So if you want to look it up, go to Spotify Josh Monday and just go to my artist page and you'll see songs like keep Me Away, signs of things to come, call it how I see it. You'll see those.
I think. Let me see what it was. I think this was Thank you, Josh, you do. There was somebody was asking about the music. I think it was somebody was asking about the music. I can't remember who it was, but let me see, give me one second. Thank you. Okay, somebody was asking it. But anyways, yeah, so if you want to check that out. But anyways, thank you so much for joining me. Appreciate it. And like I always do, I always do shout outs for people that did comments.
So on Wednesday Service we had MDMP twenty two STAVO. Thank you, bro, I'm here for it. I appreciate you. I know that you've been listening to a lot of the episodes. I appreciate it. Magical Musician Mark nine verse forty nine. Good Shi t BROSIF appreciate you a lot. I love listening while I'm at work, and thank you. I can't wait. Oh, I can't wait for Sunday service. Have a good week, y'all. So I think Magical Musician was the one asking about the songs or about my music.
So yeah, check that out and let me know what you think. Aaron. Yes, I'm a bro. Cool ar good to know. You know. It's hard because I don't really get to see you guys, Aaron. Me and my wife rescue animals and I saved that the guy from a sewer drain. Ah, that's awesome, bro. After I got him warm and fed, I sent a pick of my wife and the cat stuck his tongue out. It was hilarious. That's awesome. That's cute. Yeah. I have a cat too. I have a orange cat as well, very interesting. And
I have two dogs. I have a huskies, well one husky and then one shepsky. So yeah, I'm uh. I like animals too. I mean I like animals to a certain extent. Uh. The reason why I say that is I love animals, but my shepsky. Oh man, he has so much energy and he does a lot to my backyard. And uh, it doesn't mean I don't love him. It just means that he just he just frustrates me. But anyways, it's all good, Isaac two one four, Thank you, thank you,
thank you for the combent. I appreciate you, Loco Matrix mystic. Thank you Josh for what you do all I know. Also, I know Jesus had siblings, but did they have gospels themselves about Jesus. Well, we have Jude, right, Jude is Jesus's brother, and then we have James. James is Jesus's brother,
and that's actually in the Holy Bible. Just be careful a local matrix mystic, because you'll probably find some gospels that are actually gnostic where they actually take a character out of the Bible and they act like they're writing from their perspective. I don't know what that is. In the corner there was tripping me out, But anyways, I think my green screen is acting weird. But anyways, yeah, so we do have two of Jesus's siblings in the Bible. The Book of Jude and James. Okay, so you could
check both of those out. I will be going over there, going over there. I'll be going over those at a you know, in the future, at a future point, you know, once we get to them. And I hope you stick around and we're able to do that. Angela Kelly, once again, thank you, thank you for all that you do. I have a blessed week. Thank you, Angela. I really appreciate you. You have a blessed week also, and everybody that lists and including the people that comment, you guys have an
amazing week. You know, just keep digging into the word. This is going to help you through you through your everything you go through, and it's just going to be amazing. We also have looks like last week magical position. Yeah, Angela, Yes, Cameron, what's up? What's up? Bruce? Thank you? And Arnold, thank you so much. I appreciate you commenting, and I really you know, I really appreciate it so much. It's it's
a blessing. So I want to let you guys know this morning, I woke up about four fifty am right now, it's about almost nine to twenty pm, right but I woke up at four fifty and I got a phone call for a hit hydrant. You know, when I'm on call, So I was helping out the other person that's all called because they live so far away. So when you get a hit hydrant, usually it's pretty crazy. So water is usually shooting way up in the air. You gotta pop off a valve, you gotta put it on there,
you know, you got to set up traffic control. You gotta do a lot of stuff, you know, and then you gotta meet with the police, get the police report number, take a picture of the vehicle, take a picture of all this stuff. So it was an interesting morning. So yeah, but the good thing is, praise God, there was a check valve on the hydrant and it actually kind of stopped it, and it was just a little bit of water spring up in there. It wasn't too bad. And thank God that we safely got that I got safely
got that thing off. Praise God for that. But I don't know why I even told you guys about that, but oh maybe because I just want to tell you guys, I'm probably just a smich tired today because I had like a twelve hour day at work. So I will do my best to enjoy my time with you guys and do my best to teach even though I had a very long day to day. All right, let's go, all right, yeah, I'm here. Cool. And we finished Leviticus last week, if you guys remember, and now we are
in the Book of Numbers. So I just want to let you guys know. The Book of Numbers picks up where Exodus left off. Right, So Leviticus was all about Leviticus is LEVI try to LEVI right the vitical priests. So we went over all that, every stipulation and everything they have to do and everything to make make basically the people as holy as God can make them right. And Uh, praise God that we don't have to do all that stuff levitical law. Uh sacrifices, the trust, pass, offering,
the all these different offerings. Thank God that God sin has only begotten son to die for our sins because if it makes us holy, so praise God. So I just want to let you guys know that. So Numbers picks up where Exodus left off. The Book of Numbers is a book in the Bible that records the Israelites journey after leaving Egypt. And their time wandering in the wilderness. Okay. The book focuses on the consequences of the Israelites disobedience
and lack of faith in God. Some of the key themes that we're gonna be talking about is Israel's journey. The book describes Israel's journey towards the Promised Land, which is a land of Canaan God's order. The book shows God brought order to Israel's society after they left. So that's something I'll tell you. When I started reading the Bible and I started getting into the Bible, started started, you know, when I got saved, I noticed that God starts to when you start being obedient to God, he
starts to put your life in order. Now does it happen overnight. No, it takes a while, but you just kind of you keep on truck in and you keep on reading, You keep on being obedient. Sometimes you slip up here and there, but you just keep on trying and trying and trying, and eventually God's going to have your life in order. You know, because before I got saved, even if you do feel like you didn't, it wasn't chaotic. It was because you're not saved. But for me, my
life was pretty chaotic back then. And once I got saved, once I started being obedient, it just slowly everything started getting in order. And God lined me up to be able to have a house. God lined me up to be able to have children. God lined me up for being able to have a career. God lined me up for me to be able to do a show like this,
to do podcasts and did music. And he lined me up because I was doing everything what basically it says in one Corinthians ten thirty one, it says, whether therefore you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. So once I started doing things for the glory of God, God started putting my life in order. So that's something that God wants to do for the Israelites in the Book of Numbers, So
you're going to see that God's consequences. The book shows how God punished israel for their disobedience and lack of faith. So what do we learn from me even telling you that the Bible, the Book of Numbers is going to be about that is that God doesn't like disobedience and
he does not like lack of faith. When I went over to the Book of Mark and on Wednesday service, I was going over the fact that when Jesus was in his hometown or his family was there and everybody kind of had lack of faith and he was it just really made him not want to perform miracles and didn't want to. All he did was to heal a few sick people and went on to the next town. Because of the lack of faith. He was amazed by the lack of faith, and he also gets amazed by
the faith that is there. Right, So we don't want to be disobedient and we don't want to have lack of faith. We also, yeah, so just want to make sure you guys know that the structure of this book. What's the structure. The book is divided into sections, including a census the Israelis departure from Sinai and they're wandering in the wilderness. The book also includes a second census of a new generation and preparations to enter the Promise Land.
Moses obviously wrote the Taurus that you already know that. So and as we go through, you're going to see that the first census is men that are fighting age because they are they will be passing through some lands that do not take a liking to two and a half to three million Israelites passing through their city. They're gonna be fighting battles, right, So that's why the first one is about men that are a fighting age military. Right,
they're making sure, you know. And even in Israel, now when you're eighteen, you turn eighteen, you're gonna be in their military for at least two years, I believe, or I have to look at it. But which is something Let me, how can I put this something that would be beneficial to everybody in America if the politicians and the military industrial complex and all the different things didn't run our United States, if we didn't butt our nose into things that we shouldn't butt our nose into. Right.
It just the discipline and everything you learn when you do go in the military. It does. It can make you have order as well and discipline, you know it can. But some people they go off the deep end, you know. But I'm just saying it can help you throughout your everyday life. But let me just get back to the to the word of God, all right. So we kind of went over that. You guys kind of have a little intro of the Book of Numbers. Now, let's read it.
So numbers one, verse one. Now, the Lord spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai in the Tabernacle of Meeting on the first day of the seventh month, in the day in the second year, after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying, well, first of all, let's look at that, so you see how accurate God is being like. He's not trying to make it like
some kind of fiction. He's letting you know that this is real, and he's actually giving you accurate month, accurate year when he's explaining this, when Moses is explaining this.
But you know, all scriptures inspired by God, right, so God is inspiring some him to write like this, saying, take a census of all the congregation of the children of Israel, by their families, by their fathers houses, according to the number of names every male individually from twenty years old, and above all who are able to go to war in Israel. You see, you and Eron shall number them by their armies, and you shall and with you there shall be a man from every tribe, each
one the head of his father's house. Why would they do that to make sure that the census is fair, because these are they're counting people that are able to go to war, and God wants them to know exactly who's gonna be available, because when they call on them, they need to make sure that they go to the house. They're gonna count them, and they're gonna let them know. The reason why we are counting is because we are
trying to find out everybody that's available. When we get down right, that's pretty much it, you know, and each one the head of his father's house. So that's understandable. Now we are at numbers one. Verse five. These are the names of the men who shall stand with you.
From Reuben As the son of Shador from Simon Slam the son of ZII Shadai from Judah Nahassan, the son of Aminadab from Ishkar Nathaniel, the son of Zwar from zebelen Ilieb, the son of Elan, from the Sons of Joseph, from Ephraim Alishma, the son of a'm ahead a'm Ahad from Manassai Galliam, the son of Padazor from Benjamin Abadan the son of Godoni, probably not saying that one right.
From Dan Hazir, the son of Amashaddai from Ashir, Pegel the son of Akran from gad Elsaf the son of Duel, from Naftali arah O wait Ahurah, the son of Innan. Those who were chosen from the congregation leaders, from their father's tribes, heads of the divisions. In Israel. The congregation
means the community, Okay. Then Moses and Aaron took these men who had been mentioned by name, and they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month, and they recited their ancestry by families, by their father's houses, according to the number of names from twenty years old and above, each one individually, as the Lord committed Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness
of SINAI. I don't know about you guys, but I was in the military, So to me, this is pretty cool. They're lining them up, they're getting them ready, they're probably pumping them up, and they're like, all right, you guys are gonna be the warriors for the Israelites. Let's go. That's what I'm seeing, Okay. So I'm sure it's a little intimidating because we go to war and we have guns, we have blackhawks, we have apaches, we have all these different things going on, tanks, drones, we have all the
best military technology you can have in the whole entire world. Right. And another thing that we have is we fight against somebody that's a human. These people are fighting against giants. Okay, So it's a little more intimidating when you join this
army as compared to you join a United States army. Right, So, all right, now, the children of Reuben, Israel's oldest son, their genealogies by their families, by their father's house, according to the numbers of names every male individually from twenty years old and above all who are able to go to war. Those who were numbered of the tribe of Ruben were forty six thousand, five hundred. Okay, like I told you, two point three two point five to three
million Jews or Israelites are here. Okay, there's a lot. So that's why you're seeing these big knit numbers. And we're going to continue from the child of Simeon their genealogies by their families, by their father's house. Of those who were numbered according to the number of names every male individually from twenty years old and above all who were able to go to war. Those who were numbered of the tribe of Simian were fifty nine thousand, three hundred.
So something I thought was interesting is not interesting, But something that's that you understand is that's the reason why it's called the Book of Numbers. Okay, they are counting the people the census, and also they're counting the number of the Like I said, these men from each tribe, so they're getting ready for traveling and make sure that everybody's set up for when they need them for battle.
From the children of God, their genealogies by their families, by their father's house recording the numbers of names for twenty years old and above all who were able to go to war. Those who were numbered of the tribe of God were forty five thousand, six hundred and fifty children from the children of Judah, the genealogies by their families for the father's house, corning the numbers and names from twenty years old and above who were all able
to go to war. Those who were numbered of the tribe of Judah were seventy four thousand, six hundred from the children of Ishkar. You know, you don't need that middle part. It says there were fifty four thousand. You know, we'll read the middle part, who cares their genealogies by their families from their father's house, recording the numbers of names from twenty years old, above all who were able to go to war. Those who were numbered of the
tribe of Ishkar. It's the car we're fifty four thousand, four hundred from the child of Zebulon, their genealogies by their families by their father's house, according to the number of names from twenty years old and above all who
were able to go to war. Those who were numbered of the tribe of Zebulon were fifty seven thousand, four hundred from the sons of Joseph, the children of Aphrium the genealogy of their family by their father's house, agording the numbers of names from twenty year olds and above
were all able to go to war. Those who were numbered of the tribe of Ephrium, or forty thousand, five hundred from the children of Manassa, the genealogies from their families by their father's house according to the numbers of names from twenty years old and above all who are
able to go to war. Those who are numbered the tribe of Nasa were thirty two thousand, two hundred from the children of Benjamin, their genealogies, their families, but father's a house accorded the number of names from twenty years old and above all who are able to go to
the war. Those who are numbered the tribe of Benjamin were thirty five thousand, four hundred from the triba Dan, their genealogies by their families, by their father's house, according to the number of names from twenty years old and above all who were able to go to the war. Of those who are numbered of the tribe Dan, or sixty two thousand and seven hundred from the children of Ashtar Ashar to Ashtar oh my gosh Asher sounds a lot like Aspen my son, their genealogies by their families,
by their father's house. According to the number of names from twenty years old and above, who were all able to go to war, who were all numbered of the tribe of Asher were forty one thousand, five hundred from the children of Neftali, their genealogies by their families, by their father's house, scorning the number of names from twenty years old and above all who were able to go to the war. Those who numbered the tribe of naph tally were fifty three thousand, four hundred. There we go,
we finished that little portion. Wow. Those these are the ones who are numbered whom Moses and Aaron numbered with the leaders of Israel, twelve men, each one representing his father's house. So all who are numbered of the children of Israel by their father's house, excuse me, I don't want to yawn, sorry, from twenty six years old and above? Who were all able to go to war in Israel?
Who were numbered from six hundred, six hundred and three thousand, five hundred and fifty, They were from twenty years old and above. And I say twenty six, my god, twenty years old and above. That's not how many men were able to go to war. Six hundred and thirty thousand out five hundred and fifty. So they had a quite a big army. But the Levites were not numbered among
them by their father's tribe. For the Lord had spoken to Moses saying, only the tribe of Levi, you shall not number nor take a census of them among the children of Israel, but you shall appoint the Levites over the Tabernacle. Right, so we already know that the Levites are the priestly line. We know that Levi's they're actually they can still get down though they're pretty crazy because if you remember, Levi was involved with when Deny got u, when Deni got raped, he went through and killed all
those people in that tribe. So they get down. So but they God shows them to be the vitical priests. Right, But you shall appoint the Levite over the Tabernacle of the Testimony, over all its furnishings, over all the things that belong to it. They shall carry the tabernacle and all its furnishings. They shall attend to it and camp round the tabernacle. And when the Tabernacle is to go forward, the Levites shall take it down. When the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites shall set it up. Now,
what's up with that? You know? How come they just can't get some servants to help or whatever? You know, they're because obviously they're priest so they are more holy, and they are not unclean usually, so they're able to touch this stuff. If you just get somebody random to take down the tabernacle they're making it unholy or unclean. The outsider who comes near shall be put to death. You see, that's that's because God doesn't want to be unclean.
The children of Visuals shall pitch their tents, everyone by his own camp, everyone one by his own standard, according to their armies. But the Levites shall camp around the Tabernacle of the Testimony, which is going to be in the center of the camp, because we want to keep God in the center of everything we do, including our marriage, our career, everything, right, Okay, So the children of Israel shall pins their tense, everyone by his own camp, everyone
by his own standard, according to their armies. But the Levites shall camp around the Tabernacle of the Testimony, that there may be no wrath of the congregation of children of Israel, and the Levites shall keep charge of the Tabernacle of Testimony. Thus the children of Israel did according to all that the Lord commanded Moses. So they did. All right, Let's go, man, I can't believe I'm yawning. I don't usually yawn It's probably because I had to
wake up early today. I'm so sorry not wake up early, but go to work early. Let's go. I'm good. I'm having a good time though. I'm enjoying myself. Praise God. Let me switch to numbers two on my notes. Here we go numbers two of verse one, the tribes and leaders by armies, and the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, everyone of the children of Israel shall camp by its own standard, besides the emblems of his father's house. They shall camp some distance from the tabernacle of meeting on
the east side, towards the rising of the sun. Those are the standard of the forces. Will Judah shall camp according to their armies, and Nashan, the son of Aminadab, shall be the leader of the children of Judah and his armies was numbered at seventy four thousand and five hundred. Now, when I was a sergeant man, I had five troops underneath me. At one time when I was at we were doing a t not ait sorry, annual training, and
it was only like three weeks. And it's hard to look over five people, you know, So you can imagine when you have this many thousand troops. You know, there's a lot of troops, there's a lot of different personalities, there's a lot of people that do listen there's some that don't. There's a lot of people that lack of discipline. Some have a good discipline, different upbringings, all these different things that you deal with when you're dealing with soldiers.
That people grew up in different areas. They have different lingo, they have different slang, they talk different. Some people came from up north. Some people are from San Diego, some people are from LA. That's two different people. You talk to someone that's from San Diego, you talked to someone from La. There's there's that's even two different areas, and they got different lingo, and they they're they're a little bit a little bit different, you know. But that's just
an example. But those who camp next to him shall be the tribe of Eshkar. Nathaniel, the son of Zor, shall be the leader of the children of Ishakar, and his army is numbered fifty four thousand, four hundred. Then comes the tribe of Zebulon that elabbed the son of Helan, shall be the leader of the children of Zebelon, and his armies are numbered at fifty seven thousand, four hundred.
All that were numbered according to their armies of the forces of Judah, one hundred and eighty six thousand, four hundred. These shall break camp first. Imagine a bunch of trained soldiers. You know that many there yeah on the south side shall be the standard for the forces of Reuben according to their armies, and the leader of the children of Reubens shall be Eliezer Wait eliz Zu, the son of Shadur, and his armies was four hundred wait forty six thousand,
five hundred. Those who camp next to him shall be the tribe of Simeon, and the leader of the children of Simeon shall be Shamuli and zurish Daie and his armies numbered at fifty nine thousand, three hundred. Then comes the tribe of God. The leader of the children of God shall be a less saff the son of Raoul Rule, and his army is numbered at forty five thousand, six hundred fifty. And all who were numbered according to the armies of forces were reubened one hundred and fifty one thousand,
four hundred and fifty. They shall be second to break camp. All the tabernacles of meetings shall move out with the camp of the Levites in the middle of the camps as they camp, so they shall move out everyone in its place by their standards. You see, God has what God has order. God also, like I said, is in the center of the camp, and we should always put God in the center of everything we do. Right. So they're doing right by God by putting them in the center,
you know. And here we go. Sorry, Oh my gosh, wow, So sorry, guys. I'm not usually yawning like this. I have to go to LA in the morning, so I can't do a show in the morning, so it has to it had to be tonight, you know. And it's okay, Lord, Father God, in the name of Jesus, I just pray that you give me the you give me the knowledge, and you allow me to not be tired. You allow me to get through this. I only have another hour
and a half to go. Lord, if you could please keep me grounded, keep me focused, and let your Holy Spirit teach through me. Lord Jesus name Amen. On the bus side shall be the standard of the forces of Ephrium according to their armies, and the leader of the children of Ephrium shall be Alishama, the son of a Mahud and his armies was one hundred and forty five or one hundred and forty thousand, five hundred. Next to
him comes the tribe of Manassa. The leader of the children of Manassa shall be Galimil the son of Pudazor, and his army shall be numbered thirty two thousand, two hundred. Then comes the tribe of Benjamin. The leader of the children of Benjamin shall be Abadan and the son of Giddo Nai, and his army was numbered at thirty five thousand, four hundred. All who were numbered according to their armies of the forces with Ephrium one hundred and eight one hundred,
they shall be the third to break camp. The standard of the forces with Dan shall be the north side according to their armies, and the leader of the children of Dan shall be Azir, the son of Amashahdai. I'm trying to say, miss Shadai and his armies was numbered at sixty two thousand, seven hundred. Those who camp next to him shall be the tribe of Asher, and the leader of the children of Asher shall be Pegel, the son of a Kran. His army is numbered at forty
one thousand, five hundred. Then comes the tribe of Naftali. The leader of the children of Israel shall be Aha, the son of a Nan and his army shall be numbered fifty three thousand, four hundred. All who were numbered of the forces of Dan one hundred and fifty seven weight one hundred and fifty seven thousand, six hundred. They shall break cap lasts with their standards. These are the ones who were numbered of the children of Israel by
their father's houses. All who were numbered according to their armies. Of the forces were six hundred and three thousand, five hundred and fifty. But the Levites were not numbered among the children of Israel. The Lord commanded Moses. Thus the children of Israel did according to all the Lord commanded Moses. So they camped by their standards, and so they broke camp. Each won by his family according to their father's houses. Okay.
So this is the Book of Numbers, all right. So this is what it's about, just the beginning part, all right. Stick with me. Everything's gonna get interesting as we go, Okay. And I just want to let you guys know that numbers one through four covers like the first year. Okay, when you get to numbers five, that's it's gonna be after a full year in the wilderness. Okay. So that's what's happening here. So let's go ahead and go to
numbers three and check this one out. Numbers three, verse one. Now, these are the records of Aaron and Moses when the Lord spoke with Moses on Mount Sinai. These are the names of the sons of Aaron. Okay, here we go, we get a trink. Okay, first born, Okay get okay, here we go. Nadab the firstborn, the Ibehu Liaisar, and it's Amar. These are the names of the sons of Aaron, the anointed priest, whom he consecrated to minister as priests.
Nadab and Abihu had died before the Lord when they offered profane fire before the Lord, and the wilderness of Sionai when they had no children. Okay, so those two, it's Nadab and Abihu. I think when we were reading Leviticus, I think it was like, I don't remember which chapter I think it just said. I don't know if it actually said their names, there'd have to check. But I mean, it's all right, well, we find the names out here.
If it didn't say it. If it did say it, then maybe I just breezed through this crazy spot though for sure. I don't know if you guys are If you guys did go through the Leviticus study with me, I know a lot of you did, but if some of you didn't. They it's just like obedience is key, especially if you're going to take on the role of priests. Okay, So when the Lord, the Lord had specifics instructions to these people, okay, specific to the Levites, and you don't
go outside of those bounds. If God wants you to worship a certain way he told especially if he tells you exactly how to worship him and you start going out of bounce and do it different things. What you're gonna do is if you have this cup of water, if you're watching on Uh, there's a couple of water here. All I gotta do is put a couple drops of poison in here, and I can make this whole cup of water deadly, right, So poison will poison this whole
cup of water. So God doesn't want them to start didn't want them to start offering profane fire before the Lord and start doing pagan worship. So he destroyed them. He killed them. Does that sound harsh, Yeah, it sounds harsh to us. And our society and the way we live now. But if God was able to speak to us like he spoke to Moses, right, then we would know for sure obviously that God is real. Also, God is there in the tabernacle, right He's his presence is
in is with them. And basically he was trying to make them holy. So when you start bringing unholy things into the worship, God has to put an end to it immediately. He obviously knows that these two are like a cancer, and he's got to get rid of them or else it's going to cause the people of the children of Israel and the people of Israel to start doing pagan practices. And as soon as you start doing that, it becomes a problem. Okay, So he had to get rid of that fast. And I do not blame him
for what he was doing, because obviously God knows best. Now. Do I feel bad for Aaron the fact that his two sons got killed like that? Of course, you know I do. And when it did happen, Moses was telling him to not even not even more, which is crazy. I'm not laughing about it. I'm just like, man, that's nuts. Numbers three, verse five. Now we're gonna go the Levites serve in the tabernacle. Okay. When the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, bring the tribe of Levi near and present them before
Erin the priest, that they may serve him. And they shall attend to his needs and the needs of the whole congregation before the Tabernacle of meeting, to do the work of the tabernacle. Also they shall attend all the furnishings of the Tabernacle of meeting, and the needs of the children of Israel, to do the work of the tabernacle. And you shall give the Levites to Erin and his sons. They are given entirely to him from among the children
of Israel. So you shall appoint Aarin and his sons as they shall attend to their priesthood by the outider who comes near. But the outsider who comes near shall be put to death. So the outsiders will they would make them unholy. Okay, we're unclean because these outsiders are not worshiping correctly. So God wants them to not come around. Okay. Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, now behold, I myself have taken the Levites from the children of Israel.
Instead of every firstborn who opens up the wound among the children of Israel. Therefore the Levites shall be mine, because of all the firstborn are mine. On that day that I struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, I sanctify to myself all the firstborn in Israel, both man and beast, It shall be mine. I am the Lord, so he said, saying, I myself have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel. Instead of every firstborn who opens up the womb among the children of Israel.
Therefore the Levites shall be mine. Okay. So the Levites are gonna be Gods. They're gonna be the priestly line, the high priest, and God is saying that they are mine because of all the firstborn are mine. Right on that day I struck all the firstborn in the line of Egypt, I sanctified to myself all the firstborn in Israel, both man and beast, they shall be mine. Okay. So I was just rereading that verse. Very interesting, now the census of the Levites commanded. So now we are in
chapter three, verse fourteen. Then the Lord spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai saying, number the children of Levi by their father's house, by their families. You shall number every male from a month old and above. So Moses numbered them according to the word of the Lord, as he commanded. These were the sons of Levi by their names Gershon, Coath, Marii, Muri, rah Rai. Those were the names of the sons of Gershon, by their families
Livni and Shamai. The sons of Kohath of their families Amram, Hayes, wait ashre Hebron and well Zil. The sons of Mary Mariaih by their families Malai and Mushi. Oh, I'm glad my name is not Mushi. These are the families of the Levites by their father's houses numbers three verse twenty one. From Gershon came the family of Libanites and the family the Shimites. These were the families of the Grishaunknites. These were numbered according to the number of all the male
from a month old and above. Of those who were numbered were seven five hundred. The families of the Gershonites were to camp behind the tabernacle westward, and the leader of the father's house of the Gershonites was elissaf Eleah Saff,
the son of Leo. The duties of the children of Gershon of the tabernacle Amedia include the tabernacle, the tent with its covering, the screen for the door of the tabernacle, a meeting, the screen for the door of the court, the hangings of the court which are around the tabernacle, and the altar and their cords. According to all the work relating to them, from Kohath came the family.
Of the Amma Amramightes, the family of the Rites, the family of the Hebron Knights, the.
Family of the Uziolites. Those are the family of the Hittites, the co Hitis co Hits, I don't know. According to the number of all the males from a month old and above, there were eight thousand, six hundred keeping charge of the sanctuary. The families of the children of Kohath were to camp on the south side of the tabernacle, and the leader of the father's house. Of the families of co Heights were Elisafan and the son of Ozio.
Their duty included the arc, the tab the table, the lampstand, the altars, the utensils of the sanctuary, which they ministered the screen of all the work relating to them. So God is telling them exactly what they need to do, exactly detail what they're responsible for. And that way, nobody can you know when they knew when they need to move right, nobody's gonna be able to say, uh, oh, I don't know what I'm supposed to do. They're all supposed to know what they are supposed to do. Everybody
is assigned a certain task. God has order here. Okay, this is order. This is like military type movement, right like, you're gonna be in charge of this. You're gonna be in charge of that, You'll be in charge of this, You'll be in charge of this. I'm gonna trust that you guys are gonna do that, and I'm gonna verify
that you did it. This is order, okay. Numbers three, verse thirty two and aliers are the son of Aaron, the priest was to be chief over the leaders of the Levites, with the oversight of those who kept charge of the sanctuary. From Mariahs came the family of the Mahalites and the family of the Mooshites, Mushites, the Mushets,
I don't know. These were the families of Marai, and those were numbered according to the number of all the males from a month old and above were six thousand, two hundred and the leader of the father's house of the family of Maurai and Zuril were the son of abe Hail. These were to camp on the north side of the tabernacle. And the appointed duty. You see, you're gonna have somebody camping on the north, someone camping on the south. They're they're watching, even though they are the
levites that are still watching. But they're going to be able to be there when you know, God probably placed them close to what they're responsible for. Let's see the leader of the father's house of the family of Zumurai, where Zuril and the son of abe Hail, these were to camp on the no side of the tabernacle. See,
they're camping on the north side. And appointed duty of the children of Ryan include the boards of the tabernacle, its bars, its pillars, its sockets, its utensils, all the work relating to them, and the pillars of the court all around in their sockets and their pegs and their cords. You see, everybody is here to serve God right in some type of way, whether they're Levites or anybody in their tribe, they're all there to serve the Lord. Right.
So moreover, those who were to camp before the tabernacle on the east, before the tabernacle the meeting, were Moses, Aaron and his sons.
Keeping charge of the sanctuary to meet the needs of the children of Israel. But the outsider who came near was to be put to death. All who were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron numbered at the commandment of the Lord, by their families, all the males from a month old and above. We're twenty two thousand. All right, we're at numbers three verse forty. There's not like a whole bunch of commentary I could do on these different things. So, you know, similar to when I
was reading the Book of Leviticus. I don't mean to just be reading the Bible to you guys. It's just hard to do to give commentary on those areas because it's pretty self explanatory. We have numbers three verse forty
Levites dedicated instead of the firstborn. Then the Lord said to Moses number all the firstborn miles of the children of Israel from a month old and above from a month old and above where we at, you shall take the Levites from I am the Lord, oh and above, and take the number of their names, And you shall take the Levites for me, I am the Lord, instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel, and the livestock of the Levites, instead of all the firstborn
among the livestock of the children of Israel. So Moses numbered all the firstborn. And just let you guys know, Moses is Aaron's brother, right, So Moses is a Levite. Okay. So Moses numbered all the firstborn among the children of Israel, as the Lord commanded them, and all the firstborn males according to the number of names from a month old and above. Of those who were numbered, of them were
twenty two thousand, two hundred and seventy three. Okay. And now I could see why, because when I was studying this, I was listening to these pastors teach, and in one hour time they were going over the first four chapters. Now I could see why. There's not much breakdown or commentary that you could really do with these. Let me see no additional text there. I will jump to my other notes. Okay, Then the lords this is going to
be numbers three, verse forty four. Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, take the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel, and the livestock of the Levites instead of their livestock. The Levites shall be mine. I am the Lord, and for the redemption of the two hundred and seventy three of the firstborn of is the children of Israel, who were more than the number of Levites, You shall take five shekels for each one individually.
You shall take them in the currency of the shekel of the sanctuary, the shekel of twenty jiras. You shall give the money which with which the access number of them is redeemed to Aaron and his sons. Let's see, I'm going to just go through that again real quick. Take the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the childreen Israel, and the livestock of Levites instead of their livestock. Of the Leevites instead of their life, the Levites shall
be mine. I am the Lord, for the redemption of the two hundred and seventy three of the firstborn of Chisreen of Israel, who were more than the number of Levites, you shall take five shekels for each one individually, you shall take five shekels. All right, anyways, let's continue numbers three, verse forty nine. So Moses took the redemption money from those who were over and above those who were redeemed by the Levites, from the firstborn of the children of Israel.
He took the money and thousand, one thousand, three hundred and seventy five shekels according to the shekel to the sanctuary. And Moses gave the redemption money to Aaron and his sons according to the word of the Lord, as the Lord commanded Moses. So the Lord is commanding that. You see, that's the difference between what we have going on now and what they had going on back then. So let's check this out. See, okay, it's got a little bit
of depth to it. Duties. Okay, all right, let's check it out, and we're going to be numbers four, verse one. Duties of the son of Cohath. You see all this order that we're finding here. Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, take a census of the sons of Cohath from among the children of Levi. But their families by their father's house. From thirty years old and above even to fifty years old. All who are enter the service to do the work of the taberac of
the meeting. So it seems like they would accept them at thirty years old, and they can retire at fifty years old. So it looks like all who enter the service of work in the taberacle meeting tybernacular meeting. So that's pretty cool. Give twenty years of your life and keep that kicker retire. So numbers four verse four. This is the service of the sons of Cohof and the
tabernacular meeting relating to the most holy thing. When the camp prepares to journey, Aaron and his sons shall come, and they shall take down the covering veil cover of the arca testimony with it. They shall put it on a covering on badger skins, and spread over the cloth entirely of blue. They shall insert its poles. So now God has just given them a detailed account of what they need to do, how they need to take down the tabernacle, and how they need to you know, all
they need to prepare when they go on a journey. Right, So they're trying to make sure that each person is assigned a task, because when they need to move, they need to move, and everything that's holy needs to come with them. On the table the showbread, this is numbers four verse seven. On the table of showbread, they shall spread a blue cloth cloth and put it on the dishes, the pans, the bowls, the pitchers for pouring the showbread
shall be on it. They shall spread over them a scarlet cloth cover and cover the same with a covering of badger skins. And they shall insert its poles. And they shall take a blue cloth and cover the lamp stand of the light with its lamps, it's wick tremors, it's trays, and all it's oil vessels which they have serviced it. Then they shall put it with all the utensils and a covering badger skin and put it on
a carrying beam. So they're just God has just give them strict, strict instructions how to break down the tabernacle and giving each person an assigned duty. Over the golden this is going to be number four, verse eleven. Over the golden altar, they shall spread a blue cloth and cover it with a covering of badger skins. And they shall insert its poles. And they shall take all the utensils of service with which they minister and the sanctuary, put them in a blue cloth, cover them with the
covering of badger skins, and put them in a carrying beam. Also, they shall take away the ashes from the altar and spread a purple cloth over it, and they shall put it on its implements with which they minister. There the fire pans, the forks, the shovels, the basins, and all utensils in the altar, and they shall spread it a
covering of badger skins and insert its poles. And when Aaron and his sons had finished covering the sanctuary at all the furnishings of the sanctuary, when the camp is set to go, then the sons of Kohath shall come to carry them, but they shall not touch any holy thing lest they die. You understand, it's like if you're not part of the lineage, or if you're unclean, or you know you're a sinner, which all of them were. All of us are as well. But see Jesus makes
us holy. So if we were to go, let's say we could travel back in time, they would and they didn't know anything about us. They would probably think that we were unholy, because we'd be coming from outside of the Israelites, and with them not knowing that Jesus already paid for our sins and we would be we would now in the sight of God, we would be holy. Right, So praise the Lord that we are in this covenant. Right now, these are the things in the tabernacle, the
meeting which sons of Khath are to carry. So now God has given them strict instructions. This is going to be Chapter four, verse sixteen. The appointed duty of Eliezar, the son of Aaron, the priest, is the oil for the light, the sweet incense, the daily grain offering, the anointing oil, all the oversight of the tabernacles, and all that is in it with a sanctuary, and it's furnishing. Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, do not cut off the tribe of families of Coelites among
the Levites, from among the Levites. Do but do this in guard with them, they may live and not die. When they approach the most holy things. Aaron and his sons shall go up in and appoint each of them to his service. And his tasks. But they shall not go in to watch while the holy things are being covered, lest they die. See, God gives strict instructions to them. As you can tell they dealing with such an important thing.
Duties to the sons of Gershaan. Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, also take a census of the sons of Gershon by their father's houses, by their families, from thirty years old and above even to fifty years old. You shall number them all who enter to perform the service, to do work in the Tabernacle of Meeting. This is the service of the families of the Gershonites in serving
and care. It shall carry the curtains of the tabernacle and the Tabernacle of Meeting with its covering, the covering of the badger skins that is on it, the screen for the door of the Tabernacle of Meeting, the screen for the door of the gate of the court, the hangings of the court which are around the tabernacle and alter and their courts, all the furnishings of their service. All that is made for these things shows old they serve. Okay, if you have made it all the way to numbers
four verse twenty seven. I want you to do me a favor. I want you to comment below on Spotify, comment I made it, and then you can comment a question or whatever if you want, or just comment and say hey, I made it to numbers four verse twenty seven. I want to see how many people make it to this point, cause these are the type of books in the Bible that people do not make it the room we want to make it. We want to continue to go through the whole entire Bible, right, so let's continue
numbers four verse twenty seven. And Aaron and his son shall assign all the service of the sons of Gershonites, all their tasks, with all their service, and you shall appoint to them all their task as their duty. This is the service of the families of the sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of meeting, and their duties shall be Their duties shall be under the authority of Itamar, the son of Aaron, the priest. See, God is getting everybody ready and getting them prepared for the way God
wants them that way. When something if something did go wrong, God can say, hey, Gershawn, sons of Gershon, what is going on? I told you this task and that what you're supposed to do. He would go to the Gershanites all their tasks and service that he's setting up, and say what's going on? And they are under the authority of It'samar. So God would go to Itamar or Aaron would probably go to Itamar and ask them what's going on.
You are the authority over these people, and they're supposed to do their duties and their task and they're not doing it. So this is ran like a military. It's Tamar being the captain, or it's Tamar being the staff sergeant or you know, sergeant major. However they want to. You know, I don't know how much authority he has it's Omar, but I'm just sudding. He guys, No, this
is the way I look at this. I look at it like a military, and they are giving and God is getting them set up because he knows that they're going to be wandering the wilderness and he knows that he needs to make sure that that tabernacle goes with them. Right. He wants them to be set apart, or wants them to be Holy Numbers four, Verse twenty nine, Duties of the Sons of Marrie mer Ar i Merari. As for the sons of Mehrari, you shall number them by their
families and their father's house. For thirty five years old and above even to fifty years old. You shall number them everyone who enters the service to do the work of the Tabernacle of Meeting, And this is what they must carry as their service for the Tabernacle of Meeting. The boards of the tabernacle, it's bars, its pillars, its sockets, the pillars around the court with their sockets, pegs and cords,
with all their furnishings, and all their service. You shall assign to each man by name the items he must carry. This is the service of the families of the Sun of Marai, all of their service for the Tabernacle of Meeting, under the authority of Itzamar, the son of Aaron, the priest.
Here we go. Now we get to the census of the Levites and Moses, Aaron and the leaders of the congregation numbered the sons of Cohlites by the families and their father's house from thirty five, from thirty years old and above even to fifty years old, everyone who entered the service for work in the tabernaclear metiing those who were numbered by their families were two thousand, seven hundred
and fifty. These were the ones who were numbered of the families of the koalak Cohittites, all who might serve in the tabernacle of meeting, whom Moses in their numbered according to the commandment of the Lord, by the hand
of Moses. And those who were numbered of the sons of Gurshan, by the their families and by their father's house from thirty years old and above even to fifty years old, everyone who entered the service for work and the tabernacle the meeting, those who were numbered by their families, by their father's house were two thousand, six hundred and thirty.
These are the ones who were numbered of the families of the sons of Gurshan, all who might serve in the tabernacle the meeting, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the commandments of the Lord. You guys, see why this is called the book of numbers. Now, it's not like, yeah, there's a this is why the census and you know all this is the reason why we are in numbers four verse forty two. Now, those of the families of the sons of Marai, who were numbered by their families
by their father's house. From thirty five thirty years old and above, even to fifty years old. Everyone who entered the service to work in the tabernacle meeting, those who were numbered by their families were three thousand, two hundred. Those these are the ones who were numbered. Of the families of the sons of Mara, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the word of the Lord, by the
hand of Moses. All who were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses, Aaron, and the leaders of Israel numbered by their families and by their father's house. From thirty years old and above, even to fifty years old. Everyone who came to do work of service and the work of bearing burdens and the tabernacle of meeting, those who were numbered were eight thousand, five hundred and eighty. According to
the commandment of the Lord. They were numbered by the hand of Moses, each according to his service and according to his task. Thus they were numbered by him, as the Lord commanded Moses. So yeah, you guys kind of see what's going on. I don't really need explain all that because it's it's pretty self explanatory. Right, numbers five verse one, Okay, let me get to to uh. Numbers covers the time that they're in the wilderness between Egypt and the Promise, and we already talked about that. So
numbers one through four was about a year of time. Okay. So chapter five picks up after a year of them wandering in the wilderness. Okay, ceremonially unclean persons isolated. Now we're on numbers five verse one. And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, command the children of Israel that they put out of the camp, every leper, everyone who has a discharge, and whoever becomes defiled by a corpse. You
shall put out, both male and female. You shall put them outside the camp, that they may not defile their camps in the midst of which I dwell. The children of Israel did so and put them outside the camp, as the Lord spoke to Moses. So children of Israel did. Now unclean people, okay. Uncleanliness is a picture of sin. People with ailments are considered unclean. Just to let you know that. So God, obviously with Jesus, what did God expect perfection? Right? Jesus was perfect, who was a perfect
sacrificial lamb, so uncleanliness is a picture of sin. I'm not saying that it happened because of sin, the ailments, I'm not saying that, but it is a picture of sin when it's uncleaned all right, numbers five, verse five. Then the Lord spoke to Moses saying, speak to the children of Israel. When a man or woman commits any sin that men commit an unfaithfulness against the Lord, and that person is guilty, then he shall confess the sin
which he has committed. He shall make restitution for his trespass in full plus one fifth of it, and give it to the one who he has wronged. This is interesting because you know, when it comes to the way that we roll, we you do somebody wrong, steal a launder money, do something. What happens is they treat it as if you broke a law, and then they just
arrest you and you serve time in jail. The way that God is having them do this is he's saying that he shall make restitution for his trespass plus one fifth of it and give it to the one he wronged. Right, So it's kind of between that person and the other person. Even though you sinned against God, whenever you sin, okay, you are sinning against God, even though you feel like you're just sinning against that person. No matter what you do,
and whatever sin you commit, you're sinning against God. Right. So it's kind of interesting how they did it back then. Like I told you guys before, there was no prison that you don't see anywhere right here where they said, you know, we're gonna have the prison right here on the right hand corner of the camp, and we're gonna put you guys in prison if you do these things. No, the stuff is handled right there. And obviously sometime it's extreme where they do put people to death. But you
see how things are hand right here. This is going to be numbers five verse eight. But if the man has no relative to whom restitution may be made for the wrong, the restitution for the wrong must go to the Lord. For the priest. In addition to the ram of the atonement, which we're atonement is made for him, every offering of all the holy things of the children of Visual which they bring to the priest shall be his, and every man's holy things shall be his. Whatever any
man gives it, the priest shall be his. Yeah, one thing we had to realize about the priest is this is how God took care of the priest. Right. They don't get to have the same type of land. They don't get to grow crops, they don't get to have a bunch of cows and sheep where they could kill him at any time. It's different. They have the sacrifices and they have certain things so that where God feeds them through. And yeah, so we just need to understand
that numbers five, verse eleven. This is kind of interesting because for us it doesn't really seem fair. This is concerning unfaithful wives. So, okay, we have the NASA. Yeah, chapter six is gonna be interesting. Stick around till chapter six. Okay, we're gonna be talking about the Nazarite law. It's really cool. If you made it to chapter five, verse eleven. If you would like to comment below, comment be low on Spotify let's go, and on Patreon. Dang, I got my
Patreon people that are cult conspiracy Patreon people. I never see the comments only once in a great while. I should probably read those too, WHOA, I'm slacking. I always read the Spotify comments because easier for me to pull up when it comes to Patreon. I'd have to go through their whole go through cult conspiracy Patreon, and I probably don't want to do that on the screen because that's probably their private stuff. So probably don't want to do that. So that's why I don't do that. But
everybody on Patreon, shout out to you. Everybody that's commented, shout out to you. I appreciate you, all right. Numbers five, verse eleven. I'm gonna get in the groove here, Okay, guys, I know I'm gonna get into it. I'm feeling like it. I'm like super sore here, and I'm trying to get a in the mood, all right. So numbers five, verse eleven.
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, If any man's wife goes astray and behaves unfaithfully toward him, and a man lies with her carnally and is hidden from the eyes of her husband, it is concealed that she has just defiled herself, and there is no witness against her,
nor was she caught. If the spirit of jealousy comes upon him and he becomes jealous of his wife who has defiled herself, or the spirit of jealousy comes upon him and he becomes jealous of his wife, although he has not defiled herself. Then the man shall bring his wife to the priest, and he shall bring the offering required for her, one tenth of an ephah of barley meal. He shall pour no oil on it and put no frankancets on it, because it is a grain offering of jealousy,
an offering for remembering, for bringing iniquity to remembrance. And the priest shall bring her near and set her before the Lord. The priest shall take holy water in the earthern vessel, and take some of the dust that is on the floor of the tabernacle, put it into the water. Then the priest shall stand the woman before the Lord, uncover the woman's head, and put the offering for memory in her hands, which is the grain offery of jealousy. And the priest shall have in his hand the bitter
water that brings a curse. And the priest shall put her under oath and say to the woman, if no man has laine with you, and if you have not gone astray to uncleanliness while under the husband's authority, to be free from the bitter water that brings a curse. But if you have gone astray while under your husband's authority, and if you have defiled yourself, and some man other than your husband has laine with you, then the priest
shall put the woman under the oath of curse. And he shall say to the woman, the Lord, the Lord, make you a curse and an oath among your people. When the Lord makes your thigh rot and your belly swell, and may this water cause the curse go into your stomach and make your belly swell in your thigh rot, then the woman shall say, amen, so be it man. See this is the kind of stuff that I appreciate living in the times we live now. Is it hard? Yes?
Is it difficult, you know to avoid sin? Yes? But look at the stuff that they had going on back then. Let's see, you know, like the way that they had to do certain rituals and certain things. You know, it's just different, right numbers five, verse twenty three. Then the priest shall write these curses in a book, and he shall scrape them off into the bitter water. And he shall make the woman drink the bitter water that brings a curse, and the water that brings the curse shall
enter into her to become bitter. Then the priest shall take the grain offering of jealousy from the woman's hand, shall wave the offering before the lord and bring it to the altar, And the priest shall take a handful of the offering this memorial portion, burn it on the altar, and afterward make the women drink the water. Then he has made her drink the water, then it shall be if she has defiled herself and behave unfaithfully toward her husband,
that the water shall bring. A curse will enter her and become bitter, and her belly will swell, her thigh will rot, and the woman will become a curse among her people. But if the woman has not defiled herself and is clean, then she shall be free and may
conceive children. Man, that's a lot to go through. So obviously that's going to deter women from cheating on their husbands, but it should also deter the man from cheating on her too, you know, so being unfaithful, so it seems like a lot you have to go through, and it also brings shame upon the woman. So even if she was not guilty, then that could also cause people to hate her think all these different terrible things while she's kind of going through this. All right, So numbers five,
verse twenty nine, this is the law of jealousy. Then a wife, while underasman's authority, goes astray and defollows herself or in the spirit of jealousy. That's kind of interesting that it says the spirit of jealousy. What does that mean? So is there a spirit of jealousy? Is that the is that like just using that word. Let's check it out. Let's see what it says. Numbers five, verse twenty nine. Let's kind of see what's up with this. Numbers five,
verse twenty nine. Okay, on the sixth day, numbers five, a's numbers twenty nine. That's not what I'm looking for. Come on, we're looking for numbers five, verse twenty nine. Okay, the law of jealousness, law, instruction, direction, human or divine body property. Okay, So instead of saying the spirit of jealousy, oh, this is the law of jealousy, when I okay, here we go. I'm tripping. There is a law. Okay, spirit of jealousy is here in the nuke or in the
King James. It was the spirit when breath mine, Oh spirit, let's quickly animation, agitation, Okay, so it's it is the ruha the spirit. So just talking about a spirit there, okay, the spirit of jealousy, Like, is there like a spirit for that? That's really interesting, all right? Numbers five, verse twenty nine. This is the law of jealousy that a woman that when a wife, while under her husband's authority,
goes astray and defollows herself. Or even when the spirit of jealousy comes upon a man and he becomes jealous of his wife, and he shall stand the woman before the lord, and the priest shall execute all this law upon her. Then the men shall be free from iniquity, but the woman shall bear her guilt, you see. And that's kind of how it is, you know, when you're that's how it is if you were charged with this.
Even if she didn't commit that, she's probably still going to be shunned, you know, still going to be shunned by the people. So the next thing that we're going to get into here we finally made it to chapter six. This is a little more exciting for me, is the law of the Nazarite. Now, what is going on here. Well, the Nazarite thou is a voluntary commitment and the Hebrew Bible, where the person dedicates themselves to God for a period
of time. The vow includes abstaining from alcohol, cutting hair, and contact with the dead. So what's up of the cutting hair? Who do you know in the Bible that his strength was through his hair? You might have guessed it. That's gonna be Sampson, Right, So he was a Nazarite? And where did he meet Delilah? He was walking through the vineyards, if I'm not mistaken. And he's supposed to
abstain from alcohol, and he's not. He's supposed to abstain from avoid the wine, strong drink in all great products, including vinegar. Wow, Avoid cutting your hair. Do not cut the hair of one's head. Avoid contact with the dead. Do not come in contact with corpses or graves, even those whose family members. And right now I'm reading my notes, guys, I'm not reading the scripture. Okay, who took the vow? The vow was described in number six, verses one through
twenty one, which we're gonna go over. And let's see who are examples of Nazarites. And this is not Nazarene, like Jesus was a Nazarene because he came from Nazareth. This is different. Okay, just let you guys know Samson was a Nazarite, which I already went over already Samuel the prophet. Ooh, and it says John the Baptists are some examples of those who took the vow. How interesting that is, right, John the Baptist. I didn't even know that, and I would have to see where they got that
information from. How long does the vowel last? How long does this vowl last? How long do you have to abstain from alcohol? How long do you have to do this stuff? From? Four? The vowel can last for seven days, thirty days, or even a lifetime. If a Nazarite became unclean by accident, then they had to offer a sacrifice and start the vow over again. Wow. Imagine if they were you know, twenty five days in or twenty seven days in to thirty days, and then they had to
start the vowl all over again. Wow. Back then, obviously, abstaining from these things were probably a lot harder than well, Nope, Actually the pribace is super hard right now, because you could find alcohol on every corner. You know, you just to get gas alcohols in there, you know. So it's it's probably harder. The significance the vow is a sacred commitment that involves special religious observances and the presentation of offerings. Okay,
so this is really interesting. The Nazarite law. Wow, the law of the Nazarite, the Nazarite vow. Sorry, I think it's very interesting. Pig some water, all right, So we are on numbers or chapter six, verse one. Now let's read about the law of the Nazarite. Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, when either a man or a woman consecrates an offering to take the vow of a Nazarite to separate himself to the Lord. He shall separate
himself from wine and similar drink. He shall drink neither vinegar made from wine, nor vinegar made from similar drink. Neither shall he drink any grape juice, nor eat fresh grapes or raisins. Wow. So all grapes, right, even if they're raisins. All the days of a separation, he shall eat nothing that is produced by the grapevine. From seed to skin. All the days of the vow of his separation, no razor shall come upon his head. Until the days are fulfilled which he separated himself to the Lord, he
shall be holy. Then he shall set the locks of the hair. Then he shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow. All the days that he separates himself from the Lord, he shall not go near a dead body. He shall not make himself unclean, even for his father or mother, for his brother or his sister when they die, because his separation of God is on his head. All the days of his separation, he
shall be holy to the Lord. So if you are in the Nazarite vow, even if your father, mother, brother, or sisters die, that God doesn't want you to touch their dead bodies. That's what it says. And if anyone dies very suddenly beside him and he defiles his consecrated head, then he shall shave his head on that day of his cleansing. On the seventh day, he shall shave it.
Then on the eighth day he shall bring two turtle doves or two young pigeons to the priest to the door of the tabernacle of Meeting, and the priest shall offer one as a sin offering, and the as a burnt offering, and make atonement for him, because he's sinned in regard to the corpse, and he shall sanctify his head. That same day he shall consecrate the Lord the days of his separation and bring a male lamb in the first year of a trespassed offering. But the former days
shall be lost because his separation was defiled. All right now, this is the law of the Nazarite. When the days of his separation are fulfilled, he shall be brought to the door of the tabernacle of meeting. He shall present his offering to the Lord, one male lamb in his first year without blemish, as a burnt offering, one ewe lamb in his first year without blemage, as a sin offering, one ram without blemish, as a peace offering. A basket
of unleavened bread. Obviously levin Is represents it's a picture of sin. So this is going to be unleaven bread, cakes of fine flour with oil on leaven, wafers with oil with the grain offering with their drink offerings. Then the priest shall this is a number six verse sixteen. Then the priest shall bring them before the Lord and offer his sin offering and his burnt offering, and he shall offer the ram as a sacrifice of a peace offering to the Lord. With the basket of unleavened bread.
The priest shall also offer its grain offering and his drink offering drink offering. Then the Nazarite shall shave his consecrated head at the door of the tabernacle a meeting, and shall take the hair from his consecrated head and put it on the fire which is under the sacrifice of the peace offering. Some of this stuff sounds super foreign to us, I understand. And what's the meaning of them taking their hair because their hair, they're not supposed
to cut their hair. So now since they cut their hair, they're gonna take their hair and they're gonna burn it. Okay, So everything means something here. And the priest shall take the boiled shoulder of the ram, one eleven cake from the basket, one eleven wafer, and put them upon the hands of the Nazarite after he has shaved his consecrated hair, and the priest shall wave them as a wave offering
before the Lord. And they are holy to the priests together the breasts of the wave offering and the thigh of the heave offering, after the Nazarite may drink wine. This is the law of the Nazarite who vows to the Lord the offering for his separation. Besides that, whatever else his hand is able to provide according to the vow which he takes, he must do according to the law of his separation. So that's what it is. It's
a Nazarite. Let's go real quick to the strong accordance and let's look that up, professt Okay, numbers six, and we're gonna go. The Lord spoken, was the saying, speak to the REI don't say to them. Okay. Let's see what that word nazarite means. In here consecrated or devoted one, consecrated one, devotee, Nazarite untrimmed. And you see Nazarite means separate. Okay. It's in Genesis forty nine twenty six Leviticus twenty five to five that word separate or undressed vine undressed is
a consecrated or devoted one. Okay. Let's see later on in the Bible. You see it in the Book of Judges speaking of Samson or Low, they shall conceive embartered Sun, and no razors shall come on his head, for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb, and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines. Samson, Yeah, I can't wait to get to that. That story, man, that's gonna be crazy.
And then when we get there, you're gonna understand it better because we're reading the Book of Numbers explaining the Nazarite law, or the vow Nazarite vow right, or the law of the Nazarite. So now when we get there, you're gonna be like, oh, now, I understand. This is why it's good to unlock these certain things. Let me see where are we at. I want to make sure I don't lose my spot. Then the pre oh I'm already okay, looks like I'm gonna be at a Numbers
chapter six, verse twenty two when we start. But I just I like to go through when I see Nazarite and find out where it's at. Judges thirteen seven. Let's read that. But he said, unto me behold, thou shalt conceive and better Son, now drink now drink no wine, nor strong drink, neither eat any unclean thing. For the child shall be a Nazarite to God, from the womb to the day of his death. So God makes him a lifetime Nazarite, right, Samson, Let's read uh Judges sixteen seventeen.
Then he told all his Then he told her with all his heart, and said, under her, there hath not come a razor upon my head. For I have been a Nazarite under God from my mother's womb. If I have been shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak and and be like any other man. You see. So that's why his strength was in his hair. Everybody thinks, like, why is his strength in his hair? That's kind of weird. Well, you got to go back to numbers six, verses one through twenty
one and find out what a Nazarite is. So when you do get the judges and God says, do not cut your hair. Now we know why this strength was in his hair, because he was a lifetime Nazarite. Lamentations her Nazarites were pure than snow, They were whiter than milk, they were ruddy in body than rubies, and polishers. Was their polishing was a sapphire. Amos too eleven. And I raised up your sons of prophets and of the young men. For Nazarites, it is even thus so children of visual
says the Lord. And then we got Amos two twelve. But he gave the Nazarites wine to drink and commanded the prophets, saying, prophesy not wow, okay cool. I just wanted to kind of go through all those verses of when the Nazarite were brought up. Okay, so let's continue. Now we're going to be at numbers six, verse twenty two. And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, speak to Aaron and his son, saying, this is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them, the Lord
bless you and keep you. The Lord makes his face shine upon you, and be gracious to you. The Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. So they shall put my name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them, Praise God. So I'll let you know the pace that these pastors that I listened to are on is the same pace we're on. Because I listened from numbers one through four and it was about an hour. And then they did five through eight and it was about forty five minutes to no close
to an hour. So we are moving at the same pace that pastors would would would move at if you were in Sunday service at actual church. Just let you guys know. Now we're at number seven, verse one, and this is going to be offerings to the leaders. Now it came to pass when Moses had finished setting up the tabernacle, that he anointed it and consecrated it, and all the furnishings and altar and its and all its utensils.
So we anointed them and consecrated them. Then the leaders of Israel, the heads of their father's houses, who were brought leaders of the tribes, and over those who were numbered, made an offering. And they brought their offering before the Lord six hundred sorry six covered carts and twelve oxen, a cart for every two of the leaders, and for each one an ox and they presented them before the tabernacle.
Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, accept these from them, that they may be used in doing the work of the tabernacle of meeting, and you shall give them to the Levites to every man according to his service. So Moses took the carts and the oxen and gave them to the Levites. Two carts and four oxen he gave to the sons of Gurshan according to their service. And four carts and eight oxen he gave to the sons of Marii according to their service, under the authority of
the Itzamar, the son of Aaron. The priests. So this is all talking about the Levites, okay, and the priest. But to the sons of Kohath he gave none, because they're theirs. Was the service of the holy things, which they carried on their shoulders. Now, the leaders offered the dedication offering for the altar. When it was annoyeded, the leaders offered their offering before the altar. For the Lord said to Moses, they shall offer their offering, one leader
each day for the dedication of the altar. So these are regulations rules. Like I said, God is mostly it's about order. And that's what it said in the beginning, when I was going over the outline, the outline of the Book of Numbers, it was saying Israel's journey. The book describes Israel's journey toward the promised land, God's order. Okay, the book shows how God brought order to Israel's society. This is how God brought order. He's given them specific tasks,
and he is holding people accountable. We got accountability, which we should have definitely nowadays too. Right, So numbers seven, verse ten. Now, the leaders offered a dedication offering from the altar when it was anointed. So their leaders off offered their offering before the altar, for the Lord said to Moses, they shall offer. They're offering one leader each
day for the dedication of the altar. Now we're at number seven, verse twelve, if you're following along, and the one who offered is offering on the first day was Nashoon, the son of a Mina Dab. I probably say that different every time I read it. Just kidding a Minadab, all right, Aminadab from the tribe of Judah. His offering was one silver platter, the weight of which was one hundred and thirty shekels. Wow, the weight of which was
one hundred and thirty shekels. The one silver bowl of seventy shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary for both of them, full of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering, the one gold pen of ten shekels full of incense, one young bull, one ram, one male lamb in its first year as a burnt offering, one kid of the goats as a sin offering and for the sacrifice of peace offerings two oxen, five rams, five male goats, five male lambs in the first year.
This was the offering of Nashon, the son of Aminadab. All right, let's go, all right, I'm only laughing because, like I said, I'm probably pronouncing that for each time I read it, and it's the same person. Ah, all right. Definitely trying to do my best here, okay, guys, And you know what all you can do is your best. Okay. If you can't give any more, at least you're giving as much as you can. And that's how I feel like I'm I'm doing right now. I'm doing my best
to stay on track here and finish strong, okay. Number seven, Verse eighteen. On the second day of Nathaniel, the son
of Zuar, leader of Ishkar, presented an offering. For his offering, he offered one silver platter, the weight of which was one hundred and thirty shekels and one silver bowl of seventy shekels according to the shekel of the sanctuary, both of them full of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain, offering, one gold pan of ten shekels full of incense, one young bull, one ram, one male lamb in its first year as a burnt offering, one kid of the goat of the goats, which is a kid
is obviously a baby goat as a sin offering as a sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs in their first year. This was the offering of Nathaniel, Nathaniel, the son of Zuar. I'm probably been reading that Nathaniel, but Methanel all right. Now We got the next one. On the third day, Ilieb, the son of Helan, leader of the children of Zebelon,
presented an offering. His offering was one silver plotter of the weight which was one hundred and thirty shekels, and one silver bowl of seventy shekels according to the shekel the sanctuary, both of them full of fine flour mixed with oil as grain, offering one gold pan of ten shekels full of incense, one young bull, one ram, one mail lamb in its first year as a burnt offering, one kid of the goats, as a sin offering, and for the sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxygen, five rams,
five male goats, five mail lambs in the first year. This is the offering of Ilieb, the son of Helan. Wow. Okay, we got a lot of these. Okay, where's the son of Helan Leasa, the son of oh Wait Ilium, the sin of Falan. Okay. On the fourth day, Eliezer, the son of Schebdar, the leader of the children of Reuben, presented him offering. His offering was one silver platter, the
weight which was one hundred and thirty shekels. One silver bowl of seventy shekels according to the shekel, the sanctuary, both of them full of fine flour mixed with oil, is grain offering. And one thing I'm gonna tell you guys real quick. We're on verse thirty two. I will stop there real quick. So we want to make sure when we're going through the Bible. I want to make sure that we go through the whole Bible. Okay, So
that let's say we finished the whole entire Bible. We finished Genesis to Genesis to Revelation, right, we want to make sure that we read everything so that we say we read the whole entire Bible together. That's what we're trying to do. I understand this is repetitive. I totally get it. But I'm not gonna short change you, guys, because i could be going through and be like, oh, this is repetitive, and then we catch something that's important.
But I'm just trying to go through the whole thing, and you guys are bearing with me, and I know you guys are awesome. If you guys are still here from you know, chapter seven, verse thirty two, I really appreciate you. I'm doing my best to stick with you
guys too, all right. Numbers seven, verse thirty two. One goal, pan of ten shekels full of incense, one young bull, one ram, one male lamb in his first year as a burn, offering, one kid of the goats as a sin, offering as a sacrifice of peace, offering two oox in, five rams, five male goats, and five mail lambs in the first year. This is the male lambs in the first year. This is the offering of Eliezer, the son of Shador on the fifth day. It reminds me of
that song on the fifth day at Christmas. Now, uh yeah, Christmas is actually a peglidy. I'm not trying to, I just it just reminded me that real quick. On the fifth day, Shemaliel the son of Jurshidai, leader of the
children of Simeon, presented an offering. His offering was one silver platter, the weight of which was one hundred and thirty shekels, and one silver bowl of seventy shekels according to the shekel of the sanctuary, both of them full of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering, one gold pan of ten shekels of incense full of incense, one young bull, one ram, one male lamb in its first year as a burn offering, one kit of the goats.
The sinn offering is a sacrifice of peace, offering two oxen, five rams, five male goats, five lambs, and the first year, this is the offering of Shemalai, the son of Zuri Shadai. On the sixth day, Elissaff the son of Duel, the leader of the children of God, presented an offering His offering was one silver platter, which is one hundred and thirty shekels, one silver bowl of seventy shekel according to the Sheckl Sanctuary, both of them full of fine flour
mixed with oil. As a green offering, one gold pan, ten shekels full of incense, one young bowl, one ram, one male lamb in its first year is a burn offering. One kit of goats is the sin offering as a sacrifice. He's offering two oxen, five rams, five male goats, five mail lambs in the first year. This is the offering of Ellie Elisath, the son of Duel Duel. On the seventh day, Elishama, the son of Ahmed ahmah Hud, leader of the children of Ephriam, presented and offering. It's the
same thing, okay. His offering was one silver platter, the weight of which was one hundred and thirty shekels, silver bowl of seventy according to the Shekels Sanctuary. Here's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna make sure that this is all the same through this whole thing. Yes it is. This is very repetitive, okay, very repetitive. Okay, I don't I want to make sure that we Okay, I'll just on the Ilishama, the son of ahmedad children are presented
an offering. Okay, it's the same exact offering everything. This offering was Elishama, the son of Amedid. Okay, it's the same thing. I wanted to read through this, but it's it's so repetitive. It's hard for me to do that. Okay, and I don't want to put you guys through that. Let's see. On the eighth day, Gilimiel, the son of Petezer, the leader of the children of Manassai, presented an offering. Okay, the same exact offering. Okay, same thing. And this is
the offering of Ghilliel, the son of Petazur. On the ninth day, Abidan the son of Gadoui, leader of the children of Benjamin, presented an offering. It's going to be exactly the same. This is the offering of the Abidaan, the son of Godoui. On the tenth day, I his heir, the son of Amasha Dai, leader of the children of Dan, presented an offering. His offering is the same the two auctions of Rams, all that stuff. This is the offering of Azer, the son of Amashadai. And I'll tell you what,
I went through way more than the passers do. They were actually like, this is too repetitive. They were like, they went way back there and stopped. But on the eleventh day, Pagil the son of Akron, leader of the children of ashar Asher, presented an offering, and the offering the same exact thing. The offering was Piguel the son of a kan Okay. On the twelfth day, Arad the son of and then the leader of the children of Naftali,
presented an offering the same exact thing. This is the offering of Ahara, the son of an n There we go. Now we are at number seven, verse eighty four. If you guys stuck around through that, you guys are amazing. We only got ten more minutes of the show left. Okay, this is a This is good stuff. I really appreciate you guys sticking around. If you are here still, thank you. Number seven, verse eighty four. This is the dedication offering from the altar from the leaders of Israel when it
was anointed. Twelve silver platters, twelve silver bowls, and twelve gold pans, each silver platter weighed one hundred and thirty shekels, of each bowl seventy shekels. All the silver of the vessels weighed two four hundred shekels according to the shekel of the sanctuary. The twelve gold pans full of incense weigh ten shekels apiece. According to the Shekel of Sanctuary, all the gold of the pants weighed one hundred and
twenty shekels. Wow, let's see real quick. I'm gonna just maybe I can make it a little interesting, and look at what that is? What is the shekel numbers seven? Okay, and we are verse eighty seven, man eighty seven versus the Wow. Wait, let's go eighty six. Let's find out what a shekel is. That way, you guys know, Oh, it's gonna tell you the unit two hundred and twenty grains of gold, one hundred and thirty two grains of silver, five hundred and twenty eight grains of copper. That way,
you know. All the oxen for the burnt offering were twelve young bulls, the rams twelve, the mail lambs the first year twelve, then the grain offering, and the kids of the goats as a sin offering. Twelve and the oxen of the Sacrifice of peace. Offerings were twenty four bulls, the rams sixty, the mail goats sixty, the lambs in their first year sixty. This is the dedication offering for the altar after it was anoyed. In anoyed, Okay, let's find out.
What that is real quick, brings set apart for a sacred person often in the country is a worship or consecration or a person.
Place, or object. So it says this is a dedication offering for the altar after it was annoyted. So it's a offering or items set apart for sacred purpose, often in the context of worship or the consecration of a person, place, or object to God. Now, when Moses went into the tabernacle a meeting to speak with him, he heard the voice of One speaking to him from above the mercy seat that was on the arka testimony from between the two charitybom Thus he spoke to him, Wow, this is
I'm gonna go over eighty nine one more time. Now, when Moses went into the tabernacule a meeting to speak with him, he heard the voice of One speaking to him from above the mur seat that was on the ark of testimony from between the two chairmans. Thus, thus he spoke to him. Wow. See that's Moses is speaking to God. Okay, yes, okay, cool, We're gonna do numbers eight. And that's that's only gonna be a little bit. So we'll go ahead and finish this off, and we'll have
eight chapters complete for the Book of Numbers. That's awesome, right, that's awesome. It's awesome. Thank you guys for sticking with me. If you are still with me here, I appreciate you. God is great all the time, all the time. God is great. Let's go numbers eight, verse one, the arrangement of the lamps. And guys, I didn't get this far in my study. I didn't know I was going to be able to make it all the way here. And I'll have a few days to study for this, so
this is gonna be fresh to me as well. It's not totally fresh, but it's going to be fresh because I haven't read the Book of Numbers in a while. But so numbers eight verse one, And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, speak to Aaron and say to him, when you arrange the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light in front of the lamp stand. And Aaron did so. He arranged the lamps to face toward the front of
the lampstand, as the Lord commanded Moses. Now this workmanship of the lampstand was hammered gold from its shaft to its flowers. It was hammered work according to the pattern which the Lord had shown Moses. So he made the lampstand numbers eight numbers eight verse five. Cleansing and Dedication of the Levites. Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and
cleanse them ceremonially. Thus you shall do to them to cleanse them, Sprinkle water, appear cation on them, and let them shave all their body, and let them wash their clothes, and so make themselves clean. Then let them make a young bull. Let them take a young bull from its grain offering a fine flour mixed with oil. And you
shall take another young bull as a sin offering. And you shall bring the Levites before the tabernacle of meeting, and you shall gather together the whole congregation of the children of Israel. So you shall bring the Levites before the Lord, and the children of Israel shall lay their hands on the Levites, and Aaron shall offer the Levites before the Lord like a wave offering from the children of Israel, that they may perform the work of the Lord.
Then the Levites shall lay their hands on the heads of the young bulls, and you shall offer one as a sin offering, and the other is a burn offering to the Lord, to make atonement for the Levites. All right, let's go numbers eight versus eight thirteen. And you shall stand the Levites before Aaron and his sons, and then offer them like a wave offering to the Lord. Thus you shall separate the Levites from among the children of Israel,
and the Levites shall shall be mine. So God is saying, these are mine, right, these are my high priests, These are my priests. After lees Leevites shall go into the service of the tabernacle the meeting. So you shall cleanse them and offer them like a wave offering. For they are holy given to me from among the children of Israel. I have taken them for myself instead of all who open the womb, the firstborn of the children of Visuel, for all the firstborn among the children of Israel are mine,
both man and beast. On the day that I stuck struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, I sanctified them to myself. I have taken the Levites instead of all the firstborn and the children of Israel. And I have given the Leevites as a gift to Aaron and his sons from among the children of Israel, to do work for the children of Israel the tabernacle of meeting, and to make atonement for the children of Israel. They that there'll be no plague among the children of Visuel
when the children of Israel come near the sanctuary. All right, Thus, now we're gonna get We're gonna finish it off real quick. Chapter eight, verse twenty. Thus Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the children of visual did to the Levites, according to all the land committed Moses concerning the Levites, So the children of Israel did to them. And the Levites purified themselves and washed their clothes, and Aaron presented them like a wave offering before the Lord, and Aaron
made atonement for them to cleanse them. After that, the Levites went into their work to do their work in the Tabernacle of Meeting before Aaron and his sons, as the Lord committed Moses concerning Levites, so they did to them. We're almost done. We got chapter eight, verse twenty three. Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, this is what pertains to the Levites. From twenty five years old and above, one may enter to perform service in the work of
the Tabernacle of Meeting. At the age of fifty years, they must cease performing this work and shall work no more. So it looks like fifty is where they are able to retire. They may minister with their brethren and the Tabernacle of Meeting to attend two needs, but they themselves shall do no work. Thus you shall do to the Levites regarding their duties. Okay, so that wraps up chapter eight. Awesome. So next week we will be on numbers nine. I will do my best to do some good studies on
this on the book of Numbers. I'll have a few more days. I got caught off guard this morning with this hydrant, and then I also was working on a distribution side when I normally do production today, so I didn't have as much time to study.
