Speaker 1

Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome to Wednesday Service, Episode four. I am your host, Josh Monday. This is brought to you by Cult Conspiracy Podcast. And yeah, thank you guys so much for joining me. I okay, so I have some news. I need some prayer warriors out there too. Please do me a favor and pray. Last night, my wife is about twenty weeks and six days. She actually her water broke, so and we went to the doctors the emergency room last night, and the doctor told us that at twenty

weeks and six days that the baby wouldn't survive. They wouldn't be able to do anything because the baby's not big enough for them to put a breathing to down the baby's throat. So, as of right now, my wife's in the hospital. I'm just coming back right now from the hospital to come do this show and then I'm running right back over there. So if you guys could just please pray for me and my family, pray for

my baby. My wife told me I'm having a baby boy, and I'm going to walk by faith and I'm going to believe that God will let me have this baby and that the baby's going to come out healthy, and then Nicky is going to be able to do everything they need to do for the baby to come out healthy. I'm going to walk by faith that this is going to happen, and I just need some prayers from you guys. If you guys could, I really really really appreciate it. As of right now, my wife is on medication because

they don't want her to get infection. They said, if she gets infection, then she's going to have to deliver sooner than later. Now her water broke, so at this moment, she could go on labor at any time. Like they said. They said, the baby needs to at least be to twenty two weeks, maybe twenty three or twenty four. They really want the baby to be at twenty four week. So just pray that God keeps my baby alive well, and please pray that the lungs develop to where the

baby can breathe when the baby comes. You know, that's that's what we want. We want the baby to come out and the lungs to be developed enough for you know, for the nick you to help the baby. You know, it's going to be a baby boy too. I have three girls. That's going to be a baby boy, So this will be very special for me. So if you guys could just please pray, I promise to at least do one one Wednesday service show a week and one

Sunday service show a week for Cult Conspiracy Podcast. I promise that, you know, and when I when I whenever I give somebody my word, then I'm going to deliver. And also, I noticed there's a lot of people out there right now that listen to this show in particular that this Bible study is assisting and in helping with their walk. So it's not me helping. Obviously, it's God

helping and it's God's word helping. But I think it's vas the important right now for people to have this show to help you guys, you know, and hopefully it's doing what it's supposed to do.

Speaker 2

You know.

Speaker 1

And if you could comment below on Spotify, just let me know how the show's going and let me know how everything is going, and and and if you are praying, then you know, just leave it there. The way I could show my wife because obviously she's she needs to be in good spirits. Me I I you know, the way that I handle situations is different, and I was I'm prior military, so I was in the army, So

I resilience training. I've been through so much and I've had to have resilience with so much in my life that I can hurdle jump over hurdles a lot different than my wife can. So just pray for her. Her name's Daphne, you know. Pray for her if you can, and pray for our baby.

Speaker 2

Me.

Speaker 1

I usually handle stuff pretty good, So I put everything in God's hands, and whatever God wants, I know that it's God's will and to be done, you know. And if he wants the baby to come and be healthy and to live, then I know he will let the baby live. If he ends up the baby passing away or something, then I know that it was God's will and it's an automatic way for the baby to go to Heaven, you know. So I just want to let you guys know that before I start. I really and

you know, finally I'm getting over this cold. Jesus can kick my butt. It was kicking my butt, you know, so I prayed for that too, And now I get to do the show with you guys and be able to talk a little better. The last couple of times it was a little rough. I'm trying to share the screen. Why is it not doing it? Yeah, I'm trying to share the screen. Obviously some of you guys might not be on. Some of you guys might not be on. Oh no, uh okay, hold on, guys, something's going on.

I don't want to close the screen. Oh what is going on? All right? I'm so sorry, guys. I feel like, hopefully I'm still on. I don't even know. Let me go here. It's looking like the screen is frozen. I don't know. I hope not. It's now not allowing me to share screen. Let me see what's going on here, guys. I apologize. Okay, share screen has stopped as the shared window was closed. Okay, well it's not allowed me to share screen. Let me just try that one more time. Wow,

the shared screen was closed. Okay, sorry about this, guys. You know, technical difficulties do happen. I want to restore all the pages, and the one that I really want to be is on. Okay, So guys, here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna retry that. Wow, it's crazy. Okay, all right, we're gonna retry this. I apologize, guys. Ah,

things happen right there we go sharing screen perfect. Thank you guys, Yes, thank you, Lord, appreciate you well blessing us with the screen share For those that can see on video, I want to make sure that the screen is shared so you guys can follow along with me. This is gonna be in the new King James version, and we're gonna be at Matthew thirteen verse one. And like I said, thank you guys so much for joining me. Thank you Jonathan and Jacob for allowing me to do

this show. Thank you Lord for allowing me to do this show and bring I mean this type of audience to go over the Bible. It is so important. Last week we went over in Matthew eight through twelve. This week we're gonna be doing Matthew thirteen, which is a chapter I really want to talk to you guys about. There's gonna be some parables in here that Jesus goes over and Jesus actually he's gonna go over the parable

and then he explains the parable. But there will be some parables in here that I'm going to be honest and upfront that I can't explain. I'm not Jesus, you know, I'm not God. And the only way to explain some of these parables is for my wife's texting me right now. The only way to explain these parables is would be to do a deep dive on them and then just try to explain them, you know, some of them, because there's a few in there, which when I get to them,

I'll let you know which ones they are. That the only one that knows is Jesus. And who knows. Maybe there was a little couple lost pages here in Matthew that we you know, or Jesus explains these, you know, I think there may no maybe there is, or maybe we just were just meant to not know, or maybe we're just meant to study and pray and ask God for discernment and see if he'll teach it, you know, show us. I know one thing, I'm not gonna sit

up here and act like that. I'm I'm not gonna sit up here and act like I know exactly what's going on, exactly what the parable means. That's just not me. And I've heard a lot of pastors, like some people that have been studying the world for a long time even say that they don't know what that certain parable means, the Robert Breakers, the No Coffee Chapel, some of the pastors. I listened to some other ones that I kind of study. So I'm not gonna sit up here and act like

I know. So you know you're gonna get. One thing you'll get from me is you're gonna get real. I'm gonna be one hundred percent real with you. I'm not gonna act like, oh, I know this is what it means. Maybe I can make a crack at it, but that's about it. You know. I can maybe try, but uh, it's gonna come how it comes. So anyways, Matthew thirteen, verse one, let's get to the word and thirteen to

one the parable of the Sewer. On the same day, Jesus went out to the house and sat by the sea, and great multitudes were gathered together to him, so that he got into a boat and sat, and the whole multitude stood on the shore. So imagine this. When you are on the lake and you are fishing, and you're speaking to your dad or your grandpa or wherever you fished with, you speak and your voice travels across the water. And if you're sitting there on the shore and people are

talking on a boat, the voice travels. Obviously, Jesus knows that he has a multitude that gathered, and he's going to be in the boat speaking and his voice is going to travel to the multitudes that he's speaking to. And I'll tell you what. These Pharisees that were there at the time, they don't do that. They don't go and preach out in the open. They don't go and preach on the street corner. They think that you need to be in the temple only, you know, and preaching like.

They're not out there trying to make disciples, make Jews. That's not what they do. They want them to come to them and speak in the holy temples and that's it. So this is definitely foreign to the Pharisees. So I'm sure that if they went undercover or whatever to go see Jesus preach to the multitudes, the amount of people that gathered would be very interesting to them. Obviously they'd be like, Wow, all these people came to see him.

But also I bet they would probably have this feeling in their heart if they did see it, like why is he out here preaching on the boat? Look at this guy? You know, Like probably not even holy enough to come to our you know church, you know so or synagogue, Sorry, not church, all right, So Matthew thirteen, verse three. Then he spoke many things to them in parables. Behold, a sewer went out to sew. A sower is like

a gardener going to put seeds. And he sowed some seed, fell by the wayside, and the birds came and devoured them. The birds here are representing spirits, okay, like evil spirits, or like the devil. Some fell on stony places, and they did not have much earth, and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of the earth. But when the sun was up, they scorched, and because they had no root, they withered away. And some fell among thorns,

and the thorns sprang up and choked them. But others fell on the good ground and yielded a crop, some one hundredfold, some sixty some thirty. He who has ears, let him hear. So you see that you understand that by a fell on good ground, you that's some hundredfold, some sixty some thirty. You see, you know them by their fruits. So, if you are making disciples out of other people and assisting people to get saved. Then these are the one hundredfold, the sixty, the thirty that I

think that he's talking about here. That is the fruit that you're gonna bear when you are teaching the word. And the disciples came to him, Why do you speak to them in parables? He answered and said to them, because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of heaven. But to them it has not been given. For whoever has to him, more will be given, and he will have abundance. But whoever does not have even what he has been taken away from.

Therefore I speak to them in parables because seeing, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says, hearing you will hear and shall not understand, and seeing you will see and not perceive.

For the hearts of the people have grown dull. Their eyes are hard of hearing, and their eyes have closed lest they see their eyes and hear their ears, lest they understand their hearts and turn, so that I should heal them. So these when Jesus is speaking to these people, some of the Jews. It's as if they took their fingers and stuck it in their ears, so as he's speaking to them, they're not able to hear. You know, what's happening is they don't even know their own Messiah

when he's standing right in front of their face. Their hard heart, their hearts have grown dull, their ears are hard of hearing, their eyes have closed. They're not able to see the Messiah right in front of them. They're not able to hear the Messiah as he's speaking to them. The Christ is here, but these people are so heard

hearted that they can't even see it. You see, so heardhearted with religion instead of relationship that they can't even see that their Messiah is right in front of their face. So this is one of the prayer buzzels talking about. Because it is given to you to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, that's kind of easy to understand, but to them it has not been given. So we understand that he's speaking in parables, and they're going to

be able to understand the parables. But the people that are hard hearted, filled with religion not relationship, that are all these laws and rules they're they're trying to uphold traditions are in the way. They're not able to see the Messiah because they have this traditional thinking and religious thinking instead of relationship, you know, instead of instead of having an open heart, their hearts are hardened. They're closed. Their eyes are closed, their ears are closed. They're not

able to hear. But it says forever whoever it has to him, more will be given, and he will have abundance. But whoever it does not have, even if it has been taken away from him. Therefore I speak to them in prayers because seeing they do not see, and the hearing they do. Okay, so there's that, and we already went over the Isaiah one. But blessed are your eyes,

for they see, for your ears, for they hear. For assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desire to see what you see and do not see it, and to hear what you hear and do not hear it. So many prophets and righteous men desire to see what you see. Many prophets and righteous men desire to see the Messiah. They wanted to see the Messiah, the Christ, so they're able to see it and they're able to

hear him speak. God in the flesh is there speaking to these disciples, And and some of them don't even understand the blessed position that they're in because we're mere humans, not understanding what God is doing, not understanding the Kingdom of heaven. That's why they keep having to ask him what's going on. And this is one of those, Uh, this is one of the parts where they ask him, can you please explain the parable to us? Because I know you're saying it to us, and you think we understand,

even though Jesus knows they don't fully understand. But at least Jesus takes the time to at least Jesus takes the time to explain this, this parable and uh eighty forty eight. Okay, so right, so here we go. It's gonna be ah, Matthew, Sorry, I'm getting sidetracked on my text messages from my wife. Okay, So therefore, hear the parable of the sower. When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, it does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. Okay,

so this is what we're saying. The birds the birds or the demons is what they're representing, or the devil comes and snatches away what was sown in your heart. The Word of God is what these seeds are. The seeds are being sown. It's the word of God. And it says, then is he who received the seed by the wayside, but he received the seed in stony places. This is he who hears the word and immediately receives

it with joy. So these are the people that come to church on fire in the beginning, and they come to church, they get saved and they're on fire right immediately receive it with joy. But it's like on the surface conversion. Then maybe they go to Greg Glory's church and they say that the Lord's prayer, or they go to the harvest fest in Anaheim and they say the Lord's prayer. They're on fire, they're feeling it. And then they go back to where their home is. They received

it with joy. Then they go back to their home and they don't go read the word, so they don't get that root. And that's what it says here is yet he has no root in himself, who endures only for a while. So that fire gets lit by the Holy Spirit. But it's up to us to keep continuing doing the work via reading the Word of God, via walking with God, via obedience, via maybe if some people need the church, you know, I recommend you know, going to church. I do. I recommend it, but not everybody does.

Some people would rather do this at home and study the Word with their family and keep it like that. Other people would go to church. Make sure you find the right church teaching through the Bible. But we need that word every single day. We need the Word every day because what happens is faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the way to God. What's the way that we dodged the wiles of the devil faith? Right, that's the big shield, that's the one that's blocking the wiles

of the devil faith. Right. So this is what it's saying here. Yet he has no root in himself, who endures only for a while. It's because that Holy Spirit lit that fire, and you didn't keep it burning. You didn't keep it burning because you didn't keep reading the word. Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. You didn't continue that, but you felt the Holy Spirit, and you felt it and you received it with joy,

but it has no root. So the seed was planted, but it didn't have no root because you didn't water it with more word of God. So for when tribulation or persecution arises because of the because of the word, immediately he stumbles. Okay, immediately the person stuff umbles. So you felt like you were able to stand on your own feet. Cool, I got to read the word a little bit. I'm feeling okay, I'm confident, ready to walk

out into the world. And then all of a sudden, persecution or tribulation comes and you forget about everything that you're supposed to use against the walls of the devil, that the word of God, the sword, which is the word of God offensively using the sword against the devil, right, and then you're blocking everything with the shield of faith. You forget about that because your shield is like the size of your hand instead of being huge, because you forgot to read the Word of God. You see what

I mean. So this is the type of you're in spiritual warfare. So when you go through trials and tribulation and persecution and it arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles. Yeah, I see. And this is what people I mean, this is real. I have been in this posies. I have been that Christian before, and I'm not going to act like I haven't. Where I was on fire for the Lord, especially when I was doing my Christian rap music when I first, like, you know, I came

back from deployment, I'm like, all right, let's go. I'm ready to just do it for the Lord. And then, you know, then I felt like I was putting so much time into music that I didn't put all the time into reading the Word. And I was writing songs and I was like, okay, recording songs, writing songs, thinking I was good, That's not what gets you through these persecutions and tribulations. Okay, but I've been that Christian before. I will admit it. Now we're back to the word

Matthew thirteen twenty two. Now he who received this seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful. So he receives

the seed the Word of God among the thorns. It is he who hears the Word and the cares of the world, and deceitfulness, the fear, the deceitfulness of riches, you know, selfishness, greed, uh the words that the Word of God that you have read, gets choked out by the thorns, you know, and and and he becomes unfruitful. So you hear the word of God, you receive the word of God. You're reading the word of God. But everything that happens in the world brings you away from

the word of God. And then the devil chokes you and and you become unfruitful. You forget to share the Word of God with other people, and you forget to become a disciple. You forget to be obedient to the Lord. So when you're not obedient, then the devil comes and chokes you out, you know. And that's the thorn that's choking you. It knows that you're you're that the world and deceitfulness and riches the world is anything that's not of God. The cares of the world and deceitfulness of

riches choke the word, and he become unfruitful. But he who received the seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces some one hundredfold, some sixty some thirty. So you're receiving the word of God. You're being obedient to God. People are seeing you be obedient. People are seeing the joy, people are seeing the peace. People are seeing the way that you're living, and they want that. They see that you're a real true Christian and that

you are representing the Lord correctly. And they see that you are filled with joy. They see that you are happy. They see that there's a spark in you that they have never seen before. So they come to you and they ask you, I want that. How do you have that? Well, the way that I have that is this or saved

by grace through faith. You know, Jesus died on the cross, he rose again after three days, and he can you know, you know, just explaining the gospel, you know, and you just show them how to be obedient to the Lord and then start maybe a little Bible study with them, kind of teach them how to read the Word. And you make people disciples and you give people. God saves them, but you know, you plant seeds for them to get saved. That's when you're producing the good fruit. A good tree

produces good fruit. A bad fruit produces bad fruit. An orange tree won't produce a apple. An orange tree is going to produce an orange. So you need to shape yourself into that good fruit by reading the word of God, by being obedient, by having a relationship with the Lord, by continuing to pray, by continuing to love people, to love them so much that not only do you care about their physical body and their health and care about anything like that, you care about their soul and their spirit,

them going to heaven. Okay. This is our purpose in life is to make disciples, to help people get it saved. Okay, to care about people so much that we care about where they're going when they die, because that is the most important. This physical reality that we live in is beautiful for you to love your wife, for you to love your friends, for you to hang out with your kids, whatever you do. But this is a physical world. But there's a spiritual out there that is the main focus

for us. We're not here on this earth to enjoy the pleasures of life of this world, of these riches. You see what it said right there. We're here to get people saved, make disciples to live for Jesus, and introduce people to God and give them a relationship with God as much as we can. Then show people the way, the truth, the life, and this is the way you produce the fruit. Okay, let's get to Matthew thirteen twenty four. And this is the parable of the Wheat and terrors.

So what I'll tell you, guys, is some Bible like the newer translations. It's gonna say wheat and weeds. That's something when I was studying, I kinda I found. Let me see what. I don't know if there'll be a list of Bibles just to show you, guys, wheat and beads verse.

Speaker 2

Okay, I don't know if there's a wheat and weeds Bible version.

Speaker 1

I don't know if there's like a list I knew in the New Living Translation. Probably probably, you know, some of the newer translations, maybe the NIV. I don't know. I'd have to look. I don't I can't really pull up a list right now, but I just want to let you know, wheat and weeds. This is it just changes the parable. Okay, the King James and the new King James. I believe have it right by keeping it

wheat and tears, because tears are exactly like wheat. As they're growing, they look exactly like wheat, and then they turn green when they're about to harvest, and the other ones turn gold, so you can harvest them. So as they grow together they look exactly the same. But as they but as they mature and they become you know, wheat, then then the other ones will turn green, so they look exactly the same the whole time they're growing. You can't even tell the difference until they fruit, you know,

until they toll, they heart, till it's harvest time. So this is why I like the New King James or the King James, because they kept it tears. That's that's that's great. Weeds they don't look exactly the same as as weed. They look different. So it's just the parable doesn't doesn't hit as hard with those versions. That's all I'm saying. And I'm not telling you don't read the NIV, don't read the NLT, because I know some people are King James only. I like New King James, and I

do like the King James Bible, yes I do. But I think it's good to I think it is kind of good to make sure that we read a couple of different versions, whatever's easier for you to read. But go back to the King James and kind of cross references. I'll go back to the new King James and kind of cross reference what you're reading in these other translations. So you know what the King James said. Not saying that the King James is the is the only Bible

you should read. All I'm saying is cross reference the King James to these newer versions. So you see, you know, like certain words will be different, just like this one. You know, like the parable right here, It makes a lot more sense to make it weed and terrors because they because what I just explained. Another parable. This is Matthew thirteen twenty four. Another parable. He put forth to them, saying, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who sowed

good seed in his field. But when the man slept, his enemy came and sewed tears among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tears also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, sir, did you not sew good seed in your field? How does it have tears? He said to them, an enemy has done this. The servant said to him, do you want us to go and gather them up? But he said no, less while you gather up the terars, you

also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of heart, I will say to the reapers, first gather together the terrors and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn. So this is one that Jesus explains a little further down. Okay, so we'll wait

for him to explain because he's better. But I'm already starting to kind of see a pattern with this this parable we're what I'm seeing is some Christians that are acting like they're Christians, are acting like they're saved, you know, but they're not fully saved. Other ones are are the are the wheat. The other ones are the terrors. We'll see if that's the way it goes. Obviously, it says that they're gonna bind the bundles and burn them, but

gather the wheat into my barn, you know. So the good Christians are gonna come with Jesus, and the ones that are fake, they're gonna be spewed out. You know that the lukewarm will be spit out out of his mouth. You know. It says that, So I think that the terrors would be like the lukewarm Christians that are just hanging around going to church. Hey, I'm good, I'm saved because I go to church on Sunday. Yay, But let me just drink party, have fun, come back to church Sunday. Hey,

I'm here, guys, let's have fun. I love this, I feel good. And then all of a sudden they go back to the same exact way that they lived for the rest of the week until Sunday comes again, and then they're their back. Hey, I'm in church. I'm good, guys. And everybody's like, oh, this is such a great couple. This person's so good. Look at him. He's here every single Sunday. Yes, I'm saved because but they don't go home and read the Word of God. They don't go

home and be obedient. They're maybe, you know, they're not grounded in the word. Right, So let's continue the parable of the mustard seed. Jesus will explain the parable of the of the wheat and tear in a little bit. He goes over a few before he gets to that. Another terrible he put forth, saying, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed which a man took and sowed in his field, which indeed is the least of

all seeds. But when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches. So what I'm seeing here, even though this is one of the ones that Jesus doesn't explain, So what does he mean by it? I can't tell you one hundred percent what he means by it. Okay, So I'm not even I don't. I don't. I'm not going to tell you because I studied and tried, and I don't know what Jesus means by this, and I don't want to

try to make my own. I don't need to add to the word and try to tell you exactly what it is. Ah, the parable of the leaven. Another parable. He spoke to them, The Kingdom of Heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal. It was all leavened three measures a mill till it was all eleven. You know, obviously, we don't want we don't want bread with yeast. Leven is good. So women took and hit three measures of meal until at all elevened.

You see, there's parables here that I don't know how to explain, and a lot of pastors don't know. If they act like they do, then they're probably just guessing. And I would rather Jesus explain it like he does with the parable the wheed and terrors and tell us exactly what he meant. Then for me to put words in Jesus's mouth of what he meant. So I'm not going to sit here and do that. So the prophecy of the parables, all these things, Jesus spoke to the

multitude of parables without a parable. He did not speak to them that it might be fulfilled, which has spoken to the prophet saying, I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things kept in seek it from the foundation of the world. Let's see what I will utter, all right, it's Psalms seventy eight to two. I will open my mouth in parables, is what one portion is, and I will utter things. And I think that's an yeah.

The other part is not in Psalms. Some people said that he might be quoting from Isaiah, so it might be putting two verses together. I remember when I studied that, that's what I thought there. So all right, so let's see what Jesus says about the parables of the terrors. It's explained by Jesus himself, which is the best person to explain this, because he means as certain things. He means what he says, says what he means his yeses or yes, his nose or nose. So with Jesus explaining it,

it's better for us guessing like some pastors do. I think we need to not guess what Jesus saying. So then Jesus sent them altitude away and went into the house, and we're back to a Matthew thirteen thirty six. Then Jesus sent them multitude away and went into the house, and his disciples came to him, saying, explain to us the parable of the terrors of the field. And he answered and said to them, he who sows the good

seed is the son of man. So Jesus, he sows the good seed, the field is the world, and the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom. But the terrors are the sons of the wicked one. The enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. Therefore is the terrors are gathered and burned in the fire. So it will be the end of this age. The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather out his kingdom of all the things that

are offered that offend, and those who practice lawlessness. Sorry, his kingdom to all things that offend and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of the fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then the excuse me, the righteous will shine as the son and the kingdom of their father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear. Tell me that's not powerful. And some people they place this to the rapture. Okay,

I know some people believe in the rapture. Some people do not. But I do know that we will be caught up with Jesus. Whether it's a rapture or when Jesus comes back, one of the two, we will be caught up. I know that some of you believe in Satan's Little Season, and some people believe that Jesus already came back. So that's a theology I'm not one hundred percent on board with, but I know that that's out there,

So don't get offended that I'm saying this. Okay. What people try to do is they want to take these parables and spiritualize them, or take these parables as if Jesus is speaking to you personally. But I understand in the context Jesus is speaking to the people that are there at that moment, like he's speaking to his disciples right here, explaining the parables. And if you don't believe Jesus is God, then understand what he's saying, right How

is Jesus gonna know this? Okay? And also listen to what it says here, the son of Man will send out his angels. What what do you mean his angels? I thought that the angels were only God, the fathers. If you don't believe Jesus is God, how could he say that the son of Man will send out his angels, that they will gather out of his kingdom all the things that offend. So he's taking the place of God

right there. So that's probably why he didn't speak like this in front of the Pharisees, because that would be blasphemy to them. But you see the way that he's speaking right here, He's speaking as if the Kingdom of Heaven is his, which it is. God gives them the keys to the heaven, to Hell, to earth, I mean the earth, kingdom of Heaven, you know, and also to shield you see. So the way he's speaking right here

is if he is God. So I think it's vastly important for us to understand the wordage, Understand how we're speaking. Understand that he's speaking as if he knows exactly what's gonna happen in the future. That's something called prophecy. That's something that only God can do. God can speak to prophets and visions and dreams. God is the one that does that. God is the one that speaks the future, not only knowing your past, but to know what's gonna

happen in the future. Prophet, I mean profit prophets can also do that, but that's God speaking through them. But the prophets never say, if you notice, they never say that I'm going to send out my angels. The prophets only say God will send out his angels. You know Yahweh will send out his angels. The Lord will send out his angels. That's the way that they speak. They don't speak as if they are the one that's that the angels are theirs. They speak as if they that

are God's. But the way that Jesus speaks right here is if in first person, is if they are his angels. Do you understand the difference. I think that's vastly important for people to know. And the disciples, could you imagine the way if he was speaking like that to them, They're probably like, Okay, he's got to be something, you know, higher up than just a prophet. I mean, he's not just a man. No man could talk like that without it being blasphemy. And they know that Jesus is is

not just a great man. They could tell that he's speaking like he is God. That's why Thomas when he sees Jesus after he resurrects and he says, touch me, you see that my You know, he's got the holes in his hands, and he's got the peer side. He's my lord, my God. That's why Thomas spoke like that about Jesus, because he's bringing these disciples along to eventually know that they're not just dealing with a great man, and they're not just dealing with a great rabbi or

a great teacher. They are they are dealing with God in the flesh, my holy Spirit. Whoa hold on? Hold on, sorry, guys, default microphone. Your default microphone has changed to microphone real tech. Uh hold on, guys. Okay, cool, Hopefully nothing happened there. I hope you guys can still hear me. Okay, your default microphone has changed to the yet Okay, hopefully you guys still hear me, and hopefully the audio has been

good for some reason. When I speak, I speak of my hands because I'm Italian, right, because I'm Italian to me, so I knocked the microphone. So hopefully everything's okay. You can hear me, and everything's all right. There's no way for me to test that either. So anyways, all right, let's go to the parable of the hidden treasure again. The Kingdom of Heaven is like treasure hidden in the field which a man has found and hid for joy. Over it goes and sells all he has and buys

the field. The parable of the pearl of great price again, The Kingdom of Heaven is like treasure hidden the field that man is hid. I'm sorry, so hidden treasure, treasure is treasure is a place where you hide righteous things, or good things, or your precious metals. It's somewhere where you hide those, right So, so heaven is like a

treasure hidden in a field, you know. So I'm not going to try to explain him, like I said, but understand that this is talking about like treasure or something that's important to people, or something that's like amazing, you know. So you see that there's treasure in this one parable and then there's pearl, you know, so something that of

great value. Right again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold it that he had and bought it. Okay, And then this is the parable of the dragnet. Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a dragnet that was cast into the sea and gathered some of every kind, which when it was full, they drew to the shore, and they sat down and gathered the good into vessels, but threw the bad away.

So at the end of the age the angels will come forth separate the wicked from among the just, and cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Once again, just saying that the angels will come and separate the wicked among the just from among the just. So the drag net is like a giant net, and then you pull it, and then sometimes the good fish come, and then sometimes there's bad.

So he's talking about separating throwing the bad away. So you know some people they like they'll have one boat and then another boat. Then they have this net and they start pulling and then it starts gathering fish, talking about gathering some of the good fish and some of the bad fish. Some of the badfish they throw away. Right, So the angels are gonna come and separate the wicked from theus. And once again he's talking about the furnace

of fire. Sheil. Hell. If you go to Luke sixteen, the story of Lazarus and the rich Man, you get an idea. Once we get there, I'll explain the parable to you, or not the parable. I'm sorry, I'll explain that portion to you. But the rich Man is in sheel and the Lazarus is in paradise. And there's a giant chasm between them, and it says the rich man and has fire beneath his feet and everlasting burning. He's able to speak, he's able to touch, he's able to see,

he's able to hear because he's talking to Abraham. So he has all five senses. So that's why Jesus is talking about here, they'll be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Jesus said to them, have you understood all these things? And they said to going, yes, Lord. And then he said to them, therefore every scribe instructed concerning the Kingdom of Heaven as like a householder who brings out the treasure things new and old. This is such a powerful chapter of the Bible that we need to understand. We

need to definitely a treasure. Right, So Jesus rejected at Nazareth. Now it came to pass when Jesus had finished these parables that he departed from there, when he had come to his own country. He taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished and said, where did this man get this wisdom and these mighty works? And this is not the carpenter's son. It is not his mother called Mary, and his brother, James, josephs Simon, and Judas, and his sisters that were not all with us. When

did this man get all these things? Where did this man get all these things? So they were offended at him. But Jesus said to them, a prophet is not without honor except in his own country, in his own house. Now did he not do many mighty works because of

their unbelief? So here is a portion of scripture that the Catholics should probably read, no offense if you're Catholic, But if you believe that mother Mary is a virgin the whole entire life, the scriptures right here that it is not his mother called Mary, and his brothers James, josephs Simon, and Judas, and his sisters that were not all among us. So Jesus was the born, she was born.

He was born through a virgin. But what about James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas, and also Jesus's sisters, how were they conceived? Were they conceived of the Holy Spirit? And Mary just was a virgin the whole entire time? Or does it seem that Joseph and Mary had other children? That's kind of what the verses saying here if you're Catholic and you're listening to this, I'm not trying to be offensive. I'm not trying to say that, you know. I'm not trying to say anything to you guys, like in a

bad negative way. I'm just trying to say that obviously Mary had other children, right, so she didn't she wasn't a virgin her whole entire life because she had other children, and Jesus also had sisters. All right, So all right, that was a very amazing chapter. Fifty four verses in that chapter are waiting. Hold, I'm sorry. Fifty eight versus in that chapter. We were able to a nice little forty five minute set there, which is great. And now we are going to get to Matthew fourteen, verse one.

John the Baptist beheaded at this At that time, Herod the tetriarch heard the report about Jesus and said to his servants, this is John the Baptist. He has risen from the dead, and therefore these powers are the work in him. For Herod had laid hold of John and bound him and put him in prison for the sake of Herodes, his brother Philip's wife, because John had said to him it is not lawful for you to have her.

And although he wanted to put him to death, he feared the multitude because they counted him as a prophet. But when Herod's birthday was celebrated, the daughter of hereadus Heredis danced before them and pleased Herod. Therefore he promised with a note to give her whatever she might ask. So so Herod, you see, is married or with his brother's wife, and John the Baptist is pointing out that it's not lawful for you to have her. And he

didn't like that he was being called out. And it seems like he was either trying to impress Herod is right, and or he was trying to maybe he even liked the daughter too, But he said, whatever you promised, you know, whatever you might ask, he's gonna do, you know. So, she, having been prompted by her mother, said give me John the Baptist's head here on the platter. And the king was sorry, nevertheless, because of the oaths and because of those who sat with him, he commanded it to be

given to her. So he sent and had John beheaded in prison, and his head was brought to a platter and given to the girl, and she brought it to her mother. Then his disciples came and took away the body and burned it and went and told Jesus. So it's not like you become a prophet and life is peachy. That's why this doctrine of prosperity is not true. God is not trying to make you rich, famous driver Bugatti. Life is good. Everybody's happy. You have the big house,

the big mansion, the big cars and all this stuff. Okay, this is not what's happening. You don't be obedient to God and then God blesses you with riches. Because John the Baptist was obedient to God. John the Baptist, he he was holy, you know, he was not concentrating so much on this world. He was letting Herod know that he shouldn't be with this woman. He was still being holy unto death. But when you are persecuted for the Lord, then you will be blessed. You know, you'll be blessed.

You know, like it's like it's heroic and it's something good for you to be persecuted and die for the Lord. Right, that's what happened. You're noticing that just because you're a follower of Christ doesn't mean that everything's gonna be peachy. Just like me. Right now, I'm in a position that my wife is in the hospital. She her water broke early. She could have the baby at any time, the baby could pass away. You see me doing this podcast every Wednesday,

every Sunday. I have a Christian podcast. For the last four years. I've been working for the Lord, trying to do my best. People are you know, hopefully getting saved from this And you know God is saving people through this podcast. And I mean uses a mouthpiece to read the Bible. Hey, great, But it doesn't mean that God's gonna be like, Okay, no problem, your life's gonna be peachy from here we go. I'm gonna make you rich, famous,

money and cars and all the stuff of this world. No, when you get saved, that's when the spiritual battle begins. John the Baptist is not here cursing God when he's put in this position, is he He's still praising the Lord, still checking Herod even though Herod's a king on doing unlawful things. You see, obedient until death. But this is this is an opportunity for you to see that when you get saved, that's when the battle begins because the evil one, the enemy, is going to be ready to attack.

It's not gonna be easy. Okay, it's not about prosperity gospel. That's not the way it works. You can see it right there or else. John the Baptist, would it became the king had been rich because he's the one that's obeying God. And the Angel came and told his parents that he's gonna come and be a great prophet. You see, And what do we see here?

Speaker 2

Man?

Speaker 1

We see John the Baptist getting beheaded. What happened to the disciples? Did they become rich and famous and happy? No? Each of them died a horrendous death besides John. You know, John ended up going to the island of Patmos and dying of old age. But the other ones were crucified upside down, burned at the stake, all this stuff. So just want to let you guys know that. But be ready. The spiritual battle begins once you get saved, and the devil knows that you are now a target. So that's

why you need to start reading your word. That's why

you need to get into the word. That's why you need to get your relationship with the Lord, get it right now, instead of being like some of these people in these parables that Jesus is talking about, and then all of a sudden you get the seed, and then it's not getting watered by the word, and all of a sudden you're not praying, and then you start sinning, and then you're separating yourself from God, and then you don't have any type of foundation for you to come back.

You start getting separated from God, and then you get further and further away because you just lose that. So what I want to tell you, guys, I strongly recommend that's why this podcast is so important. When Jonathan and Jacob told me and gave me this opportunity to do

this show, I jumped on it immediately. And then when they call me and told me that they would like me to do another show, I thought it would be perfect for I thought it would be perfect for for Wednesdays to be New Testament, Sundays to be Old Testament,

and you could keep going back and forth. You've got the foundation of the Old Testament for you, and then the gospel message of the New Testament, and then the spiritual battles and everything that it's going to help you so much to go to the New Testament, you know, and learning about Jesus and learning about the Lord is going to help you so much. So I just think it's just such a blessing, such a blessing. So all right,

let's get back. Sorry, I ramble sometimes and I get on little stints, but you know that's what happens when you're a podcaster. You're not here just to read. You're here to preach, and then we're here to teach. That's what we have to do. We have to preach and we have to teach. The teaching portion is the reading and explaining, and then the preaching portion is why do we even what do we need to do with this information we're getting. We need to put it into our

lives because knowledge is great, but wisdom is better. So knowledge is you gaining the Word of God, but wisdom is applying it to your life. It's not about just listening to me speak to you guys about the Bible. That's great, but does that make you a disciple. No. All it does is it equips you to have extra tools on your belt, and it's going to help you when you get into spiritual battles. Okay, so we're at Matthew fourteen, verse thirteen. This is feeding the five thousand.

When Jesus heard it, he departed from there by boat to a deserted place by himself. But when the multitudes heard it, they followed him on foot from the cities. And when Jesus went out, he saw a great multitude, and he was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick. When it was evening, his disciples came and was saying, this is a deserted place, and the hour is already late. Send the multitudes away, that they may

go into the villages and buy themselves food. But Jesus said to them, they do not need to go away. You give them something to eat. And they said to him, we only have five loaves and two fish. He said, bring them to me, and then he commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass. He took the five loaves and two fish, looked up to heaven, and he blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples, and the disciples gave to the multitudes. So they all

ate and were filled. And they took up twelve baskets full of fragments and they remained. Now, those who had eaten were about five thousand men besides women and children, so it says we're about five thousand. So he's not saying that he fed exactly five thousand people. I've seen people call into radio shows a pastor's perspective, which I listen to sometimes, so on one oh seven point nine

if you're in California and it's at three o'clock. But anyways, uh, they called it excuse me, and their question was, did Jesus feed exactly five thousand people? And uh, that's why it says that he fed about five thousand men, okay, besides women and children. Okay, so no excuse me. But look at this though, is this is the type of miracles that that that builds faith for them because understand that they didn't have all the New Testament scriptures to study.

All they had was Jesus in front of them, God in the flesh, the Messiah, the Mahia in front of them, and he's turning these five loaves and two fish and feeding five about five thousand. So all they have is the Torah to study, and you know, the Old Testament, so they get they they earned sorry. Faith comes by hearing the word of God, right, So they were building faith by hearing the Old Testament and hearing the word. But also these miracles and signs are being portrayed to them,

so it's making them believe more. And Jesus is healing their sick as well. So these multitudes they came to see him, he's also healing the sick. So he's doing miracles, building faith by signs, and that's what the Jews needed. They needed a sign, they needed miracles. You see that in throughout the Old Testament. So it's making people talk. It's making the paras is super uncomfortable because you have this guy that is, you know, this son of Man who is speaking as if he came from heaven and

he's healing the sick. He is feeding great multitudes with five loaves of bread, two fish. He is speaking in parables. So the Pharisees don't understand, and they're like, what's this guy about. They need to try to find some way to corner him and get him killed is what they want. They want to get him off. So so let's go to soon. I need to tell my wife. Sorry, I'm saying. My wife is asking me a question. So I'm just

texting her real quick. Sorry, guys, I don't mean to get sidetracked, but I definitely it's very important for her too, for me to be here for herself. Matthew fourteen, Verse twenty two, Jesus walks on the sea. So immediately Jesus made his disciples get into the boat and go before him to the other side. While he sent the multitudes away. And we had sent the multitudes away, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. Then when evening came,

he was alone there. But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, tossed by the ways, for the wind was contrary. Now in the fourth watch of the night, Jesus went to them walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying it is a ghost, and they cried out with fear. Something I want to look up while I'm on with you, guys, is Matthew fourteen. Matthew, and what is that? Verse twenty six. I want to see what ghost means. Okay, so ghost and the new

King James. But if you look at the King James, it actually says spirit so and apparents a apparition is what that means. So it's going to be a spirit, okay, not a ghost like people would think. So you could say it is a spirit. And they cried out for fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them saying, be of good cheer, do not be it is I, Do not be afraid. So Jesus is letting me know, Hey, it's me. Do not be afraid. And Peter answered him saying, Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on

the water. And he said come, And then Peter had come out, come down out of the boat. He walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid and beginning to sink. He cried out, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched out his hand and caught him and said to him, oh, you of little faith, why do you doubt? And when they got into the boat, the wind seized. Then those who were in the boat came and worshiped him, saying, truly, you are the son

of God. So first of all, when you focus on Jesus and you focus on God, you focus on the Holy Spirit, then you're able to walk on the water. So Peter was like, you know, he's like, okay, if you are, you know, if you are, then let me come. You know, like, if it is you Lord hard, then then I command me to come to you in the water. So he was super uh boisterous, like he's ready to do it. Like he's like, all right, cool, let's go.

And he was focused on God. As soon as he took his eye off God and focused on the wind and and about things that are gonnah, things that are going to be hard are sway his life, then he sinks, that's what happens to us. We focus on the Lord and we and we focus on God. Then what happens. We're walking by faith and we're and we're not going to be sinking. We're able to walk on the water, we're able to do those miracles, we're able to get

over those hurdles. But what happens is when we look up to Jesus and all of a sudden, we see all these hurdles coming and we start, oh no, and then we start to sink. But you see, Peter, he that's what he did. And Jesus says, oh, you little, oh, you of little faith, Why did you doubt? Like, don't you understand that Jesus is walking on the water, So why do you not have faith? Why do you doubt? Also, last time they were on the seas and the you know, the wind was going crazy and and the waves were

going crazy. Jesus said, wind stop, waves stop, and it stopped. So how come they can't remember that? Because we are so quick to forget what God has done for us. For example, when I had my third daughter, she ended up having to go to the niqu because she was born early, so she was on a breathing machine and

we prayed and prayed and prayed. So that's what I have to remind my wife is listen, we're dealing with the same God that helped our daughter through this, So we're dealing with the same God that's going to help us. Sooe this too. You know, if it's his will, let it be done. So all right. So now we're on

Matthew fourteen, verse thirty four. When they had crossed over, they came to the land of Genserrat, and when the men of that place recognized him, they sent out all the surrounding region brought to him all who were sick and begged him that they might only touch them the hem of his garment, and as many as they touched it were made perfectly well. And as many as touched it made perfectly well. So as they touched his garment, that's all they had to do to be perfectly well.

And obviously those people had faith. They brought him to Jesus with faith. So when they touched the garment, it's not the garment that healed them. It's just that their faith was so great that Jesus was like, Okay, they're going to be healed because of their faith. They're not healed because of touching the garment. That's not the point. The point is they walked out in faith, asked them to heal, and the people were healed because Jesus saw

their faith. That's what kind of faith I need to have with the situation that I'm in, that it's gonna be done, all right, So Matthew fifteen, verse one. Then the scribes and Pharisees who were from Jerusalem came to Jesus saying, why do your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders, For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread. And He answered and said to them, why do you also transgress the commandmenter to God because

of your tradition. For God commanded you saying, honor your father, your mother, and he who curses your father or mother, let him be put to death. But you say, whoever says to his father or mother whatever prophet you might have received from me is a gift of God, then he need not honor his mother or father. Thus you have made the commandment of God of no effect by

your tradition. Hypocrites. Well, did Isaiah prophecy a prophesiah about you, saying, listen to this, and the people draw near with me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, But with their heart is far from me, and the vein they worship me, and in vain they worship me, teaching as doctrines their commandments of men. So I know this is in the book of Isaiah. I just have to find out where it's set. So this is very important.

This is hypocrites. They honor God with their lips. It's like me doing a podcast and I'm honoring God in front of you, But then when I go away, then it'd be like my heart is not with God, and I'm not worshiping God. When I'm away hop on the podcast, I'm worshiping God, which honestly, sometimes do I fall short of the glory of God? Yes, sometimes I do, But I try to do my best to continue to study

the Word. And you know, when I'm doing the podcast, I try to be explaining to you guys, teaching and preaching, and then when I'm away from the podcast, I try to do my very best. But obviously I am a human. But these are Pharisees that are honoring God with their lips, so people think that they're holy, but their hearts are far from them and in vain. They're worshiping God, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men, so teaching your traditions

instead of teaching God's commandments. So this is a God, This is God in the flesh, putting man in their place. Why do you also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition, man made tradition that you act as if it comes from God. But it is just a tradition that you follow, and it's something that got put in there by men instead of by God. And now you act like it's a commandment from God, but it's not.

It's your man made tradition. You're mixing wheat with the tears here, because your traditions are the tears, and then God's commandment is the wheat. And that's what's happening. They're growing right, And these traditions are the terrors that God wants to pluck and throw in the fire for each other. He doesn't want you to do traditions. He wants you to just follow his commandments. God is perfect. Do not add to the word of God, for it is pure

Proverbs thirty verse five. So God cannot lie right, So when he tells you his commandment, he's not lying to you like you don't need to have a man twist on it. Romans three four. Let God be true, every man a liar. Every man's tradition. We don't need to follow that. We need to follow God Sola scriptora. Follow the Bible, not follow what men tell you to do. New doctrines are created, traditions are created, and people place the traditions over what God is saying in his word.

I'm just letting you guys know, Jesus is checking them right. Now, take the plank out of your own eye before you take the speck out of another man's eye. These Pharisees, look what they're doing. They're transgressing against your tradition of the elders. They're not washing their hands when they eat bread. Jesus comes at them, like, listen, let me put you in your place. Son. You see what I mean. You're transgressing against the traditions of the elders. Who cares about

your traditions? Is what Jesus is saying. Matthew fifteen, verse ten, when he had called the multitude to himself, he said to them, here and understand, not what goes into the mouth defiles a man, but what comes out of the mouth that defiles a man. Then his disciples came to him. Do you know the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying. But he answered and said, every plant which my heavenly Father has not planted will be up rooted.

Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind, and if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch. Even though the Pharisees study the word, they come up with their traditions. They think that they are great, holy people, holy enough to try to check the son of God. But Jesus is telling them that you are nothing, but you are blind, and you will be uprooted, and you blind teachers are going to fall

into a ditch. You know, He's just checking them, letting telling his disciples, these are not the people you think they are. But he answered and said, okay, he read that part, So now we're on Matthew fifteen, verse fifteen. That Peter answered and said to him, explain this parable to us. And Jesus said, are you also still without understanding? Do you not yet understand that whatever enters the mouth

goes into the stomach and is eliminated. But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man. For out of the heart proceeding evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness blasphemies, these are the things which defile a man. But to eat what is unwashed hands does not defile a man. So worry about all the murderous, adulterous, fornications, thefts, witnesses,

blasphemies that are coming out of your mouth. Pharisees, you might wash your hands, big deal, wash your heart because your mouth, you're eating the food with dirty hands. What are you gonna get? A little sickness, maybe a little diarrhea, That is nothing. It's better to go to heaven with diarrhea. They go to hell with clean hands. You see, because he knows the blasphemies and the evil thoughts and the murders. These pharisees want to murder Jesus. They want him killed fornications,

you see that. That's that's just so hard as a as a as a man. This this fornications, thefts, false witness and blasphemies. Even though these pharisees probably don't know that Jesus is the son of God. I don't, I don't, and I don't know if you could push it all the way to the point where they knew for sure he's the son of God and they still wanted to kill him. I think that there their heartened hearts didn't

allow them to understand who the Masiah was. But Jesus is telling them that these diseases that you might get, or these little bacterias that might be in your stomach when you eat the food with unwashed hands, hey, the stomach will eliminate those but which proceeds out of the mouth, that come out from the mouth of the heart, they defile a man. Now, listen, Words can hurt people. Words can make it so that you Words can make it

so that you can live or die. You could literally be walking down the street or getting gas at the gas station and someone can cut you off and drive up to you and say one word to you, and you could say the wrong word back to them, and you could be shot and killed. You could say the wrong word to a police officer and you could get arrested and have a really bad night and go to jail, and something bad can happen. You can say something to a female when you know when you're married, and it

could cause adultery. You could speak to somebody about another person, slander them and say bad things about them to make someone want to go and murder them. And when you do slander them, Jesus is saying you are murdering them. Spiritually, false witness blasphemies, so you know, we speak blasphemy against God. They are speaking blasphemy against the Son of Man, the Christ, the Messiah by trying to say that he is casting out demons and the devil. Basically, I would say Bellzebub name.

They're doing blasphemies. So Jesus is basically just saying the spiritual matters way more than the physical. And you want to over here, you want to check my disciples for not washing their hands for your little stupid traditions. Your traditions are crap because of all these things that you're doing, and you're not worried about You're not worried about the adulteries,

the fornications, the false witness, the blasphemies. You're more worried about whether you get a little bacteria in your stomach, which your stomach would be able to handle anyways. So here is Matthew fifteen, verse twenty one. Then Jesus came out from there and departed to the region of Tyree and Saddam. And behold, a woman of Canaan came out from the region and cried out to him, saying, have mercy on me, o, Lord son of David, my daughter

is severely demon possessed. But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and urged him, saying, send her away, for she cries out after us. But he answered and said I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the House of Israel. Then she came in, worshiped and saying, Lord help me. But he answered and said, it is not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the little dogs. And she said, yes, Lord, even the little dogs eat crumbs which fall from the

master's table. When Jesus answered and said to her, old woman, great is your faith. Let it be you as to you desire. And her daughter was healed from that very hour. So Jesus recognized her faith. So is it not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the little dogs? So that's what they would do. When they would eat, they would eat, you know, and then they would throw their leftovers to their dogs. And you notice in Lazarus sixteen, the rich man, that's what was happening.

They were eating, and they would wipe their hands with the bread, and they would throw the bread they wipe their hands with out to the dogs. And the poor man was eating that bread, you see in that story with Lazarus, Lazarus was eating that bread. Sorry, So so you see what they were talking about. Yes, Lord, Yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from

their master's table. She's saying, you are my master, lord, so please can I at least eat your crumbs, and you know, basically responding to Jesus like hey, your lord. And he felt her faith and he was like, okay, let your faith. Oh great is your faith. Let it be you as your desire. And her daughter was healed that very hour. So Jesus has compassion on this woman because she has faith. You see, faith is so important. It's not about works so much as it is faith.

Faith is so important. You see that here that it is so important. This woman could have been a good woman. He's not saying, hey, you're a good woman. He is recognizing her faith, and that's why he healed her and the people that walked out. Like just chapter fourteen, it says the great multitude walked out, and they they were they had faith that Jesus would heal them, so we healed them. You see, like it's all about having faith.

Jesus heals great multitudes. Jesus departed from there and skirted the ski the sea of Galilee, the ski the sea of Galilee, excuse me, and went up on the mountain and sat down there. Then great multitudes came to him, having him having with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others, and they laid them down at Jesus's feet,

and he healed them. So the multitude marveled when they saw the mute speaking, the maimed, made whole, the lame walking, the blind seeing, and they glorified the God of Israel. So you see that the blind, the lame, the mute, the maimed, Jesus healed them. You see, he's building people's faith. They're following him because they're seeing him heal because they don't have they don't have the faith, because they don't have the Word of God. Because that's how faith is

being built here by reading the word. That's how your faith is being built by reading the Word of God. Right, So they need the miracles. So that's what Jesus is doing.

He's healing these great multitudes. He is Can you imagine having that, By the way, imagine having that much power and having that much responsibility on you that you know that someone's dying over here in another country and another city, but you're here healing these people and you see that someone's dying, and you have the power to heal that person. Do you understand how that could be really a difficult power to have? And you're just doing your best? How

many people are going to be coming to you? Please my daughter, she's so sick. Yes, all these people coming to him. That's a lot of responsibility and a lot of stress. So good thing. He was God in the flesh, and he was to handle that. Now, Jesus called this is Matthew fifteen, verse thirty two. Now feeding the four thousand. Now, Jesus called his disciples to himself, saying, I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now continued with me

three days and have nothing to eat. And I do not want to send them away hungry, unlest they faint on their way. So Jesus having compassion for these people, they are following him, and he's noticing that they are probably hungry, and they're so they are so focused on the Lord that they're following him and they're not eating because they are so amazed by what the Lord is doing, God in the flesh is doing. Then his disciples said

to him, where could we eat? Where could we get enough bread in the wilderness to fill such a great multitude. Jesus said to them, how many loaves do we have? And they said seven and a few little fish. So do you see? How do you see how the disciples forget so fast? They said, where are we going to get enough bread in the wilderness to feel such a

gay multitude? Like? Why don't they just ask Jesus, hey, remember when you you know, you had the fish, the five fish and two the five loaves of bread and the two fish, and you fed the five thousand. Can you just do that again? Ask knock, you shall receive. They should have just done that. It would show Jesus that they have faith. Why don't they just say, hey, remember you did that, can you do the same thing for them? So Jesus said to them, how many loaves

do you have? He said seven and a few little fish. So we commanded the multitudes sit down on the ground, and he took the seven loaves of bread and the fish and gave thanks, broke them and gave them to his disciples, and disciples gave to the multitude. So they all ate and were filled, and they took up seven large baskets full of fragments, and they were left. Now those who ate were four thousand men besides women and children, and he said, away the multitude, go into the boat

and come to the region of Magdala. See he's feeding the flock. I think that we could probably get into Matthew sixteen. I am. Let me see what we got here. Yep, Okay, so we're in Matthew sixteen. I think we could get this going, and we have about fifteen minutes. I do got to get back to the hospital, So after this, I'm literally gonna clean my kitchen and shoot directly to the hospital. Right now, it's about ten ten at night.

So just so you know the dedication that I have for this study and how important I feel like this is. I left the hospital, came here. I'm going to upload this to their Patreon, and I'm going to send this file to cult to Conspiracy so that this episode comes out on Wednesday. So just so you know the dedication that we have to make sure you guys get these messages. Okay,

Matthew sixteen. Verse one, and Lord, thank you so much for blessing me with a voice to be able to continue, because I had such a trouble the last show that we did speaking Hey, Okay, the Pharisees and sadducees seek a sign. This is Matthew sixteen to one. If you're following along, read Matthew sixteen to one. Then the Pharisees and Sadducees came and testing him and said that he had shown them a sign from heaven. Okay. Then the Pharisees and Saddestes came and testing him, asked that he

would show them a sign from heaven. He answered and said to them, when it is evening, you say it will be fair weather, for this guy has read, and in the morning it will be foul weather. Today, for this guy has read and threatening hypocrites. You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times. A wicked and adulterous generation seeks a sign, and no signs shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. And

then he left and departed the leaven and the Phariseeson Sadducees. Now, when his disciples said come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread. And Jesus said to them, take heed and beware of the leaven of the Phariseaeson sadduescees. And they reasoned among themselves, saying, it is because we have taken no bread. But Jesus, being aware of it, said to them, oh, ye of little faith, why do you reason among yourselves because you have brought no bread?

Do you not understand or remember the five loaves of five thousand and how many baskets you took up? Know the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many large baskets you took up. How is it that you do not understand that I do not speak to you concerning bread, but be aware of the leaven of the Phariseason's sadducees. Then they understood that he did not tell them to beware of the leaven of bread, but the doctrine of the Phariseaeson Sadducees. You see the doctrine, all right.

A wicked adult generson seeks to sign, and no signs shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. Okay, so we'll continue here. Peter confesses Jesus as the Christ. We're gonna go with Matthew sixteen, verse thirteen. When Jesus came to the region of Sarah, Sah Philippi. He asked the disciple, saying, who do men say that I the son of man am? And they said, some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, others Jeremiah and one of the prophets. He said to them, but who

do you say that I am? Simon Peter answered, you are the Christ, meaning the Messiah, the son of the living God. So, okay, since you see the difference here that you have Muslims saying that Jesus is a prophet, like Jeremiah, like John the Baptist, like Elijah. You see, that's what the Muslims are saying. But his disciples, which should be us, are saying, you are the Messiah, the son of the living God. You see, that's the way

we should look at Jesus. Okay, the Muslims are saying that he is just a prophet, but his disciples you see the difference. What are they saying, I am not my disciples, but these other people, Well, they're saying that you're John the Baptist, Elijah, or Jeremiah one of the prophets. So like they they're putting Jesus on that level. That's what the Muslims are saying, okay, sounds good. But who do you say I am to Peter. You are the Messiah, the son of the Living God. If you are the

son of God, then you are God right. So I just need to understand that. So Jesus answered and said to him, blessed are you, Simon Barjonah, For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father, who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter. And on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. And whatever you bind on earth will be bound in Heaven, and whatever you loose

on earth will be loosened in heaven. Obviously by the power of Jesus. Though okay, this is not the power of Peter. He's not saying that I'm going to give you all my power and now you have the power, Peter, have a good time. No, no, no, Jesus is the rock, right, Jesus is the rock. Jesus. This is through the name of Jesus, through the power of Jesus, through the power of the Messiah. The Mashiach the Son of God. That's

how you're going to have the power. I will give you the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven and whatever you bind on earth, binding through Jesus's name, binding through the power of Jesus. Jesus is the mediator between us and God. So they're binding through the power is through God. Peter is not the one that has the key to Heaven, to Hell and to the earth. Jesus has that. That's why he's saying, you can bind these things on earth through me. That's why he has. That's the keys that

he's giving. He's not saying, Peter, you are the pope and you are going to be me while I'm gone. So the powers through you, Peter, No, the powers through Jesus. Okay. People don't understand that. So then he commands his disciples that they should tell no one that he was Jesus the Messiah, Jesus the Christ okay, because he doesn't want them to tell them now that they realize that he is Jesus the Messiah, the son of the Living God, because he wants them to have faith and for them

to understand themselves. Okay. Jesus predicts his death and resurrection we're at a Matthew sixteen, verse twenty one. From that time, Jesus began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests inscribs, and be killed and be raised the third day. Then Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him, saying, far it be from you, Lord, this shall happen to you. But he turned and said to Peter,

get behind me, Satan. You are an offense to me, for you are not mindful of things of God, but things of men. So understand something. Jesus was just on the next to the rock. Our Peter was just what Jesus next to the rock, saying he's the Messiah, is the king, and Jesus is telling him what's gonna happen, because he is the Messiah, the son of God, letting him know what's gonna happen. And then Peter, his pride, is stepping in saying, far be, Lord, this shall not

happen to you. Get behind me, Satan. That's what he said. Because Peter was speaking with pride, like no one's nothing's gonna happen to you. I will kill them. I will slay them. No, no, no, this is supposed to happen. This is God's will, and Satan, you're not gonna get in the way, So don't try to say that far be, Lord is not gonna happen to you, because this is God's will and Jesus, this is going to do the will of the Father. Okay, so this is very important

for this to happen. So he's letting it. He's telling Peter, get behind me, Satan, and Peter was probably like, whoa. He's probably baffled by that. So you're not mindful of things of God or God's will. You're mindful of the things of men. That's why he checked him like that, this is God's will. Get behind me, Satan. You're not going to stop this from happening. Peter. You're being mindful

of the things of men and not the things of God. Right, you're trying to you're trying to create your own will instead of following the will of the Father. Right, So that's what's happening, right him, excuse me, Matthew sixteen, verse twenty four. Then Jesus said to his disciples, if anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, But whoever loses

his life from my sake will find it. For what is it profit a man that he gains the whole world and loses his own soul? For what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man will come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then he will reward each according to his works. But surely, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.

Excuse me, okay, If anyone desires to come after me, let them deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. Whoever desires to save his life will lose it. Listen, whoever desires to save his spirit and go to heaven will lose his physical life or the life of this world. But whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. Whoever loses his worldly life for his sake will find

his spiritual life, the part that actually matters. What will it profited man if he gains the whole world worldly things, things of the flesh, and loses his own soul for what will it give a man in exchange? For what will a man give in exchange for his soul? Do you want the riches? Do you want the fame? Do you want the women? Do you want the cars? Do you want the notoriety? Do you want all your gifts given up front? You can have those in this physical world.

Drake Lil, Wayne Eminem, doctor dre Nicki Minaj, any star that you see on TV. You can have all these worldly gifts now, and you can enjoy this physical life. And you can have these worldly things and enjoy your physical life. But when you die, you know you sold your soul. But when you die, you're not going to be getting the gifts. Listen to what he says, for the son of Man will come in the glory of his Father and will reward each according to his work.

That's called the Beama Seed of Christ. There's going to be the great White Throne judgment that judges those that are not believers. Then there's going to be the Beama Seed or the judgment seed of Christ, where God or Jesus takes your works places them in the fire, and then you get your heavenly gifts. There's five crowns, there's

there's certain things that you could get in heaven. Some of the stuff that you've done in works, if you've done it to boast or to brag, or you did it for money, or you did it for pleasure, you did it for some other reason than for God, those will burn in the fire and you will not get anything out of it. You know, it's not gonna be gold or precious metals you're gonna get. You know it's not gonna be precious gifts. So you're gonna get because it's gonna burn in the fire. He's saying that he

will reward each according to his works. It doesn't mean that you're saved by these works. What he's saying is you're already saved. Now you're coming to heaven. I will take your works, put him in the fire, and then you will get your heavenly gifts. You see, surely, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the sun a man

coming in his kingdom. This is the type of verse that people would would push towards the Satan's little season because they would say like the people that are standing there that he's speaking to will not take death untill they see the sentiment kemedist kingdom. Just throwing that out there. That is one first that they would probably say, hopefully you understand it. It's easy to digest what I'm trying to teach there. I'll see how long verse seventeen is.

I mean, chapter seventeen is. I think we could push. We've got another ten minutes. Maybe I'll try to get through chapter seventeen so that next week we could do chapter eighteen. Matthew, seventeen to one. Take a drink. I literally feel like I'm still getting over this, this this cold a little bit in two weeks because I noticed my voice is going out, Matthew, seventeen one. Now, after six days, Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves, and

he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became white as the light. And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them take talking with him. Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you wish, let us, make here three tabernacles, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah. Yeah, like Peter's trying to trying to tell Jesus what he should do. So first of all, First of all, let's understand something that I think is

important with this. With this verse, notice that Moses and Elijah appeared to them. Notice that Moses and Elijah recognized Jesus the Christ. The Lord appeared to Moses. It says in numbers twelve verses fourth the eight that the Lord spoke to Aaron and marry him, and that he comes to prophets and visions and in dreams, so not physically right there in person, speaking to him face to face. But when he speaks to Moses, he speaks to him face to face or mouth the mouth. Excuse me, John.

The Book of John says no one has seen the invisible God or invisible Father. So who is it that Moses was seeing in uh Exodus? Who is it he was seeing? Which Lord came to speak to Moses face to face? My point is, I believe that's Jesus in the Old Testament. That's why Moses recognized Jesus, because Jesus is in his glorious form. He's transfigured. His face is like the sun, so he's bright, and his clothes became

white as light. Okay, behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them now, And we got to understand that to these Jews, Moses and Elijah were great. But to Moses and Elijah, Jesus is great, the Lord. He's the Lord, he's God. So to them Jesus is great, Jesus is God. But to these Jews, who's Moses? Who? What's Elijah? The great prophets? So when Peter says, Lord, is it good for us to be here, Let's make three tabernacles, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah, they're they're not

They're not understanding. Peter's not understanding who the Lord is, who God is right here? Moses and Elijah don't need no tabernacle. That's how we are as men, you know, That's how we are. We're just so ignorant. While he was still speaking, behold, the bright cloud overshadowed them, and suddenly a voice came out from the cloud, saying, this is my beloved son, and whom I am well pleased. Hear him. And when the disciples heard it. They fell

on their faces and were greatly afraid. But Jesus came and touched them, said arise and do not be afraid. When they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only. So we have God the Father saying, this is my beloved son and who I'm well please hear him. If you notice, you don't see Moses and Elijah falling to the floor scared. No, only Jesus's disciples, because Moses and Elijah are already aware of who Jesus is. He is the son of God. He is God in

the flesh. They already know that. They recognize that. And God the Father is speaking, saying, this is my beloved son, who I am well pleased. If Jesus was just a man, then there's no way that God would give that type of glory or worship. Can I you know, like to a man. It just doesn't happen. So God is saying, worship him. He is my son, who I am well pleased. Hear him. And then disciples heard it. They fell in

their flaces and they were greatly afraid. Right, but Jesus came and touched them and said, a rise and do not be afraid. They don't understand. But this is God in the flesh telling them to a and do not be afraid. When they lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only. Why why do they see Jesus only? Because Jesus is God in the flesh right here, and he transfigured here of his heavenly to his heavenly body,

and they see him for his heavenly body. Now, as they came down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying, tell the vision to no one until the Son of Man has risen from the dead. So Matthew obviously wrote this in the Book of Matthew, so he is supposed to write this. He says, don't tell anybody what you saw. Do not tell anybody until I have risen from the dead, because if they start telling the Pharisees and they start telling people about this, then Jesus would not have died

on the cross, which he needed to do. He had to die on the cross for our sins. That is God's will. He wants to do the will of the Father. Jesus knows best. So he's telling them, do not tell anybody about this, because I don't want them to know that I am God. I do not want them to know that right now, obviously, So that's what's happening now. As they came down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying, tell the vision to no one until the son of

Man has risen from the dead. So that's why, because he needed to die on the cross. And also if they started saying stuff like that then they say that Jesus is God, then they would probably die before they could even write the Book of Matthew, you know, before they can even write John's Gospel. And so that's why Jesus knows best and when and his disciples asked him, saying, why then do the scribes say that Elisha come first? Jesus answered and said to them, indeed, Elijah is coming

first and will restore all things. But I say to you that Elijah has come already. And they did not know him, but did to him whatever they wished. Likewise, the son of men is also about to suffer from their hands. Then the disciples understood that he spoke to them of John the Baptist. So John the Baptist must have had this like the spirit of Elijah or something or or you know this is This is a verse that I kind of have trouble kind of understanding. The

disciples understood that he spoke with John the Baptist. So John the Baptist was he Elijah? I think that they asked John the Baptist. I don't know where Jesus knows. So what I will say this, Jesus is God. He cannot lie. So when he says that John the Baptist was Elijah, that's what the disciples understood, and that's we spoke. So I would go with what Jesus says before I go with what John the Baptist says. I think John the Baptist said he's not Elijah, but Jesus is saying

he was. Who do we believe? We don't believe anybody but Jesus. Right, Okay, now we're on Matthew seventeen, verse fourteen. And when they had come to the multitude of man came to him, kneeling down to him and saying, Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and suffers severely. Or he often falls into the fire and often into the water. So I brought him to your disciples. But they could not cure him. And Jesus said to them, oh, faith, this perverse generation, how long

shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to me? And Jesus rebuked the demon and it came out of him, and the child was cured from that very hour. So we see here that the disease that the child had are that was actually a demon that needed to be cast out. Now does that mean that every single disease is a demon? No, the Bible's not saying that. But what Jesus is saying is that the epileptic Caesars who is suffering from was

an actual demon. And Jesus cast the demon out. And now that the child is healed, then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, why could we not cast it out? Jesus said to them, because of your unbelief, Or as surely I say to you, if you have faith of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, move here to there, and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you. However, this kind does not

go out except by prayer and fasting. So what they didn't know is that that demon wouldn't come out with just you normally asking it to come out in Jesus's name, you wouldn't just be able to cast it out. But it needed prayer and fasting. It needed more faith. So also Jesus is saying that if you have the faith of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, move from here to there, and it will move. So we need to understand that we need to have that kind of faith. That's the kind of faith I need

to have with what I'm going through right now. I need to have the faith that Jesus will deliver us perfectly healthy baby, that God will intervene. God is the one that formed my baby in the womb. God will protect my baby, give it the lungs that it needs to breathe, and it's going to assist and it's going to come and it's going to be healthy. That's what I believe. I have faith in that. Matthew seventeen, verse

twenty two. Now, whether we're staying in Galilee, Jesus said to them, the son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men, and they will kill him. And on the third day he will be raised up. And they were exceedingly sorrowful, So he's letting him know that it's going to go down, and the disciples are probably starting to now understand that Jesus is saying this and is probably gonna happen. Peter and his master pay

their taxes. So when they had come to Capernaum, those who received the temple tax came to Peter and said, does your teacher not pay the temple tax? He said yes, And when he had come to the house, Jesus anticipated him, saying, what do you think, Simon, for whom do the kings of the earth take customs or taxes from their sons or from strangers? Peter said to him, from strangers, And Jesus said to him, the sons are free. Nevertheless, let

lest we offend them, go to the sea. Cast in a hook and take the fish that comes up first, and when it opened its mouth, you will find a piece of money. Take that and give it to them for me, from me and you. So give it to them for me and you. So that's really interesting that he has the fish come open his mouth and he takes the piece of money and he gives it to them. So so he's following the laws of the land to not cause any problems, so he pays them the tax.

So Jesus is basically following the laws in line. He doesn't need to, but he is. So we're gonna be taking We're gonna be in Matthew eighteen next week. I will do an in depth study for you guys. Obviously,

while would try to, I'll do my best. and we're going to keep it going. So thank you guys so much for tuning in. Please share the show. Please share it with as many people as you can and it'll definitely help. And also tell Jonathan and Jacob that you enjoy the show and leave a five star review on Apple. Please and leave a review and a comment about Sunday Service so I can specifically see that Sunday Service and Wednesday Service. Okay, thank you guys so much. If you guys want to subscribe to, my YouTube is

Josh Monday Music and Podcast. But like we always do, we're gonna end this in prayer. So Father God, in the name of Jesus, and in Jesus's name, Lord, I appreciate everything you do for me and my family. I just want to ask that you you have healed the name, the lame, the sick, the blind. You have made the deaf here the blind see. And I know that you can make this baby breathe when he is born, So just help me with that. Lord. I knew that you form us in the womb. I need you to form

lungs for my baby to live, you know. And if it's your will, let it be done. If it's not your will, then I understand. But please, Lord, help me to do that. Help me to give me words of wisdom to tell my wife to make her feel better. Also, help everybody that's listening to digest the Word as I try to teach and preach, and help them to continue to read the word. Help them be fruitful and get

the one hundredfold, the sixtyfold, the thirtyfold. Help them to be great disciples, and help them to make disciples out of their friends and family and people that they know. So thank you, Lord for everything you do for us. I really appreciate it. Thank you for Wednesday's service and Sunday service. I really appreciate it. Lord, Thank you and Jesus name Amen. Thank you guys so much for tuning in. I really appreciate you. Like I said, and if you do pray for me, I appreciate the prayers and I

really appreciate you guys. I love you and God Bles
