Bible before. It's fairly new to me. Besides all the broad strokes and stories I remember from my grandma telling me it's cool going over it from an adult perspective now that I'm thirty eight, just picking it up seriously, Hey man, let's go off all the years dissecting conspiracies. Sam Tripprey really put it well, all conspiracies lead to spirituality. This is true. Thanks Josh. I've been tuning in every Sunday. God bless Gummo's got questions. Thank you so much. I

Aaron once again, Bro, another comment, Let's

go baby, I love it. I know I got two shepsky's their sister's super energetic, but I can't get mad at him because they got baby blue eyes. Dude, My my, my husky that I have has baby blue eyes as well. I mean, I mean gray eyes almost looks like the Game of Thrones characters. I can't read the White Walkers, you know, like her eyes are like gray, dude, but she is beautiful and yeah and uh yeah I can't. I can't get mad at her either. It's very hard. My other dog, my Shepsky, he's out of control. I

think I talked about that on the other show. And I still love him though. He's real, like really good tempered dog, Like it'll come up to you like he's happy, but when you leave him then he's like, Okay, let me just be a psycho and eat everything. So anyways, it's a it's a it's crazy, but more as a as a as a menace to my wife because she has cactus outside and she has a whole bunch of stuff and the dog always does crazy stuff to her. To me, yeah, I just deal with the aftermath of it,

you know. Okay, next, so Aerin, Yeah, much left to you, bro awesome dog. He's always looking forward to Wednesday Sunday shows. Thank you, God bless you and yours. It's really good for us to be going through the Word together. Okay, it's really good for us to do this. Okay. So I appreciate me being able to be on the journey with you, Sean and Sarah. And I'm so happy that that we're able to be

on this journey and this mission. You know, thank God, thank thank the Good Lord that is giving me a voice and a platform to read the Bible to you guys. You know, it's amazing. Stavo. I always see you here. I listened to all the episodes. Thank you, and you know MDMP twenty two. So what I want to say is this the Book of Numbers. I was so exhausted last week when I was doing that that that study.

Thank you guys for sticking with me and sticking through to the end and that is amazing and White Rabbit Podcast, what's up? Brother, Catalyst Jones? Thank you man, you said you made it to the end. Well, big shout out to you too, brother, And I appreciate you, bro, and thank you for the words of encouragement. And I do appreciate that. And like I said, Brad Gillis once again, man, thank you, thank you, thank you. So we are going to be in Mark ten. Okay, so that's gonna be

where we start. Let's go ahead and share. And I got a buttload of energy compared to through Sunday Service, believe me. But I did you know what I mean, I mean, know what I mean. You know what I did though, is I'm covering down because I'm about to become a lead in my job. You know, God is great, Thank you Lord. And that's gonna happen in like June. So I'm basically I'm in production, which means I'm doing like the mental side. You know, it's kind of it's hard.

It's like it's hard on me mentally, right, So you gotta you got a lot of stress and and you got a lot of stuff on you. You know, you're dealing with the system with Skater, with computers, You're you're walking going to each site, taking residuals, doing volume metrics, you know, and I'm also sometimes covering down, like today, I did all that and then I had to cover down on the service crew and help them out, you know, because it's a lot of people are out right now.

So sometimes that happens, and it makes me very, very tired by the time I get to the podcast, which is at nine o'clock at night my time, or nine thirty, and sometimes I'm just I'm beat. So today I feel pretty good, so let's get this show on the road. And it also it's it's, you know, the New Testament.

That's why I know now, I know why pastors have the Old Testament on Wednesday and the New Testament on Sunday, right, because the New Testament to me, is so much easier to teach, and it's so much more relatable for us in this in these times. But the Old Testament is the foundation for why we even need Jesus, right, He's

all over the pages in the Old Testament. So what I would say is, you know, it's I'm gonna honestly admit out loud it's easier and it flows better when I do teach the New Testament, obviously, but you know what you guys could do. You can look forward to next week, right, or you know when I found out when I do some service, get that meat and potatoes and then boom, we get meet potatoes on Wednesday with Wednesday service. So what a blessing it is. So let's

go ahead and get dig into the Bible. Now Mark ten verse one. Marriage and divorce is the subject, okay, So I'm going to kind of go over a few things after we do this. So then he arose, This is going to be Mark ten verse one. Then he arose from there and came to the region of Judea, by the other side of the Jordan, and multitudes gathered to him again, and he was accustomed. He taught them again. The Pharisees came and asked him, is it lawful for

a man to divorce his wife? Testing him? And he answered and said to them, what did Moses command you? They said, Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of divorce to dismiss her. And Jesus answered and said to them, because the hardness of your heart, he wrote you this precept. But from the beginning of creation, God made them male and female. For this reason, a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. So

then they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let not man separate in the house his disciple. Okay, here we go. We'll stop right there. Okay, we're gonna stop at verse six, and we're gonna see what's going on. You know. So some rabbi said you could divorce for bizarre reasons. Now I'm going to my notes now, okay, I'm stopping the uh,

the scripture. So some rabbis said you could divorce for bizarre reasons like burning your dinner, like if a woman burned your dinner, not looking as attractive as when they first when you first met. Some said you have to definitely divorce or some some said some said that you have to have infidelity to divorce. All that was about, uh, you know, interpretation of this word in Deuteronomy twenty four one through five, the word is indecent. Okay, so some

rabbis took that word indecent and made it there. They put their own twist on it? Right, which happens? Right? I mean, there's some people that take scriptures and they create their own doctrine one scripture or one verse, you know. So let's check what this is. This is a Deuteronomy twenty four versus one through five. This is what Moses said about marriage. That way you could see. So what

did Moses command you? Right? If a man marries a woman who becomes displeasing, this is Deuteronomy twenty four verses one through five. If a man marries a woman who becomes displeasing to him because he finds something indecent about her, and he writes her, and he writes her a certificate of divorce, gives it to her, and sends her from

his house. And after she leaves his house, she becomes the wife of another man, and her second husband dislikes her and writes her a certificate of divorce, gives it to her and sends her from his house. Or if he dies, then her first husband, who divorced her is not allowed to marry her again after she has been defiled. That would be detestable in the eyes of the Lord. Do not bring sin upon the land. The Lord, your

God is giving you as an inheritance. If a man has recently married, he must be sent to war or have any other duty laid on him for one year. He is to be free to stay at home and bring happiness to the wife he has married. Let's look up that word indecent, and I want to see what it says in the strongest concordance and find out what that word actually means. Does it mean something like infidelity or adultery or what does it mean in the strongest concordance.

Not saying that the strongest concordance is going to be one million percent correct, but we do like to look at it to see what it says. And that's going to be Deuteronomy. Something indecent. Oh well, and decent is what we have. Let me look in. Decent is what we have in the new King James. When he has taken a man a wife and married her, and it came to pass that no, she found favor in his eyes because he had uncleanliness. Okay, okay, so excuse me, ah,

excuse me, still getting over that cold from last week. Okay, So it's hard for me to look this up because they changed it. When a man hath married taken a woman, and it came to pass that she found no favor in his eyes because he has found some uncleanliness. That's the word. Sorry, I appreciate, I mean, I apologize. That's the word I'm looking for, not favor. Okay. It says nakedness, nudity, shame, pouenda, poenda implying shameful exposure, nakedness of a thing in decency,

improper behavior, expose, undefended. Okay, So that is the word nakedness. Oh, it's the same as him the father of Canaan saw the nakedness of his father. Oh that's what it was, Okay, something that's in decent and it is a thing in decency and proper behavior. So it doesn't have to do

with her cooking em dinner wrong. It doesn't have to do, according to the strong, coordinates with him being you know, thinking that she doesn't look the same as when he first met her, or she's she's kind of being naggy. That's not what it means. It means infidelity, according to the strong accordance, and probably according to some of these lexicons too. I'd have to check, but yeah, uncleanliness is

the word that's used. So that doesn't mean uncleanliness like, hey, she doesn't clean the dishes, Okay, it means that she was defiled like infidelity. That's that's more what it means. So if so, even back then, it's even saying that

in Deuteronomy twenty four, verses one through five. Right, So what I say is like when God says this, this is what's something that passed passor Raoul Reese used to say at Calvary Chapel Golden Springs when I went there, he says, when you get married, you're like two boards that get glued together, right, you're glued together, not now you become one and when you divorce, you pull those pieces of wood apart and they splinter. Now you can't

put those back together. Right. So when you try to take that man and he divorces that woman, the one that he was one with at once, and then you try to glue to another piece of wood, it doesn't go the same. It's not going to be flush like you were with that woman that you became one with, you see what I mean. And then it splinters off the family and causes massive issues with the kids. It causes massive issue with you because you divorce your wife.

What happens now you only get the kids on the weekend, or she gets a kid on the weekend. Now you go, You're fighting with this woman the rest of your life. She's still involved in your life for the rest of your life because you both have kids together. Even though you're not together anymore, You're gonna be seeing her with another man. You're probably gonna be feeling some type of way about that, probably be arguing with her, arguing with her new man. And then you got this new man

taking care of your kids. Do you see why this could be a problem. And if you are divorced, I'm not judging you. What I'm doing is my job is to teach and then preach. So I'm teaching the scriptures of what Jesus is saying, and I'm trying to preach to, you know, the ones that are maybe not married yet, maybe they haven't gotten married yet, maybe they haven't met that one, you know. But but it's it's you know,

it's a lot. And if you have been divorced, you can understand what I'm saying, and you understand why Jesus would say this because it causes so much. Now, if you're being abused in a relationship if somebody is going out on you and keeps going out on you, going out on you. And I'm completely understanding all this, but it's my job to read the scripture and try to interpret what Jesus is trying to say right here to

these Pharisees, because it doesn't matter what Moses says. I mean, it matters, but who does it matter most what God says? Now God is speaking through Moses, yes, but who does it really matter? It matters what God says. And when it talks about creation right here where it says God made male and female for this reason, a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. This is God speaking because this is a first hand count from the

most time. And this is also Jesus speaking God in the flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let not man separate, or you could say, no man separate. So yeah, so I understand though when people get a divorce, and my parents got a divorce and it ruined me because you know it just you get this metal block at the age of fourteen, and it just maybe go sideways smoking weed part. I went from a sports star to smoking weed, rapping, going to clubs, doing coke, doing this,

and just going crazy for a long time. And it was hard to get my life back on track. And I didn't get my life back on track. Believe me, God got my life back on track. Okay, So I want to go over like some statistics. Okay, about divorce. It's very important. So marriage vows are as long as we both shall live till death do us art. We ain't going to separate unless we die. I just wanted to point that out. But in the United States in

nineteen ten, the divorce rate was ten percent. Why Well, in nineteen ten, the Bible was being taught in schools. The Bible was being taught. The government was probably still very corrupt, but they weren't pushing to get Bibles out of school. There wasn't a bunch of people, you know, you know, did I live in nineteen ten, No, But I know that there was more. The scriptures were way more prevalent. Okay, they were not being pushed out of schools, right,

That's just an example. In nineteen forty eight, the divorce rate was about twenty five percent. Nineteen ten, it was ten percent nineteen forty eight, twenty five percent jumped up. Okay, and then statistics in twenty twenty two, fifty percent of married couple's divorce the sixth highest divorce rate in the world. Subsequent marriages have even higher divorce rate. Sixty percent of second marriages and in divorce and seventy three percent of

third marriages end up in divorce. You would think that three times as a charm. It's not how that sounds like? Geez. So what I want to tell you guys, Okay, that's twenty twenty two. There's probably more recent things, but you know, I pulled up some notes. Okay, So my point is what is happening. Well, there's a few things that happen. If you notice, in nineteen forty eight, there was no Instagram, there was no Facebook, no TikTok, no internet. So what

are some of these things that are causing divorces? You know, Well, they created Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, all these different apps. They created the World Wide Web in between that time. Now people can talk to someone in Spain, Germany wherever. I mean I could zoom like right now, I mean I could zoom somebody like I do on my show in Bangladesh. Whatever, it doesn't matter. You can talk to anybody you know. So it's one thing. Obviously, pornography is a major problem.

Even in Christian men. It is a major problem. So we have that going on. You got people going to the gym in fidelity, you got people even in churches sometimes. I mean, you work with people, and you know, the best thing you could do if you are if you're a If let's say you're a Christian and you and you like to work out of the gym, clear out your garage and build a gym in your garage, you will have no temptation. All you'll be staring at is your own arms. I have laugh at my own jokes.

I'm by myself, right, It's just funny. My wife laughs at me because I tell her that, yeah, you have nothing to look at, but you're what you're ugly not seeing you guys are ugly, but you know my ugly face. I'm just sitting there lifting weights the whole time. And and then you listen to pastors preach you got no temptation. The Devil's like, dang it, I can't send any woman in there besides his wife. Yeah, that's exactly what you're

supposed to do. So if you work out and you're having a problem at the gym, LOOKI lou, Oh, what do you do? Spend one thousand dollars and get a Marcie Diamond Elite. It's got all the cables and everything you can do squats. It costs one thousand dollars. Would you pay a thousand dollars to save your relationship? I would? You see what I mean? So, I just think it's

vastly important for us to know our weaknesses. Okay, And if you have an issue with flirting with women, talking to women, or talking to men, flirting with men, you have to stop because what you're doing is you're giving the devil a little wedge and he's just hitting it further and further in. When you give him a little wedge, he's gonna hit that thing in between your relationship and

cause a wedge between you and your spouse. And if he can hit that wedgend far enough and you keep doing these little things, what's gonna happen is those little things turn into something and then you start messing up on your spouse. And that's why you see divorce rates.

Speaker 2

So high. Okay, Okay, this is called the.

Speaker 1

Clause the oh okay, I think yeah, Matthew nineteen verses three through twelve. I can also read that that is actually going through the same part. Maybe with a little more detail, we could see. Let's see. So I'm gonna read Matthew nineteen verses three through twelve real quick. It says the Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him and saying, unto him, it is lawful? Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? For every cause? And he answered and said, unto them, have you not read?

Have you not made them at the beginning? Made male and female? And said, for this cause shall a man leave a father and mother? And she cleaved to his wife? Or for no more twain but one flesh? What more God hath joined to lot, not let man put us under? Okay, so it's kind of pretty similar to what Mark says, so I really don't need to read that part. So what is sexual immorality in Greek? It's actually poor nia,

it's the it's the it's where we get the word pornography. Okay, So, so sexual immorality is something that we need to stay away from. And also males. If you're in the military like I was, and you think that when you go overseas and that you're depending on pornography or you're depending on that, and you think that that's not cheating, well that is cheating. Okay, that is cheating. Even Jesus says, if you think about another woman, then you have committed

adult treat. So understand that. Because when I was deployed, like in twenty sixteen, and that is two thousand and twenty five. Now that was nine years ago, twenty fifteen, so ten years ago. When I was deployed, I my mind was not right. It was not right, okay, And uh yeah, when what I wanted to bring up you know, I think I already brought this up. Yeah I did bring that part up. I don't need really go over that. But let me ask you guys this, what should a

biblical marriage look like? Okay, what should it look like? We get it right here in a Seasions five twenty one through thirty three. And I also want to go over something else really quick, hold on, uh one Crinthians thirteen four. Sorry, I just wanted to make sure I pulled this up and uh one Corinthians thirteen, verse four, definitely a good verse. So what should a Christian marriage look like? Well, it it happened to be. Paul writes this in Ephesians five. My phone is so funny. Okay,

it's Ephesians five twenty one through thirty three. Okay, I have it written in my notes in the NIV, but I usually like to go to the King James, but NIV. Hey, let's just do it. The new King James what I normally read to you guys out of so this is the NIV. So if it's different than what you're reading your New King James, just you know, just give me some slack because I copy and pasted these pretty fairly quickly. Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. Okay,

submit to one another? Okay, why submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husbands is the head of the wife, as Christ is the head of the Church, his body of which he is the savior. So wife, submit to your husband's Okay. Yeah, that sounds real easy. But when you have a husband that's not loving you like Christ love the Church, then it's not easy to submit. But see, we gotta both. It takes two to tango. If you want your wife to submit to you, you have to love her, and

you also have to be the head of the home. Okay, the spiritual leader of the home, the one that's saying, Hey, we're gonna go to church, or we're gonna do Bible study, or we're gonna listen to the church. Whatever you can do. Whatever. I don't know how it works into your home, but whatever you could do right for the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ is the head of the church, his body of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives

should submit to their husbands and everything. Husbands love your wives, now listen. If you love your wife, truly love your wife, then then it's it's a lot easier. Now, let me

tell you guys that are young before I get into this. See, if you know all this information going into a marriage, you're not gonna have all these things in your past that causes issues that come up because you're gonna already be smart and intelligent and you're gonna handle your marriage in a loving way, and you're gonna handle it and

love your wife like Christ love the Church. If you know all these verses in your and your saved before you get married, then you're gonna know how to treat your woman, and then it's gonna be easier for her

to submit. But when you have all these things in your past where you did all these things that were rotten and bad to each other, and you've been through all these things like me and my wife have been through, and probably you guys have been through, and you see, it's a little harder for her to trust you as a spiritual leader because look at all the things you did in the past. See, everybody that I teach to has never seen my past, but oh I do. I'm

honest and upfront about it. But my wife, she's been with me for almost seventeen years. She's seen everything from the good, from the bad to the good. And now obviously she's way happier with me. She loves everything right now. But what I would say is, when Paul is talking here, he's this is not impossible. These are not impossible tasks. This is what Christians, this is how a Christian marriage

should look. Let's continue. Just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy what did he do? He died on the cross for us to make us holy. I say that all the time with the Book of Leviticus, it's all about being set apart to make you holy. Jesus died on the cross to make us holy. That's how much he loves us. Are you willing to put your life on the line for your wife? Now? I'm willing to put my life on the line for this country. I was in the

United States military, all right. I was in the army. Am I willing to put my yes right now? Yes? And every time your wife gives birth for you, she's putting her life on the line every time because she loves that child like Christ loves the church. We gotta love each other like Christ loved the church. Okay, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, that's what you need to do. And to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or

any other blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. Okay, we sit there, we work out, we do this. We oh man, we freaking cut our nails, we get our haircut. We shave our beard. We try to look all good. Right. Love your wife like you love your own body. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated their own body. But they feed and care for their body as Christ does for the Church, for

we are members of his body. For this reason, a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. Even Paul's talking about it here, this is a profound mystery. But I am talking about Christ and the Church. However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and wife must respect her husband. So what he's telling you here is he's us like he's using like a metaphor for marriage, and like how Christ

love the Church. He's putting both of those in together, which he's so gracefully speaking, and it's amazing. But I just want to tell you guys that, Okay, So that's that's my little section on marriage. Hopefully enjoyed it. And for all my military people that are listening, I don't know if there's anybody that's military. If you are, shout it out in the Spotify comments and say, hey brother, I'm a veteran or whatever dot around the Spotify comments

or dm me on Instagram. But the Spotify comments is good because I see him, I could shout it out and you can hear me kind of shout you out on here. Let's continue, Mark ten. Ten. In the house, his disciples also asked him again about the same matter. So he said to them, whoever divorces his wife and marries another, commits adultery against her. And if a woman divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery. So

they're Jews, right, they're Jewish. So the disciples are like, what do you mean, Like, what did Moses command you? That's what we're supposed to follow the law, right. Jesus is like, listen, let me tell you what's really going on. Right, Okay, let's continue, Mark ten, Verse thirteen. Jesus blesses little children. Then they brought little children to him that he might touch them. But the disciples rebuke those who brought them.

But when Jesus saw it, he was greatly displeased and said to the them, let the little children come to me, and do not forbid them, For of such is the kingdom of God. Surely I say to you. Whoever does not receive the Kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it. And he took them up in his arms, laid his hands on them, and blessed them. So what is it like to have childlike faith? That's what he's saying, same as kids have examples of

childlike faith. Matthew nineteen, Jesus welcomes children to him, saying, let the little children come to me, and do not forbid them. Matthew seventeen. Jesus says, we have faith like a mustard seed. We can move mountains. Matthew eighteen Jesus says that whoever humbles themselves like a child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. And childlike faith is a humble, unpreti ventuous faith that trust in God. It's

characterized by openness, honesty, and joy. It's also a willingness to put aside one's will and to learn and grow. So taking all your preconceived biases that you've learned from the world and setting him aside, and just come in like a child. Whenever you read the Bible, come in like a child. Because all these theologians and people in school and elementary school and high school and college and all this worldly things that you learn, and then you

go to try to read the Bible. That's the world, right, It's the Word versus the world. So come to the Bible like a child, an innocent child. Come to the Word. Come to God with childlike faith. Childlike faith is a way of trusting in God, similar to how a child trusts their parents, like there's a certain thing like let's say I hand my daughter to somebody that they don't know, they're gonna data datta. You know, mama, mama, you see, because they have a child like faith in their parents.

They know you, and they love you, they trust you, and they have total faith that you're gonna take care of them. That's the same kind of faith we need to have with God. With man, nothing is possible, but with God, all things are possible. Ad meant to that. Okay, let's uh okay. So it's a way of receiving God's gift. In Christ, kids receive gifts with such joy, right they do they they receive they receive gift with such joy. Right,

So we need to be the same way. We're saved by grace through faith, For it is a gift of God, not of yourselves, not by works, so that no man shall boast. Okay, so kind of the same thing. So let's continue. Jesus counsels the rich young ruler. Now he is going out on the road. One came running and knelt before him and asked him, good teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit internal life. So Jesus said to him, why do you call me good? No one is good, but one that is God. You know

the commandments. Do not commit adultery, do not murder, do not still, do not bear false witness, do not defraud God. Honor your father and your mother. And he answered and said to him, teacher, all these things I have kept from my youth. Then Jesus looked at him, loved him, and said to him, one thing you lack, go your way. So whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Come take up the

cross and follow me. But he was sad at this word and went away, sorrowful, for he had great possessions. And just because Jesus lists the commandments, he's not doesn't mean that you can make it to heaven by following the commandments. Okay, what he was doing, he was noticing that this young man came up to him and wanted him like he wanted to show him, like, hey, I've

been following all the commandments, which Jesus knows that he hasn't. Okay, if you love your neighbors, you love yourself, then what you would do if you see other people struggling, is you would sell all those possessions, or sell at least some of them. But he's saying to sell all of them, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, take up the cross, and follow me. So he's like telling him to sell all those possessions, like, right, do all that right now, and then you can follow me in

my ministry. Right, become a disciple, he answered, and said him, teacher, all these things that I've kept from my youth, which Jesus knows that he hasn't. Okay, this guy's coming up to Jesus with this saved by works attitude. And also Jesus hasn't died on the cross yet, right, So following the law is what they did back then. But you know they weren't saved by that. Their stays still saved by grace and they still had to do sacrifices because nobody

can follow the law one hundred percent. Real quick, we'll look at Romans three, verses nineteen through twenty. Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. So the law is meant to show you, to make you feel or know that you're sinning. Right. Therefore, by the deeds of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight. For by the law is the knowledge of sin.

So yeah, it's giving you knowledge that you're sinning, so you know, okay, but it's not saving you. So with this guy, yeah, love your neighbor as you as yourself, as part of the laws. So Jesus is pointing that out to this young man. This is this rich young ruler. Let's check this in our real quick cut taste. Um, let's see this is uh Philippians three, verses nine through eleven. This is something has to do with uh this this portion.

I think it's this one or the next one. Hold on, okay, we'll read it Philippians three, verses nine to eleven and be found in him, not having my own righteous which is from the law. Yeah, this has to do with the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God. By faith, that I may know Him, and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings being conformed to his death. It if by any means, I may attain to the

resurrection from the dead. So that just has to do with the law. I just want to bring that up, all right, So we're going to be in Mark ten, verse twenty three. All with God, all things are possible. Then Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, how hard is it for those who have riches to enter the Kingdom of God? And the disciples were astonished by his words. But Jesus answered again and said to them children, how hard is it for those who trust in riches

to enter the Kingdom of God. It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God God. And they were greatly astonished, saying among themselves, who then can be saved? But Jesus looked at them and said, with men, it is impossible but with God. For with God, all things are possible. So let me just give you, guys an example of what's what I would say, you know, spirits that you could take from this.

So when let's say, you know me, at this moment right now, am I rich? I feel like I'm rich. I'm not rich in money, but I'm rich and you know, I'm in love with my wife. I'm rich. I have three kids. That makes me rich. And the main thing is I am close to God. That's what makes me feel rich inside. You know, it gives me joy, it gives me peace. Now, all of a sudden, you know, I go and buy a lottery ticket. I went two

hundred million. So let's say I'm a millionaire. Now, you know, you just open up the floodgates for sin to travel into your life so much. Do you understand why. Let's say you buy yourself a Ferrari, Lamborghini, maybe Porsche, whatever, and you just go to get gas and you're in a you know whatever, you buy like one of the new sports cars. Whatever. You know. Let's say that you're just into that. The temptation is gonna be way more.

The devil's gonna be able to tempt you so much more because it'll make people women attract it to you more. Or if you're a woman, you know, men attracted to you more, and you're open up the floodgates to temptation. Also, you're opening up the floodgates the temptation. Now, I'm not saying that people shouldn't try to become you know, shouldn't try to have money or anything like that. All I'm doing is giving you, guys a few examples of what

I'm seeing. You know, what happens is when you have earthly possessions and you buy all these things, you know, the cars, the houses, and then you know, you got the friends coming over. You're trying to keep up with the joneses, you know, all that stuff. It's it's hard to have room for loving God so much. Not saying that every rich person's going to hell or every rich person's filled with sin. No, if they've been rich their whole entire lives, then it's probably no big deal to them.

But all I'm saying is Jesus is saying this. It's easier for a camera to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God. You can understand why, because the floodgates open when you can buy whatever you want. You could travel wherever you want to go. Uh. Some people that are that are that are rich. The man is working like all the time, uh, business trips all the time. The temptation is black God, the devil is blasting them

with temptation. The woman's at home alone all the time because the husband's always working, flying on jets doing all this stuff, and the women's at home. The temptation is blasting at them at all the time. They're working out of the gym. Oh hey, my husband is out of town all the time, and oh it starts talking to some dude about whatever she's going through. You see what I mean. So it just opens up the floodgates. And

that could happen with poor people too. But what I'm telling you is I can kind of see why because if I would have became a secular rapper and I had millions and millions of dollars and I was on tour all the time, dude, the floodgates would open. Cocaine, drugs, women, all this stuff all the time, every single and then just some people are doing things to become rich that are arable. They are stepping on top of people, they're toppling over people for them to get to that position.

So that's another thing. And they're doing it for greed, you know. Oh you know what, give me one second, I gotta plug this way. Looks like my computer was not plugged in. Good thing that didn't go out. So now you can understand what I mean. So, is there a lot of temptation for people that are poor. Of course, there's a lot of gang bangers, there's a lot of people that are drug addicts. There's a lot of people that are that are that are struggling, that are probably

disliking their situations. So it makes them dislike the Bible or maybe dislike God, you know, and whatever because they're blaming stuff on God. So yeah, I understand. But Jesus is just pointing this out because if you love something more than God and they're not putting God first, like your money, your riches, your greed, your fame, your job, your business, whatever you're putting God on the back burner,

then you know you're not putting God first. You need to put forth the Kingdom of Heaven first, you know. So I think that's mostly what he's saying here will continue. That's why it's saying with men it is impossible, but with God. But for with God. But not with God, it says, but not with God. For with God all things are possible. Let's continue, Mark ten, verse twenty eight. Then Peter began to say to him, see, we have left all and followed you. So Peter always does this,

he always, he does this all the time. I think we were talking about it on the last show, where Jesus always has to check Peter. My friend was asking me, oh, somebody who was asking me about if John was still alive, you know, and I had to kind of go through that with them, but go good. But I was telling him, yeah, Peter always gets checked. And you see Jesus actually checking Peter right there, right here. So it says then Peter said to him, see, we have left all and followed you. Right.

So Jesus answered and said, surely, I see to you. There's no one who has left house or brothers or sisters, or father or mother or wife, or children or lands for my sake and the gospels who shall not receive one hundred fold now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children in lands with persecutions and an age to come eternal life. But many who

are first will be last. And I'll tell you this right here, actually is there's a parable in the book of Matthew that we went over that kind of explains this portion right here. It's the parable of the vineyard to you twenty verses one through six. For the Kingdom of Heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard. Now, when he had agreed with the laborers for a dinaris

a day, he sent them into his vineyard. And he went out about the third hour and saw others standing idle in the marketplace, and said to them, you also go into the vineyard, and whatever is right I will give you. So they went again. He went out about the sixth and ninth hour and did likewise. And about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing idle, and said to them, why have you been standing idle all day? They said to him, because no one hired us.

He said to them, you also go into the vineyard, and whatever is right you will receive. So, when evening had come, the owner of the vineyard said to a steward, call the laborers and give them their wages, beginning with the last to the first. And when those came who were hired about the eleventh, they each received a dinaris. But when the first came, they supposed that they would

receive more, and they likewise received each a dinars. And when they had received it, they complained against the landowners, saying, these last men have worked only one hour, and he made them equal to us. We have borne the burden and the heat of all day. He answered one of them and said, friend, I am doing you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a dinaris? Take what is yours and go your way. I wish I give you. I wish to give to this last man,

the same as to you. Is it not lawful for me to do what I wish with my own things? Or is it? Or is your eye evil? Because I am good? So the last will be first and the first last. For many are called, but few are chosen. So that's the part it says, for you know us, so the last will be first and the first will be last. I noticed that he said that here, So

I kind of connected these two dots. So That's an example of somebody that at eighteen has been following the Lord their whole entire life, you know, doing all these works and everything they could do. And you know that they believe Jesus. They believe that, you know one Corinthians fifteen, Verses one through four. They believe Jesus died on the cross rose again. They have faith in Jesus, you know, and you know they go their whole entire lives and

then what do they do. They end up in the Kingdom of heaven, right, and then somebody is on their deathbed, a murderer whatever and or whatever. Like let's say a prisoner in jail, like lived his whole life on skid row, doing drugs, hero in, uh, doing all this crazy stuff. And then you know, he ends up in prison. He's in his seventies, he's you know, he's gonna die in prison because he's spending life and murder or life in prison or something. It's just an example of all to see.

But and then you know he's going to pass away soon and he gets saved by the Lord. He gets saved and he ends up you know, uh, loving God. Believe in Corinthians verse Corinthians fifteen, verses one through four. Uh, called out to the name of Jesus, believes John three point sixteen. He has faith in the Lord, faith in Jesus, you know, all this stuff, right, and then he ends up dying, you know, three weeks later he ends up in heaven. So the first will be last, the last

will be first. So and then you end up in heaven with this person. And you're like, Charlie, I can't believe you made it. Charlie. I spend my whole life praise to the Lord, doing to spend the Gospel, doing all going to all these different events and conferences and this and that, and I did all this stuff for God. And you're here too. I thought I didn't even I would ever even thought did you go to prison? You see, there's gonna be people in heaven that we will just

be so surprised to see. But it all is up to God. You see. That's why he says, this is my stuff. I could do what I want with this because it's mine, not mine, but you know it's his, It's God. So he is the owner of the vineyard. And that's that's what's happening in this. Uh. This is just a powerful thing to know. Now, do you want to be that person that's last and then die before you never know? Especially right now? Man, there's man, it's very tough because you don't want to just be waiting

and waiting and waiting to get saved. And you know, I just want to keep partying. I want to keep this, I want to keep the women, I want to keep this, and then whatever. I don't want to keep doing that and then you die before you get saved or something. You know, it's definitely not what Jesus is trying to say here. He's just saying that exactly what I explained, you know. So let's continue Mark ten, verse thirty two. Now they were on the road going to Jerusalem, and

Jesus was going before them, and they were amazed. As they followed, they were afraid. Then he took the twelve aside again and began to tell them the things that would happen to him. And if you notice, Jesus is walking ahead of them. They're on the road going to Jerusalem, right, so they're walking a little slower. Jesus is walking ahead. Jesus was going before them. They were amazed, and as they followed him, they were afraid, and he took the twelve a side and began to tell them the things

that would happen to him. Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes, and they will condemn him to death and deliver him to the gentiles. They will mock him and scoorge him, and spit on him and kill him. And on the third day he will rise again. Praise God that he rose again. Right, that's it. It all depends on him rising again that way. That's how you know. Jesus is who he says he was.

Ah greatness is serving. Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to him and saying, Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we We want you to do for us, whatever we ask. And he said to them, what do you want me to do for you? And they said to him, grant us that we may sit one on your right hand and the other on your left, in your in your glory. But Jesus said

to them, you do not know what you ask. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with they said, we are able, just just nonchalant. Right. Also, they think that Jesus is going to have a heavenly kingdom and they're going to be able to reign with him. What they don't understand He's having a heavenly kingdom and they're not worthy to be on the right hand of him. Jesus is God in the flesh. They don't, they don't,

they don't get that. I think Thomas gets it when Jesus is resurrected and he says, my Lord, my God. I think he gets it. I think they start kind of getting it, you know, especially when he resurrects. They're like, whoa, Especially when he comes back and then there's people coming out of the graves and in appearing to them. I mean, that's I'm just saying. They're not understanding though, granteds that we may sit one on your right hand the other

on your left in your glory. That's what they're looking for. They want his glory. They want that. Jesus saying, you don't know what you asked, Like, do you want to go and get crucified for everybody's sins? Do you want all that, No, you ain't ready to drink from this cup. And he knows what he's up to, and he just got done explained, and then what's gonna happen to him? And they're over here asking him that, and then Jesus

then they said to him, we are able. Let's go to we'll continue in verse thirty nine, Mark ten, Verse thirty nine. So Jesus said to them, you will indeed drink the cup that I drink, and with the baptism I am baptized. With you will be baptized. But to sit on my right hand and on my left is not mine to give, but it is for those for whom it is prepared. I would say that God the Father would choose that right. So it seems like. And when the ten heard it, they began to be greatly

displeased with James and John. But Jesus called them to himself and said, you know that those who are considered rulers over the gentiles lord over it. Those who are considered rulers over the gentiles lord it over them. And they're great ones exercise authority over them. Yet it shall not be so among you. But whoever decides to become great among you, shall be your servant. Whoever you desire to be the first, shall be a slave of all.

For even the son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give his life a ransom for many. So they want to be great on earth. They want to be great, they want glory. But Jesus is saying that, for even the son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many. So they're not understanding what Jesus is just twoing here. He's like, I'm not here to have a kingdom on earth. This doesn't matter to me. It's the kingdom in heaven.

And they're not understanding that spiritual aspect of it. And Jesus is here to be a servant, not a king ruling on a throne on earth. But yeah, he's the king of king, lord of lords in heaven, yes, but not an earthly kingdom like they think. And in Matthew, the mom gets involved and starts asking them, asking Jesus, Jesus healed blind bartimaas Now this is going to be Mark ten, verse forty six. Now they came to Jericho as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and

a great multitude. Blind Bartimaas, the son of tamuse Temius, not tamuz Temius, sat by the road begging, and when he heard that it was Jesus and Nazareth, began to cry out, saying, Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me. Then many warned him to be quiet, but he cried out all the more, son of David, have mercy on me. So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. And then they called the blind man, saying to him,

be of good cheer. Rise he is calling you, and throwing aside his garment, he rose and came to Jesus. So Jesus answered and said to him, what do you want me to do for you. The blind man said, Raboni, that I may receive my sight. And Jesus said to him, go your way. Your faith has made you well. And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road. So you could imagine somebody that's been blind their whole life, and Jesus comes and and he says, your faith made

you well, and immediately his sight received his sight. Man, So it's so powerful right. I mean, that's powerful, that's that's amazing. So let's go to Mark eleven and let me go to my notes. So this is the Triumphal entry,

is what it's what the title is. So now, when they drew near Jerusalem to Bethage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives, he said two of his disciples, and he said to them, go into the village opposite you, and as soon as you have entered it, you will find a cult tide on which no one has sat. Loose it and bring it. And if anyone says to you, why are you doing this, say the Lord has need of it, and immediately he will send it here. So just so you know, I will stop there real quick.

We're gonna come back at verse four when I come back. But let's go to our notes real quick. So coming on a donkey, right, So donkey means that he's coming in peace. Riding a horse when they come into town is more like someone's coming for a war or you know, for problems. So Jesus on a colt. Okay, a colt can be a donkey. A colt can be a young male donkey that is under four years old. The term cl can also refer to a young male horse, pony

or mule. Excuse me, just so you know, Okay, Now, what I think is fascinating is that when he comes into town with this triumphal entry, he's riding a donkey. Right. But when he comes back in Revelation nineteen verses eleven through sixteen, what does he come on? Let's read it now. I saw heaven opened and behold a white horse. He's coming on a white horse, right, not a donkey next time.

And he's he who sat on him, which capital H is going to be Jesus right, who sat on him was called faithful and true, and in his righteousness he judges and makes war. You understand. You see that the difference here, You see that he's making war. He's coming on a horse. But back then on the triumple and mark eleven, he's going to be coming in on a donkey.

He's coming in peace, he's a servant. But when he comes in Revelation, he's going to be on a pale white horse, and he's ready for what he's ready to judge, make war. Let's go back to Revelation nineteen eleven through sixteen. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except himself. He has clothed with the robe dipped in blood. His name is called the Word of God. Okay that his name is called the

Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed and fine linen, white and clean, followed him on white horses. He's ready for war. He's ready to judge. Now out of his mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it he should strike the nations, and he himself with rule with a rod of iron. He himself threatned, treads the wine press of the fierceness and wrath of almighty God. He has his robe and on his thigh a name

written King of kings and Lord of lords. The whole point of me reading that to you is when he comes into the city as the Messiah, the Christ, he's coming in peace, right, But when he comes back, he's riding a horse. So just want to let you guys know that andem and this whole prophecy about him coming in on a donkey, it's been prophesied in Zachariah nine, verses nine through ten. Let's read that real quick Rejoice greatly, O, daughter of Zion, Shout, O, daughter of Jerusalem. Behold, your

king is coming to you. He is just and having salvation lowly, and riding on a donkey, a colt, and a foul of a donkey. I will cut off the chariot from Ephrium and the horse from Jerusalem. The battle boat shall be cut off. He shall speak peace to the nations. His dominion shall be from sea to sea, and from river to the ends of the earth. Okay, let's continue with Mark four. But that's that's a great prophecy of Jesus coming riding on a donkey right there. Okay,

so let's continue Mark eleven, verse four. So they went their way and found the colt tied to the door outside on the street, and they loosened it. But some of those who stood there said to them, what are you doing loosening the colt? And they spoke to them

as Jesus had commanded. So they let them go, and they brought the cult to Jesus and threw their clothes on it, and he sat on it, and many spread their clothes on the road, and others cut down leafy branches from the trees and spread them on the road. Then those who went before and those who follow cried out, saying, Hosannah blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord Blessed is the kingdom of our father David, that comes in the name of the Lord Hosannah in

the highest Hosannah, son of David. They were calling him the Messiah, and Jesus didn't correct them. Often Jesus would quiet those that were claiming that he was the Messiah before, you know, because what happened is the demons, right They like when he would cast out demons, they'd be like, Son of God, what do you want with me? And he would say, sh quiet, It wasn't time for it to be revealed. But this is the revealing right here of Jesus, you know, okay, with people saying that he's

the Messiah, you know, that's what's happening. And this event was actually prophesied Jesus writing coming on at a donkey and and all this, this whole part right here is actually prophesied in the Book of Daniels six hundred years

before this event. Daniel prophesied about this event. And this actually if you take and you you do, let's say you do you go on the calendar and you there's people that are way smarter than me that have done this, you know, And they counted up the exact time and everything, and it came to thirty two AD, which is exactly this moment. And this is Daniel nine twenty five. Okay, this is this is the prophecy six hundred years before

this event actually happened. And it is it says, know therefore and understand that going that from the going forth of the command to restore the and build Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince, there shall be seventy weeks and sixty two weeks, seven weeks and sixty two weeks the streets shall be built again the wall, even in troublesome times. So this is a prophecy of Jesus of this right here, you know. And what I'd say is the seven the seven weeks and sixty two weeks that's actually going to

be converted to years. And there is a depending on your eschatology, whether there's sixty nine weeks and then that one week is going to be you know, the seven year tribulation just depends on our eschatology. But just want to let you guys know that okay, And uh so it says, let's see where this is, because this is quoted from somewhere Blessed John three third. I wanted to see if so that's Mark eleven nine through ten, which

we read, where is it coming from? Is it in the I just want to check this out, Okay, guys, Hosanna bless us he who comes in the name of the Lord, We jose a greatly daughter of Zion. Shout o, daughter of Jows, and behold your king is coming to Okay, writing a donkey, we already kind have talked about that. That's what Sunday is. To reflect the palms on your preprayed hearts will do, Okay, all right, I just want to go over that, Okay. So what they're saying here

is that he is the Messiah. Okay, that he is the Christ, and he's okay with it. But I'm sure the religious leaders were going getting furious at this. Okay, my dogs are barking in the background. Hey, Aaron, what's up, brother? See that's the dogs. H and Jesus. Okay, we'll go back to Mark eleven eleven, and Jesus went into Jerusalem and into the temple. So when he had looked around at all the things. As the hour was already late, he went out to Bethany with the twelve the fig

tree withered. Now the next this is going to be Mark eleven, verse twelve. Now the next day, when they had come out from Bethany, he was hungry and seeing from afar a fake tree having leaves, he went to see it, perhaps he would find something on it. When he came to it, he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. In response Jesus. In response, Jesus said, let no one eat fruit from

you ever again. And his disciples heard it. So he found nothing but leaves, for it is not the season for figs. And response Jesus said, let no one eat fruit from you ever again, and his disciples heard it. Wow. On the next day he went and came out to beth and he was hungry and seeing it from far at fig tree having leaves, he went to see perhaps he would find something on it. When he came to it,

he found nothing. Believes, I'm not sure what's happening here, but maybe Jesus was expecting fruit there and then saying that no one will eat fruit from you ever again, maybe he has the obviously he has the power to control whether the fruits come or not. It's very just interesting passes there. Then Mark put in there, Jesus cleanses the temple. Let's go ahead and read this. This is a kind of fascinating. And some people wouldn't expect this

type of behavior from Jesus, right. They would say that Jesus is only filled with love, and that he is different than the God of the Old Testament. Some people try to say, but we'll see what happens when you disrespect a place of prayer. So Jesus cleanses the temple. So they came to Jerusalem. Then Jesus, this is going

to be Mark eleven fifteen. So they came to Jerusalem, and Jesus went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in the temple, and over turned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. And he would not

allow anyone to carry where's through the temple. And then he taught, saying to them, is it not written my house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations, But you have made it a den of thieves, and the scribes and the chief priests heard it and sought how they might destroy him, for they feared him because all the people were astonished at his teachings. When evening had come, he went out of the city. So let's go ahead and see what's going on here. So so

what's happening here? Then Jesus went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. It says, my house shall not be called the house shall be called the House of Prayer for all nations. But you have made it a dentity. So what was happening is right in front of the temple, they made it like some kind of marketplace, okay. And what that portion was for

was supposed to be a house of prayer. It was supposed to be where the gentiles came. And that's why it says the House of Prayer for all nations. And what was happening is the gentiles would come from far away, and they would not want to bring an animal all that way, so they would come and they would purchase an animal and they would take it into the temple and these priests were saying, oh, there's a blemish on this one, you need to buy another one. They would

go and buy another one. And it says the money changers. The reason why it says that is because these people would be coming with money from like, you know, another country, and then they would have to exchange the money into temple money. So that's what was happening there. So that's what that The priests were basically saying, there's a blemish on this lamb, I need you to buy another one. They would have to buy another one. There was money exchanging.

There was a lot of thievery happening, and a lot of things that Jesus was not happy with. And Jesus knows. Jesus understands what's happening, and he can see your heart and he noticed that they were doing wrong. And he's saying, is it not written my how house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations? But you have made it a den of thieves. Okay, he's calling them out. And it says that he overturned the tables, which means he is upset flipping the tables Joel Oldstein. You see

a lot of you other prosperity gospel pastors. Hey, you see like it's the prayer or that the church is not meant for you to become financially wealthy. And you know, you guys got to understand that. I'm not trying to I'm not going to sit here talk about that, but this is really reminds me of this part. Pastors like that, Let's continue the lesson of the withered fig tree. So now we actually get that part explained because I didn't

understand what was happening there. Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from its roots, and Peter remembering him, saying, Rabbi, look the fig tree which you cursed, is withered away. So Jesus answered and said to them have faith in God. For as surely I say to you, whoever says to this mountain be removed and be cast into the sea. And it does not doubt, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes those things he says will be

says will be done. He will have whatever he says. Therefore, I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe when you receive them, and you will have them. So obviously this passage is Jesus speaking to his disciples first of all, right, but it does say, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain. So if we had true faith like Jesus has, why he's living on earth. Obviously he came from the Father. He knows for a fact that God is real, so his faith is. And

plus he is God in the flesh. So obviously his faith as a man is going to be better than everybody on earth. So if he says, mountain move, it's gonna move. But see it says, but does not doubt in his heart. See, we could say things and then we doubt it. We could say things that we have faith and we actually doubt it. We can ask for things in Jesus's name and we doubt it. We have this little doubt in our hearts, and the devil will expose that to you, and that doubt will turn into

bigger doubt. And you know, it's it's just, it is what it is. But so is it that you anything? You want anything? Well? First John fifteen fourteen through fifteen. Our First John five fourteen through fifteen kind of expounds on this. Now, this is the confidence that we have in him that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of him. So yes, we

will receive them and will have them. But according to John, it's according to his will, God's will. Okay, So good thing that anything you ask for God doesn't give you, because if then I might be dead, because I'm sure women in the past that I've dated probably pray, messed ump, screwed them over, and they probably want to be dead. So let's say they prayed, or I wish him to be dead, Oh, just dead, you know whatever. So you

know it's clarified later that it's whatever. You know, it asks me God's will, right, And Jesus even says in his prayer that your will be done, speaking to God the Father. Right. If it's not in the will of God, it's not gonna happen. Right, So it's even saying that here in one John fifteen or five, fourteenth through fifteen.

Now let's continue. That's good. We might be able to finish. Okay, yeah, all right, let's go Mark eleven, verse twenty five, and whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him or her. Okay, I'm adding that it says forgive him that your father in heaven may also forgive you your trustpass. But if you do not forgive, neither will your father in heaven forgive your trustpasses. So what does that mean? Does that mean that if you don't

forgive your brother that you're going to hell? No, Like, our relationship with God is not based on you know, one time events that we do and then we're like unsaved and then we have to get resaved. No, it's the same thing as like me and my wife, Like if I do something wrong to her, she doesn't divorce me right away. No, if I do something wrong to her then then i'm I'm she Obviously I have to go and apologize to her and then we make up. But we don't. You know, God is not like you

do something wrong to him. You sin, and then God is like boom, You're done, and then you have to like do these works to join his trust again. But you know, your walk with God's going to be little sideways. Your prayer life's gonna be sideways. There's gonna be the things sideways when you sin against God, because it separates you from God when you're not only it separates you from God. Right. But whenever you stand praying, if you

have anything against anyone, forgive him. Right. So, what Jesus is saying here is, how do you expect God to forgive you if you can't even forgive your brother that's on a physical level, like spiritually, how you're supposed to get forgiven if you can't even forgive your brother or sister, right, right, and your truspasses what I thought I think would be like sin against him? Right? And what is this? This

is just straight knowledge on how we should live. Jesus is just telling you just to take away all the bad roots in your heart and all the all the thorns and all all that stuff, all that vinegar, get it out of you. Forgive. We always ask God, you know, we come to God like probably God, in the name of Jesus, please forgive me for my sins in the past, the future, the present. Bring him in the deepest part

of the ocean. Please forgive me. But then all of a sudden, someone you know that you didn't like in the past wherever your haven't forgave them yet and you're still holding a grudge. Just let it go. Let it go. Something that your mom did to you a long time, Let it go, something that your dad did. Let it go, something that someone did to you, and just let it go. Forgive them, Let God handle it. Take all that and put it on the altar, and say, God, you handle it,

because I cannot bear this. I forgive them. Please take all these things that have done to me, and you take it. He is there to receive that stuff and toss it out. You can never change the past, but you can change your future, Okay, So Mark eleven, verse twenty seven. Jesus's authority is questioned. Then they came to Jerusalem. They came again to Jerusalem, and as he was walking in the temple, the chief priest describes, the elders came to him, and they said to him, by what authority

are you doing these things? Who gave you this authority to do these things? But Jesus answered and said to them, I also ask you that one I also will ask you one question. Then answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things. The Baptism of John, Was it from heaven or from then? Answer me? And they reason among themselves, saying, if we say from heaven, we will say when, then when then do you not believe him? But if we say from men? They feared

the people, we're all counted John to have been a prophet. Indeed, for they answered Jesus and said, we do not know. And Jesus answered and said to them, neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things. See, these Pharisees were concentrating on people. They wanted to impress the people. They didn't want to impress God in the flesh, their Messiah, who's standing right in front of them, you see.

You see they didn't want to cause an uproar because all the people were thought that John was a prophet. You see, they're trying to impress the people, and when they're trying to put Jesus in a corner. Okay, they're trying to corner him, But Jesus always has the perfect answers to their questions because he knows before they're even going to ask it, and he doesn't they don't have a right to ask him that question. Anyways. Okay, I think we have about twenty minutes. Okay, yeah, this is

a good uh. We could probably get through Mark twelve. The Parable of the Wicked buying Dressers. This is different than the one that that I read earlier from Matthew. Okay, this is a wicked buying dressers. Then he began to speak to them in parables. A man planeted a vineyard and set ahead around it, dug a place for the wine that built the tower. Then he leased it to

buying dressers and went into a far country. Now at vintage time, he sent a servant to the vine dress that he might receive some of the fruit of the vineyard from the vine dressers. And they took him and beat him, and sent him away empty handed. Again he sent them another servant, and at him. They threw stones, wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully treated. And again he sent another and him. They killed many others,

beating some and killing some. Therefore, still having one son, his beloved, he also sent him to them last, saying, they will respect my son. But those vine dressers said among themselves, this is the heir. Come let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours. So they took him, killed him and cast him out of the vineyard. So the parable was talking about the prophets in the beginning. Okay, the prophets. God sent these prophets, and they took him

and beat him. Send them away empty handed, they said. And then God sent another prophet, and at him they threw stones, wounded in his head. Send them away shamefully again another prophet. They killed them, many others, beating them and killing some. And then all of a sudden God sends his only begotten son, Jesus Christ. Therefore, having one son is beloved, which that's what Jesus is. He also sent him last, saying they will respect my son. But

those vine dressers said among themselves, this is the heir. Come, let us kill him and the inheritance will be our. So they took him and killed him and cast him out of the vineyard. You see, they don't get it with their hard hearts, and that the Jews didn't get it. Why do you think God opened to the gentiles. The Jews never got it. They don't get it to this day. They don't get that Jesus the Messiah, has already came

and that he's coming back. They don't get it to this day, they think that Jesus was just a man that died on the cross and got crucified. That good teacher Rabbi the muslims, ah, he's a prophet. He got taken up to heaven. He's gonna come back. You know, they're not understanding what he is. Jesus has to speak in these parables. Therefore, now I'm back to Mark twelve, verse nine. Therefore, what will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the vine dressers. Watch out,

israel watch out those that are rejecting God. Watch out for those that are that are atheists, and give the vineyard to others. Have you not read the scripture? Now tell me this, what does that mean? Give the vineyard to others. Give it to who gentiles instead of the Israelites? Whoa Have you not read this scripture, which is going to be Psalms one eighteen twenty two through twenty three. The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.

This was the Lord's doing and it and it's marvelous in our eyes, are amazing in our eyes. It's another way to say that that is going to be Psalms one eighteen twenty two through twenty three. I'll read it to you, guys. The stone which the builder's rejected has become the chief cornerstone. This was the Lord's doing. It is marvelous in our eyes. Okay, the cornerstone really interesting.

Where have we heard of a cornerstone before? Well? In Acts four, verses eleven through twelve, Peter's talking about it. He says, this is the stone which was rejected by you, Builthers, which has become the chief cornerstone. Nor is there salvation in any other For there is no other name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Jesus is the cornerstone. Will continue. This is going to

be one Peter two verses four through eight. This is also talking about Jesus being a cornerstone coming to him. This is Peter talking again, Peter coming to him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious you. Also as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifice succeptible to God through Jesus Christ. Therefore, it is also contained in the scripture. Behold, I lay

a Zion. In Zion a chief cornerstone elect precious, and he who believes on him will by no means be put to shame. Therefore, to you who believe he is precious, but to those who are disobedient, the stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone, and a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense. They stumble, being disobedient to the word to which they were also appointed.

So Jesus is that chief cornerstone which they rejected. Oops, I'm sorry, I think it had dropped something grabbed that really quick. All right, here we go. Now we're at Mark twelve versus Verse twelve. Will continue. And they sought to lay hands on him, but feared the multitude, for they knew he had spoken the parable against them. See they knew the Pharisees, the scribes, the statuties. They knew that he spoke that against them. And they left him

and went away. Wow, so that must have enraged them, because now he say that he's he's the he's the Messiah. He's the one that they're rejecting. And they're seeing that he's got quite an audience and quite a following here, and they're doing it again. They're trying to impress men instead of trying to impress God. See their hearts. Mark twelve, verse thirteen. The Pharisees, is it lawful to pay taxes

to Caesar? Before we start, Let's just you know, at this point, you know, in the in the time they have been paying taxes for like twenty five years, some of them didn't feel it was right to pay taxes. Some of them felt like it was okay to pay taxes to Rome. Okay. So it was kind of a hot topic, one of those topics that they're trying to have Jesus slip up right here and cause contention between

him and those that say not to pay taxes. It's like a topic that you know, you stand in a place and start talking about something that's like that's offensive to some and not, you know, to others. So just kind of, like I said, a hot topic, and the Pharisees knew that, and they were like, hmm, we got them. Let's see what Jesus says, Mark twelve, verse thirteen. Then they said to him, some of the Pharisees and Herodians, to catch him in his words. When they had come,

they said to him teacher. We know that you are true and care about no one, or you do not regard this person of men, but teach the way of God in truth. Is it lawful to be taxes to Caesar? Or not shall we pay? Or shall we not pay? But he, knowing that hypocrisy, said to them, why do you test me? Bring me a dinaris that I may see it. So they brought it, and he said to them, whose image and inscription is this? And they said, Caesars.

And Jesus said to them, render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marveled at him. They were amazed at him because of that answer. But you see, like I said, he can. He already knows what to say, and he already knows what they're trying to say. He already knows what their intentions are. He already knows that they're trying to trap him. He already knows the emotions of the Herodians, the Pharisees, the ones that don't want to pay taxes.

He knows. But what he's saying, it's safe for everybody. Render to Caesar things that are Caesar's and to God the things that are God. See, understand that Rome if he starts, if he says not to pay taxes, he could cause an uproar, and he could cause him to die faster than what then what God would want. Also he would be against the Romans, and they would they would probably, like I said, snatch him up way faster.

Another thing that I thought was interesting is we are we are actually, you know, obviously in God's image we are created. He says, whose image and inscription is this? And they said Caesar's and Jesus censors said, rendered caesars and things that are Caesars. I just thought that was interesting. The saddescees, what about the resurrection is the title of this?

This is Mark twelve, verse eighteen, that some sadducees who say there is no resurrection came to him and they asked him saying, Teacher Moses wrote to us that if a man's brother dies and leaves his wife behind and leaves no children, his brothers should take his wife and raise up offspring for his brother. Now that we're seven brothers. The first took a wife and dying, he left no offspring, and the second took her and he died nor did he leave any offspring. And the third likewise, for the

seven had her and left no offspring. Last of all the woman died also. Therefore, in the resurrection when they arise, whose wife will she be? For all seven had her as a wife. So they're trying to give him like a riddle here obviously a whole bunch of information, and the for a regular person. You know, they're trying to make it hard to follow along, right, trying to have him, like I said, they're trying to have him slip up.

And probably because he talked about marriage earlier, they're probably trying to test him again and try to have him slip up and say something wrong. But listen to what Jesus says, Mark twelve, verse twenty four. Jesus answered and said to them, are you not therefore mistaken? Because you do not know the scriptures nor the power of God? But when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.

But concerning the dead that they rise, have not read in the have you not read in the Book of Moses and the Burning Book? But the Burning Bush passage? How God spoke to him saying, I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob. He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living. You are therefore greatly mistaken. So I thought that was pretty interesting. But he's saying that when you're in heaven, your goal is not to get

married and have children. That's what you do when you're on earth. And what he's saying is for when for when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, it says, But concerning the dead, right, So he's saying that the people that are gonna go to heaven, they're not gonna get married and divorce and have children and all this stuff. Okay, this is it's

gonna be different. That's not your goal anymore. But concerning the dead, which are the people that are gonna be going to hell that they rise and have that they rise? Have not have you not read the Book of Moses and the Burning Bust passage how God spoke to him saying, I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob. He is not the God of the dead, which means the people that are going to be in shield or hell. He is not the god of anymore after they die, but God of the living,

which would be us, the body of Christ. You therefore greatly mistake. So at this point, the saddesties that are asking the question, they're greatly mistaken because they're probably gonna be going to hell. So basically, don't even worry about it because he's not the God of the dead, meaning the people that are not saved. Very interesting, Okay, let's

continue Mark twelve, verse twenty eight. Then one of the scribes came, and, having heard from reasoning together, perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, what is the first commandment of all? Jesus answered, the first commandments is here Israel, the Lord, our God. The Lord is won. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with your soul, with all your mind, with

all your strength. This is the first commandment, and the second life it is you shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these. Why because it covers all basis of the ten commandments. Because some of the commandments, like four of them are written to you, are about God. I think that's the first four about God and then the other six or about man like what we do. Right, So that's why it covers all bases. Right.

If you love your neighbor as yourself, are you gonna steal? Nope? If you love your neighbor as yourself, are you gonna kill nope? Our murder nope. Are you gonna commit adultery? Nope? Are you gonna covet your neighbor nope? Are you gonna there's all these things right, And if are you gonna honor your mother and father, Yes, because you're gonna love them like you love yourself. Okay, So there's a whole bunch of stuff in the ten commandments that this is

covering all bases. Right. If you love the Lord thy God with all your soul and your mind, with all your strength, then you're gonna follow all the law, all the ten commandments. Okay. So that's why those two are the greatest of them, because they cover all of the

commandments Mark twelve, verse thirty two. So the scribe said to him, well, teacher, Well said, teacher, you have spoken the truth where there is one God and there is one other, but no other but He, and to love him with all your heart, with all your understanding with all your soul, with all your strength, and to love one's neighbor as oneself is more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices. Now, when Jesus saw they had answered wisely, he said to them, you are not afar

from the Kingdom of God. Right. But after that no one dared question him. Smart Jesus, how can David call his descendant Lord? Okay? So then Jesus answered and said, while he taught in the temple, this is a mark twelve, verse thirty five. Then Jesus answered and said, while he taught in the temple, how is it that the scribes say that the Christ is the son of David? For David himself said, by the Holy Spirit, the Lord said to my Lord, sit in my right hand till I

make your enemies your footstool. Therefore David himself calls him Lord. Who is who is he? Then? His son? And the common people heard him gladly. So if Christ is the son of David, then why is he calling him Lord? The capital l that's what he's pointing out. The Lord said to my Lord, sit in my right hand till I make your enemies or footstool, you see. So how is he then his son? He's not. He's the son of God, not the son of David. And a physical aspect, yes, okay,

he is. He comes through the line of David. But Jesus is always talking about the kingdom of Heaven, talking about the spiritual. So he's saying that David calls me Lord, who is he then his son? No? Okay, Beware of the scribes. A scribe is somebody that copies the scriptures. Then he said to them and his teaching, beware of the scribes who desire to go around in long robes, loved greetings in marketplaces, the best seats in synagogues, and the best places at feast, who devour widows houses and

for a pretense make long prayers. These will receive great condemnation. So that what's happening there is there was pharisees and scribes that like a woman's husband would die, and then they would go in and take this widow's house long prayers, like oh, like sitting there praying and praying and praying just to just to you know, try to impress men. They want the best seats in the synagogue, so they walk in with all the scribes, and you know, they

sit on the best seats. Let's say if they're like either higher up, like in like box seats, like you know when you go to a Lakers game, Like some people are sitting in the box seats, like they're the CEOs and other rich people. We're over here, you know, sitting in the nosebleed section with their nosebleeding, you know. Or there's the rich people sitting in the very front

seat seat. That's what I think he's describing here. They want, Oh, they go around in long robes, love greetings in the marketplace. So they love it when people go, oh, scribe, how are you or whatever, you know, rabbi or whatever. I don't know what they're called, but they love it to receive attention that will receive great condemnation. The Widow's two mites.

This is Mark twelve, verse forty one. Now Jesus sat opposite the treasury and saw how the people put money into the treasury treasury, and many who were rich put in much. The one poor widow came and threw in two mites, which make a quadrants. So we called his disciples to himself and said in the Ma, surely I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury.

For they all put in out of their abundance, but she put out of poverty all she had, her whole livelihood. You see, Jesus is pointing that out. She's poor. She's giving with her heart, she's giving with everything she has. You know, she's coming out of poverty. These rich people they're putting more money in, but they have so much of their abundance that it's nothing to them, you know. Interesting. So, yeah, we finished Matthew twelve. All right, Oh, sorry, we just

finished Mark twelve. We're going to be doing probably thirteen through. Let me see real quick. Oh about taxes. Oops, I forgot to do that. About the taxes thing. You know, Paul speaks about it in Romans thirteen versus six to seven. Before we end, I'll tell you these ones Romans thirteen six or seven, for because of this you also pay taxes. For they are God's ministers, attending continually to this very

thing render. Therefore all they're due taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs fear of whom, fear honor to whom honor. So what I would say is, this is Paul writing to the Romans, right, and he's saying to you know, if you don't pay taxes back, then you become a slave, or they could kill you, or there's a whole bunch of stuff that goes along

with that. So he's saying, for because of this, you may also pay taxes for they are God's ministers attending continuity to this very thing, right, So just want to let you know that. And yeah, so that's mark twelve. That's going to be ending that. I'll stop the screen share if you're watching on the video, and we will pick up next week.
