I mean, honestly, it's just amazing. And my other show, I'm starting to get more motivation. I literally was. I literally was getting to a point where I was feeling I was feeling overwhelmed, you know, because I was doing this show and the Wednesday service and then my show, and it just took
a little bit for me to get remotivated. And I feel like I am remotivated now for my other show. This show I've been motivated. I lose no motivation for this show because this is what I've been driving and living for, teaching the word. Okay, so this show, I am motivated. My other show, I started kind of having it like this, this feeling like, ah man, I've done so much conspiracies already, should I keep going? But it's like, you know what, God is motivating me and giving me
more guests. What can I do? And booked all the way till July. I'm also obviously I'm gonna continue that show. People are hitting me up and I prayed about it and I told God, like, hey, I didn't have anybody booked. Okay. I was to the point where I was like, I'm just gonna continue releasing, you know, my older Sunday service and then maybe start releasing Wednesday service on my show, and just kind of seeing what it's gonna do. And then now now people have been hitting me up and
I'm booked all the way till them with July. So you know, God works in mysterious ways, but it looks like he wants me to continue my Josh Monday Christian conspiracy podcast show. And you know what, we all are human, and we all end up with times of hardship. Sometimes we feel like maybe we're not spending enough time with our kids. I do put a lot of research into this show, Okay. I mean I'm literally putting probably eight hours of research in for the New Testament study, eight
hours of time in the Old Testament study. Yet sometimes maybe sometimes six hours of studying sometimes more, you know, when I'm doing like when I have it like down down, when you guys can hear when I'm on like I'm on it, I probably put in a good eight to ten hours of studying these chapters, you know. So that's the thing, you know, So it takes a long a lot of time, a lot of time, and I just want to make sure that I'm giving time to my children,
time to my wife, and enough time to God. Besides this, you know, we just juggle. But anyways, Hey, I just want to let you guys know I'm motivated, I'm ready to go, and I'm very happy to be here tonight teaching you guys Deuteronomy fourteen. So let's oh, now, I just want to let you guys know some of this stuff. This is this is a sermon from Moses to the people that are going to enter the Promised Land. So
what is what is Moses going to do? He is going to uh reinnerate what the people before, the generation before them already knew, the parents already knew. He needs to reinnerate so that they understand what God wants from them. Obviously, if all the people that were supposed to go to the Promised Land went to the Promised Land, Moses wouldn't have to have this sermon, or maybe he would. Maybe people would be forgetting and maybe he would have to
redo it. I don't know, but he's just making sure that before he passes away he drops all the knowledge on these people that he can all the instruction for them before they enter the Promised Land, so that when he get when he's on his final day, he could say, hey, I was a good faithful servant Lord, you know. And he's just following God's command to do this. So so let's go ahead and read Deuteronomy fourteen, chapter one. You
are the children of the Lord your God. You shall not cut yourselves nor shave the front of your head for the dead. For you are holy people to the Lord your God, and the Lord has chosen you to be a people for yourselves, a special treasure above all people who are on the face of the earth. So why is he telling him this specific command? Well, the
he to be holy means to be set apart. So obviously there's pagans and people like from Egypt and that they that they lived with that are worldly people that we're doing pagan's things. And there's also people in the Land of Canaan, in the land that are about to take over, that are doing pagan practices. So God is telling them the Israelites these commands. Okay, what happens sometimes is we end up reading Deuteronomy and we apply these things to ourselves and say, if this makes them holy,
then this has to make us holy. But see he says it right here, for you are a holy people to the Lord, your God. The Lord has chosen you to be people for your for himself a special treasure above all people who are on the face of the earth. So he is specifically speaking to the Israelites right now, saying, do not shave your head for the dead. What does that? What does that even mean? Well, what's happening back then is these Pagans were shaving their head for the dead,
and he's telling them do not do that. They were also cutting themselves. Does that sound familiar? Yes, right now, there are people and you know what, if you ever had this in the past or anything, I'm not trying to talk bad about you or anything, but it's some people have this problem with cutting themselves. And you see way God was warning them back then. It was even happening back then, you shall not cut yourselves nor shave
the front of your head for the dead. So obviously they were cutting themselves for the dead and shaving the front of their head for the dead. And God wants them to be holy, which means to be set apart from the world, or set apart from the pagans, or are the ones that were worshiping other gods, doing rituals and sacrificing the idols that are not the Lord God Yahweh okay Hua or Yahweh. People pronounce it in different ways,
so that's what was going on there. He is speaking specifically to the Israelites telling him not to do this because the reason why is because the people around them were doing this. Okay, clean and unclean meat, you shall not. This is Deuteronomy fourteen, verse three. You shall not eat any detestable thing. These are the animals which you may eat, the ox, the sheep, the goat, the deer, the gazelle, the road deer, the wild goat, the mountain goat, the antelope,
and the mountain sheep. And you may eat every animal with cloven hooves, having the hoof split in two parts, and that choose the cud among the animals. Nevertheless, of those that chew the cud, of those cloven hoofs, you shall not eat, such as these, the camel, the hair, and the rock high racks, for they chew the cud, but do not have cloven hoofs. They are unclean for you. Also the swine or the pig is unclean for you because it has cloven hoofs yet does not chew the cud.
You shall not eat their flesh or touch their dead carcasses. Okay, let's put a pause there. Okay. Now people are going, oh, what about bacon, what about Vietnamese pork and rice? We love that stuff, you know, people love it, you know, And uh, what I would say to that, I mean, there is health benefits to not eat pig. We've found lately that pigs do not have sweat glands. Okay, So there's a reason why God is telling them not to
eat these animals. Is he telling him not to eat these animals because he wants to make all these rules and he's like, you know, I don't want you to eat these animals because these are the rules that I'm stay Okay, no, because there's something behind each one of
these commandments. Okay. Also, if you don't cook pig all the way, then it could be deadly and back then if they get a disease like that, then you know, you don't have kaiser to go to right away, and they don't have medicine and they don't have ivs in case you get dehydrated, and there is a lot of like disease, and and and if you're if you're not like if you don't have pig like also and some of these other animals stored correctly, it could cause sicknesses
that that are not good. Okay, so I think there's health benefits behind this. Also, the pigs they eat like trash, garbage. I mean, they'll eat anything, you know what I mean. They'll eat the corn that's been on the floor for like months, the late old corn, the eat food, trash, whatever. I don't have picks. I don't know exactly what the e but I'm just saying so am so there's reasons behind this. But uh, you know, I'll just tell you what it
says in Mark seven versus eighteen through twenty three. This is something in the New Testament referring to unclean animals. Okay, so this is uh, let's hold on Mark seven eighteen through twenty three. I just want to pull it up on here because it'll be a lot easier for me to tell if this is Jesus speaking. This is very important. Yeah, it looks like it is, uh, eighteen through twenty three. Let's see, yes, okay, eighteen, yes, Okay, let's read this now.
Mark seven eighteen through twenty three. So he's okay, I'll start from seventeen. Actually, Mark seventeen, seven seventeen, when he had entered a house away from the crowd, his disciples asked him concerning the parable. So we said to them, are you thus without understanding? Also do you not perceive what whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him, because it does not enter his heart but his stomach,
and has eliminated this, purifying all foods. And he said, what comes out of it of a man defiles a man from For from within, out of the heart of a man proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, ludus, and evil eye, blasphemy, pride. All these evil things come from within and defile a man. Okay, So I'll go a little further back, it says Mark seven fourteen. Let
me just read that. He says, when he had called all the multitudes to himself, he said to them, hear me, everyone to understand. There is nothing that enters a man from the outside which can defile him. But the things which come out of him, those are the things that defile the man. If anyone hears to hear, let let
him hear. Which is interesting because on the last month, last week I was talking to you guys, it says here, oh Israel right, So yeah, so Jesus is saying here, what do you not perceive that whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him? Okay, I just want to tell you guys that. So that's what it's saying in the New Testament is Does that mean Jesus is saying, go eat pig? It's no problem. I'm not. He's just
saying that it's not defiling you from the outside. So there's a reason why God is speaking specifically to these is Israelites about this. Now, are we supposed to eat pig? Now? On? I couldn't tell you one hundred percent. Okay, even though some people would say it's fine, God doesn't care anymore. I'm not going to tell you yes or no on that because I don't have a definitive answer for you. Okay. But if you.
Feel convicted when you eat pig, if you eat bacon, or if you eat pork and rice, or you eat pork beans or whatever, and you feel defiled, and you feel like, hey, it's if you feel like the Holy spirit's convicting you, don't eat it.
There's a reason for it. Okay, just letting you guys know that. So let's stop there real quick and let me just read my We're gonna just highlight that so I don't forget. So Deuteronomy fourteen to two states that for you are people holy to the Lord, your God, and the Lord has chosen you to be people for his prized possession, out of all peoples on the face of the earth. This verse underscores the theme of holiness and being set apart. That's exactly what I was talking about.
He's asking he wants you to not do as the Pagans do. He wants the is Relights to do as God wants them to do, which makes them holy. What does holy mean to be? Set heart? Okay? Dietary laws Verses three through twenty one outline specific dietary restrictions, emphasizing clean and nuclean animals. These laws were meant to distinguish
the Israelites from surrounding nations. So it's another thing it's meant for the Israelites at that time, because all the other tribes that are around them are probably doing things with these animals that are not good, and they're probably eating all these animals, and they're probably sacrificing these animals to their gods. And God does not want them to get anything mixed together. He wants it to be peer and holy. He doesn't want to get them confused with
any of the stuff that these pagans are doing. So God is setting them apart from the surrounding nations. Let's go. We'll continue to read Deuteronomy fourteen, chapter nine. These you may eat of all that are in the waters. You may eat all that have fins and scales. And whatever does not have fins and scales you shall not eat. It is unclean for you. Oh man, here's another thing. Now, we're like, what lobster, crab, shrimped, no octopus, several things
that are that have no fins? Oh, that have no scales. Sorry, they have to have fins and scales. Most of the fish have fins, you know what I mean. But see some of the ones that don't have scales. They're bottom feeders and they're probably not good to eat. Okay, they're what clean the ocean shrimp? All these different things. You know, crab even crab eats everything that's on the bottom. So there's a reason behind this, Okay, there's a reason behind this.
Besides the separating you from that, Besides separating the nations from the nations you know, from the other nations around them, besides separating the is your lights from the other nations around them. There's other health benefits to not eating these things. Now, eating fish with scales, I mean, if you eat fish
minus there's so much mercury in the water. Now. But besides that eating fish, if you had a fish diet, fish a lot of fish, a little bit of rice, a lot of fish, a little bit of rice, like a Mediterranean diet. The Mediterranean diet is like what makes people live the longest. Okay, there's like a blue I don't know what it's called. See, I wish my mind was fresh right now. See I'm doing a night show. Sometimes my mind's not as fresh at night. But it's
like the blue zone. And that's all usually Mediterranean food, the tomatoes, the lettuce, the fish, the rice, you know, the goat. You know, they eat all these the Mediterranean food that is super healthy for you. That the cheese coat cheese and all this stuff. Right, So if you notice that diet actually is very very healthy for you, the diet we eat right now is in America is
absolutely terrible for you. So yeah, it's a it's a there's so there's just letting you guys know, there's certain there's certain reasons behind this about being holy, and I think there's also some help benefits to paying attention to this. Okay, okay, dud, don't want to be fourteen eleven. All clean birds you may eat, but these you shall not eat. Which, hey, good thing. The eagle, because the bald eagle is endangered here,
so we eat eagle. We're gonna be done anyway. The eagle, the vulture, the buzzard, the red kite, the falcon, the kite after their kinds, every raven after its kind, the ostrichs, the short eared owl, the seagull, and the hawk after their kinds, the little owl, the screen owl, the white owl, the jack draw, the carrion, vulture, the fisher owl, the stork, the hair on after its kind, and the hopie and the bat. The bat that's where COVID came from. Isn't it?
Good thing? We're not eating bats? No, I'm just kidding. Guess. Also, creeping thing that flies is unclean for you. They shall not be eaten, but he will tell you what you can eat the clean birds. But listen. So we have all these things out here, A lot of them are you know, they're eating dead carcasses. You know. Uh, some of these are eating dead carcasses. Not saying all of them, but some of them. Right, So a lot of us aren't looking, you know, craving seagull Anyway, I don't really
crave to eat an owl. If I see an owl, I'm not like I want lunch, you know, unless I was on like an episode of a loon and I'm out there with the bow and arrow and aal as a ten and I'm starving, then they're gonna be like, who cares? But there's two They're just gonna eat it
whatever they can, you know. Uh. I don't know if you guys ever watch alone, but you see there they see something fly up, they're like, oh my god, this and they're just starving and they're shaking because they're so hungry, and they're just they get got it and then oh I can't. They have to try to find it. They feel like you know, sometimes they lose their arrow. They're like, oh so anyways, so yeah, you see that, and uh yeah, So we got to understand that there's a different different
clean and unclean. So let's find out the clean birds that you can eat you shall not eat. Oh I'm sorry. Oh it says you may eat all clean birds. So anything that's not mentioned here is okay to eat chicken, you know, turkey, the things that we normally eat. The only thing that we add that I have to cut out of my diet, which I eat once in a
great while, would be pork. And my wife is tie and Filipino, right, and like we like Asian food, so sometimes they have pork in their Asian food, especially the Filipino food, and they that's something that I have to i'd have to. I mean, it's not something major I need to cut on my diet. Mostly what I eat is beef. I'll tell you guys what I do real quick. I mean, I know, sorry, I don't want to get sidetracks, but four days a week I eat lean ninety three lean ground beef. I put it inside of a pan,
a big pan like this big. You can only see it on video probably, but it's it's big. And then I put ground beef, I put broccoli, I put cauliflour, and I put carrots a bunch of them, like thirty two ounces of that stuff. Mix it all together with an onion, and I cook it for the week. And that's what I eat throughout the week, four days a week. Excuse me. So that's no carbs. All I'm eating is that. And then so that's about three pounds or four pounds
of meat I eat in four days. One pound of meat basically a day sounds like a lot, but you know, when you lift weights, then you want to get the protein. But that's something I do and I and it's been helping me tremendously. And then on the weekends, I try to eat as best as I can. So I do like a sixty forty split, sixty percent clean thirty maybe you know, seventy percent clean, thirty percent unclean. That's kind
of where it works. Not unclean like this, but not unclean like the Bible is saying, but uncleaned, as in I was eating clean. And then something, you know, on the weekend, I eat like a little less clean, you know, like but yeah, once in a great, great while maybe once a month or every two or three months will have bacon, but I could probably switch that to turkey bacon. So that's all I have to get out of my life, is just that I don't have him been eating any
short eared owl. I don't know about you, guys. Let's continue, dud want to be fourteen Verse twenty one. You shall not eat anything that dies of itself, because why because it probably had a disease. Okay, you may not give it to the alien or which means the person that's the outsider, who is within your gates, that he may eat it. You may give it to the alien who is within your gates, that he may eat it. Or you may sell it to a foreigner. For you are
holy people, the Lord your God. You shall not boil a young goat in it's mother's milk. Interesting, and then I don't know if it gets to that, but it always talks about don't drink blood, don't eat the blood. Life is in the blood, right, So we got to understand that. Okay, So now we got through the dietary laws, Let's see what I can Okay. The chapter begins with instructions or on clean and unclean animals. What the Israelites are permitted to forbid it to eat. This section emphasizes
the importance of holiness and obedience to God's commands. And we are prohibited against pagan practices, mourning practices. That's what that is. So in Deuteronomy fourteen one through two, I forgot to tell you guys about this. The Israelites are starting not to cut thisself. Their shaved their foreheads. This prohibition is rooted in their identity as holy people chose them. The Hebrew term quadote emphasizes they're set apart status. So
that's what it is. It's pagan mourning practices when they're shaving their head for the dead. That's what it is. Let's see, we are are right here now, we're in tithing right So the chapter and then Deuteronomy fourteen three through eight. The chapter outline onlines which an animals are considered clean and unclean, which you read. Clean animals include these that shew the cut and have a split hoof. The Hebrew word to whore is used for clean, indicating
purity and suitability for consumption. Permissible sea creatures. Only sea creatures with fins scales are deemed clean. This distinction is part of meaning maintaining ritual purity, as indicated in the Hebrew term snappier for fins and quissette wait cascasset for scales forbidden birds. These birds are often associated with scavenging, which is contrary to the purity laws. All flying insects are considered unclean, except those that are specifically permitted. This
maintains the theme for distinguishing between clean and unclean. Okay, prohibiting eating carcasses. The Hebrew term nevellah refers to carcasses, emphasizing the importance of consuming only what is ritually clean. Okay. Now we're going to be in tithing instructions, so let's go ahead, and let's go ahead and start there. Let's get back to tithing in generosity. So Deuteronomy fourteen, verse
twenty two tithing principles. You shall truly tithe all the increase of your grain that the field produces year by year, and you shall eat before the Lord your God, in the place where he chooses to make his name. Abide the tithe of your grain and your new wine, and your oil of the firstborn of your herds and your flocks, that you may learn to fear the Lord your God always.
But if the journey, if the journey is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry the tithe, or the place with the Lord your God has chosen to put his name is too far from you. When the Lord God has blessed you, then you shall exchange it for money. Take the money in your hand and go to the place which your Lord or God chooses, and you shall spend that money for whatever your heart desires, for oxen or sheep, for wine or similar drink, whatever
your heart desires. You shall eat there before the Lord your God, and you shall rejoice. You and your household. You shut up for sake the levite who's within your gates, for he has no partner inheritance with you. So there's always going to be a reminder. Because the levite has no inheritance and doesn't have a flock of sheep, doesn't have vegetables growing where he can eat. You have to
remember the Levites. That's why you have to tie. Because the Levites don't have money, they don't have a job. They're constantly doing what God needs them to do, and they're focused on that. They don't need to be focused on farming and sheep and this. They need to be focused on what God needs them to focus on. That's why he keeps reminding them to not forsake the Levite who's within your gates, where he has no part or
inheritance with you. So Tithing in Generosity Verses twenty two through twenty nine discussed the practice of tithing, highlighting the importance of giving back to God and supporting the Levites, foreigners, orphans, and widows, which we're going to read about right now, and Deteronomy fourteen twenty eight, it's going to talk about the poor and the widows and the levites. At the end of every third year, you shall bring out the tithe of your produce at the year and store it
up within your gates. And the Levite, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you, and the stranger and the fatherless and the widow are within your gates, may come and eat and be satisfied that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hand, which you do. Okay, so yeah, So this chapter emphasizes that obedience to God's commands brings blessing and sustenance, reinforcing the covenant relationship between God and his people. Okay, we
need to understand that. And so practical applications that we could place in our life is living set apart. Consider how you can live a life that is distinct and wholly in today's world. You see, we have to live apart. We have to live do not be of this world. Jesus says that, okay, and that is not only just like about how you act, but it's also how you think, and it's how you perceive yourself, how you There's so much you know that the world does that we should
not do. Also, I think we should understand that there's things in the world they try to push on us, which I've talked about before. Let's think about it, like the Big Bang theory, evolution for some people. I know some people believe in a globe and helocentricy, but I think that's another thing that we should probably read the Bible and consider see what it says about cosmology. There's
things that we need to understand about, like abortion. There's things that we need to understand about, like so much that the Bible teaches that the world tries to push on us, you know, transgenderism, all this other stuff they try to push. There's just a ton I don't need to mention all of them, but adultery, divorce, so much stuff, Pride, covaging, coveting people's stuff, becoming rich, greed, selfishness, self righteousness, there's
so much stuff that we need to be set apart. Okay, we need to be holy in today's world, and it is so difficult because there's so much stuff pulling on your spirit to be come like the world. So we have to be stronger than ever. So what I would tell you, guys, is this kind of Bible study or being in a Bible study is vastly important right now.
So whatever study you're in, if you're in mind, thank God, I really appreciate you, you know, But we need to understand that we need to reflect on our identity as followers of Christ. Reflect on our identity as followers of Christ, reflect on what we're doing on a day to day basis. Reflect on the decisions that we're making from time to time. You know, sometimes we might be making decisions for ourselves
and not making decisions that are God's will. So let's pray and let's make sure that we are including God in our decisions, and then it will help do I one hundred percent, every single day, every single moment, make a decision that I think God would love. No. I do my very best to make sure that I'm following God and his will. But sometimes I am human, just like you guys, So I don't I don't expect you to to just like you know, snap of a finger.
Just be holy all the time. It just takes time, maturity, the Bible, praying, having spiritual weapons ready at your disposal, having Bible versus ready at your disposal, and it takes a lot. So mindful consumption, yeah, be mindful of what you consume. Okay. This says while the specific dietary laws are not binding for Christians, the principle of being mindful about what we consume physically and spiritually remains relevant. So
what does that mean? Well, if I go and I go and drink alcohol instead of drinking water, it's going to cloud your mind. Right, It's going to cause you to probably fight with your wife. It's probably gonna cause you to not read the Bible. It's probably gonna cause you to go out and do things that you probably didn't want to do. It could cause you to get a dui. It could cause people to see that you're drunk, and then you try to preach the gospel to them
and they're like, ah, he's a drunkard. You know. I know some people that cannot go one day without drinking, and they are constantly going to the liquor store and they cannot stop because if they stop, they have withdraws and they're gonna they feel like they're gonna die, and they actually literally could die. So this kind of stuff is very important what you physically consume. And that's just
like one thing. If you're physically consuming marijuana, smoke, if you're physically consuming psychedelics, if you're physically consuming cocaine, speed or whatever, meth or any of these things, you are separating yourself from God. Then you need to make sure that you just quit doing that. Spiritually, what are we you know, also, what are we consuming like on a listening to podcast level, or what are we consuming when it comes to watching TV? What are we consuming when
it comes with our eyes? Are we consuming pornography? Are we consuming Instagram butts? Are we consuming romance novels that that are you're reading about people doing lustful things and then you're like getting excited. Are you are you doing certain things like that? You know, it's like what are you consuming? What is your mind consuming? We have to be careful because when you're reading the Word of God and then you're watching that kind of stuff, those kind
of pictures, they they're stuck in your mind. So you could be reading the Word of God and then all you're thinking about the devil keeps putting that picture in your mind of what you looked at, and then you're like, oh, it's hard for me to read the Bible today. It's gonna have to cut kick back on that real quick, you know, because you have the devils like using that putting that in your face. So be careful what we physically consume and spiritually consume. It's very relevant today. Generosity
and stewardship. Reflect on your own practices of giving and how you can support these in need within your community. Yes, it's very important to support those that are in need for sure. And then you know, tithing at your church or you know, as long as everything's going to the right place, you know, stuff like that, obedience to God. Evaluate areas in your life where you may need to align more closely with God's commands, trusting that his ways
lead to blessings. Obedience to God. I've always said this on a lot of my podcasts and I'll say it again, Pray for obedience. Obedience is a way to show God that you love him, following his commandments and his ways, and you know, doing his will shows him that you love him. Okay, it's a way of worship. People think that worship is just having your hands up at church when someone singing some rock song. And I'm not saying
that's not worshiping God. And if you could worship God in your own way, but one way to worship God is obedience. Did you know that that is one major way to show God. To worship God through your obedience, trusting His ways leads to blessings for sure. And let's see if I have anything provision for the needy. I have this in the notes, and what it says is every third year, the tie this store within the towns to support the levites, the foreigners, the orphans, and widows.
This reflects the Hebrew concept of teza daka, or righteousness through social justice and care for the vulnerable. A few verses that additional scriptures that connect to this chapter would be first Peter two, verse nine. You are not chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, people of God's own possession, to proclaim the virtues of Him who called you out of darkness in the marvelous light. That's probably paraphrasing right there. I'm not going to the actual scripture, but it might
be the actual scripture. I don't know if it's exact. Matthew five sixteen. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that you may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven, Amen two Corinthians six seventeen. Therefore, come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord, touched no unclean thing, and I will receive you. All right. So, yeah, that was a really good chapter and a great review
of what the Israelites needed to know. And I will click the chapter fourteen on here, and then we go up to the top and click the chapter fourteen on here. Debts canceled every seven years. This is something we went over in Leviticus, but we're gonna go over again. It looks like for some reason, my my internet was stripping. Hopefully it's going to be okay debts cancer every seven years. At the end of this is Deuteronomy fifteen, verse one. At the end of every seven years, you shall grant
a release of debts. And this is This is the form of the release. Every creditor who has lent anything to his neighbor shall release it. He shall not require it of his neighbor or his brother. Because it is called the Lord's release of a foreigner. You may require it, but you shall give up your claim to what is owed by your brother, except when you may be no poor among you, except when they're except when there may
be no poor among you. For the Lord will greatly bless you in the land which the Lord your God has given you to possess as an inheritance, only if you carefully obey the voice of the Lord your God to observe with care all his commandments which I command you today. For the Lord your God will bless you just as he promised you. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. You shall reign over many nations, but you shall not reign, but they shall not reign
over you. Interesting For your Lord God will bless you just as you promise. You shall not lend to many nations, but but you shall not borrow. You shall lend to many nations. So you can give too many nations, but not borrow from those nations. Why because those nations are pagan and what are you borrowing from them? Whatever you're
borrowing or probably unholy, So understand that. So uh. And then this verse is also talking about every seven years a sabbath years proclaimed where debts are to be canceled, while leading where lending is encouraged God desires. God's desire is for there's to be no poor among the Israelites. He asserts them blessings if they obey the command making them lenders, not borrow borrowers to other nations. And then in verses one and two, the year of release describes
the commandment to cancel debts every seven years. This practice underscores the importance of mercy to the prevents of perpetual poverty. At the end of every seven years, you must cancel debts. This is how it is to be done. Every creditor shall cancel the loan he has made to his fellow Israelites. Which is interesting because how long does it take for
something to fall off your credit? Seven years. What it's kind of interesting, right, so every seven years, like let's say if you have like a something, let's say you have a collections on your account, like your credit score, then it falls off after seven years, which is very interesting because it kind of seems to line up to this, doesn't it. Generosity to the poor? Excuse me, oh, before
we go there? Four to six. Yeah, God's provision and promise emphasizes that obedience to God's commands will lead to his blessing and provision. There will be no poor among you because the Lord will surely bless you in the land. The Lord your God is giving you the possesses, giving you to possess as an inheritance. And then generosity to the poor is next. It's going to be Deuteronomy fifteen,
verse seven. They make sure I'm not missing anything here that goes all the way to Deudonomy fifteen events the year release describes, okay, so the year release, and Deuteronomy one and two describes the commandment of the year of release, known as Shemtah. Every seventh year, debts are to be canceled. The Hebrew root for release is shematah, which signifies letting go or release. The passage states, at the end of every seven years, you must cancel debts. This is how
it is to be done. Every critaitor shall cancel alone. It is made to its fellow Israelite. So it's talking about brothers, right. That's why it says brothers. It means the fellow Israelite and blessings from obedience. Doudonanomy Be fifteen four through six promises blessings for obedience to this command. This past emphasized that there will be no poor among the Israelites if they obey God's commands. He's saying, if you obey his commandments, there will be no poor here,
and as He has blessed them abundantly. The text states, there will be no poor among you, however, because the Lord will surely bless you with the land that the Lord of God has given you to possess as an inheritance. Okay, let's look at open handed generosity. Okay, let's check out the law and wait generosity to the poor, and I will go right up here to verse seven through eleven.
So let's go Dodonomy fifteen, verse seven. If there is among you a poor man of your brethren within any of the gates of your land, which the Lord your God has given. You shall not hearden your heart nor shut your hand from your poor brother. But you shall open your hand wide to him, and willingly lend him
sufficient for his need, whatever he needs. Beware less there be a wicked thought in your heart, saying the seventh year the year of releases at hand, and your eye be evil, because your poor brother you given, you give him nothing, and he cry out to the Lord against you, and it becomes and it becomes sin among you. You shall surely give to him. And your heart should not be grieved when you give to him. Because for this
thing the Lord your God will bless you. And all your works and all which you have put in your hand for the poor will never cease from the land. Therefore I command you, saying, you shall open your hand wide to your brother, to your poor and your needy, and your land. Okay, So this one is call for your open hearted generosity towards the poor, highlighting the need for compassion and action. If there is a poor man among your brothers, you shall not harden your heart or
shut your hand to your poor brother. Okay. So let's see what's down here in my notes places events open handed. Okay, here's this. Verses seven through eleven encourage generosity towards the poor. The Israeites are instructed not the heart in their hearts or close their hands against their poor brothers. The Hebrew word for open is patak, meaning to open or loosen. The passage includes if there's a poor man among you. Okay, we already read that, so we don't need to go
over that. Next, we're gonna talk about bond servants. Okay, bond servants. A bond servant means a bond servant or bond slave is a slave that after the seven years is up and wants to stay with their master. Okay, that's what that means. That's what bond servant means. Let's go there. Deuteronomy fifteen. Deuteronomy fifteen, we're gonna go to teaching points. Make sure that's pulled up. If your brother,
this is Dounonomy fifteen twelve. If your brother, a Hebrew man or Hebrew woman, is sold to you and serves you six years, then in the seventh year you shall let him go free from you. And when you send him away free from you, you shall not let him go away empty handed. You shall supply him liberally from your flock, from their threshing floor, and from your wine press. From what the Lord your God has blessed you with
you shall give to him. You shall remember when you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and your Lord God redeemed you. Therefore, I command you to do this thing today. Let's stop there, so listen to what he's saying. He's saying that they serve the slaves serve you for six years. The seventh year, you let him go. And what do you do? You provide them with flock. You and it says you provide them liberally from your flock and threshing floor, from your white press. So you
don't let them go empty handed. You show them you appreciate their work that they've done for you. Also, they're just like God redeemed. You redeem them. Remember that you were a slave. So when you become a slave owner of these people that owe you a debt or however it works, you don't sit there and treat him like crap, you know, because remember you were once a slave in the land of Egypt and the Lord redeemed you. He wants them to remember Okay, that makes so much sense.
I don't know if it makes a lot of sense to you, but it makes so much sense to me. Deuteronomy fifteen, verse sixteen. And if it happens that he says to you, I will not go away from you because he loves you in your house, since he prospers with you, then you shall take an all and thrust it through his ear at the door, and he shall be your servant forever. Also to your female servant, you shall do likewise. It shall not seem hard to you
when you send him away free from you. He has been worth double hired servant and serving you six years. Then the Lord your God will bless you in all that you do. That's what I talked about. For the bond servant, that's somebody that loved the master, or you know the Master. You know, and honestly, guys, I know, we guys think, oh, certain slavery is terrible. Do you understand that all of us are slaves to something? Right now? I am a slave to my employer. You might not
think you are, but let me tell you something. If you don't show up for three days, you're gonna be fired, and your life is gonna be held until you find unemployment if you can get it, or if you get fired. I mean, I mean if you quit, if you quit the job, then you're not gonna be able to get unemployment. But you are definitely a slave to something, whether it's your car payment, your house payment, your mortgage, your credit card debt, whatever. We are slaves to something, and our
employer is just like the master. Besides, it's the employer, right and we show up forty hours a week, maybe fifty, sometimes sixty, depending on what kind of job you have. But I'm a slave to my system. Right now, I have a water system. And if I get called that said, there's an earthquake right now, and I'm off, you know, I'm off on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, right I'm off for three days. But if there's an earthquake, I got to
go in. I'm an emergency employee. If there's an earthquake and there's a crack pipe or a bunch of crackpipes that water's blowing out of, then I have to be there. So I am definitely a slave to my job. I don't know about you, guys. I'm on call twenty four to seven, but I enjoy my job. I appreciate my job. I love my job. I appreciate that God is blessed you with the job. I appreciate the fact that I mean, I literally went to the military for the water treatment
training so I could become a water treatment operator. And now I am here, ladies and gentlemen, a water treatment operator, a production operator. I am so happy to have a job. But I'm just letting you guys know that we are all slaves to something, even to this day. Okay. And we could choose to love our job like the bond servants love their masters, or we could choose to just go.
But some of you might own your own business, okay, and so you might tell me I'm not a slave to that, but you're still a slave to here more we gets, aren't you. So anyways, just letting you guys know. Let's see voluntary servitude. Okay, that's something that's discussed in verses sixteen through seventeen, till my notes provide for the possibility of a slave choosing to remain with their master out of love, illustrating a relationship based on mutual respect
and affection. So, yeah, we have this thing where we think about slavery like they like, you know, these people back in the seventeen hundreds and eighteen hundred, all this stuff, you know that they were doing too, African Americans and all that. So our perception of slavery is different, like what we would probably think, like nobody's ever going to remain with their master. They were swipping their people with whips. I don't think it was the same. Just letting you
guys know. I don't think it was the same. You know. Obviously that's why there's bond servants and some people wanted to stay. And also these other you know, the way that they were, you know, the these other these slave owners that that were in America that they weren't they weren't doing that we're letting go free after seven years. They were just taking them as long as they wanted to, you know. So totally different. Okay, totally different, and just
letting you guys know. So yeah, let's continue. We're going to go to Deuteronomy fifteen, verse nineteen. This is the law concerning firstborn animals. Before I go there, let me make sure I'm not so a fellow Hebrew Israelite who has become a servant due to debt or poverty is to be released in the seventh year. The Hebrew word for servant is eved, which can meant servant or slave.
Your male servant and female servant. These these individuals who serve within a household are to be treated like with fairness and released in the sabbatical year. The Hebrew terms a ed or male servant a mob for female servant. So they're supposed to be treated with fairness, and they're supposed to be treated right. They're supposed to get fed, they're supposed to you know, they're not supposed to be treated poorly. They're they are working and they are assisting.
But they're supposed to be treating them with fairness, which is something. You know. We have this odd thing about slavery. Obviously it was terrible and it was bad. I'm not saying it anything was good about it, but there was probably maybe some that were treating people hopefully with fairness. I don't know. I wasn't there, I wasn't alive. I have no idea. I think that some of the history that we learn is either sideways or it's it's it's probably pushed too much in one direction or less in
one direction. I'm not sure, so I don't like to talk about it. I mean, I don't really know, so I don't want to talk about the cities of refuge. Deuteronomy fifteen the cities of refuge. Although not directly mentioned in this chapter, the concept of cities of retus is part of the border broader legal and social structure within which these laws operate. These cities provide a place of safety and a justice aligned with the themes of mercy
and redemption found in Douronomy fifteen. Okay, cool, and so Deuteronomy fifteen eighteen. Here's something else that was in my notes. He encourages masters not to view the release of servants as a hardship, reminding them the value of the servants work do not regard as hardship. Right, So there's that. And then we're going to talk about the consecration of firstborn animals right now, So Verses nineteen through twenty three is going to go over the law concerning firstborn amimals.
Let's go there. So it's Deuteronomy fifteen, verse nineteen. All the firstborn males that come from your herd and your flock, you shall sanctify to the Lord your God. You shall not work with the firstborn of your herd. You shall do no work with the firstborn of your herd, nor shear the firstborn of your flock. You and your household shall eat it before the Lord your God, year by year,
in the place which the Lord chooses. But if there's a defect in it, if if it is lame or blind, or as any serious defect, you shall not sacrifice it to the Lord your God. You may eat it within your gates. The unclean. The clean person alike may eat it as if they were as if it were a gazelle or dear. Only you shall not eat its blood. You shall pour it on the ground like water. Okay,
So here's an example. If you were having let's say, let's say you were having the governor of California, which I probably would never eat it with that guy, but that's probably a bad example. Let's say you're having dinner with President Trump and he's coming over to your house.
Or let's say if you're in the military and uh, the sergeant major of the army was coming over, you know, and and he comes over and all of a sudden, you're like, hey, I'm gonna cook you this sheep, and the sheep's coming up, limping with one eye like, and you're like, that's the sheep I chose. And you have all these great sheep around you, and you choose that one to feed your sergeant major or the president or whatever. You're probably not gonna choose that one. So don't choose
that one for God. Okay. If it's limping like with one eye coming over and it looks all defected, God doesn't want that. God wants your best. And that's the same thing you would do if you had someone you're trying to impress, your boss, your ceo, whatever's coming over for dinner. You're not gonna grab this beat up lamb with one eye that's that's limping over here. You know, looks defective. Nah, And you're probably gonna grab the best
of your flock. So that's what God wants. What more is God than your boss or ceo, President Trump or what what the heck? Not even saying all those people should opress you anyways, But I'm just making an example that makes sense. Okay, So versus nineteen instructor israeites to consecrate the first more males of their herds and the flocks of the Lord. There's no work, which we talked about. Let's check the teaching points. They really didn't say much
on that portion. Okay, didn't really have much on that. Okay, all right, cool, perfect, And we can go over voluntary servitude we already talked about. We can go over some practical applications that's going to be UH practice forgiveness. Consider how you can apply the principle of debt forgiveness in your own life, whether they're whether through financial means or
relational forgiveness. Cultivate generosity. Look for opportunities to be generous with your resources, time, and talents, especially towards those in need. Definitely I agree with all that reflect on God's provision. Trusting God's promise to provide for your needs as you obey his commands, live out his principles. Okay, God will provide for your needs. Okay, just obey his commands and your life will be blessed. You know why because you
know what happens. You know what happens with What happens with with you is when you're disobeying God, it ends up causing major problems in your life. If you're with your wife, and you're treating her and you're loving her like Christ love the Church, like the Bible says, and you're being obedient to God. You're living God's will. You're reading the Bible to your family. You're being great guy.
You're taking care of your wife. You're being a servant, You're doing everything you could do, doing the dishes, taking care of you know, every need. And your wife's taking care of all your needs. And he's doing all the stuff that she's supposed to do. Your life is running like a machine, you know what I mean. And it's
it's it just does it's just great things. But when you're disobeying God's commands, not living God's will and doing your own thing, coming home from work, throwing your feet up on the couch like hey, give me a beard, clean the kitchen to your wife, not loving her like Christ, Love the Church, then then all of a sudden things
are gonna start going sideways. It causes arguments, it causes fights, and then when your wife, you know, might have that time of the month, she might be a little edgy, and then you're like over here, like whatever, start fighting with her. It's gonna cause problems. But if you're doing God's will, you have patience. Love is kind love his patient. It does not it does not love evil. I can't
remember what it is. But you know, if you follow all these you follow the Bible and you're doing God's will, your life is not gonna be perfect, but it's gonna be so much stress free. And then you're not gonna have all these convictions. There's not gonna be an elephant on your chest when your wife's in the room, But when you're doing things that are bad and disrespectful to her and you're doing things that are against God's will, you're gonna have all this conviction. You're gonna have an
elephant in the room all the time. Okay, So reflect on God's provision. And it's also wifes to husbands too. Make sure that you are also doing everything the Bible says for you to do as well. Right, not just the husband. But I just speak from a man's point of view. That's why I say that trust in God's promise to provide for your needs. We already talked about
that value freedom and justice. Advocate for justice and freedom in your community, remembering the importance of treating others with dignity,
and respect. Whether you're dealing with someone at the grocery store, or you're dealing with someone at the gas station, or you're dealing with somebody that's walking by you, or whether you're dealing with someone in church, whether you're dealing with someone in school, whether you're dealing with somebody in college, whether you're dealing with someone with somebody that's an employee, whether you're dealing with anybody, Treat them with respect for sure, dignity,
respect and integrity. When you give someone your word, keep your word. When you're dealing with your wife, deal with respect and dignity and love. When you're dealing with your kids, dignity, respect, and love. Okay, And for some reason I have on here. Oh yeah, this is Malachi one eight. This has to do with the firstborn animals. Malachi one eight. Uh yeah, I will probably read that to you from the new King James, because I don't want to give you some
water downversh. Sorry, sorry, ESV. I just want to not saying, you know, I'm not saying. I'm just saying, I just want to try to right. Malachi one verse eight. Let's see, and when you offer the blind as a sacrifice is it not evil? And when you offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? Offer it then to your governor? Would you be pleased with you? Would it be accept Would he accept you favorably? Says the Lord of Hosts. But now entreat God's favor that he may be gracious
to us while being done by your hands. Will they accept you favorably? Says the Lord of host So what he's trying to tell you is the same exact thing I told you where I told you that you know, what would you what would you? Uh? What would you cook for the governor? You know? And that's what? More is the governor than to God? God? Is this way more important than anybody anybody? Okay, okay, let's continue. Should be more important than your wife, okay, more important than
your kids, more important than anything or anybody. So now we're gonna go over this kind of go over this kind of quickly, because this is this review, the passover reviewed. Okay, And well I always say go over something quickly, and then I get into my notes and it's not quickly. Right, let's go over here? Oh wait, I'm sorry, yeah, I did. I want to have practical applications for that chapter perfect. All right, let's go over Deuteronomy the Passover Deuteronomy sixteen
one through eight. Deuteronomy sixteen one says, observe the month of a Bib and keep the passover of the Lord your God. For in the month of a Bib, the Lord your God brought you out of Egypt by night. Therefore you shall sacrifice the passover to the Lord your God from the flock and the herd in the place where the Lord chooses to put his name. You shall eat no leaven bread within it seven days. You shall eat on leaven bread with it, that is the bread
of affliction. For you come out of the land of Egypt in haste that you may remember the day in which you came out of the land of Egypt all the days of your life. And no leaven shall be among you in your territory for seven days, nor shall any of the meat which you sacrify the ice the first day at twilight remain overnight until morning. So what it's saying, leven repriments sin so that he wants unleavened bread, right,
so sinless. And I want to tell you this. Let's see, that's going to be four through Okay, let me continue. You may not sacrifice the Passover with any of the gates. You may not sacrifice the Passover within any of the gates which your Lord or God gives you. But at the place where the Lord your God chooses to make
his name abide. There you shall sacrifice the Passover at twilight, at the going down of the sun, at the time you come out of Egypt, and you shall roast and eat it in the place where the Lord your God chooses. And in the morning you shall turn and go to your tents. Six days you shall eat eleven bread, and on the seventh day there shall be a sacred assembly to the Lord your God. You shall do no work on it. Right, So it's a sabbath, right, So all right,
So that makes sense. So let's let's go ahead and read some teaching points. The Passover is a commemoration of Israel's deliverance from Egypt, highlighting God's power and faithfulness. It is to be observed in the month of a Bib, marking that the beginning of the Jewish religious calendar. The sacrifice must be made at the place of God chooses, emphasizing the importance of worshiping. According to God's and instructions. So Deuteronomy sixteen wfirst to Egypt. That's a place where
the Israelites were delivered. The first States observed the month of a Bib to celebrate the Lord your God, that which we already went through. The Hebrew word for Egypt is mitzra jim, which is often associated with the idea of a narrow or constructed place, symbolizing the bondage from which the Israelites were freed. Deuteronomy the phrase the place
the Lord wills. Okay, so let's see it. It's actually refers to the pacific location where God would choose to establish his name and where the Israelites were to bring their sacrifice in offering. The exact locations not named to this chapter, but it is understood to be Jerusalem, where the temple was eventually built. The Hebrew word for choose is bachar bakar, indicating a deliberate selection by God. Okay, so we got to understand that, and we'll go over
a few other things. The month of a bib, the month of a bib and celebrate the passover the Lord your God. Because of the month Dinonymy sixteen, the word a bib refers to the first month of the Hebrew calendar, marking the beginning of the barley harvest and the time of Exodus. The next thing is to celebrate Passover Denonyomy sixteen to two. The Passover Pasakh commemorates the israelites deliverance from Egypt, emphasizing the importance of sacrifice and obedience, which
you talked about. Eating unleven bred okay, so eleven bread matzat symbolizes the haste of the exodus and the purity required in worship. No leaven to be seen Dounonomy sixteen four. The absence of leven signifies, which is seure signifies the removal of sin and corruption Dononomy sixteen to five. The centralization of worship as designated place underscores the unity and
holiness of the community Denonomy sixteen nine. I don't think we've done yet, so let me just hold off on that and reading that part, and let's read it Deteronomy sixteen verse nine. You shall count seven weeks for yourself. Begin to count the seven weeks from the time you begin to put the sickle to the grain. Then you shall keep the feast of weeks to the Lord your God. With the tribute of a farewell fare farewell of a free will offering from your hand, which you shall give
as the Lord your God blesses you. You shall rejoice before the Lord your God, You and your son, and your daughter, your mail sir, your female servant, the levite who is within your gates, the stranger and the fatherless, and the widow, who are among you, at the place where the Lord your God chooses to make his name abide. And you shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt.
And you shall be careful to observe these statutes. Needed some more water, So celebrate the feast of weeks known as chevat what you guys have probably heard that the feast marks the completion of the grain harvest giving and the giving of the Torah. Okay, the next verse is Deuteronomy sixteen eleven. They command the command to rejoice. Shamack emphasizes communal joy and inclusivi inclusivity in worship. And then did we do Nope, we haven't done that yet. The
feast of tabernacles reviewed. So we're gonna go ahead and go there. And uh, this is Deuteronomy sixteen, verse thirteen. You shall observe the feast of tabernacles. Seven days, when you have gathered from your threshing floor and from your wine press, you shall rejoice in your feast. You and your son and your daughter, your male servant, your female servant, and the levite, the stranger, and the fatherless and the widow,
who are within your gates. Seven days you shall keep a sacred feast to the Lord your God in the place which the Lord chooses. Because the Lord your God will bless you and all your produce and all your work in your hands, so you so that you surely rejoice. It's the end of that little portion. So in Deuteronomy sixteen thirteen also knows this no known as Sukut, the feast commemorates the Israelites will this journey in God's provision. So a lot of this stuff I went over before.
So I have a little something for you guys. Here, a little something extra here, right, So I've gone over this before, so I have some there's some gems in this Bible. Study notes that I have Deuteronomy sixteen, verse sixteen. Three times a year, all of your males shall appear before the Lord your God in the place which he chooses at the feast of unleavened bread, at the feast of weeks, at the feast of Tabernacles. They shall not
appear before the Lord empty handed. Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the Lord your God, which he has given you. Okay. In Deuteronomy sixteen sixteen, these pilgrimage festivals shall loose rajalim highlight the rhythm of the worship and the covenant relationship with God. In Deuteronomy sixteen sixteen through seventeen, the principle of giving naton is the word in Hebrew reflects gratitude and acknowledgment
of God's provisions. Very nice. Is there any teaching points that I may be missing? Yes. The feast of Tabernacle, which we read this feast is the celebration of harvest and reminder of Israel's wilderness journey. It is a time of joy and gratitude, lasting seven days. All males are required to appear before the Lord, signifying the importance of communal worship and accountability. Now we're going to do Deuteronomy sixteen eighteen through twenty two, and this is going to
be justice and worship. Justice, must be administered. Deuteronomy sixteen, verse eighteen. You shall appoint judges an office in all your gates, which the Lord your God gives you, according to your tribes, and they shall judge the people with just judgment. You shall not pervert injustice. You shall not show partiality, nor take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the rights. I wish our government would uh listen to that.
You shall follow what is altogether just, that you may live and inherit the land which your Lord your God is giving you. You shall not plant yourselves any tree as a wooden image near the altar which you build for yourselves to the Lord your God. You shall not set up a sacred pillar, which the Lord your God hates justice and worship. So in verses eighteen through twenty two, the appointment of judges and officials is commanded doing sure
justice and righteousness in the land. The prohibition against idolatry and setting up a sacred stone of asherah poles highlights the need for pure worship. So obviously the Pagans were setting up astroot polls and all this different things. God is saying not to do that. Okay, that's all that is set up being set apart. That's the end of the chapter, and I want to go over some practical applications. Let me make sure I'm not missing anything down here.
The principle of giving the ton we already talked about. So let's go over practical applications we can apply to our life. Remember and celebrate God's faithfulness regularly. Set aside time to reflect on and celebrate God's work in your life. That is such a something we should definitely do. Our life is running so fast and we have so many
things coming at us. That's how I feel sometimes. I'm a high functioning person, so I like a lot of things happening, you know, and I have to always be creating. That's just the way my mind works. Whether it's I'm not creating music really much anymore, so I'm creating more for my podcasts and stuff like that. So I have a lot going on, but I have to set aside time to reflect on and celebrate God's work in my life. God has worked in my life so much, Oh my gosh.
I went from went from struggling so much, you know, struggling so much, to where I'm at today is just amazing. God is so great. Cultivate a heart of gratitude. Practice gratitude by acknowledging God's provision and sharing your blessings with others, especially those in need. And we talked about that in the last chapter. We need to do that for sure. Help those in need. Don't be afraid to give someone the shirt off your back or a jacket in your car,
or food or whatever somebody needs that's in need. You know. Pursue justice and righteousness. Engage in actions and decisions that promote justice and reflect God's character in your community. Age and actions and decisions that promote justice and reflect God's character. Yes, we need to reflect God. We need to reflect God's character so much as much as possible. I know that we're human and sometimes we get mad, sometimes we get angry, sometimes we have issues with that, but we need to
definitely reflect God's character in our community. I agree with that. That's how you attract people to the faith. That's how people will come to you and say, what do you have that I don't have? What is that joy in your life? Why are you so nice when someone might be mean to you? Why do you treat that person with such kindness and compassion when most people don't act like that. Why do you always say hi to each person you see? Why do you always say good morning?
And how you doing? How's everything going? Why you always check on your friends? Why you always check on people? Why are you always filled with love? Why are you that person? Why? Because you're reflecting God's character in your community? Worship in spirit and truth, ensure that your worship is aligned with God's word, free from idology and distractions. How do you ensure that your worship is aligned with God's word? Read the Bible. That is it and we are reading
it right now. That's the only way you can make sure that what you are, how you are worshiping is aligning with God's word. Okay, you have to know God's word. And this is why we have these kind of studies. This is why I'm really appreciative of having this show because you know it will really assist people, hopefully in knowing how to worship God. So, okay, so we're done
with that chapter. All I have left for Deudonomy sixteen is some additional scriptures Exodus twelve Versus one through fourteen. Those are like Chapter one all the way through fourteen is what are originally talks about passover. Okay, So Exodus twelve verses one through fourteen, if you want to go back and study those, it'll tell you about what happened
and what passovers all about. Acts two versus one through four the fulfillment of the feast of weeks at Pentecost with the coming of the Holy Spirit, if you want to read that, Acts two, verses one through four. And then we have John seven thirty seven through thirty nine, Jesus teaching during the feast of Tabernaco's offering living water. Check that out. And then Maca six verse eight. Chapter six verse eight has a call to act justly, love mercy,
and walk humbly with God. So that is some extra verses. If you want to do some extra studies and that I'll definitely assist you find out what passover is. You know, that's always good to know. So we'll go to Doudo to be seventeen. I'm not going to go over all that stuff because we've I've gone over that many times. And if you want to go back to my study on Exodus, Bam, you can go back and look in Sunday Service and you'll go to where I'm going over Exodus, Do Do Do Do, Do Do Do Do. Where's it
at Exodus twelve, verses one through fourteen. You will see where I talk about passover. Also I talk about passover when we're going into Leviticus as well. I don't remember what episode that is, but yeah, if you want to go over that, I will get into it. But this is all kind of review for everybody. So the ones that have been sticking with me week by week probably already have a good idea. So now we're going to be on Deuteronomy seventeen. Here we go, perfect Deuteronomy seventeen.
We're gonna start out with various instructions. I think there's some stuff about idolatry in here. Yep. Cool, seventeen is fairly short, but we will get into it. So, yeah, one through seven is going to be prohibition, prohibition, prohibition or prohibiting of idolatry. Okay, So we are going to read it first, and then I got some verses and stuff that you need to study about idolatry, so you know exactly what that is, and let's get into it.
It says you shall not sacrifice to the Lord a bull or sheep that has any blemish or defect or this is an abomination to the Lord your God. We already talked about it, right. You want to give God your best, just like you would give to your father in law, or your governor, or your senator, or your mayor, or whatever you think is a your highly respectivele person. I just think everybody's everybody. I don't look at people any different. But when it comes to God, obviously you
want to offer your best. Deuteronomy seventeen, verse two. If there is found among you, within any of your gates, which the Lord your God gives you, a man or a woman who has been wicked in the sight of the Lord your God in transgressing his covenant, who has gone and served other gods and worshiped them, either the Sun or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded. And it is told to you that you hear of it, then you shall inquire diligently.
And it is if it is indeed true and certain that such an abomination has been committed in Israel, then you shall bring out, bring out to your gates that man or woman who has committed the wicked thing, and shall stone to death. That man or woman with stones, whoever is deserving of death, shall be put to death on the testimony of two or three witnesses. It can't just be one person that has a vendetta against somebody trying to get someone in trouble. It has to be
two or three witnesses. He should not be put to death in the testimony of one witness. The hands of the witness shall be the first against him to be put him to death, and afterward the hands of all the people. So you shall put away the evil among you. Why would God care about you worshiping the sun? Why would God care about you worshiping the moon? Why would God care about you worshiping the host of heaven. Listen to my biblical cosmology. Listen to the way I teach
on when I jump on people's shows. I'm telling you, guys, there's more going on in the heavens. What does it say in Ephesians six versus twelve when it says we've wrestled not against flesh and butter or principalities and evil. Principality is a vase in heavenly places. What is it talking about the only heavenly places that there is is if you look up where the moon, sun of the stars are located, that's where the principalities of evil are located.
That's the heavenly places. There's not principalities of evil located in in God's throne. What is below God's thrown well the firmament Ezekiel one twenty six, Ezekiel ten to one, Isaiah forty twenty two. God is looking down on the circle of the Earth. I mean, there's a whole bunch of verses. But all I'm telling you, guys, is between Earth and Heaven. How we're far away it is, we
don't know. And whether you believe in a heliocentric globe or you believe in biblical cosmology, whatever you want to believe, all I'm telling you is that where the moon, sun of the stars are located is where the battles are happening. The spiritual battles are happening. Why do we call planets, or what we call in the Bible wandering stars? Why are they named after a bunch of gods Saturn, Mars, Jupiter.
Why they are wandering stars? They are not doing the same path that God wants the stars to be doing. They're wandering. That's what they're called in the Greek wandering stars planets. They're named after all these different gods because people are worshiping them. Why do you think that Warner von Braun called it saturn five Saturnalia, Brotherhood of saturn Elia in Germany, that is where he came from. Brotherhood
of saturn Elia is a secret society there. All I'm telling you, guys is look what God says right here. And you, guys, you know what. I'm not trying to dig into biblical causemulgerator, I'm just trying to tell you guys. It says he's saying not to worship the sun, the moon, or any of the hosts of heaven. He's not even calling them stars, He's calling them host of heaven. Ooh, well, let's go ahead and go to a strong skydcordance and
find out what that means. Because I want to know exactly what that means.
I go to.
Genesis Deuteronomy seventeen. This is the blue Letter Bible, if you guys want to do this. Deuteronomy seventeen. I go to verse three because he had got out sources up the sun, moon, or any of the host of heaven. That's what it says right here in the King James and in the New King James. What in the heck are the host of heaven an army, host of angels, the sun, moon and stars the whole creation war warfare service, go out to war service. Is it saying that the
host of heaven or that stars or angels? Oh, oh man, look at you strong co accordance, listen to that. Yes, God doesn't want you to worship them. Because the stars biblically are angels. What does Satan do he takes a third of the stars with him. What does it say in Isaiah Isaiah that the host of heaven are going to fall to the earth. What does it say in the Book of Revelation all the stars are going to fall to the earth. Am I telling you that every
single angel that God has ever created as a star. No, what I am telling you is, Biblically, stars are angels. Scientifically stars are balls of gas. And all the different things he tried to tell you that are twenty four train miles away. But what I'm telling you in the Bible is that stars are angels a type of angel. Book of Enoch will tell you the same thing. Okay, But I'm just letting you guys know, there's something more to between us and heaven. Where the moon, sun, and
the stars are located. There's something more there. That's why God doesn't want you to worship them. The people were worshiping the sun in where Egypt the moon. Oh, we know who worshiped the moon. You know, it's on their flags all the time, Muslim even though they don't know it. But you know, you see the moon all over the place. You see the sun all over the place. Shell gas station is the sun. I mean, you see the sun. Even the Walmart sign a sun. You see the sun everywhere.
Egypt was worshiping the sun. That's raw, that's Osyrus. You have Apollo, you have all these different gods. People worshiping the stars, worshiping planets. There's a lot of that, and God is saying not to do that. And what does God? He doesn't want you to mix their pagan worship with worshiping him. He doesn't want you to worship the creation. He wants you to worship the Creator. Which makes total sense. Okay, it makes total sense, But it's really interesting that that
word host. It says that which goes forth army war warfare. Host. I'm telling you, guys, the spiritual battles are happening between Earth and Heaven. Biblically, that's what we need in the biblical sense. So I just want you to know that there's something there that's more, that's incredible. I mean, I'll do I did a show on this and a very deep study on this, and it just came out. It'll be out soon on once I receive it. I just recorded it on someone else's show. Once I received this show,
i'll put it out. And when I put it out, I'll let you guys know, so you guys can see what I found. It is incredible. Okay, Sorry I got a little off track, but this is just stuff that I'm really interested in. So okay, So we went over that, and what I want to tell you guys is Deuteronomy seventeen one through seven emphasizes the seriousness of idolatry and the need for thorough investigation before administering justice. You must not sacrifice to the Lord. You must not sacrifice to
the Lord your God. An oxis sheep with any defect or flaw. It is detestable to him. That's Deuteronomy seventeen one and prohibition of defective sacrifices, which we just talked about. The Hebrew word for defect is mum. Emphasizes the sounds like how a cow sounds. A mum emphasizes the requirement for offerings to be without blemish, reflecting God's holiness and the need for purity and worship, and then punishment for idology.
If a man or woman has found among the Azeites who has worshiped committed idolatry by worshiping other gods, they shut they are to be thoroughly investigated. If proven true, the guilty party is to be stoned to death. This underscores the saredness of idology and the need to maintain covenant faithfulness. God does not want you to come in there and mix pagan with God worshiping God, and that's
happening right now in our church. Man's traditions coming in and they want you to worship, you know, they want you to have all these new things they're adding to it. You know, God doesn't want that you're poisoning the well. It's like if you have a cup of water and it's pure water, and then you put three drops of poison in there and you drink it, you could die. You know, that's the same thing that's happening there. He
doesn't want to bring that poison into the camp. And then they start poisoning other people, and other people are starting to worship the moon, the sun, and the stars and the host of heaven. And then all of a sudden, you got one hundred people doing that, and then now they're not worshiping God anymore. That's why they're to be taken out and stoned and taken out. It's like, pluck it at the root and get them out of here.
Requirement of two to three witnesses Deuteronomy seventeen six. A person cannot be put to death in the testimony of only two or three witnesses. There must be two or three witnesses. The principle of requiring multiple witnesses a deem ensures justice and prevents false accusation and then the execution of the sentence. The witnesses are to be the first to okay, the witnesses are to be the first to cast stones. That's very important because if the witnesses are lying,
they're not going to cast the stone. They're probably gonna go I lied, Please don't do this, and then they're gonna get killed, you know what I mean, But you know probably, and then the rest of the people will start the act of communal participating in justice serves as a deterrent to sin and reinforce the community role in upholding God's law. Very important. Now, let's go over some
other verses that talk about idolatry throughout the Bible. The Bible explicitly condemns warning against worshiping or giving devotion into anything or anyone other than God. Key verses highlight the prohibition, including an Exodus twenty verses three through six, which declares you shall have no other gods before Me and prohibits
making or bowing to any image. Other verses emphasizing this fullishness of idolatries and its consequences, like Isaiah forty nine through twenty and Romans one twenty one through twenty three. Key Bible verses on idolatry are Exodus twenty verses three through six, which I kind of already went over for you guys. It says you shall not make no other gods before me. You shall not make yourselves an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on earth,
or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them. Leviticus twenty six to one. You shall not make idols for yourselves or wrecked an image or pillar. You shall not set up a figured stone in your land to bow down to it. Psalms one fifteen, verses four through eight. The song ridicules idols, highlighting the inability to speak, see, or to hear, and mocks those who make and trust in them. Okay, so
now we have Romans twenty one through twenty three. For although they knew God, they neither glorify, hit him as God, nor gave thanks to him. But their thinking became futile, and their foolish minds were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools. They exchanged the glory of the immoral God for images made to look like mortal people and birds and animals and crawling things. For this reason God gave them over to shameful passions. That's Romans one through
twenty six. UH one First John five twenty months. The little children, keep yourselves from idols Colossians three five mortify. Therefore the members of your earthy body, sexual immorality, impurity, unbridled pack and evil desires and coveraiousness which is idolatry. One Corinthians ten, fourteenth SSS. Therefore, my beloved flee from idolatry. Galatians five nineteen through twenty one lists idologies, along with other sins, as part the work of the flesh that
will not inherit the kingdom of God. The nature of idology. The Bible defines idology as giving ultimate allegiance, worship, or devotion to anything or anyone other than God. Idols can be physical objects, but also include anything that takes the place of God in your heart, such as greed, LUs, jealousy, pride, okay. Idology is a serious sin that can lead to spiritual and physical ruin. The dangers of idology robs God of glory. Idolatry is a direct affront to God, who is the
only one worthy to worship. It also causes spiritual corruption. Idolatry leads to hardening of the heart and dissent into spiritual darkness and physical ruin. Idolatry can bring about physical suffering, death, and judgment. I'm only going over these things because it's so vastly important to stay away from idolatry. Okay, that is why I am highlighting and emphasizing this. Okay, So Galatians five, I'm gonna go over this real quick. Nineteen
through twenty five. Let me go now to Galatians five, Okay, because I want to make sure I'm hitting hard on this, because it's very important. I'm not gonna I'm not gonna go over something. I'm not gonna hit on something unless it's super important for you guys. Okay, Now I'm gonna go over Galatians nineteen through twenty five, so you guys
understand this, the importance of this. Now, the works of the flesh are evident, which are adultry, fornication, uncleanliness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousness, outbursts of wrass, selflessness and bitsious dissensions, heresies, envy, murder, drunkenness, revelries, and the like of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithful, and his gentleness self control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the spirit, let us live also. Let us walk in this spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another and being one another. Okay, All of those things that I mentioned can become idols. Okay, and stand in the place of God. We don't want to
do that, Okay. We do not want to have anything that's standing in place of God or the worship of God. Oh that was a lot, all right. So let's go
here to Deuteronomy seventeen, verse eight. If a matter arises which is too hard for you to judge between degrees of guilt for bloodshed, between one judgment or another, or between one punishment or another, matters of controversy within your gates, then you shall arise and go to the place which the Lord your God chooses, And you shall not come to the priests, the levites, and to the judge there's there in those days, in acquire of them. They shall
pronounce upon you the sentence of judgment. You shall do according to the careful to according to all that they order you according to the sentence in the law in which they instruct you, according to the judgment which they tell you shall do. You shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left from the sentence which they pronounce upon you. Now, the man who acts presumptuously and will not heed the priest who stands to minister, Therefore, before the Lord your God, or the judge, that man
shall die. So you shall put away the evil from Israel, and the people shall hear and fear, and no longer act presumptuously. So in Deuteronomy seventeen eight through nine, for difficult cases that are too hard to judge locally, the Israelites are to go to the place the Lord chooses that consult the levitical priest and the judge in office. The centralization of judicial authorities and church consistency and adherence
to divine law and a judicial authority. You must act according to the verdict that they give you at the place the Lord will choose. Now we're going to go to guidelines for kingship, principal governings for kings. Let's see if there's any other teaching points for this portion. Did I go through tenth. Yeah, the people obedience to judicial decisions, the people that command to act according to the decisions given by the priests and judge without deviating to the
right or left. This is obedience to judicial authority. Reflects the importance of maintaining order and justice in society. Deuteronomy seventeen twelve through thirteen, which we already went over. Anyone who shows contempt to the priests or judge must be put to death to purge the evil from Israel and to serve as a warning to others. This severe penalty highlights the gravity of undermining God given authority. Very interesting. Yeah,
it's important to follow God. God shows these people their positions, especially the priesthood. Right, let's continue. Principal governing kings Deuteronomy seventeen, verse fourteen. And we've gone over a lot of this stuff. Okay, so this is kind of review for some people. Principal governing kings. When you come to the land which the Lord your God is giving you, and possess it and dwelling it, and say I will set a king over
me like all the nations that are around me. You shall surely set a king over you whom your Lord, God chooses one from among you, your brethren, you shall set as king over you. You may not set a foreigner over you who is not your brother. But he shall not multiply horses for himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt to multiply horses. For the Lord has said to you, you shall not return that way again.
Neither shall he multiply wives for himself, lest his heart turn away, nor shall he greatly multiply silver and gold for himself. So these are guidelines for a king. When they Israelites desire a king, there to be a point. They are to a point, one chosen by God from among their brothers, not a foreigner. This ensures that a king shares the same covenetual obligations and cultural identity as
the people. As we know, the first king is King Saul, and he comes from Samuel, and Samuel annoints him with oil, so you know he chooses him, God chooses him to be king. So the people they have to know that. That's a guideline for becoming a king. Let's see, and then sixteen through seventeen, the king must not acquire many horses, wives, or excessive wealth. To prevent reliance on military power, foreign alliances, or materialism. These prohibitions aim to keep the king's heart
aligned with God's purposes. Isn't this interesting that we have Solomon, He had many wives, excessive wealth. Right, he asked for wisdom and he got all that stuff. So I thought that's kind of interesting when I was kind of studying. Right now now we're at Deuteronomy seventeen, verse eighteen. Also, it shall be when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write for himself a copy of this book, this law, and a book for the
one before the priest of Levites. It shall be with him, and he shall read it all the days of his life, and he shall may that he may learn to fear the Lord is God, and be careful to observe all the words of this law and these statutes, that his heart may not be lifted above his brethren, he may not turn aside from the commandment to the right hand or to the left, and that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he and his children in the midst of Israel. This is a king's duty to the law.
The king is to write for himself a copy of the law, read it all his life, and follow it carefully. This personal personal engagement with the law ensures that the king remains humble, obedient, and just leading the Nabel, leading the Nabel, leading the nation in righteousness vastly important. And then the king is instruction around themself. Yeah, we already talked about that. The guide, the guidelines for kingship. We
already talked about that. No evidence, we already talked about that perfect Well, the only thing left is going to be the practical applications for you guys. Upholding justice ensure that justice is pursued with integrity and thoughtfulness and thoroughness in your community, reflecting God's standards. Yes, respect for others. Recognize and respect the role of leaders and authorities, Understanding
that God given responsibility to maintain order. Yes, it would be nice if everybody that's in government follows God's law or God follows what God has to say, or you know, we're Christians, but unfortunately we don't have that now, right. I know, Roman's thirteen says certain things, you know, and it's it's kind of hard to discern us certain things with the government that we have, you know, like sometimes
we have people in power that are. But you know it's it's we we get give We get people given to us in power because we of our disobedience. So you want to have disobedience, then here you're gonna have this king or this president or this dictator whatever. It's Uh, it's it's sad. But you know we there's people doing abortions, and people doing this and that and things that go against God and and uh stirring up. Uh, you know, God to give you a leader that this is not
going to be what we want. What you want respect for authority, recognize the respector old leaders. Where he talked about that leadership and accountability encourage leaders to be accountable to God's word, ensuring that they lead with humility and righteousness. Okay. Personal devotion to scripture like the king, commit to regular reading and meditation on Scripture to guide or decisions and actions. That's what I'm talking about. That's why this this this
study is so important. We're reading God's word every single Sunday so and every Wednesday. So I would just encourage you guys to stick with this and also encourage you to share the show with people that need this message. Okay, it's just vastly important during this time, especially because it is just as you could tell, people need this right. So, okay, that's enough of that chapter. The only thing I can kind of tell you guys about is is there any
scriptures that connect? Yes, we have justice and righteousness In Macaus six'. Eight he has shown you a man is. Good what does The lord require of you but to act, justly to love, mercy and to walk homely with Your. God respect for. AUTHORITY i talked about It romans thirteen to, One romans thirteen. One, SORRY i think that the screen Froze romans thirteen to. One let every soul be subject
to the government. Authorities, yeah we already talked about, that but uh, yeah study, that and we need to do a deep study and dive on. That when we get To, romans we'll, help we'll do a really deep dive on. That leadership and humility One peter five two through. Three be shepherds Of god's, flock that is among, you watching over them not out of a compulsion, compulsion but because it Is god's, will not out of greed but out of, eagerness but lording it over to entrusted, you but being
examples to the. Flock, okay so, yes that was really awesome good. Stuff we so the reflect of the Word god's Word, torah meaning the law or instruction of fighting the king's. Rule, OKAY i think that was enough of that. Chapter we are going to flip to my notes and go to chapter. Eighteen it's NICE i have two phones now because of the comment that one of the somebody made or they're, like, hey you need to switch to The you got to get to your notes a little, faster.
BUDDY i think it was definitely a good, comment AND i am doing my very. Best deuteronomy eighteen is going to cover the portion of the priest And. Levites we have about fifteen minutes, left SO i think that this would be okay to. Finish we'll try to do our very best to get done in about fifteen minutes BECAUSE i try to keep it in about two. HOURS i want to keep you guys too long. Here deuteronomy, Eighteen verse, one the, priest The, levites all the tribe Of levi
shall have no part nor inheritance With. Israel so he's reminding them once again about no inheritance for The. Levites they shall not eat the offerings of The lord made by fire and his. Portion therefore they shall not have no inheritance among their. Brethren The lord is their, inheritance and he said to, them and this shall be the
priest due from the. People for those who offer a, sacrifice whether it is a bull or they shall give to the priest the, shoulder the, cheeks and the, stomach the fistful of your, grain and your new, wine and your, oil and the first of your fleece of your. Sheep you shall give. Him for The lord Your god has chosen him out of all your tribes to stand to minister in the name of The lord him and his sons.
Forever so if a levite comes from any of your, gates from where he dwells Among, israel and comes with you all that desire of his mind to the place which The lord, chooses then he may serve the name of The, lord His, god and his, brethren the levite stew who stand there before The, lord they shall have equal portions to eat besides what comes from the sale of his. Inheritance, okay so. Listen deuteronomy one through eight outlines the provision for the levitical, priests emphasizing the role
and the community's responsibility to support them the divitical. Priests, indeed the whole tribe Of levi shall have no portion or inheritance With. Israel they shall eat the, babe they shall eat the offerings made by fire to The, lord for that is their. Inheritance so we have that going.
On and Then deuteronomy. Eighteen the chapter assumes that the place is not the, events the provision of the vedical, Priest so The hebrew term nack a law refers to the inheritance or, possession emphasizing that their portion is The lord. Himself their portion is The lord. Himself in verse three through, five which we went, over this provision is a perpetual, statue as The lord has chosen them to serve him
and bless his. Name, okay that's the, provision is going to be the, shoulder the, cheeks the stomach of the. Animals right, now we're going to go over avoid wicked, Customs avoid wicked, customs and that's going to Be deuteronomy nine through. Fourteen, Okay deuteronomy, eighteen verse, nine when you come into the land which The lord Of god is giving, you you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those.
Nations there shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or daughters pass through the, fire or no one who practices, witchcraft or a, southsayer or one who interprets, omens or a, sorcerer or one who can conjure, spells or a medium or a, spiritus or one who calls up the. Dead for, all one who calls up the dead is a. Medium. Right so for all who do these things are an abomination to The. Lord and because of the, abominations The lord Your god drives them
out from before. You you shall be blameless before The lord Your god for these, nations which you will dispose disposes. Dispossess dispose this. Dispossess listen to southsayers and. Diviners but as for, you The lord Your god has not appointed such for. You so that whole portion we need to. Understand, okay there is a lot of that going on, nowadays which you don't even. Know there's a lot of, witchcraft. Soothsayers what do you see on a lot of the street.
Corners you have somebody that wants to read your. Palm you have somebody that wants to give you a tora. Reading we have, psychics we have. Mediums we have witchcraft going on right. Now if you see a botanical place that has, candles if you go To Joanne's arts And, crafts, now what do you Mean joann's is, Not but that's a good. Place there's a bunch of witches that go in. There There's i'll give you an. Example my. Cousin i'm not going to say her name obviously Because i'm not
going to do that to. Her but it's crazy because my cousin and just went to my mom was telling me about. This it's on my mom's. Side she's, like, HEY i just saw this thing on Her. Facebook she erased, it but she ended up going To, Salem massachusetts and going to a yarn. Is but, uh she ended up going into this house but that she's gonna, stay and it's like an airbnb and there's a bunch Of Torah tora, cards tarat, carts tarot cards, everywhere there, is uh spell books and all this, stuff and she's all. EXCITED i didn't happy to be. There i'm, like oh my, Gosh i'm just praying for. HER i, KNOW i need to
pray for her so, much you, know pray for. Her but you, Know i'm not gonna tell you her, name but because that's kind of embarrassing AND i don't want, to you, know do. That BUT i was so. SURPRISED i haven't talked to my cousin in a, while and she's a very nice, person you, know SO i don't
know what she's getting. Into but we have to be more mindful of this because even though, nowadays you, KNOW i, mean there's probably a lot of people that listen to cult and conspiracy that know about this type of, stuff you know WHAT i, mean BECAUSE i see the kind of episodes and some of the things that come out where people are, commenting AND i know there's some people that hit me up that are you, know there's probably people that pray against, me and some of these people
pray against my podcast and pray a bunch of stuff. Against there's some witches that go into churches and pray against. Churches there's some. Warlocks there's some people that are working with the devil hand in, hand you, know and that's just what, happens you. Know they they basically some people try to sell their soul for. Money they try to
sell their soul for. Fame they do, witchcraft they contract they talk to you, know when someone tries to tell, you, like, hey you want to talk to Your Aunt, margaret and you go there to talk to Your Aunt margaret and you Hear Aunt margaret's, voice it's Not Aunt. Margaret it's a. Demon. Okay that's what people need to. Understand so you. Can't you. Can't you're not going to be able to speak to
Your Aunt. Margaret, okay you can't pray to Your Aunt margaret and Your Aunt margu's can hear, you and then she's gonna be able to talk To god for. You. Okay you just pray Through jesus to talk To. God it's pretty. Easy but what's fascinating is people they get they get deceived into thinking that you. Know but the only place THAT i actually see where you, Know saul goes to the wick of The witch Of ORNDOR i think it is or. Something saul brings Up, samuel, right
And samuel's, like why are you bothering? Me you know it's In. Kings it's crazy like that. Happened but that's the only time THAT i saw actually someone that was dead. Come but you, KNOW i Think god let that. Happen but usually she's she was a medium that was probably just bringing demons and then having them act like there's, somebody but she was surprised to actually See, samuel like what you? Know Uh, SO i just want to tell you, guys a lot of these abominations are still happening. Today
protect your, children protect your. Mind know that there's different places that you probably don't want to go hang. Out there's a lot of witches in, places LIKE i, Said Joannes, fabrics arts and. Crafts you'll see people at these. Botanicals you, know a lot of people in Like haiti and all these different, countries you, Know. MEXICO i, Mean i'm not you, know there's just a lot of different places In america.
Too you, know you see a lot of it In america as, well where this stuff is going on, today and we are very very blind to. It unless you know signs of, it unless you read The, bible unless you know, conspiracies you're probably not going to see. It and the people would be able to walk among you and you would never notice it unless you study the type of stuff That i've studied and the type of stuff that you guys hopefully have studied before if you're
into conspiracy a little. Bit but, anyways, next let's see if there's anything about. That about that little portion right, there The israelites were warned against adopting the abominable practices of the nations they are, disposing such as child, sacrifice, divination and. Witchcraft The hebrew word teva is used to describe these practices as detestable or. Abominable fifteen through nineteen is what we're going to go over. Next let's go ahead and go back to my teaching. Points, okay let's go.
There it's going to Be deuteronomy, eighteen verse. Fifteen The lord Your god will raise up for you a prophet like me from your, midst from your. Brethren SO i
think he's this Is moses speaking. Right so The lord Your god will raise up you a prophet like me from your midst saying that like, me Like, moses from your brethren, him you shall hear according to all you desired for The lord Your god In horeb in the day of The, assembly, saying let me not hear again the voice of The, lord My, god nor let me see this great fire anyone less. Die and The lord
said to, me what what they have spoken is. GOOD i will raise up from them a prophet like, you from among their, brethren AND i will put my words in his, mouth and you shall speak to them ALL i commanded. Him and it shall be that whoever will not hear my words which he speaks in my, NAME i will require it of. Him but the prophet who presumes to speak a word in my name WHICH i have not commanded him to speak for he for who speaks in the name of other, gods that prophets shall.
Die and if you say in your, heart how shall we know the word which The lord has not. Spoken when a prophet speaks in the name of The, lord if the thing does not happen or come to. Pass that this thing which The lord has not, spoken the prophet has, spoken and presumptuously you shall not be afraid of. Him so in verses fifteen through, nineteen a, prophet The lord Your god will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your. Brothers you must listen to.
Him That's deuteronomy fifteenth, ninety which we talked About test of true. Prophecy verses twenty through twenty two provide criteria for discerning true prophets from false. Ones if what a prophet proclaims in the name of The lord does not take place or come to, pass then that is a message The lord has not. Spoken how many times do we have people, saying, well the end of the world's going to be On september twenty, fifth two thousand and,
one you know WHAT i, mean and it doesn't. Happen and then they, say, oh, WELL i got word from The lord the other day and it's really going to be twenty twenty, five you, know and it's, like that's not coming from The. Lord you. Know there's a lot of people that act, like, well The lord told, Me god told, Me god said to, me and, Uh we got to be very careful with false prophets or false
prophecies that people are telling. You don't depend on it to, happen because a lot of people are false prophets that are trying to act like they. Know you, know let's see a prophet Like. Moses in fifteen through, Nineteen god promises to raise up a prophet Like. Moses this prophet will Speak god's word and the people are commanded to listen to it to. Him The hebrew word nave means, prophet indicating one who speaks on behalf Of. God in twenty through twenty, two instructures are given on how to
dissert a true prophet from a false. One and for prophet speaks in the name of The, lord and The lord and the word does not come to pass that prophet has spoken. Presumptuously The hebrew word z implies arrogance or. Presumption we need to understand. That and so. Perfect so that was. PERFECT i, mean it's eleven oh nine right. Now so ALL i have for, you guys is just practical applications for this. Chapter and it looks like next week we're going to pick up In deuteronomy, nineteen we're
moving smoothly through The book Of. Deuteronomy all, right let's. Go so spiritual practical applications support spiritual, leaders recognize and support that those who are called to spiritual, leadership understanding their role in guiding the community in, faith reject occult, practices stay vigilant against modern forms of divination and occult, practices remaining faithful To god's. Word, so As, christians do you think we should be going to get our palm? Read?
No should we be going to get a psychic? Reading? No should we be going to ask someone to do a tarot card for? Us? No, no. No should we be practicing? Witchcraft? No should we be doing? Drugs? No should We should we be doing these? Things? No we should not be doing any of these ecult. Practices we need to stay faithful To god's. Word should we be going to ask a woman To, hey how you, doing? Ma'am can you? Ask can you talk to my Aunt martha that that died seven years? Ago BECAUSE i needed
to know where she left her purse or. WHATEVER i need to know where We're Uncle john's stocks are. Located, YEAH i, Know. Paul let me talk to An martha for. You and then a demon comes, Like, hi how you Being and you're, like, oh Aunt, martha you know WHAT i? Mean like all that is is just tricking you and deceiving you because that the demon can. Talk like whoever
reject a cult? Practices, Okay, now if somebody is doing a cult, practices somebody is doing, witchcraft someone's doing, divination are you supposed to go in and just you, know go fight them or beat them. Up, no you need to be treat them with respect and try to lead them to The lord and try to get them to stop doing. That but you, know just you need to stay faithful To god's word and do your best to lead them To. God if you, can't then you, know
plant the seeds and Let god take over. It, okay you can only do your best and make sure your spiritually equipped to handle people like, that because they could be, witchcraft they could be, deep and they can be so deep that there's you, know they're doing things for the, devil like sacrificing, whatever animals or maybe, KIDS i don't, know it gets real, crazy but you never know how
deep they are with the. Devil and if you're just some Weak, christian that's, uh you, know watered down and not ready to, go then you've got to be prepared for spiritual battle if you're gonna get involved in. Them, okay just lukewarm is WHAT i would. Say you got to make sure you're ready for. Battle listen To, jesus Acknowledge jesus as the ultimate fulfillment of the promised, prophet
and commit to following his. Teachings, yes Acknowledge jesus as the ultimate fulfillment of the promised, prophet and commit to follow. Me that's one, percent and his teachings are being taught On wednesday. Service check those. Out i'm all the way to The book Of luke and The gospel Of luke and it's getting really. Interesting discernment and, prophecy develop discernment to evaluate teachings and, prophecies ensuring the alignment scripture and
come to. Pass, so, yeah when someone is giving you a teaching or prophetic, word make sure it's lining up with scripture because there's so many people out there that are giving you end, times prophecies and end times that you know they have a little bit of man mixed in. There, OKAY i kind of talked about it last, episode where make sure that they have chapter And verse for everything they're teaching you in the way it lines, up because there's things that are made that where they're just, like,
look this prophecy's being the. Fido in nineteen forty, six The jews became a, nation you, Know israel became a nation. Again in the nineteen sixty, Four jerusalem became a you know, This and then they start adding this stuff where it's like this and this and this and all this other stuff is happening like And i'm not saying that they're wrong or. Right i'm just telling you that there's just
a lot of things that people add. On they write books about, it they freaking make tons of money off of, it and they do all these things and they can only.
Stick to this exact prophetic word that's gonna happen no matter. What the seven Year, tribulation then the Anti christ and the rapture in this and then people are writing book after book after book after, book and people are, like oh my, GOSH i can't wait for the.
Rapture i'm just ALL i gotta do is just be a Good christian and The rapture's gonna get. Me, like we don't know what's gonna. Happen you don't know when the rapture is gonna. Be is it gonna be, before is it gonna be, made is it gonna be? After or is it gonna be When jesus comes? Back are you gonna have to go through the? Tribulation, well it's supposed to be the rapture, before isn't? It isn't it? Pre isn't it one hundred? Percent we don't. Know we're
not one hundred percent on. That we do not. Know it just says we're gonna get caught. Up and a lot of people believe that getting caught up to heaven With jesus is when he returns in the. End, okay so just letting you guys know there's different interpretations of. Eschatology and uh SO i will pick up On deuteronomy nineteen next. Week as you guys could, TELL i kind of have a little better format. NOW i have kind of my notes on one end AND i got my other notes on this, one AND i can just which
