think King David would give all that stuff up to be able to be that disciple that's poor, but to be able to witness Jesus in the flesh, God in the flesh. Of

course he would. And yeah, and we also get to hear it says, and to hear what you hear and have not heard it, right, So that's the same with us, it's the same. We'll continue. Let's see as i'm as I'm talking about Leviticus, my wife is sending me Leviticus Versus. She's going through Leviticus right now. That's awesome, it's really cool. She doesn't listen to the show because she says, I don't have time. She listens to it once in a while. But she is reading the Bible right now by herself,

which I love. I don't care as long as she's reading the Bible. I don't care how she's getting fed, you know. I try to feed her as much as I can. We talk about it like she reads, and then we discuss it, you know, and I tell her what I've kind of learned about these certain portions, especially Leviticus. I told her you better not stop. You better keep going, babe, don't stop in Leviticus like everybody else. You better keep reading. And yeah, she's she's doing it. So anyways, Yeah, so

we'll continue going. Go back to my notes there we go. So think about that, guys. How blessed are we to be able to have the whole entire Bible laid out in front of us. How blessed are we to be able to go back to the strong skincordance the lexicons, the Greek, the Hebrew, you know what I mean? Like wow, Like we are blessed and we can actually go and take a class at college and learn Biblical Hebrew, and we can learn Greek if we wanted to, you know, we wanted to get that deep in studies. So we

are so blessed, We are so blessed. And this is such a good verse right here. I really really really love that right there, Luke ten twenty three and twenty four. So on point, let's continue Luke ten, verse twenty five, the parable of the Good Samaritan. And hold on, let meye, okay, there we go and behold a certain lawyer stood up and tested him, saying, teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? He said to him, what is written in the law? What is what is your reading? Off

it is? What is your reading of it? Off it? What is your reading of it? Sorry? And just let you know. Lawyers, that's what they did. They studied the law, the Biblical law, the lawyers back then, and they they would actually teach it, okay, and they studied it to a tee and they would teach the law. That's what the lawyers were back then, so so we answered and said, you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, with all

your mind, and your neighbor as yourself. And he said to him, you have answered rightly, Do this, and you will live. But he wanted to justify himself, said to Jesus. But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, and who is my neighbor? So he says. Then Jesus answered and said, a certain man went down to Jerusalem to Jericho and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothes clothing, wounding him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

By now, now, by chance, a certain priest came down the road, and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. Likewise, a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked, and passed by on the other side. But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was, and when he saw him, he had compassion. So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. He sent him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care

of him. On the next day when he departed, he took out to Dinari, gave them to the innkeeper and said to him, take care of him, and whatever more you spend, when I come again, I will repay you. So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves? And he said, and he said, he who showed mercy on him? Then Jesus said to him, go and do likewise. Okay, So you see, it's what's on the inside. You know, that priest that walked by, he looks holy on the outside, right,

he wants to look holy on the outside. He wants people to think that he's holy. But God he not only made the outside, but he also made the inside. So it's really what matters is what's on the inside. And when nobody's around, this priest, nobody's around sees that person struggling on the side of the road, and he just continues to walk. And then it says, likewise, a levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked and passed on the other side. So he went walked on

the other side of the street. So we didn't even have to deal with that person. But the au but a Samaritan as as he journeyed came where he was, and you see what he did. He gave him his own animal, brought him to an end, took care of him, and on the next day he departed. He also he gave the two dinari to the innkeeper so that that person could, you know, could can rest up, you know, so that he's good, you know. So it's just it's a beautiful picture of how we should be to people.

And Jesus is not just talking to this this gentleman. He is speaking to this gentleman, gentleman, but also through his words right here, he's speaking to us. Are we neighbors? Are you guys neighbors to people? You know, the people that are listening right now. When someone's in need, you know, do you walk on the other side of the road and try to go right by, or do you stop and help people? You know? And one thing we got to try to not do. We got to try not

to judge the people. You know, Like I was listening to this person the other day and he's like, I think he's like a he's like a higher up. I don't know, some kind of bishop. I don't know what he is. But of an Orthodox church or something you look like. But he was saying that a homeless guy came and asked him for money, and he said no because he judged him. He thought, oh, if I give you money, you're gonna do drugs. And then he went to the table and asked for money from another homeless

man and the guy gave him no money. And he said he felt so convicted in his heart because he judged him. But that homeless man that doesn't have that much money didn't even judge. He just gave it to him right away, and he said he felt so bad. So are we being neighbors to people? Do we care about other people? Or do we just focus on our own life? And you see that that our lives are going so fast and we have so much on our plates that it is hard to focus on other people.

But you got to have an agreement with you and your wife, or your wife and your husband, whatever, whoever's listening. You got to have an agreement that when you're doing work for the Lord, that nobody can you know, They can't really get, they can't say anything, they can't be mad at you, they can't be mean to you, they can't complain they can't argue with you. If you're trying to help somebody out or do something for the Lord,

you got to just let him know. Hey, this is you know, you never know when you're entertaining an angel Hebrews thirteen two. Entertain strangers because you might be entertaining an angel unaware. You never know if that person that's beat up on the road is actually an angel. Before it goes out, you never know if it's an angel. So I always tell people to make sure, make sure.

So Jesus is saying, here, go and do likewise. Right, let's see what it says here A lawyer questions about inheriting internal life leads to the parable, which redefines the concept of neighbor beyond cultural and ethic boundaries. The samaritans compassion and action serve as a model for true neighborly love, challenging us to show mercy to all, regardless of differences. Yes, and let me see it. There's I think I had something else. Shit. So so a Samaritan is traditionally viewed

as an outsider and an enemy by the Jews. Okay, so that's what we need to understand. Okay, this is not just like a Samaritan, we say, we call it a good Samaritan, but a Samaritan was actually an enemy of the Jews. So not only is it a you know, a person that's just coming from you know, outside of Israel, right, it's not just like a stranger, but it's an actual enemy. And that person that got robbed is obviously, you know, Jewish. So a traveler is robbed and left four dead, and

on the road from Jewsalem to Jericho. A priest to Levi Bo Jewish religious already read that. So the Parable teaches that a neighbor is anyone who shows compassions and kindness, regardless of their background or status. The significant to the story is love your neighbor. The parablem reinforces the commandment to love thy neighbors yourself compassionate, highlights the importance of showing compassion and mercy even towards those who are not

in immediate can or allies. Right, So if your family was on that road, you definitely help him out, you know. And and if you know, if your enemy was on that road, are you gonna help him out? Jesus is saying that you should, Okay, you shouldn't have an enemy anyways, you know, but maybe it's an enemy to your country or something. I don't know. That's kind of what it

looks like here. The story challenges prejudices right, religious and cultural prejudices, showing that the true definition of a neighbor is not based on ethnicity or religious affiliation. Yes, very true. Let's see. Let's go back up. Now we're gonna go with Mary and Martha worship and serve. Now it happened. Now, what happened is they went that he entered a certain village, and a certain woman named Martha welcomed him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat

at Jesus's feet and hurt his word. But Martha was distracted by much serving as she approached him and said, Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me. And Jesus answered and said to her, Martha, Martha, you were worried and troubled about many things, but one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part which will not be taken away from her. So the story of Martha and Mary illustrates the importance of priortizing time with Jesus

over busyness, emphasizing the need for spiritual focus and devotion. Amen. So let's let's check out some practical applications for this verse or for this chapter. Engage in ministry, partner with others, and sharing the gospel. Reckon I the importance of community and collaboration and ministry efforts. I can't emphasize that enough, you know. And that's why I know. Some people they they don't they don't go to church, you know, they have a they have a bias against going to church.

They would rather maybe listen to this show. And but definitely it's good to have fellowship with with other believers, you know. And whether you're having fellowship here or fellowship at church, it's definitely in good. It's good to engage with others and partners with others and share the gospel and recognize the importance of community. Yeah, definitely, definitely true. For some For some people, they don't, They don't like that.

They have different gifts. People have different gifts, you know. You know that that's that's definitely true. You know. Some people have the gift of talk, gift of gab, gift of speaking, gift of gab, is not one of the not the ones of the Bible. But you know, the gift of teaching, the gift of preaching, there's a bunch of different gifts. You know. Some people have gifts that

different kind of gifts. So not everybody's an evangelist, right, so you have different gifts you could do, you know, so practice humility, approach God with a childlike faith, value, humanity, and openness to his teaching. So what is a child like faith like? You know, Well, a childlike faith is your kids like my kids right now. You know, I have a three year old, a four year old, and

a six year old. Right. They they are highly dependent on me and highly dependent on my wife, and they have faith that they're going to get fed every day. They have faith that we're going to take care of them. That's that child like faith. They know that we're going to take care of them. Right, they have faith. That is what we are supposed to have with God, child like faith. Right, show compassion, actively seek opportunities to demonstrate love and mercy to those in need, following the example

of the Good Samaritan. Yes, demonstrating love and mercy, okay, to those that are in need and sometimes God may be setting up those situations to test your faith. Sometimes he may see like me, like I'm over here preaching, you know, teaching and preaching like hey, be the good Samaritan, you know, but I could end up, you know, with the situation to see. You know, I don't want to be a hypocrite. So if I see somebody that's in need,

you know, I need to do the same thing. So I just think it's important that we we show compassion prioritize spiritual growth. So balance service with time spending God's presence, ensuring the spiritual nourishment is not neglected in the busyness of life. That is so true, you know, like I was talking about, you know, uh, there's so many curveballs

that get thrown to us. So much stuff when it comes to work, so much stuff when it comes to you know, trying to make money, social media, family family events, trying to please your wife, trying to please your kids, trying to please your aunt, your uncle, your cousins. I don't know who's in your life, your mom, your dad.

You know, you're trying to please so many people, and sometimes you don't have time to please the Lord, the one that should be number one in your life, right, so you need to definitely, you know, what will you do for money? A lot of people will work sixty seventy hours a week just to make their money that they make, you know, to pay for their house, to pay for the cars, to pay for their boats, to

pay for whatever they have. And you know, it's way more it's way way more profitable, way more profitable to to get spiritual nourishment, right, it's way more profitable. But God, first, you know, if you're the one that could kill the body and the soul, not the one that could kill the body, right, which is gonna come up pretty soon here, So ah right, sorry, Okay, let's see if there's any So Samaria, although not explicity named in lieu tense, Samaria

is implied to the parable of the Good Samaritans. Samaritans were considered outsiders by the Jews, and the parable highlights themes of compassion and neighborly love across boundaries. Okay, so, and then connections, you know, additional scriptures you can look up. You can look up James two verses fourteen through seventeen, which discusses faith in action complementing the message of the Good Samaritan, we could go the real quick James two

fourteen through seventeen. Let's see exactly what that is. Since it's important, James two fourteen through seventeen, what does it profit, my brethren? If someone says he has faith but does not have works, can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, depart in peace, but be warm and filled, but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit. Thus? Also, faith by itself, if it does

not have works, is dead. Okay. So if we're going to represent God, now, this is not telling you that you have to have faith in works to be saved. This is telling you that we need to have We need to show our faith by our works. Right. What is faith? I just believing? I don't know, man, it's it's all I know is that we need to be disciples of God, right and and sin separates us from God. So obedience is vastly important for us. Okay. All I'm saying is that this is more of how Christians should

be once you're saved. That's the first step, right now, James is getting into the meat and potatoes of which how we should be disciples. Right, So that's what he's talking about here. He's trying to say, you need to show your faith by your works. Right. Philippians two three and four is also three through four is also a good one. It's encourage us humility and consider others needs,

aligning with jesus teachings on servanthood. Okay, sorry, someone just I think my instcart just dropped off the food that I ordered. That's why you heard that, ding. Let me tell her thank you. All right, let's go back to the notes. Perfect. Now we're gonna go to Luke eleven and let's see if I have I have some notes for Luke twelve here shameless persistence. Yes, okay, I'll leave that there. Oh, you need to go to eleven on here too. All right. I had to switch my make

sure my notes were pulled up. Okay. Now it came to pass as he was praying in a certain place that he seized that one of his disciples said to him, Lord, teach us to pray as John also taught his disciples. So we said to them, when you pray, say our Father in Heaven hallowed be your name, your kingdom. Come, you will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us day by day our daily bread, and forgive us of our sins. For we also forgive everyone who

is indebted to us. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. So our father in heaven hollowed be your name. That's going to be holy, be your name, or separate be your name. And in Matthew, the Lord's prayer is actually going to be I think it's a little bit longer. I think this is the condensed version. You will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Right, So God's will is vastly important. Right, so give us day by day our daily bread. Right, So,

and forgive us for our sins. Now does this mean like that you know Jesus dying on the cross forgives all of our sins, right, Yeah, But sin separates us from God. So you still need to repent. Okay, even if Jesus died for all your sins, and you still need to repent for those sins. Right. So, and also forgive everyone who is indebted to us, For we also forget everyone who is indebted to us. And do not lead us into temptation. Temptation there it means like it does.

It means testing right. But deliver us from the evil one. Obviously that is our adversary, that's going to be the devil. Here, it says Jesus provides a model for prayer. I'm emphasizing the importance of honoring God's name, seeking his kingdom, and relying on him for daily need and forgiveness. And the next is going to be a persistence, shameless persistence. A friend comes at midnight, and he said to them, this

is Luke eleven verse five. And he said to them, which of you shall have a friend, And go to him at midnight and say to him, friend, lend me three loaves. For a friend of mine has come to me on this journey, and I have nothing to set before him. And he will answer from within and say, do not trouble me. The door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed. I cannot rise and give it to you. I say to you, though he will not rise and give it to him, because

he is his friend. Yet because of his persistence, he will rise and give him as many as he needs. So I say to you, ask and it will be given to you. Seek and you shall, and you will find, knock and will be open to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. So let's stop there real quick. And Jesus doesn't tell tell you to ask once and you're going to receive it. Okay, That doesn't say there doesn't tell you how many times you need

to ask. Seeking right, shameless persistence is what you need to have. If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent a set of a fish. Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If you, then, being evil, know how to give good gifts for your children, how much we're more? Will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit for those who ask him?

So we are we inherently are evil? You know we're we're we're sinners, and we take care of our kids. So God doesn't have that evil in him. So how much more is God going to take care of us? All right? How much more will they heaven the Father give the Holy Spirit? To those who ask him, which is the best gift. That's what we should be asking for.

A holy spirit. Yes, if you're not saved, especially, but you see, you see what the point there is, you know, And obviously I mean what I think is if it's God's will, then you know it'll be done, you know. But he says, I say, ask, ask, and it will be given to you. Seek and you will find not going. It will be open to you. So but God is gonna give you. He's not going to give you too much that you can handle. Right, it says, he will not give you too much. Right, he will not give

you too much to handle. Okay, A house divided cannot stand. And he was casting out a demon, and it was mute. So it was when that this is a Luke eleven fourteen, And he was casting out a demon and it was mute. So it was when the demon had gone out that the mute spoke and the multitudes marveled. But some of them said, he cast out demons by bills above the ruler of the demons. Now here's the thing right here. Okay,

So the Jews believed the Pharisees, the Sadducees. They believed that you have to ask the demon its name, and once it gives you its name, then you could cast it out. But this happens to be a mute spirit. So this is like above and beyond what the Pharisees and Saddesties can do, because they weren't able to cast this demon out obviously, and Jesus is so they're marveled, they're amazed. But some of them said, he cast out demons by bill bells above, the ruler of the demons

and bells above. If you look at that, let's check it out real quick. That's another word for for the devil. Is what is what I've been taught? I don't know. Let me just make sure that I'm not okay looking up the Blue Letter Bible real quick, just to I want to see what it says. So Luke eleven, verse fifteen, Luke eleven, Luke eleven, verse fifteen. Let's check that out real quick. Belzebub is lord of the house and name of Satan, the prince of the evil spirits. Okay, yeah,

so it's another name for Satan for the adversary. So let's see what Jesus says back to them. Others testing him sought for him a sign from heaven. But he, knowing their thoughts, said to them. Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and a house divided against a house falls. If Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? Because you say, I cast out demons by Belzebub, And if I cast out demons by Belzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out?

Therefore they will be judges. But if I cast out demons with the finger of God, truly the kingdom of God has come upon you. When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own palace, his goods are in peace. But when he's stronger than he comes upon him and overcomes him, he takes him, takes from him his armor in which he trusts it, and divides his spoils. He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters. Let's see what the my

notes say about that one. Well, let me let me just go over this top portion. Persistence in prayer. Through the parable of the persistent friend, Jesus teaches that he we should be bold and persistent in our prayers, trusting that God as a loving father will provide what is best for us. The kingdom of God. Jesus demonstrates his authority over demons, highlighting the power and presence of God's kingdom. He warns against division, the necessity of being in a

line with him. So one thing we should take from this portion that we just read is even in your house, if it's divided, if you're fighting, then it's gonna fall, you know. So you gotta try to get along with your wife. You gotta try to get along with your husband. Right.

Let's see, if I had anything shameless persistence, Yeah, if we truly knew God's character, that's something ahead in my notes, then we wouldn't be able to, like, we couldn't wait to pray to him if we truly knew God's character all the way, because we don't mind asking, you know, asking our own dad for something, right, So you can imagine just asking, you know, a father in heaven. And then I kind of already talked about the mute spirit. The Jews had a belief that once you got the

demon's name, you were able to cast it out. But with the mute spirit, they just thought it was hopeless and that. But but Jesus. Obviously he knows. Otherwise, let's continue. Unclean spirit returns. When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest and finding none. He says, I will return to my house from which I came, And when he comes, he finds

it swept and put in order. Then he goes and takes with them seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there, and the last state of the man is worse than the first. That's that's very scary, you know. That's why it's important to get saved. Because think about that, when an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest and finding none. Hmm okay, let's see. Let's see what

this says. So yeah, it's also in Matthew twelve forty three through forty five, in describes the scenario where a spirit, after being cast out, returns with seven more wicked spirits, making the person condition worse than before. This is used as a warning that a person should not be content with just removing negative influences, but most must actively fill

their life with positive, god pleasing elements. Key points the imaginary the imagery represents a person who may have a good effort to get to rid themselves of sin or negative influence, but without actively seeking God's presence, they were left vulnerable. The Seven Spirits simplized the multi You know, I don't know if this is. I'm not gonna have this, and tell me what this is. I'll continue sounded so new agy, let's continue, okay, Luke eleven, verse twenty seven.

And it happened as he spoke these things that a certain woman from the crowd raised her voice and said to him, blessed is the womb that bore you and the breast which nurse to you. But he said more than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it. So even back then they were they were giving praises to marry right, kind of the same thing. But as you see, Jesus deflected what they said and said, more than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it. So it's

more important right now. He kind of rebuked that woman that said that, because you know, and like I said, it's it's still happening today, right this, this happens today with the Catholic Church. There's still there's still they're still like that woman in the crowd is saying that I'm not trying to I'm not trying to pounce on any anybody's faith. But you see how here we rebukes that

right there. So let's see right here the sign of Jonah's next twenty nine through thirty two perfect okay, seeking a sign, And while the crowds were thickly gathered together, he began to say, this is an evil generation. It seeks a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah the prophet. For as Jonah became a sign to the Nivites Ninavites, so also the son of Man will be to this generation. So what is the sign of Jonah? It's explained more in Matthew,

it says. The sign of Jonah is explained in Matthew twelve, verses forty through forty one. For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. The men of Nineveh will rise up in judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah,

and indeed a greater than Jonah is near now. When Jonah was in Ninevah, he was just talking about great judgments coming and to come down on you guys if you don't repent. It was like a straightforward way to just spread that message. Because he didn't want to be there. That's the whole reason why he got swallowed in the whale or the fish, not the will I would say the great fish. Sorry, the reason why he got swallowed in that gray fish in the first place because he

did not want to go to Ninevah. And God was causing these great seas and storms and everything in the sea because God was trying to get to go to Nineva and not try to disappear like dir. So there is a there's a big birthday balloon behind me. You'll probably see that kind of pop up here and there. Usually I move that, but I didn't move it before we started my bed if you're watching this on video. But yeah, So the sign of Jonah is that Jonah will be three days and three nights in the belly

of the great fish. So will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the Earth. What is that? Well, if you guys heard on Cult Conspiracy actually did an episode of whereas Hell's Location? And when I get to Luke sixteen, I'll kind of re revisit that for you guys, so you guys can see what I mean. So obviously scientists would say that the heart of the earth would be magma and you know all that stuff. So biblically, it seems that biblically,

you know, shield would be in the earth. You know, Hell would be in the earth. You know, there's so many verses which I'll show you guys where it talks about the underworld being down right. So anyways, we'll go over that when we get to Luke sixteen. So that's the sign of Jonah. Okay, that's what he's talking about.

Right there. He says, the Queen of the South will rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation and condemn them, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, And indeed, a greater than Solomon is here. The men of Nineveh will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and indeed, a greater than Jonah is here. Yeah, so Jesus is there right right there in the flesh, and

these people are still not believing. So that's why he's saying, this is an evil generation. It seeks a sign. But honestly, he's been doing signs, miracles, healing the sick, healing the blind, bringing people back from the dead. He's already been doing all that. Anyways, Jesus points to Jonah as a sign emphasizing the need for repentance and recognized the greater revelation found in him. There's greater revelation found in him. But he's saying, look, Jonah went to Nineveh, and Nineveh were

evil and they repented. Also Solomon that that woman that he's talking about here, the queen of the South, will rise up. She was a queen and she went she wanted to hear the wisdom of Solomon. Right, So that's what he's talking about there. So it's saying that, you know, Jesus is saying I'm greater than Solomon, saying that I'm greater than Jonah. Okay, and he's he's there. Let's see next we're gonna be going to Luke eleven, verse thirty three. Man, I think I might be getting bit by mosquitos on

my feet. Oh yeah, I see one actually right there. Wow. Yeah, I think I got mosquitoes in there because my foot is itchy. Luke, eleven thirty three. No one when he was no one. When he has lit a lamp, puts it in a secret place or under a basket. But under a lampstand that those who come in may see the light. The lamp of your body is the eye. Therefore, when your eye is good, your whole body is full of light. But when your eye is bad, your body

also is full of darkness. Therefore, heed that the light which is in you is not darkness. If if then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, the whole body will be full of light, as when the bright shining of a lamp gives you light. So Jesus teaches about spiritual perception, urging us to ensure that our eyes are healthy, so that our whole body is full of light. So how often do your eyes sin? You know, like your eyes called you to cause you

to stumble? Happens a lot with men, you know for sure. And let's see if there's yeah. So he's comparing the eye to a lamp that lights up the body, highlighting the importance of clear spiritual vision. That's a good way to put it. Okay, let's continue woe to the Pharisees and lawyers m And as he spoke, a certain pharisee asked him to dine with him. So he went in and sat down to eat. When the Pharisees saw it, he marveled that he had not first washed before dinner.

So Basie was amazed that he didn't he didn't wash before dinner. Then the Lord said to him, Now, you, Pharisees, make the outside of the cup and dish clean, but your inward part is full of greed and wickedness, foolish ones. Do not did not He who made the outside of the make the inside also, but rather give alms of such things as you have, that indeed things are clean

to you. So he's saying that God made the outside right, but he also made the inside, so he, Jesus can see how these people are on the inside, full of greed, wickedness, foolish ones. And he's just he's probably marveling at how these people are. He rebukes the religious leader for their hip hypocrisy, stressing the importance of inner purity over outward appearances. Yeah,

that's what I was talking about earlier. They cared so much about the outward appearance, or or they cared so much that people were we're seeing that they're holy on the outside, but they're wicked, greed and wickedness on their inside. But woe to you, Pharisees for the for the tithe mint and rule in all manner of herbs and past, by justice and the love of God. These you ought to have done without leaving the others undone. Woe do you, Pharisees, for you love the best seats in the synagogues and

greetings in the marketplaces. Woe do you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, For you are like graves which are not seen, and the men who walk over them are not aware of them. So yeah, when back in the day that they would be unclean if they walked on a grave as well, So they used to put markings on the graves so that you didn't walk over the grave. It's unclean. And why is the dead body unclean? Because we were originally

not supposed to die. We were supposed to be. We're supposed to live eternally with God, and that we waited up dying because of sin. The wages of sin is death. That's why it's unclean Luke eleven forty five. Then one of the lawyers answered and said him, teacher, by saying these things, you reproach us also. And he said, woe to you also, lawyers, for you load men with burdens hard to bear, and you yourselves do not touch the burdens with your own fingers, with one of your fingers.

Woe do you, for you build the tombs of prophets, and your father's killed them. In fact, you bear witness that you approve the deeds of your fathers, for they indeed killed them and build their tombs. So right there, he's basically telling them that you burden them with the law, and you try to like you teach them about the law, and you create burdens for them, but you can't even do the law yourself. You can't even keep the law yourself. You teach them the law, you act like you keep

the law, but you can't even keep the law yourself. Therefore, the wisdom of God also said, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them will kill and persecute. And the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation, from the blood of Able to the blood of Zachariah, who perished between the altar and the temple. Yes, I say to you, it shall be required of this generation. Wow,

let me go to make sure. So. Jesus pronounces woes to the pharisees and experts in the law for their hypocrisy and legalism. He criticizes their focus on outward appearance while neglecting justice and the love of God. The Greek word for woe conveys a sense of laminate, impeding judgment, impending judgment. It says, woe to you, lawyers. You have taken away the key of knowledge. You do not enter yourselves for those who are entering, who were entering, and

you hindered. And as he said these things to them, the scribes and pharisees began to assail him vehemently and to cross examine him about many things, lying in wait for him and seeking to catch him something he might say that they might accuse him. Wow. So let's see some connecting verses. So the Lord's prayer is available in Matthew six nine through thirteen. Another account of the Lord's prayer emphasizing similar things of God's kingdom or provision. James

five sixteen encouraged his believers to pray fervently. How I in the power of righteous prayer. Matthew twelve, verses thirty eight through forty two is parallel passage discussing the sign of Jonah, which we already went over. Phasians five eight through ten encourages believers to live as children of light, discerning what pleases the Lord. So some practical applications for this chapter is model your prayers right. Use the Lord's prayer as a guide to structure your own prayers focusing

on God's holiness, his kingdom, and your daily needs. Of course, yeah, I don't believe in Ah. Just saying like hollow be thy name and saying that and just repeating that exact prayer. Yes, I think it's it's more of a template for us to use. Jesus is just showing us. That's what they asked him, show us how we pray, and Jesus showed them how to pray. But I don't think we should just say the same prayer over and over and over and over and over and over again. That's just me.

I think you should definitely formulate your own prayer, using that as a guide to structure your prayers. Definitely be persistent, don't give up in a prayer. Approach God with confidence, knowing that he hears and answers according to his will. Seek God's kingdom. Prioritize, prioritize God's kingdom in your life, aligning your actions and decisions with His purpose. For sure, prioritize God's kingdom in your life. Aligning Yep, one hundred percent.

I agree with that. Cultivate spiritual discernment. Regularly examine your spiritual life to ensure that you are perceiving God's truth and light, and then purs pursue inner purity. Focus on cultivating a heart that is pure and aligned with God's will, rather than merely maintaining outward religious appearances. Yeah, it's about relationship, right,

Relationship with God is not about religion. So just make sure that you're aligning with God's will will all right, So we kind of a ware he went over versus that connect we don't. Yeah, additional scriptures. We already went over those. Let me get go to Luke twelve. Here, let's go to Luke twelve. Beware of hipocrisy. This is

Luke twelve to one. In the meantime, when in innumerable multitude of people had gathered together so they trampled one another, he began to say to his disciples, first of all, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hip hypocrisy. Sorry, for there's nothing covered that will be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known. Therefore, whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and which you have spoken in the ear in the inner

rooms will be proclaimed on the on the housetops. Beware of the leaven. Leaven was was, you know, That's why it says the unleavened bred leaven represented sin. So beware of the sin of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. But

there's nothing covered that will not be revealed. So if you notice, like you might have a sin that you do you know by yourself, or you kind of hide from people, and you know most of the time that sin's going to come to the light, and that people are gonna find out, and someone's gonna find out about that sin. You know that God knows no matter what you know. Just I would tell people, you know to

treat Okay, understand something. If you treat situations, if your spouse is standing right next to you, If you wouldn't do it right in front of your spouse, then don't do it by yourself. Okay, That's that's my advice, because understand something. God is able to see everything that you're doing.

He knows what you're doing. So if you wouldn't do it in front of your spouse, then why you're going to do it in front of God, which is way more important than your spouse even finding out if you're doing something bad like that, you know, treat it as if your spouse is right there, standing next to you, and it'll help you. It'll assist you, all right, Luke twelve,

Verse four. Jesus teaches the fear of God. And I say to you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that have no more than they can do. That they can do. But I show you whom you should fear. Fear him who, after he has killed the power, has cast into hell. Yes, say to you, fear him. So don't fear the one that could kill the body, for the one that could

kill the body and the soul and cast you into hell. Right, So in the first in the first three verses, okay, we went over those, uh So for this, Jesus begins by warning against the hypocrisy of the pharisees that emphasizing the importance of the fearing God over a man. But I will show show you whom you should fear. Fear the one after you've been killed, has a power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him. Yes,

of course, have fear. Fear God. So I'm saying like a lot of people will fear diseases and fear cancer, and fear people, and fear COVID and fear all this stuff, you know, but they're not even fearing God. It's crazy. Okay, let's continue Luke twelve, verse six. And not five sparrows sold for two copper coins, and not one of them is forgotten before God. But the very hairs on your head are all numbered. Do not fear. Therefore you are

more of value than many sparrows. So sparrows back then were like they came like a dime a dozen, like poor people would would would buy sparrows. Right, So God is telling you how important you are. You know, by the very hairs of your head are numbered, like, God knows exactly how many hairs on your head you have, and he's saying, do not fear. Therefore, you are more value than the sparrows. So God is not forgetting them. So why is he going to forget You're You're more important?

So Jesus reassures his disciples of God's care using the sparrows and the hairs on your heads as examples of God's intimate knowledge and provision. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not be afraid. You are worth more than many sparrows. Okay, confess Christ before men, Luke twelve, verse eight. And also I say to you, whoever confesses Me before men, him, the son of Man, will confess before the angels of God. But he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels

of God. So it's so important to acknowledge Christ before others. Okay, So obviously this is something that's big, you know. I hear a lot of podcasters out there that that deny Christ, you know, in front of their audience, you know, and it's crazy, like they should know this verse. They don't really do it in front of me. When I'm on different shows, they don't really deny Christ in front of me.

I have been on some shows that are just it's just super super awkward when I'm on shows where, you know, like sometimes when I'm with people that are non believers that invited me on the show kind of they invited me on the show just to kind of argue with me about the Bible. I don't like to do that,

you know, but it happens sometimes. But it's crazy, man, that people they deny Christ right there on their podcast in front of I mean, they might have a thousand, fifteen hundred two thousand people listening and they're denying Christ. They need to understand this. But Hugh denies me before men, will be denied before the angels of God. You know, if you deny Jesus in front of men, He's going to deny you in front of God. That's just a

sin chills up and down your spine. So Luke twelve, verse ten, and anyone who speaks a word against the Son of men, it will be forgiven him. But to whom who blasphemy is the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven. Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. A lot of people feel like they've committed that before. They'll ask pastors, you know, constantly, did I I feel like I committed that sin?

Speaker 3

You know, I.

Speaker 1

Did? I did I. And you know, if you're denying Jesus, you know, if you're denying Jesus, the work of Jesus, if you denying the Holy Spirit, the one who sent that Jesus sent, and you're lying, you know, it's really if you look into Matthew or like when he's explaining the blaspheming the Holy Spirit, what they were doing was they were that's what they were doing. They were saying that Jesus was casting out demons in the name of the devil, right, so basically saying that he's part of

the kingdom of Hell. And then Jesus warns them and saying, you're getting close to doing blaspheming the Holy Spirit. So that's one of the interpretations of what that is. In John fifteen twenty six to twenty seven, the coming rejection is what the title is. It says, but when the helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth, who proceeds from me. He will testify of me, and you also will bear witness because

you have been with me from the beginning. So if you deny the message the Holy Spirit is bringing, or you're denying the Gospel, then then that's blast me the Holy Spirit. That's unforgivable sin. Because if you deny Jesus and the message the Gospel, then then you were committing blasts me the Holy Spirit, because the Holy Spirit is the one that's bringing that message to you. That's another

way of interpreting that. Okay, So there might be other ways to interpret it, you know, but that's like the kind of the two ways that I've learned. Blast me the Holy Spirit is denying the Gospel. Right now, when they bring you to the synagogues and magistrates and authorities, do not worry about how or what you should answer what you should say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.

You're speaking to the uh Is disciples right there right twelve seven twelve a twelve okay, the parable the rich Fool's next. Okay, all right, let's continue the parable of the rich fual. This is Luke twelve, verse thirteen. Then one from the crowd said to him, Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me. But he said to him, man who made me a judge or an arbitrar? Over?

Who made me a judge or arbitrator over you? And he said to them, take heed and beware of covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of things that he possesses. Then he spoke it parable to them, saying, the ground of a certain rich man yielded plentiful. And he thought within himself, saying, what shall I do, Since I have no room to store my crops? So he said, I will. I will do this. I will put down my barns and build greater and there I will store

all my crops of my goods. And I will say to my soul, soul, you have many goods laid up for many years. Take your ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God's said to him, fool, this night your soul will be required of you. Then those will and then who's will those things be which which you have provided? So he's concentrating and focusing on his materialistic things or the things that he's received, not knowing he's gonna die

that night. So you see how sometimes our minds get caught up in the materialistic or the physical world and not you know. And also the covetousness is what he's talking about here, takeweed and bureau of comestutness. Life is not const of abundance and the things he possesses. Yes, so in this parable, he's uh, I'll see if there's anything that could give from this. Jesus warns against greed and the folly of storing up earthly wealth without being

rich toward God. But God said to it will be fool this very night you will be required of you this then who will own what you have accumulated? You know? So everything that you have on this earth right now, this house you have, this apartment, you have, whatever if you die, you know, when you die, someone's going to be living in it. This house that you own, supposedly you own, someone's going to be living in this house and sleeping in your master bedroom and eating in your

kitchen when you die. So this thing that you fought so much to get to gain to buy, to purchase to pay off you're thirty years of life that you you know, thirty year mortgage. Someone is going to take over this place because you cannot bring this house with you, or these cars with you, or these women, or these drugs or these parties or whatever you got going on.

You can't bring them with you to heaven. You can't get a big U haul and uh, you know, hammer and nails and start pulling all the nails out of this house and try to bring it with you to heaven and build it. You know, it's not gonna happen. You're just gonna die. So it's way more important to focus on the kingdom of heaven and building up treasures in heavens than it is to build up treasures on earth. And we focus so much on the physical, we don't

think of the spiritual. That's the thing that happens, you know. So obviously with this rich guy, he was thinking about the material and not the spiritual, right, not thinking of God. He was thinking of all the stuff that he could build up, not knowing he was gonna die and go see his maker. Fool this night, Your soul will be required of you for those things which you have provided it, says uh. So is he who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God? God? You see,

let's continue. Do not worry, then, he said to his disciples. Therefore, I say to you, do not worry about your life. What will you eat, nor about your body what you will put on. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouses nor barn, and God feeds them. So how much more valuable are you than birds? Or how much more value are you than birds? And which of you, by worrying, can add

one cubit of his stature? If you are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest? Consider the lilies, how they grow? They neither toil nor spin. And yet I say to you even a salmon or Solomon, and his glory was not a raid like one of these. If then God so close the grass, which today is the field tomorrow was thrown the oven, how much more

will He clothe you, oh, you of little bathe? So in the in James James says that life is but a mist Okay, so don't worry about You shouldn't worry or stress about things. And a lot of people do. You know, anxiety is running rampant in our society right now. It's not about what you're gonna eat, or your body or what you're gonna wear. We we focus so much on before we go out. You know, women they put the makeup on, they get they put their outfit on, and they focus so much on what. You know, and

men do too. We're all guilty of this, focus so much on we're gonna wear they you know, our kids, you know, we want to have them all matching clothes. You know, like my wife wants them all matching, all three of my kids matching with the same shirt. You know, whatever. You know, so we focus so much on that. You know, life is more than food and the body is more than clothing. Okay, anxiety, like I said, is running rampant.

But when you have God and you have faith, then you're not gonna have anxiety because because we're worth more than the raven. Okay, we're worth more than the birds. And they don't have barns, but they're storing up a bunch of food. Luke twelve Verse twenty nine. And do not seek what you should eat, whether you should drink, nor have an anxious mind for all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things. But seek the Kingdom of God,

and all these things shall be added to you. Focus put God first, and all these things that you are worrying about will be added to you. That's so true. When I got saved and I started putting God first and focusing on the Word of God, and focusing on God and focusing on what he wants and his will, then I'm not anxious about stuff. I'm not worried about all that stuff. I'm not even thinking about what I'm

going to eat. I'm thinking about feeding myself. The word the Bible Jesus teaches about the futility of worry and the importance of seeking God's kingdom first.

Speaker 4

But his kingdom.

Speaker 1

Seek his Kingdom, and these things will be added to unto you. I mean, that's just that's plain and simple. It's so true. If you are obedient to God, then believe me, you're not gonna be You're not going to be like You're not going to be on the streets, no job, you know, homeless. If you're obedient to God and you have integrity, and you have you know, everything that God wants you to do, and you're doing God's will, you're gonna have food, you're gonna have drink, and you're

not gonna have an anxious mind. Okay. If you are following God's will and you're obedient and you're doing everything you need to do, Okay, God takes care of the birds, He's definitely gonna take care of you. He says that all these things shall be added to you. Now. Granted, do some people lose their job? Do some people lose their marriage? Do some people lose even though they might be obedient to God, that's because of what someone else did to them. You know it caused that, you know so.

But if somebody divorces you, but you stay the course and you're going through a divorce, but you're being obedient to God and you stay in the word, I guarantee you you're going to come out of that way better than someone that doesn't. Let's continue. This is going to be Luke twelve, verse thirty two. Do not fear, little Flockford. Is your father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Sell what you have and give alms. Provide yourself money bags which do not grow old. They treasure in the

heavens that does not fail. There is no thief approaches, nor moth destroys. For where your treasure is there, your heart will be also. So seek the treasures of heaven out the treasures on earth. And it says that your father has good pleasure to give you the kingdom. He wants you to be obedient. He wants you to be persistent, shameless, persistent prayers. He wants you to And he said that his father takes pleasure in giving you the kingdom. Luke twelve,

verse thirty five. A faithful servant an evil servant. Let your waiste be girded, and your lamp's burning, and yourselves be like men who wait for their master. Then he will return from the wedding, that when he comes a knox, they may open it to him immediately. Blessed are those servants whom the Master, when he comes and will find watching. Surely I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come

and serve them. And if he should come in the second watch or come in the third watch and find them. So blessed are those servants. But know this that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore, you will also be ready for the sun Amen is coming in an hour you do not expect. The chapter concludes what they call to be watchful and ready for the master's return,

emphasizing the faithful stewardship. You will also be ready because the son of man will come at an hour you do not expect. Very interesting. I don't know why, but my voice is going out a little bit. Let me just drink some water.

Speaker 4

Let's continue. So let's see if I have notes on this.

Speaker 1

On me. One second, we look this up.

Speaker 3

Guys, okaylu twelve forty two through forty eight.

Speaker 1

And Peter says him, of Lord, you speak this parable only to us or to all people, Luke twelve forty two says, And the Lord said, who then is that faithful and wise stewart whom his master will make ruler over his household to give them a portion of food and due season. Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing. When he comes, truly, I say to you that he will make him a ruler over

all that he has. But if the servant says in his heart, my master's delaying is coming, and begins to beat the male and female servants, and do not eat or drink to be drunk, the master of the servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him, and in an hour when he is not aware, and he will cut him in two and appoint him his portion from the unbelievers. And the servant who shall who knew his master's will and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with

many stripes. But he who did not know yet committed things deserving of stripes shall be beaten with few. For everyone of whom much is given for him, much will be required. And to whom much has been committed of him, they will ask more. So. Yeah, so the set up. A master entrusts his servants with the responsibility of managing his household and distributing food while he is away. The

faithful servant ay faithful. This is explaining this parable. The faithful servant is a wise servant who is one who was entrusted with the responsibility and diligently manages the household ensure everyone is fed at the proper time. The unfaithful servant. Conversely, an unfaithful servant is one who, believing the master will be delayed, becomes lazy, abuses his authority, and neglects his

responsibilities the master's return. When the Master returns, he rewards the faithful servant with the increased responsibility and praises his faithfulness the punishment of the unfaithful. The unfaithful servant is punished severely and he was found to be unprepared and irresponsible. And similar theme is found in Matthew twenty five, verses fourteen through thirty, where a master in trusts for amounts of talents to his servants and are judge based on

how they use the talents. The message the parable emphasize the importance of being prepared for the lord's return, using one's gifts and talents wisely, and being accountable for one's actions. So we need to understand, yeah, that we need to be ready for the lord's return. And if if you have stuff in your house or things that you're doing that you wouldn't do if Jesus returned. Like, let's say Jesus return tomorrow and he said, he's coming to your house.

What would you get rid of before he walks in your house? Would you get rid of that bong? Would you get rid of that weed? Would you get rid of those mushrooms? Would you get rid of the alcohol? What would you get rid of? The pornography? The playboy? Whatever you have the Maxim magazine. I don't even know if they still have those. You know, what would you get rid of if Jesus was coming, Well, whatever you would get rid of, get rid of it. Now be

prepared for his return, is what he's saying. It says Christ brings division, and that's the title, and it's let's see, let me get back to my notes. Actually that is a Deuteronomy four. I don't want that. I want Luke ten. Okay, let's see. Okay, it declares he has bringing divisions. Okay, So this is Luke twelve, verse forty nine. I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled? But I but I have a baptism to be baptized with. And how distressed am I

till it is accomplished. Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you not not at all, but rather division. For from now on five in one house will be divided three against two and two against three. Father will be divided against son, and son against father, mother against daughter, and daughter against mother, mother in law against daughter in law, and daughter in law against her mother in law. So Jesus declares he has come to bring division, not peace, as his message

will cause division even among families. This she reflects the word diamorsimos, meaning division or disunity. So yeah, if if somebody believes in Jesus and then the other person doesn't, then they're going to be opposed to that. So the idea is so that would cause fathers to be divided against son, son against father, mother against daughter. Let's say the mother was was is saved and then the daughter is not and she is going out partying. It's causing

division between the mother and daughter. If the daughter is saved and the mother is not and the mother is going out partying and hooking up with other men and the daughter is saved, that's gonna cause division, right, it says, daughter in law against her mother in law, right. So that's another thing. You know. Let's say that the the let's say the husband of this woman is saved, but the but the wife is not, and the mother in

law of this wife is saved. It's going to cause division, right, It says, I came to send fire on earth, And how I wish it were already kindled. But I have a baptized to be baptized with, and I have distressed, and I'm accomplished. Do not do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you see, see the truth hurts, right, it says, I tell you not at all, but rather division from from now on, five in one house would be divided three against two,

two against three. All right, So yeah, that's kind of self explanatory there, Hu twelve, verse fifty four. Discern the time, then he said to the multitudes, wherever you see a cloud rising out of the west, immediately you say a shower is coming, and so it is. And when you see the south wind blow, you say there will be hot weather, and there is hypocrites. You can't discern the face of the sky and on the earth, and how

it is you do not discern this time? So Jesus criticizes the crowds for the ability to interpret weather signs but failing to discern the present time, urging them to recognize the significance of his ministry. Make peace with your adversary, yes, and why even of yourselves do you not judge what is right? When you go with your adversary to the magistrate, make every effort along the way to settle with him,

unless you drag you to the judge. The judge, deliver you to the officer, and the officer throw you into prison. I tell her you shall not depart from there too. You have paid the very last mic. So Jesus advised that suddenly disputes quickly before reaching the judge to avoid severe consequences. This serves as a metaphor for reconciling with God before judgment. And let's see. So, so we're done with this chapter, Let's look at some practical applications. Cultivate

a healthy fear of God. Reflect on areas where you may fear human opinion more than God's truth, and ask God to help you prioritize his perspective. So, how often are we fearing human's opinions or what they think about us or you know, like when I started a podcast, you know, a Christian and conspiracy podcast, how many people, Like did I make enemies as soon as I started that A lot, when I started talking about biblical cosmology,

I made a lot of enemies. But I don't care, you know, because I personally would I would rather impress God than people. I don't really care. I'm here to impress God. I'm not here to impress people. That's just me and I think that's the way we should live.

And I'll always spread God's truth even I'll even go on podcasts where like I was I was talking about earlier, I'll go on podcasts where maybe they're not they're non believers, and I'll go through you know, I know them that I'm in a den of atheists, but I'll still always refer to the Bible the whole show, and I'll speak. I'll speak, and then I'll refer to the Word of God, because I know that the Word of God is like a sharp, double edged sword ready to slice through these

atheists words. Next one is going to be trust in God's provision. Identify specific worries you have about your needs and commit them to God in prayer. Trusting in his provision. Boldly confess your faith. Look for opportunity to share your faith with others, trusting that Jesus will honor your confession. That's for sure. We're we should be disciples. We should be spreading the good news. That's our whole point and being on this earth is that. Let me see how

long the next chapter is out. It's very short, So that's going to be perfect because I have twenty minutes. Okay, So evaluate your priorities. Assess your financial and life goals to ensure that they align with being rich toward God rather than merely accumulating wealth. That's we kind of went over that before. Live with the eternal perspective. Regularly remind yourself of the temporary nature of this world and importance

of being ready for Christ's return. Okay, that's we. We definitely need to know that, and everybody needs to know that. Everybody that's living on this earth needs to know that, because not all of us do that. We're not. We're not. We wouldn't be prepared if Jesus came tomorrow, would we. I don't know about you, guys, but am I sorry? I'm getting I'm just drinking honey, real quick. See, pastors are blessed. You know. Pastors are blessed because they do

like forty five minute Bible studies. We do two hours. We hit it. We hit it hard. You know. It takes a lot of research to uh to do this. So all right, here we go, Luke thirteen, verse one. There were present, they there, there, There were present at this season, some who told him about the Galileans, whose blood pilot had mingled with their sacrifices. And Jesus answered and said to them, do you suppose that the Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galleans because they

suffered such things? I tell you no, but unless you repent, you will be Likewise you will like life all likewise perish. Or Or those eighteen on whom the Tower of Saloam fell and killed them, do you think they were worse sinners than all the other men who dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you no, but unless you repent, you will likewise perish. Jesus uses the tragedies of the Galleons and the Tower of Salom to emphasize that suffering is not always a direct result of personal sin. Instead, he calls

everyone to repentance. But unless you repent, you will all perish. Yeah, we need to understand that. Right. Repent. Okay, if they repented before this happened, it doesn't matter because they're going to go to heaven anyways, if they repented and they believed in Jesus. Right. The parable of the baron fig He also spoke this parable. A certain men had a fake tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking

fruit on it and found none. Then he found He said to the keeper of his vineyard, look, for three years I have come seeking fruit on this fake tree and find none. Cut it down. Why does it use up the ground. But he answered and said to him, sir, let this let it alone this year until I dig it around it and fertilize it and it bears fruit. Well, but if not, after that, you can cut it down. So he's just saying, you know, give it time. Let

me fertilized it so that it bears fruit. So the parable illustrates God's patience and the opportunity for repentance, Yet it also warns of the It also warns of the consequences of continued unfruitfulness. We need to you know, we're known by our fruits, right, whatever fruits that we produce, and you know, we need to make sure that we're fruitful, right for sure. A spirit of infirmity. This is Luke thirteen ten. Now he was teaching in one of the

synagogues on the Sabbath. And behold there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years and was bent over and couldn't and could could in no ways raise herself up. But when Jesus saw her, he called her to him and said, to her, woman, you are loosened from your infirmity. And he laid his hands on her,

and immediately she was made straight and glorified God. So but the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, and he said to the crowd, there are six days in which men ought to work. Therefore come and be healed on them, and not the Sabbath day. The Lord answered him and said, hypocrite, does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or donkey from the stall and lead it away to water it. So this woman, being a daughter

of Abraham, who Satan has bound think of it. For eighteen years, he loosened from the bound to the Sabbath, from the bound on the Sabbath. And when he said these things, all the adversaries were put to shame, and the multitude rejoice for all the glorious things that were done by him. So Jesus heals a crippled woman on the Sabbath, challenging the legalistic interpretations of the law and

demonstrating the priority of compassion over ritual. So also, if you look, it talks about like, you know, if a sheep were to fall in or dang. I can't remember which verse that is, but he's talking about, you know, if your animal falls into the water once you save it. On the Sabbath, it's kind of the same thing. That's what he's doing, you know. So I don't think they understand the Sabbath. You know, it's they don't understand the point of the Sabbath is to be holy. And by

him healing this woman, he is being holy. It's a it's a it's a day set apart, you know, it's it's a holy it's it's God has set it apart to be holy. So if your house is on fire on the Sabbath. Do you not get water to put it out? Or do you say, eh, it's all right, I'm gonna let my house burn down because it's the

Sabbath today and I can't work. So if your child is choking, you know, on a on on chicken, and you're like, I'm sorry, you're gonna have to die because I can't work on the Sabbath, you see, it's like they don't get it. They're all about that ritual, religious ritual and law abiding and pushing, and he's telling their hypocrites, okay, the parable of the mustard seed. Then he said, what is the Kingdom of God like? And how shall it

compare it? How shall I compare it? It is like a mustard seed which a man took and put in his garden and grew, became a large tree, and the birds of the air nested on its branches. People, no places events. So the parable of the mustard seed compares the Kingdom of God to a mustard seed in yeast. The mustard seed, though small, grows into a large tree, and the yeast leavens the whole batch of dough. These parables highlight the expansive and transformative nature of God's kingdom.

And then Jesus heals a woman who have been crippled for eighteen years. He declares the woman, you are set free from the infirmity. The Greek word for set free is apolio, indicating a release of liberation. The miracle sparks a debate about the appropriateness of healing on the Sabbath, And then we talked about the parable of the mustard seed. Already now we're at Luke thirteen, verse twenty two. And he went through the cities and villages teaching and journey

toward Jerusalem. Then one said to him, Lord, are there few who are saved? And he said to them, strive to enter through the narrow gate. For many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able. When once the master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock on the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open for us, and he will answer and say to you, I do not know you. Where are you from? And then you begin to say, we ate and drinking your presence, and

you taught in our streets. But he will say, I tell you I do not know you. Where are you from depart from me, all you workers of iniquity. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. And you will see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, and all the prophets of the Kingdom of God, and yourself thrust out. They will come from the east and the west, and from the north in the south, and sit down at the Kingdom of God. And indeed there are last who will

be first, and first who will be last. So Jesus teaches about entering through the narrow door, warning that many will seek to enter but will not be able. He emphasizes the urgency of responding to God's invitation, as the door will not remain open indefinitely. So we got to understand, too, man strive to enter through the narrow gate. For many I say to you will seek to enter, but will not be able. So that should send chills up and down your spine too. When he says, we ate and

drank in your presence. You taught in our streets. But he will say, I will tell you I do not know you where you are from. Depart from me, all your workers of iniquity, He's staying. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth because people will be complaining and say, Lord Lord, you know I prophesize in your name. I all these things you know that Jesus talks about in another passes when he's talking about this, I cast out demons are prophesizing your name. Depart from me because I

never knew you, you workers of iniquity. Let me see real quick. That's Luke thirteen. Let me just look at the strongest concordance for you, guys, Luke thirteen. I want to see what that word iniquity means. In the Greek the East of the West. Your workers of iniquity is

twenty seven Luke thirteen. Twenty seven, Yeah, iniquities in the King James as well, Let's see your workers of unrighteousness of the heart, a deed violating law and justice, active unrighteousness injustice, or a judge unrighteousness of heart and life. So it's in Luke, workers of iniquity. That's also another word he could use, unjust. Another word he can use is unrighteousness. Okay, that's that's what it is. It's unrighteousness,

your workers of unrighteousness or workers of iniquity. Okay, let's continue on that very day. Some Pharisees came to him, saying, get out and depart from here, for Herod wants to kill you. And he said to them, go tell Sorry, he says, go tell that fox. Behold, I cast out demons, have performed curious today and tomorrow, and another third day I shall be perfected. Nevertheless, I much journey today, tomorrow and the day following. Where it cannot be that a

prophet should perish outside of Jerusalem. Let's go back to Okay, here we go thirty one through thirty five. Pharisees warned Jesus that Herod wants to kill him. Jesus responds by expressing sorrow over Jerusalem's rejection of God's messengers. So let's continue, says, Oh Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and

stone those who are sent to her. How often I wanted to gather your children together as a hen gathers her broad under her wings, but you were not willing see your house is left you desolate, and assuredly, I say to you, you shall not see me until the time comes when you say, blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. So how often have I longed to gather you together children, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were unwilling.

The imagery of the hen gathering chicks reflects God's protective and nurturing desire for his people. And then Jesus warns that the entry into the Kingdom of God christs earnest effort, and many who assume they yeah, many assume that they're in clude, we'll find themselves outside. And then Jesus laments over Jerusalem. Jesus expresses sorrow over Jerusalem's rejection of him,

highlighting his desire to gather and protect his people. So he's like seeing that you guys don't even know, like I wanted to gather you and want you guys to believe, but you reject me. Sweet, So this is this is we're gonna be starting next week. And Luke fourteen, let me go over some practical applications for you guys before we end this. Examine your heart regularly, assess your life for areas needing repentance, and seek God's forgiveness and transformation.

It's not only about asking God forgiveness, but it's about you doing a one to eighty from those sins. That you're asking God to forgive you for bear fruits. Strive to live a life that reflects the values of God's Kingdom, producing spiritual fruit in your actions and relationships. Prioritize compassion. Follow Jesus' example by placing love and compassion above legalistic practices and traditions, men's traditions. Okay, we gotta we got to choose the word over men's traditions. We got to

choose the word over culture. Okay, cultural biases, anything like that. You've got to choose the word over the world all day long. Okay. Embrace small beginnings. Trust that God can use small acts of faith and obedience to accomplish great things in his kingdom. Strive for the kingdom. Make a conscious effort to live according to God's will, understanding that entry into His kingdom requires commitment and perseverance. Let's stop screaming or sharing this so once again, what an awesome study.

I enjoyed it. I will be more studied up. I feel like I studied Luke ten eleven pretty good, ten and eleven and twelve pretty good. Thirteen I didn't get too so I kind of just had to kind of go off some notes that I had for that chapter. But I really appreciate you guys joining me for this Wednesday service show. And I just want to say, continue to comment on Spotify and also leave reviews on Apple.

It's really important for cult conspiracy, for Jonathan and Jacob and if we want to keep this show on the air, and I want to keep this Bible study going. I want to finish the whole Bible with you guys, and hopefully we can read the Bible again. I want to keep it on as long as possible, So continue to please comment. And if you listened all the way through, comment below that you finished the whole book of the whole all the chapters that we went over. Just say

I finished Luke thirteen. I went I got to Luke thirteen, all right. And then if you don't want to write anything, you could just put an emoji like a smiley face or a prayer symbol, whatever you want to do. It's much appreciated if you guys leave comments on Spotify, okay, and thank you, And like we always do, we're gonna end this in prayer. So Father God, in the name of Jesus, and you show the Mischiak's name. I ask you, Lord,

to help me focus when I'm studying. Sometimes I'm studying at work and I got all these things happening, and it's it's hard for me to focus, and sometimes I dip into another video, some other video, like you know, some conspiracy videos or whatever. The Lord, just help me focus on the Bible study and focus on your word.

We'll be talking about Deuteronomy, you know, the Book of Deuteronomy, Deuteronomy five on Sunday service, Lord assists me and learning everything I need to know and make sure that I'm spiritually equipped and ready to teach. Lord, please and keep my mind clear of any distractions. And Lord keep my mind able to teach and to preach and whatever the people need. Lord, please provide me with the words to

speak to assist people in their lives. And I just ask that you please assist anybody that is listening that needs you. Lord, it that's on the fence, that's going through alcohol, marijuana, ecstasy, mushrooms, methan feta means cocaine, whatever that people have issues with. Lord, I asked that you break those chains and make it so they're not a slave to that, you know, to any of those drugs.

And I want to pray for my friend. He was asking me about if marijuana is bad, you know, if it's against God and against you, Lord, and I just asked that you show him spiritually, show him through Holy Spirit whether it is or not. I know you want us to be sober, sober minded, be vigilant. And he was telling me he uses it as a as a medicine, you know, for for something that he has. So just to show him if you can, Lord, I'm not going to say any names. You know who it is, and

that gentleman knows who it is as well. So I want to pray for him. And I also I want to pray for any anybody going through lustful desires, Lord, any kind of lustful desires. Lord, I pray for them that you break those chains and and and don't let them be a slave to that anymore. H correct them, correct their path, help them to do your will, and show them the verses that they need to say to resist the devil. We know that if we resist the devil, he shall flee. Lord, give us the Bible verses on

the spot. Let your Holy Spirit speak through us so that we can dodge the wives of the devil or the adversary. Satan has Satan. We want to dodge the wiles of the devil, so help us to do that. Lord, thank you for this platform, thank you for the people that are listening, and thank you so much for everything you do for us. We love you in Jesus name. Amen. All right, thank you guys for listening. I appreciate you. Like I said comment below, Sunday service is gonna be awesome.

I can't wait to see you guys there and Wednesday service. Next week. I will be more prepared. I feel like I was this week. It's just very hard. I had a lot of samples I was doing at work, and I have to focus, you know, when I'm doing that, and it's harder to listen to my to pastors preach. But hopefully you enjoyed this week and next week it'll be better. I will do my best. Thank you guys so much. I love you guys, and God bless you.
