Speaker 1

Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome to Sunday Service, Episode twenty. I'm your host, Josh Monday. If you don't know me, I'm a Christian rapper, devoter, husband, following Army veteran. This is Sunday Service brought to you by a cult, the Conspiracy Podcast. Thank you so much for joining me. I am still kind of kicking this cold a little bit, but you know, it's kind of getting a little bit better. But anyways, so last week I had a Book of Daniel roundtable

that we had for you guys. It was awesome, and Wednesday Service we went over, you know, the Book of Matthew. So this week we're gonna be going over Exodus twenty five and I'll try to get through maybe twenty five through thirty something somewhere in there. So yeah, so let me go in on a share screen and we'll get into it. Like I said, please don't mind my voice. I apologize for my my voice kind of lacking. Kind of still kicking this cold a little bit, but yeah,

so thank you guys so much. We've had a lot of stuff happen over past week. We had a President Trump his inauguration and all that stuff and for conspiracy theorists. They could get crazy about all that, you know. So, but we're gonna be digging into the Bible. So Exodus twenty five offerings for the sanctuary. So we're going to be at Exodus twenty five to one, says. Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, speak to speak to the children at Israel, that they bring me an offering from

everyone who gives it willingly with his heart. You shall take my offering. And this is the offering which you shall take from them, gold, silver, and bronze, blue, purple and scarlet thread, fine linen, and goats hair, ramskins dyed red badger skins, and acacia wood, oil for the light, and spices for the anointing oil for the sweet incense. On next stones stones to be set in the ephid and in the breastplate. And let them make me a sanctuary that I may dwell among them according to all.

And I will show you that this is the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of its furnishings, so that you shall make it so, he says, to speak to the children of Israel before God, Moses, this is just these notes. These are not from the Bible, but he told Moses to take an offering. God wanted Israel to be motivated by his willing heart more than by the specific need. So let's let's go ahead. And this is the it says, the arc of the the arc of the testimony is what the title is. And this

is going to be Exodus twenty five to ten. And they shall make an arc of acacia wood two and a half cubits shall be its length, a cubit and a half it's width, and a cubit it of half its height. And you shall overlay with pure gold inside and out. You shall overlay and shall make it a molding of gold all around. You shall cast four rings of gold for it, and then put its four corners. Two rings shall be on the side, two rings on the other side. And you shall make poles of acacia

wood and overlay them with gold. And you shall put the holes into the rings of the sides of the arc, and the arc may be carried by them. The poles shall be in the rings of the arc, and they shall not be taken from it. And you shall put the arc of the testimony, which I will give you. So one thing that I noticed is God He's so specific. You know, He's got so many details that he wants these guys to do. So this will help. So, this

will help them with the obedience. You know, if you're able to follow these steps one by one like this, you can imagine the small steps that God would ask you to follow. So when you're able to pay attention to detail and everything that God wants, then you know, it's amazing. But one thing I want to go over. I just looked at my notes from the last from the last things that God was talking about with offerings

before we go forward. The blue is the dye of this color was extracted from a shelface, seemingly and other different hues. The purple, the dye from its color came from the miruric snail. It's a purple red scarlet. The dye of this color came from the dried, powdered eggs and bodies from particular worms. Just so you know where this stuff came from. The fine linen the terms translate to the Egyptian word that the Egyptians knew the undoubted. He taught the Jews to make them find linen. Egypt

excelled in the production of linen the goat. Hair. Coverings made from this material were typically black and coarse, similar to the modern felt. The ram skin has the customary had the wool removed from its light fine leather badger skins is difficult to translate. Okay, so we don't know that one occasion with the wood is harder and darker than oak, and it is very durable. Because of the wood,

eating insects avoid it, So that's pretty important. You don't want to, you know, termites type bugs to be able to eat through the wood, you know, because they're not attracted to it as much. So, like I said, you know, some some detail here. See if I have any notes on the tabernacle or the article to covering it. I'm sorry. Yeah, there we go. We'll continue right there. So all right,

and then uh let's continue. We're gonna be in Exodus and this is gonna be a lot these these sections are a lot about the building you know, of of of the arc and the building of the Tabernacle, and you know, I just it's gonna be a lot of that, you know, so stick around with me. All parts of the Bible are important, just to let you guys know. And we're gonna just continue reading, you know. So uh,

like I said, man be along for the ride. Uh. Some of the episodes are very uh you know, some of the episodes might be more entertaining than you other's. This one's gonna be more about the building of certain things. The detail that God has, uh when he's building these the arc and he's building the Tabernacle. So having these people build the tabernacle soul. Like I said, we're gonna go through the whole Bible, so it doesn't matter. So

let's go ahead. We're gonna have Exodus. Uh twenty five seventeen is we're gonna be and you shall have a mercy seat, pure gold. Two and a half cubits shall be its length. A cubit shall be its width. And just let you guys know, the cubit is estimated to be about eighteen inches. Okay, so when I say cubit, just to give it being eighteen inches. So if it's a little bigger than a foot, right, about six inches bigger than a foot. So when I say cubit, that's

what that's going to be. And you shall make two cherruboom of gold and hammered work. You shall make them of the two ends of the mercy seat, make one cherryboom at one end, and the other cherrybroom at the other end. And you shall make the cherryboom at the two ends of the one piece with the mercy seat, and the cherrybroom shall stretch out their wings above, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and they shall face

one another. The faces of the cherry broom shall be toward the mercy seat, and you shall have the mercy seat on the top of the arc. And the arc you shall put in the testimony that I will give you, and I will meet with you, and I will speak with you from above the mercy seat and from between the two cheruboom which are on the arc, and the testimony about the about everything which I will give you

in commandment to the children of Israel. So I wonder how they knew what the faces looked like on the cheruboom, because God doesn't describe that to them, so they you know, I think that, uh, I think that. Uh I just I wonder how they knew what the face would look like, you know, or how to make that. I think that's interesting. Let's see if there's anything I have in my notes.

So the mercy seat of pure gold is actually the lid of the arc, which made of pure gold and made with sculptured figures of cheruboom, and the picture provided in the Ark of the Covenant, and uh, excuse me. And in Israel cherrybroom symbolize God's attendant and messenger spirits. So yeah, there we go there so and we have Exodus twenty five twenty three. You shall also make a table of acacia wood. Two cubits shall be its length, a cubit it's width, and a cubit of half its height.

And you shall overlay it with pure gold, and make a molding of gold all around. And you shall make it a frame for the hand bear it of all around, and shall make a gold molding of the frame all around. And you shall make it for its four rings of gold, and put rings on the four corners or its four legs. The rings shall be close to the frame as holders for the poles of the bare table. And you shall make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold,

and the table make it carried. But with them you shall make it dishes. You shall make its dishes, it's pans, it's pictures and it's bulls for pouring, and you shall make them pure gold. And you shall set the showbread on the table before before me. Always let's see what's open the showbred. I don't have anything my notes about that.

Speak from the mercy seat. So the mercy seat, as if it was God looking down and his dwelling place between the chadubrooms, sell the law of the arc, and he knew it was guilty breaking its law, but atoning blood for sacrifice to sprinkle on the mercy seat. Okay, so let's continue and have much in my notes for that Exodus twenty five thirty one. The gold lampstand, and

you shall make a lamp stand of pure gold. The lampstand shall be hammered work, it's shaft, it's branches, it's bowls, it's ornamental knobs, and the flowers shall be all one piece, and six branches shall come out of its side, three branches of the lampstand out of one side, and three

branch of lampstan on the other side. Three bowls shall be made like almond blossom on one branch, with an ornamental knob and a flower, and three bowls made like almond blossoms of the other branch with an ornamental knob, an ornamental knob and a flower. So for the six branches that come out of the lampstand. On the lampstand itself, four bulls shall be made like almond blossom, each of

the ornamental knob and a flower. And there shall be a knob under the first two branches of the same, a knob under the second two branches of the same, and a knob under the third branches of the same. According to the six branches that extend from the lampstand, their knobs and their branches shall be of one piece of all shall be one hammered piece of pure gold. And you shall make seven lamps stamps for it. And you shall arrange its lamps and shall give it light

in the front. And it's wick trimmers and their trays shall be of pure gold. And it shall be made of a talent of peer got gold with it's with these utensils, so that you make them according to the pattern which was shown on the mountain, just shown to you on the mountain. So there we go. We're gonna be uh yeah, Like I said, there's a lot of detail in here. God is just giving you, uh you know, he's just giving him like peer detail of what he wants. Uh. So let me see what a like I said, I

got some notes on a sea does stuff. Okay, let me just uh check look at this that I wanted to So the art to the Covenant, it represented God's presence with the Israelites, and it was a symbol of protection and guidance. It was a sacred object that was carried by the priest and was central to the ancient Israel's worship. So I just want to tell you guys that. So it's basically like as they're holding the arc and the and they placed it there, then it's like God's

presence with the Israelits. And then like I said, it's they felt like it was a symbol of protection and guidance, God's presence. The arc represented God's presence with the Israelites, especially during their time in the wilderness. Protection the arc was a sacred object that protected the Israelites, especially during war. And guidance the arc represented God's guidance for the Israelites in exchange for them keeping God's commandments. All right, and

let's continue. So now we're gonna go to X. It is twenty six, and then this is going to be this is going to show them how to build the tabernacle. And then in Exodus twenty eight, twenty seven, and twenty eight, it's going to actually explain them building the tabernacle. Right, So it's gonna kind of be the same thing twice, but it might be repetitive a little bit, but you know,

we'll do our best to get through this. So and also in the Arc of the Covenant, they had the ten kmdaments, they had the rod of Aaron, which similites God's chosen priestwood at a pot of manna, which reminded the Israelites of God's care and provision. Okay, just want to let you guys know that that was in there. Now we're going to kind of get to the Tabernacle. Let's see what this represents real quick. What does the

tabernacle represent? Okay, all right? The tabernacle was a sanctuary in the Old Testament that represented a place where God and humans could meet. Also foreshadowed the salvation brought by Jesus Christ. So let's read a couple of things here. It says the tabernacle represented God's dwelling place. The Tabernacle was a place where God could live among his people, the need for cleansing. The tabernacle represented. The Tabernacle represented

and the barriers between God and humans. God's provisions and protection. The Tabernacle represented God's provision and protection. Jesus Christ. The Tabernacle represented Jesus Christ and who came in the flesh, and the tabernacle among men. So we'll continue to read here Exodus twenty six, Verse one. Moreover, you shall make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine woven linen and purple and scarlet and thread, with artistic design of cherry boom,

and shall weave them. The length of each curtain shall be twenty eight cubits, and the width of beach curtain four cubits, And every one of the curtains shall have the same measurements. Five curtains shall be coupled in one another, and the other five curtains shall be coupled to one another. And you shall make loops of blue yarn on the edge of the curtain on the the salvage of one set, And likewise you shall do on the outer edge of

the other curtain of the second set, fifty loops. You shall make one curtain, and fifty loops you shall make on the edge of the curtain that is on the end of the second set, and the loops make maybe collapse to one another, and you shall make fifty class of gold, and couple the curtains together with the class, so that it may be one tabernacle. You shall also make curtains of goat's hair in the tent. Over the tabernacle,

you shall make eleven curtains. The length of the each curtain shall be thirty cubits, and width of each curtain four cubits. And the eleven curtains shall be had the same measurements. And you shall couple five curtains by themselves, and six curtain by themselves, and you shall double over the six curtain at the forefront of the tent. You shall make fifty loops on the edge of the curtain that is outermost in one set, and fifty loops on the edge of the curtain of the second set, And

you shall make fifty bronze class. Put the class into loops, and couple the tent together that it may be one. The remnant that remains of the curtains of the tent, the half curtain that remains shall hang over the back of the tabernacle, and a cubit the remnant of the remains of the curtains of the tent. Half of them shall hang over the back of the tabernacle, and a cubit on one side, and a cubit on the other side.

Of What remains to the length of the curtains of the tent shall hang over the sides of the tabernacle on this side of that side to cover it. And you shall make a covering of ramskins dyed red for the tent. You see, guys, this is so detailed. This is how God is. He's detailed with them, and he wants it a certain way, and the covering of the badger skins above it. And for the tabernacle, you shall

make the boards of a kaisha wood standing upright. Like you said, the kaisha wood is harder, for you know, the termites are not attracted to it, so they're not going to eat it or the or the wood eating bugs. Ten cubits shall be the length of the board, and a cubit and a half shall be the width of each board. Two tenons shall be in each board for one another. Thus you shall make for all the boards of the tabernacle, and you shall make the boards of

the tabernacle twenty boards. For the south side, you shall make forty sockets of silver under the twenty boards, two sockets each under each of the boards for its two tenons. And for the second side of the tabernacle, the north side shall there be twenty boards and forty sockets of silver, two sockets under each of the boards. For the far side of the tabernacle westward, you shall make six boards, and you shall also make two boards for the two

back corners of the tabernacle. They should be coupled together at the bottom, while they shall be coupled together at the top with one ring. Thus it shall be for both of them there shall be two corners, so that there should be eight boards with their sockets of silver

sixteen sockets, two sockets under each of the boards. And you shall make bars of acacia wood, five for the boards on one side of the tabernacle, five for the boards on the other side of the tabernacle, on five bars for the boards of the side of the tabernacle for the far side westward. The middle bars shall pass through the midst of the boards from one end to end, from end to end, you shall overlay the boards with gold, make the rings of gold as holders for bars, and

overlay the bars for gold. And you shall raise up in the tabernacle according to its pattern which you were shown on the mountain. Shall make a veil woven of blue, purple and scarlet thread and fine woven linen. It shall make a woven with the artistic design of a chair boom. You shall hang it on the four pillars of acacia wood overlaid with gold. Their hooks shall be gold upon four sockets of gold. And you shall hang the veil

for their class. And they shall bring the back the arc of the and the and then you shall bring the arc of testimony in there and behind the veil. The veil shall be a divider for you between the Holy Place and the Most Holy. And you shall put the mercy seat upon the ark of the Testimony in the Most Holy And you shall set the table outside the veil, and the lampstand across the table on the

side of the tabernacle towards the south. And you shall put the table on the north side, and you shall make a screen for the door of the tabernacle woven in blue, purple and scarlet thread and fine woven linen made by a weaver. And you shall make the screen five pillars of a caca wood and overlay them with gold. Their hooks shall be gold, and you shall cast the

five sockets of bronze for them. Like I say, guys, this is this is stuff that we're just kind of seeing the detail that God wanted them to make the the tabernacle and how they overlay it with gold acacia. So this is just you know, not really much commentary I could do here. It's more about just finding out what they're doing and how they're building it. And now we're in Exodus twenty seven. I'm this is the altar of burnt offering. Okay, so see if there's anything in

my notes for Exodus twenty six. Let's go there real quick. And yeah, Exodus twenty six, see if there's anything that I missed and then curtain not re coverings. Yeah, I'm just kinda see if I have anything in my notes. So it says that the the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine woven linen. The tabernacle was a tent with a frame and a series of elaborate coverings. The section describes the first covering, the one seen from the interior

of the tabernacle. The plans for the tabernacle were revealed to Moses from the inside out, starting with the interior furniture and then working out just so we know that the fine linen with artistic designs of the cherirbuin the

design coverings were visible only from the side inside the tabernacle. Therefore, on the inside of the tabernacle, one saw cherryboom all around, as one would see would see in heaven Psalms eighty one, Isaiah thirty seven sixteen, and Ezekiel ten to three describes this in association with cherryboom on the arc of the Covenant, the golden winged images made by God's special appointment and set out of sight. Let's read about the five curtains.

So the five curtains shall be coupled. The fine linen curtains was made by sewing together five curtains, each forty two feet six feet. They were joined in sets of five. So you know that anything else I could kind of go over here. The goats hair make curtains of goats hair. The second covering was made of goats hair, producing a fabric that's dark, thick and coarse, someone like felt. The covering was made by joining together five six strips of fabric,

each being forty five feet six feet wide. This is estimated because there's a royal cubit and there's a cubit. Cubits are usually eighteen inches. Royal cubits are closer to like twenty four inches. Just let you guys know. I know this is not important to you, but that part, but you know it's it's important when we look at like the size of Goliath and stuff like that for people that are into the giants and stuff like that. Is there anything else here that I could kind of

go over that's important? The tabernacle, you shall make boards of vacacia wood. Each board made a vacation wood overlaid with gold. Okay, we already talked about that, yep. So I just kind of looked through my notes guys, just in case I have any type of thing for you guys. To the veil, you shall make a veil. The veil made of fine linen, blue purple scarlet yarn, and artistic design of cherryboom hung on the four pillars. Made of vacation wood, overlaid with gold, set with silver sockets. The

ancient Judes said. The ancient Jews said that the later veil of the temple was as wide as four fingers, so that there was no one could possibly see into the most holy place. See, you guys know that, and I think everything else, Yeah, everything else is good. We're gonna jump to Exodus twenty seven. Now, see if I have anything to pull up for notes. Exodus I got twenty eight through thirty one. I got notes there. Exodus twenty seven. All right, the altar of burnt offering, We're

gonna be Exodus twenty seven to one. You shall make an altar of acacia wood five cubits long and five cubits wide. The altars shall be square, and its height shall be three cubits. You shall make its horns on its four corners. Its horns shall be of one piece with it, and you shall overlay with bronze. Also, you shall make its pans to receive its ashes, its shovels, and its basins, its forks, it's fire pans. You shall

make all its utensils of bronze. You shall make it great for it you shall make it great, for it a network of bronze. On the network. You shall make four bronze rings for its four corners, and you shall put it under the rim of the altar poles of acacia wood and overlay them with bronze. The poles shall be put in the rings, and the poles shall be on the two sides of the altar to bear it. And you shall make it hollow with boards, as it is shown on the mountain, and as it was shown

to you on the mountain, so on Mountain Sinai. So he's saying to make it exactly like I showed you on the mountain, on the mount Sinai. So they shall make it tries okay, all right, And then we're going to go to Exodus twenty seven verse nine. So this is like I said, God told them how to build it in the tabernacle in Exodus twenty six to twenty seven. Now this is going to be them building it. So

just gotta make sure we know that. So Exodus twenty seven, verse nine, you shall also make the of the tabernacle from the south side. There shall be hangings for the court made of fine woven linen one hundred cubits long for one side, and its twenty pillars and twenty sockets shall be bronze. The hooks of the pillars and their

bands shall be silver. Likewise, along the length of the north side it shall be hangings one hundred cubits long, and with it twenty pillars and their twenty sockets of bronze, and the hooks of the pillars of their bands of silver. And along the width of the court on the west side shall be hangings of fifty cubits with their ten pillars and ten sockets. The width of the court on

the east side shall be fifty cubits. The hangings on the one side of the gates shall be fifteen cubits with the three pillars and their three sockets, And the other side shall be hangings of fifteen cubits for their three pillars and their three sockets. For the gate of the court, there shall be a screen twenty cubits long, woven a blue purple scarlet thread and fine woven linen made by a weaver. It shall be four pillars and

four sockets. So really they're just kind of going over the same stuff that they've kind of went over in twenty six. And you shall command the children of Israel that they bring you pure oil of pressed olives of light, and cause the lamp to burn continually in the tabernacle of meeting outside the veil, which is before the testimony of Erin and his sons shall tend tended from the evening until morning before the Lord. And it shall be a stature forever to the generations on behalf of the

children of Israel. So there's four camps. The tents are made of goats hair. They appear to be very dark black cloth. The tabernacle with white linen is is the center, and then black. What that represents, you know, the dark goat hair. Black represents sin. And this is in my notes. Okay, this is not this is not in the I'm not reading from the Bible, right and I'm reading for my notes. So the four camps, like I said, they're made of goat's hair. The black represents sin, and then the white

represents righteousness. And then the tribes always referred to as twelve, even some are excluded. Many times Levi was excluded. So what we have, uh, the way that the camp was set up, just let you know, is the tribe of Levi was in the middle. That's where the tabernacle was. And then you have three to the north, three to the east, three to the west, and then three to the south right, so and the tribe of Judah. I

can't remember which way the tribe of Judo faced. So you have the tabernacles in the center north three tribes, West three tribes, South three tribes, and then east three tribes with Judah leading. And the reason why you have, you know, thirteen tribes is as we went in the Book of Genesis, because Jacob adopted Ephrium and Manassai, right, so he blessed them. If you remember in Genesis we went over that. So excuse me. That's why you have

thirteen tribes. The one tribe Levi is obviously taking care of the tabernacle, and the other tribes are faced the other directions, the four camps, and also the four camps we had the flags were the lion, the eagle, the man, the ox. What's really interested with that is that's also the four chair booms around the Throne of God and Ezekiel in the Book of Ezekiel the cheruboom right when they talk about the cherirboom faces, what do they have.

They have the face of a line in the face of an eagle, the face of a man in the face of an ox. Also, you see that in Isaiah six, and you see that in Revelation four. So in Exodus the tabernacles mentioned twice, the tabernacle description given to Moses and then recounted again for a construction of the tabernacle, which we kind of were kind of going over. See

if there's anything else. In my note, the tabernacle is located in the middle of the camp and the thirteen tribes, the tribe of Levi, and the center, which we already talked about. I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything for you guys. The Camp of Israel models the throne of God. That's something that we should understand, right, there's that. Yeah, all right, I think that was good. All right, let's get into X. It is twenty eight.

We we're moving right along pretty fast here, but you know this is not and all let me see it, all right, yeah, let me get to Exodus twenty eight Verse one. Excuse me, excuse my coughing. I apologize, guys. Like I said, I'm trying to kick this cold for two weeks now pray for me if you hear this podcast, Pray for my healing. Pray for healing in my voice.

It's way better than it was before. Man. I did a study for you guys on you know, Wednesday's service, and man, I'm so glad you guys are so patient with me because I didn't see anything in the comment section about my voice. You guys are a blessing. But yeah, I was definitely feeling it doing that podcast. Ah. And then now we're going to be in Exodus twenty eight, so it does look like I have any Let me see Exodus twenty eight. I just want to see if

I have any notes. Okay, perfect, all right, Now we're in Exodus twenty eight. Verse one. This is the garments for the priesthood. Now take erin your brother and his sons with him from among the children of Israel, that he may minister to me as a priest. Aaron and Aaron's sons nadab Abinhu a Liezer, and it's Omar. And you shall make holy garments for Aaron and your brother,

for glory and for beauty. And you shall speak to all who are gifted Artesians, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that may make Aaron's garments to consecrate him and to make a and that he may minister to me as a priest. And these are the garments was they shall make a breastplate, and ephod a robe, a skillfully woven tunic, a turban, and a sass, so that you shall make holy garments for Aaron, your brothers and suns, that he may minister to me as a priest.

So obviously Aaron, he's out of the tribe of Levi. Before this is the way, you know, we would have to go through a priest to speak to God. Now, you know, obviously Jesus is our our is our high priest right, so that is our mediator between man and God. We no longer need to make a tabernacle, a holy place, a temple, arc of the Covenant, all that stuff. God's presence is with us, The Holy Spirit is with us now.

So something we need to appreciate out of what we have now, the convenience that we have, the grace that we have. Now we're not able to speak to God face to face like Moses, that's the convenience that he had. Also, God was doing miracles for them to build faith. As we read in the Book of Genesis Exodus. That's the

way God is building faith. Signs and miracles also speak to them like he did with Moses, and uh spoke to him on the on mouth sye and I. People can see literally with their own eyes the thundering, the tempt, the trumpet, all that stuff. They're able to see all that stuff when they're you know, with their own physical eyes. Now, we're building faith through reading the Word of God. We're

building faith by praying to God. We're building faith by you know, once we read the Word, we could kind of see God's characteristics and and also we could see, uh that he sin has only begotten son to die for us, where we believe that them shall not perish but have everlasting life. We're seeing that, you know, by saying the name of Jesus, you know, Uh, you know, we're able to you know, have power through these demons.

And we're seeing all this stuff. Whereas we're reading the Bible, there's foundations in the Old Testament that we read that we need to learn, you know, because uh, all this stuff is super important, you know, for us to appreciate what we have. Now we have a mediator. We have a high priest and Jesus for him to for us to be able to talk to God without having to do all this stuff. Right, we don't need the temple, we don't need the ark of the company, we don't

need all the stuff that they had back then. So I need more water, excuse me, guys. And then uh so yeah, let's uh, we got to appreciate what we have now. Uh it was it was such a detailed task before and now we have Jesus taking care of that now. So we live in a time where we don't get to see God or we don't get to physically speak to him face to faith. We don't get to speak to angels like like they did back then. Now we faith come with by you know, we walk

by faith, not by sight. You see what I mean. That's what we do now. But it's different because we have the Bible, so we're able to read, and you know, a lot of us don't even take advantage of that. A lot of us don't take advantage of having the Bible. We have a pastor read the Bible to us, and then we go the rest of the week doing our normal life. And then what do we do. We kind of by the time that next Sunday comes, we kind

of forget about that. So it's good for you to, I would say, you are if you are going to church or if you're listening to this Bible study. That's why there's a Wednesday service in a Sunday service, so that way you're taught the Old Testament and then you're taught the New Testament. And I think it's such a blessing.

Like I mean, Jacob and Jonathan. I know that their show doesn't always have Christian stuff, and they do have different kind of topics that they go over, but to have this type of show, it's such a blessing for the audience, you know, because you're getting taught the Old Testament and the New Testament, you know, and so vastly important in life for us to learn both because man, the foundation is laid in the Old Testament and then the New Testament. We see how much we could appreciate

what God is doing for us now, you know. So this is going to go over the epod. This is Exodus twenty eight, verse five. They shall take the gold, blue, purple and scarlet thread and the fine linen, and they shall make the epod of gold, blue, purple and scarlet thread and fine woven linen artistically worked. It shall have two shoulder straps joined at its two edges, and so

shall it be joined together. And the intricately woven band of the epod which is on it, and shall be the same workmanship made of the gold, blue, purple and scarlet thread and find woven linen. Then you shall take two onyx stones in the grave, with them the sides of the sons of Israel, six of the names on one stone and six names on the other stone, in the order of their birth, with the work of the

engraver in stone like the engravings of a signet. And you shall engrave the two stones with the names of the sons of Israel, and you shall set them in the settings of gold. And you shall put in the two stones on the shoulders of the ephod as memorial stones for the sons of Israel, so aaron shall bear their names before the lord of the two shoulders of the memorial. And you shall also make the settings of gold.

And you shall make two chains of pure gold like braided cords to fasten the braided chains of the settings. And let's go ahead and get to Exodus twenty nine, verse one. And this is what you shall do to them, to hollow them for ministering to me as priests. Take one young bull and two rams without blemish, and unleavened bread, unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and eleven wafers anoited with oil.

You shall put them in one basket and bring them in basket with the bowls of two rams, and Erin and his sons you shall bring to the door of the tabernacle of meeting. You shall wash them with water. Then you shall take the garments, put the tunic of Aarin and the robe of Ephod, of the Ephod, the epot, and the breastplate, and gird him with the intricately woven band of the epot. You shall put the turban on his head, and put the holy crown on the turban.

And you shall take the anoying oil, pour it on his head and annoy him. And you shall bring his sons and put tunics on them, and you shall grid them with sashes, and Aaron and his sons put the hats on them. The priesthood shall be theirs for the perpetual statue, so that you shall consecrate Aaron and his sons. Let's see what the ephi is. So quick Exus, we're red Exodus. Let's see Exodus twenty nine. Okay, perpetual stay. Okay, so here we go. We're at Exosus twenty nine to ten.

I just want to see I there's anything in my notes. Excuse me? Arm greetients shall be consecration the one young bull in two rounds without blemish. The ceremony of consecration requires animals intended for sacrifice. Consecration couldn't happen without shedding this sacrificial blood. Yes, so we need to know that.

So instead of the sacrificial lamb, the perfect lamb of Jesus being sacrificed, you know, which happened to us, there's there's gonna be you know, there has to be bloodshed, which I know sounds crazy and all the animal humane activists probably, oh, this is inhumane, but this is what had to happen for the sins that were committed, and that's just what had to happen. That's what God wanted, you know, That's that's just what had to happen. So

the unleavened bread and unleavened cakes. The ceremony of consecration required bread for fellowship with God. Consecration couldn't happen without true fellowship with God. The washing Aaron and his sons. This was not a ceremony for just anyone. In Israel. There were special consecration ceremonies available to anyone, such as the Nazarene Nazarite vow and the number six. But the ceremony describe here the carried out the Leviticus eight was for the priest and for Aaron and his sons. You

shall bring to the door of the tabernacle meeting. The process of consecration didn't happen, didn't take place inside the tabernacle. It happened outside the door the Taberlaca meeting. It was something that you could see. And you shall wash them with water. The process of consecration began with cleansing. All priests ministries began with cleansing, and cleansing was received. You shall wash them, And Aaron and his sons did not

wash themselves. They received a washing. This was humbling because it took place publicly at the door of the tabernacle of the meeting. We cannot be cleansed from our sin without being humbled. First, the great cleansing was the one time thing. Okay, So you guys know that, like the ancient priests, every Christian is washed by the work of

God's word. Ephesians five six says that he might sactify and cleanse her with the washing of her water by the word washed, instead of being washed physically with water and cleansing. Now we're washed by the word, okay. Titus three to five says, not by the works of the righteous, which had been done, but according to his mercies, he saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewing of

the Holy Spirit. Listen to that. And then the cleansing work was accomplished by the death of Jesus for us Revelation one to five. And from Jesus Christ, the faithful Witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth, to whom he loved us and washed us from the sins of our own blood. You see. So, yeah, some of the stuff we got to understand. You know that now Jesus fulfilled these things. You know, now we don't need to do this. That's why we're not we

don't have a temple. That's why we don't need a third temple like some people are thinking that they need to do in Israel. You know, we needed third temples so we could start doing this stuff again. And we don't need that. That's an abomination because God sent has only begotten son to die for us. Right, it's already happened, you know, So the garments, I don't really need to go over that. Yeah, So all right, we'll continue here

in Exodus twenty nine, verse ten. And you shall also have the bowl brought before the tabernacle of meeting, and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands on the head of the bull. And then you shall kill the bull before the Lord by the door of the tabernacle of meeting. You shall have some of the blood of the bull and put it on the horns of the altar with your finger, and pour all the blood beside

the base of the altar. And you shall take all the fat that covers the entrails, the fatty lobe attached to the liver, and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, and burn them on the altar. But the flesh of the bull, with its skin and its o fel, you shall burn with fire outside the camp as a sin offering. The burnt offering. Let's see what okay, let's see what I have here. Let's see

what this one says. It says Aaron and his sons shall put their hands on the head of the ram, which we read about as the sin offering before it. The burnt offering also symbolically received the sins of the priest, and they laid their hands on the head of the animal and confess their sin, and you shall burn the whole ram on the altar. The ram was completely burnt before the lord, with the blood sprinkled on the altar. The burnt offering said, we have failed to give our

we have failed to give our all to God. The animal now gives all of its a tone for its failure, and we decide to live now, giving all even to the animals who dies in our place. Here we go, we'll continue to read. This is just some of the stuff that's in the commentary notes, so that you guys understand. Okay, so this is going to be Exodus twenty nine, verse fifteen.

If you guys have following me along, and this is in the New King James, you shall also take one ram, and Aaron and his son shall put their hands on the head of the ram, and you shall kill the ram. And you shall take its blood and sprinkle it all around the altar. And then you shall cut the ram into pieces, wash its ent trails and its legs, and put them in with its pieces and with its head, and you shall burn the whole ram on the altar, and it's burnt, offering to the Lord. It's sweet aroma

and made fire to the Lord. Now made by fire to the Lord. So one thing I want to tell you guys, is back then, they didn't have a walmart or they can go and shop for their food. Okay, so they had to slaughter an animal and cook the

animal to eat. So it's not really like it's a little different for them when they when they're when they're you know, when they're preparing this animal for sacrifice, because what do you think they did if they had they had they have to have somebody, you know, like a butcher almost kill the ram and eat or kill cow or whatever they would eat. They didn't have. It's not the same as we have now. Now we don't have to go out there and kill the chicken and pluck

it and then cook it. Even though some people do do that, don't get me wrong, but most of us in the United States that that are not living in you know, rural areas and have their own have their own farms, and have our own chickens and have our own livestock, we're actually killing them. But this process would sound different to them than it does to us that

that live in the city like me. You know, So when we're hearing these these type of things, it might sound kind of grotesque to some of us or or this is extreme to some of us, but that's not that's not necessarily the case, you know, for them. So yeah, I just want to continue read. Just let you guys

know that. You know, so it might sound, yeah, like it might sound a little extreme when they're when they're talking about killing the animal and spreading the blood and doing this, Well, what do you think used to happen? What do you think happens when they're in the places where they kill the cow or where they kill the chickens and all that stuff. I mean, if they if they had a book that described what they do, it

would be it would be pretty intense, you know. But that's what you have to do when you when you when you're gonna eat an animal. So this stuff is yeah, I just want to just say that. So Exodus twenty nine, verse nineteen, you shall take care of the other ram. And Aaron says to his sons, you shall put the

hands on the head of the ram. Then you shall kill the ram, and take some of its blood and pour it on the tip of the right ear of Erin, and on the tip of the right ear of his sons, and on the thumb of their right hand, on their big toe and their right foot, and sprinkle the blood

all around the altar. And you shall take some of the blood of its altar, and some of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it on Erin, and on its garments, and his sons, on the garments of his sons with him, And he and his garments shall be hollowed, and his

son's garments with him. And also you should take the fat of the ram, and the fat tail, and the fat that covers the entrails, and the faty low attached to the liver, and two kidneys of the fat on them, and the right dye for the For it is a ram of the consecration, one loof of bread, one cake made with oil, one wafer from the basket of the unloved bread that is before the Lord. You shall put all these in the hands of Erin and in the hands of his sons, and you shall wave them as

a wave offering before the Lord. You shall receive them back from their hands and burn them on the altar as a burnt offering, as a sweet aroma before the Lord. It is an offering made by fire to the Lord. Wave offering. You shall take the fat of the ram. We'll continue to read, and then you shall take the breast of the ram of Aaron's consecration and wave it as a wave offering before the Lord, and you shall

it shall be your portion. And from the ram of the consecration you shall consecrate the breast of the wave offering which is waved, and the thigh of the heave offering which is raised. It is for Aaron, which it is for his sons. It shall be for the children of Israel, for Aaron and his sons, by a statue forever, for it is a heave offering. If it shall be a heave offering for the children of Israel, for the sacrifices and their peace offerings, that is their heave offering

to the Lord. And the holy garments of Aaron shall be his sons after him, to be anointed in them and to be consecrated in them. The son shall become priests in his place, and shall put them on for seven days, and he enters a tabernacle meeting to minister in the Holy Place, and you shall take the Ram of consecration and boil its flesh in the Holy Place. Then Aaron and his sons shall eat the flesh of the Ram and the bread that is in the basket.

By the day of the tabernacle meeting. You shall eat those. You shall eat those things which the Atonement was made to consecrate and sanctify them. But an outsider shall not eat them because they are not holy. Because they are holy, not eat them because they are holy. And if any of the flesh of the consecrated offerings or the bread remains until the morning, then you shall burn the remainder of the fire, and it shall not be eaten, because it is holy. So there's a lot of description here

that's very descriptive. And all right, we have twenty nine Exodus twenty nine thirty five is where we're at need to take a drink of water, because my voice is leaving me again. So Exodus twenty nine thirty five, Thus you shall do to Aaron and his sons according to all that I have commanded you. Seven days you shall consecrate them, and you shall offer a bowl every day as a sin offering for the atonement. You shall cleanse the altar when you make atonement for it, and you

shall atone it to sanctify it. Seven days you shall make atonement for the altar and sanctify it. And the altar shall be the most holy. Whatever touches the altar must be holy. Daily offerings, Okay, so we'll continue good through this, it says Exodus twenty nine thirty eight. And this is what you shall offer on the altar two lambs for the first year, day by day continually. One lamb you shall offer in the morning, and the other

lamb you shall offer by night. Our offer at twilight with one lamb shall be one tenth of an arab our epa of flour, mix with one fourth of a hen of pressed oil, and one thwarth of a hen of wine as a drink offering, and the other lamb you shall offer at twilight, and you shall offer with it grain offering, and the drink offering in the morning for a sweet aroma, an offering made by fire to the Lord. This shall be continual burnt offering throughout your generations.

At the door of the tabernacle of a meeting before the Lord, where I will meet you to speak with you, and I will meet with the children of Israel, and the tabernacle shall be sanctified by My glory, so I may consecrate the tabernacle a meeting of the altar. I will also consecrate both Aaron and his sons to minister to me as priests. I will dwell among the children of Israel, and I will be their God, and there shall know I am the Lord their God, who brought

them out of the land of Egypt. And I'm that I may dwell among them. I am the Lord their God. I am you see that says that, well, I see Jesus calling himself that I am as well. In the New Testament. All right, thank you. Let me see, let me let me go ahead and continue real quick. We are we're going to be on exodus thirty. We'll move them right along here, and this is Exodus thirty, the altar of incense. Let's see if I have any notes for Exodus twenty nine. There's a lot here, but let's see.

This is gonna be Exodus thirty. So let's go here. Alter of incense, all right. So Exodus thirty, Verse one, And you shall make an altar to burn incense on. You shall make an acacia wood. A cubit shall be its length, and a cubit its width. It shall be square. Two cubits shall be its height. Its horns shall be one piece with it, and you shall overlay its top inside all around, and it's horns with pure gold. It

shall make for it molding of gold all around. Two gold rings you shall make for it under the molding of both its sides, and you shall place them on its two sides, and they shall make will be holders for the poles which were which to bear it. You shall make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold. And you shall put it before the veil that it is before the arc of testimony, before the mercy seat is over the testimony where I will meet

with you. Aaron shall burn with sweet incense every morning. See this is let's see what this one's So let me go over some notes real quick before we start with Exodus seven. So they make an altar to burn incense. The altar of incense was made of acacia wood overlaid with gold. It was eighteen inches in square with three feet The two rings which were made the altar of incense also carried the system of rings and poles, just

like the Ark of the Covenant. The tables show bread and the raisen altar with its great Okay, so let's go to Exodus thirty, verse seven that we're reading from the Bible. So Aaron shall burn on its sweet incense every morning. When he tends the lamps, he shall burn incense on it. And when Aaron lights the lamps at twilight, he shall burn incense on it, a perpetual incense before

the Lord. Throughout your generations. You shall not offer strains incense on it, or a burnt offering, or a grain offering, nor shall you pour a drink offering on it. And Aaron shall make atonement upon its horns once a year, with the blood of the sin. Offering of atonement. Once a year. He shall make atonement upon it throughout your generations. It is most holy to the Lord. Let's see if

there's anything in the notes. The altar of incense stood outside the veil of the Holy Place, not in the most Holy Therefore it was fairly close to the ark of the Covenant, yet separated by a veil where I will meet with you. Sprinkled throughout this description of the Tabernacle, the furnishings were reminders of the purpose of the tabernacle. It was a place for man to meet with God, so you guys know that. And then aaronshall burn on

sweet incense. Aaron and the other priests, so we're instructed to burn incense on the altar every day as part of the normally priestly duties, both in the morning and in the evening. Incense is a picture of prayer and the sweetness of its smell, the way it's ascended to heaven. Yeah, this is something that's interesting because in Revelation five eight it talks about that the golden bowls of incense, which

with the prayers, were sprinkled. According to Revelation five eight, the ministry of the Altar of Incense speaks of how God's people should continually come to him in prayer. That's what the incense represented. So you guys know that Revelation eight three through four describes the golden altar of incense standing before God's throne. Then another angel, having golden censor, came and stood in the altar. He was given much incense that he should offer the prayers of all the

saints upon the golden altar. And then, like when he says, you shall not offer strange incense, priests were not permitted to offer God whatever they wanted on the altar evincense. Strange incense was prohibited, all right, So let's go to the ransom. Money is what it says Exodus thirty, verse eleven.

Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, when you take the census of the children of Israel for their number, then every man shall give a ransom for himself to the Lord when you number them, that there may be no plague among them when you know them. This is what everyone among those who are numbered shall give half

a shekel according to the shekel of the sanctuary. A shekel is excuse me, twenty garas the half shekels shall be offering to the Lord, Everyone including among those who are numbered for twenty years old and above, shall give an offering to the Lord. Excuse me, to the Lord. The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall

not give less than half a shekel. When you give an offering to the Lord to make atonement for yourselves, then you shall take the atonement money to the children of Israel, and shall appoint it to the service of the Tabernacle of meeting. And it may be memorial for the children of Israel before the Lord, to make atonement for yourselves when you take Okay, so I'm gonna go over my notes real quick, when you take sensus of

the children of Israel and their number. Later in the Book of Numbers, two against census were recorded in the nation of Israel. Here God made provisions to make a census without being plagued thirteen through Okay, so everyone including among those who are numbered from twenty years old and above, given offering. The census was to include everyone aged twenty and over. This seems to be Ezraelite age to full adulthood. There's that. Yeah, we don't need to go over any

of that stuff. Cool, all right, We'll continue a point to the service tabernacle, meaning the money was given. Okay, the money was given to the service of the tabernacle. There was a large amount of silver needed in the building of the tabernacle. This is how it was obtained. It was a quote by child Spurgeon that was in my notes that says it must have weighed something over four tons, and this is dedicated to the use of

the tabernacle. The special application of the precious metals was to make sockets, which were the boards which made the walls of the tabernacles should be placed. All right, are we going to continue here? Guys? In Exodus thirty, verse seventeen, then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, you shall also make a laver of bronze, with its base also of bronze for washing. You shall put it between the tabernacle of meeting and the altar, and you shall put water

in it. For Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet in the water from it, which they go in the tabernacle of meeting, where they come near the altar to minister to burn an offering made by fire to the Lord, they shall wash with water lest they die. So they shall wash their hands and their feet they die, and it shall be a statue forever to them, to him and his descendants throughout their generations. Anything at the so they made a lever of bronze.

The bronze lever had no specific dimensions, essentially a pool for ceremonial washings, set between the bresen Altar and the tentive meeting. When it was made, the medal of the bronze lever came from the mirrors of the women of Israel. It was wonderful thing for people to give the measure of their own appearance of God's cleansing. You shall the tabernacle meeting of the altar. Okay, so we have that. The idea was later expressed in Psalms. Okay, we'll continue reading.

We're going to be at the holy anointing oil. This is Exodus thirty twenty two. If you're following along. Moreover, the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, also take for yourselves quality spices. Five hundred shekels of liquid mirr half as much sweet smelling cinnamon, two hundred and fifty shekels, two hundred and fifty shekels of sweet smelling cane, five hundred shekels of Casia. According to the shekel the sanctuary of

hn of olive oil. You shall make from these a wholly anoying oil an ointment compound according to the art of the perfumer. It shall be a wholly anointing oil. With it you shall anoint the tabernacle of meeting in the arc of the testimony, the table and all its utensils, the lampstan and its utensils, of the altar of incense, the altar of burnt offering with all utensils, the lava of its base. You shall consecrate them and make them

most holy. Whatever teaches touches them must be holy. And you shall anoy Aaron and his sons and consecrate them, and they minister to me. As priest, you can imagine the pressure on Aaron and his sons, you know, because you know, every man sins, so they need to try to be holy. So it must have been hard for them, you know, as good think about that. I mean, God chose them because he knew who to choose, but you know,

it's a lot of pressure. I would think being a priest like that, because I'm not even a priest or, a pastor or anything, and I feel the pressure if I sin, or if i feel like I'm sinning or something. I feel like I'm letting you guys down. I feel

like I'm letting God down. And I feel like if I'm a representative of God, like I shouldn't be sinning, even though it's so hard not to sin, you know, It's like I mean, it's just the pressure, the amount of pressure that was probably on these guys, especially knowing all these things that God wanted from them. It's just okay. So Exodus thirty thirty one, and you shall speak to the children of issuels, saying, this shall be a holy

anoying oil to me throughout your generations. It shall it shall not be poured on man's flesh, nor shall you make any other like it. According to its composition, it is holy, and it shall be holy to you. Whoever compounds any like it, and whoever puts it on any of the outsiders, shall be cut off from his people. So twenty two through thirty three, anything about the incense, okay, So the pure when it's annoying oil, it says that this oil was used for annoying the priest, and the

articles pertaining to say nervous. It was regarded as a sacred compound that could not be limited, imitated, nor used as normal perfuming oil, and not be poured on man's flesh. The reason why is since oil is embolic of the Holy Spirit. We see, the Holy Spirit is not poured out to enhance our flesh, but to glorify himself. All right, we'll continue with the incense. Exodus thirty thirty four, and the Lord said to Moses, take sweet spices, stack anche

and galbanum, and pure frankincense. With these sweet spices, and they shall be equal amounts of each. You shall make of these and incense a compound according to the art of the perfumer, salt, pure and holy. And you shall beat some of it very fine, and put some of it before the testimony and the tabernacle of the meeting where I'll meet with you. It shall be most holy

of you. But as far as the incense which you shall make, you shall make only for yourselves, according to its composition, and it shall be made for the Lord. Whoever makes any like it to smell it will be cut off from his people. So let's see if there's anything about them. So they make incense of compound according to the art of the perfumer salted, pure and holy. The special incense of the tabernacle was made according to the same principles as the anointing oil. God didn't want

the sacred smell symbolizing the sweetest of prayer. He used the human attraction or adornment. Salted. This is a salting of the mixture. Was probably designed to secure the rapid burning throughout the addition of sodium chloride. Perhaps it was done for the oppress pervasi value of salt. Whoever makes it any like it to smell it, he shall be

cut off from his people. God was so concerned to protect the unique character of the tabernacle incense that he commanded excommunication for anyone who would make these holy things common. All right, okay, I think we went over the incense already. So now we're going to go to Exodus thirty one, verse one, if you're following me along, and then I'm going to go to my notes for that Exodus thirty one. There we go, all right, So let's continue here. We're

in Exodus thirty one my verse one. All right, here we go. So Exodus thirty one, it says Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, see, I have called by my name Besilah, the son of Erai, the son of her of the tribe of Judah. And I have filled within the spirit of God in wisdom and understanding and knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, to design artistic works, to work in gold and silver and bronze, and cutting jewels, for setting a carving wood, to all to work in

all manner of workmanship. And I, indeed I have appointed him with I believe, the son of a Misia wait aheh Mac of the tribe of Dan. And I have put wisdom in the hearts of all the gifted Artesians, that they may make all that I have commanded you.

The tabernacle of meeting, the arc of the testimony and the mercy seat that is on it, and the furniture of the tabernacle, the table and its utensils, the pure gold lampstand with all its utensils, the altar of incense, the althar of burnt offering with the utensils, and the labrett's base. The garments of ministry, the holy garments of erin the priest, the garments of his son, the minister as priests, and the anointing oil and sweet incense of

the Holy Place. According to all I have commanded they shall do. It looks like He gifted gave them some gifts, some talents to and they have him filled with the Spirit of God and wisdom and understanding and knowledge. Okay. So so even as God specifically chose Moses and Aaron, he also specifically chose the craftsmen for his service. So yeah, he specifically chose these people and filled them with the Holy Spirit, gave them talents in order for them to

create the things that God wants them to create. It says that he filled them with the spirit of God. God supernaturally enabled Bezillow to do the work of building the tabernacle. God saw his work just as a spiritual and just as dependent on the Holy Spirit's power and the work of Moses and Aaron did. Now we're going to be the tabernacle of meeting the ark of the testimony. You don't really need to go over that, Okay. Now we're going. Now we're going to talk about the Sabbath law.

And the Lord spoke to Moses saying speak also to the children of Israel, saying, surely, my Sabbath you shall keep, for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you. You shall keep the Sabbath therefore, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death. For whoever does any of the work on that person shall be cut off from among his people. Work shall not be done for six days.

Work shall be done for six days. But the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. Therefore, the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever. For in six days the Lord had made the heavens and earth, and on

the seventh day he rested and was refreshed. And when he had made an end, when he made an end of speaking to him on the mouth Sina, he gave Moses two tablets of the testimony tablets of stone written by the finger of God, so there's some notes here. Surely my Sabbath you shall keep. This command was strategically placed at the very end of all commandments, all of the commands to build the tabernacle. Through God gave Israel

a work to do in the building a tabernacle. He did not want them to do work on the Sabbath. It is a sign between me and the children of Visual though the New Covenant, we are not bound by the Sabbath. That's something I had one person. So Romans fourteen to five, one person's in steams one day above the other. Other esteems every day alike, Let there be fully conceived by their own mind. Colossians two, verses sixteen

through seventeen. Let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding the festival of the new moon or Sabbath, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance of Christ. So there are some people that believe differently than what I'm saying right there, But it says the principle is still important. Right for the Sabbath. Our rest in the finished work of Jesus is never to be eclipsed by the work of God. When workers

for God are burnt out. They also they almost always allowed their work of God to be bigger than their minds and the work for them. So anyways, yeah, we'll go there. So we're all right, we're going to go to Exodus thirty two, which I don't really have notes for because I wasn't intending on making it this far. Excuse me, but we'll continue. So the gold calf. Now, when the people saw that Moses delayed coming down the mountain, people gathered together to Erin and said to them, come

make us gods that shall go before us. For as for Moses, the man who brought us out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has come before him. And Aaron said to them, break off the golden earrings which are in the ears of their wives, and their sons and their daughters, and bring them to me. For all the people broke off the golden earrings which were in the ears, and they brought them to Erin.

He received the gold from their hand and fashioned it with an engraving tool, and he made a molding calf. And they said, this is your gold, oh Israel, you are brought out of the land of Egypt. So when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it, and Aaron made a proclamation saying, tomorrow is the feast of the Lord. And they rose early the next day offerings and brought peace offerings. And the people sat to eat

and drink, and rose to play. And the Lord said to Moses, go get down, for your people, whom you have brought out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves, and they have turned aside quickly out of the way which I had commanded them. And they made themselves a molded calf and worshiped it and sacrificed to it, and said, this is your God, oh Israel, you have brought out the land of Egypt. And the Lord said to Moses, I have seen this people, and indeed is a stiff

necked people. Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may burn hot against them, and I may consume them, and I will make them a great generation or a great nation. I will make of you a great nation. You see, you guys understand something. This is what America is doing. Now, okay, we now I'm not talking about everybody that's the American people. I'm not talking about all the people that are worshiping God that are Christian. I'm

talking about America as a nation. What are they doing? Well, if you look at you know, everybody kind of hopefully you guys would know about this, but you know, we

have a giant fallus. You know, the Washington Monument. It's actually five hundred and fifty five feet tall, and then in the ground is another one hundred and eleven feet so it actually be becomes six hundred and sixty six feet tall, and then it's six it's what sixty six point six feet or something, or sixty six point six inches wide, and it's a six six hundred and sixty six inches tall. There's like a whole bunch too, but it's a giant fallus. You know. It's like it's either

to bail or to osiris. If you go into the state capitol and you look up, you see George Washington's sitting there on a throne and looking down and there's twenty two stars. So those are like would representative angels. It looks like, you know, in freemasonry, you want to ascend a godhood, right, that's what the whole point is, so to become your own God. And that's what you're seeing in the Capitol, So it's just abominations. Also, the Bible is in that Washington Monument on the bottom. It's

like being binded, you know. So Satan is obviously ruling our government. That's just you you can just see it, you know. So even though people are like Donald Trump's in office now, so now we have a godly president, like, come on, guys, are you guys kidding me? We know what's up. So the same thing is happening. Okay, this is why God's wrath is going to come. This is why the Book of Revelation is going to be is going to come. That's why the Book of Daniel's gonna come.

That's why prophecy is gonna come. And there's gonna be wrath on us. So this is what God. This is how God feels when he sees us worshiping our cell phones, when he sees us worshiping pornography, when he sees us worshiping something else besides him, drugs, alcohol, nicotine, women, lust, idolatry, looking at stars that are in Hollywood like they're idols, going to concerts, throwing your hands up to Jay Z or putting your hands up to some band, trying to

worship them, not knowing that that's what you're doing. When God sees certain things. This is like showing you the anger. But we're gonna be quick to judge the Israel right here. We're like, what the molded calf? Why would you guys worship that but not knowing that every single day we are worshiping something over God, we're placing something over God. Maybe sometimes maybe some people. Sorry, guys, my throat is killing me again. Man, Like I said, pray for me.

Pray for me. Okay, my throat is not doing too good. But think about this. Some people they have a football teams, you know, like the Cowboys versus the forty nine ers, and that game is about to be on that day, and what do you do. You choose to watch that football game over going to church, and your family might go to church, and you might stay home, drink with your friends and watch the football game. I mean, that's just a little minor thing that that people do. But

you see how we place things over God. We place things over God constantly, so we might be quick to judge that Israel right here. They're chosen of Israel. Why would you guys worship the Golden Calf. Well, what about the Super Bowl? What do they have? They have a silver football and that's like a statue. And when they win the Super Bowl, or do they do, they start kissing this this idol and all the football players kiss the idol and they drink that night, they celebrate like

a ritual. You see, there's certain things, you know, that we need to realize that are happening in our to us right now. You know. It says that people made sacrifices to it. Like, it's just really interesting how God responds to seeing this and us not knowing that it's happening. Now, how many idols do we have in our life? How many idols do we have? We have so many idols,

including cell phones. You can use the cell phone for good, studying the word of God, sharing the word of God, sharing the gospel, or you can use it for evil. You know which people obviously do you know? So I'm just letting you guys know that there's a lot of idol worship going on in our lives that we might not even know about because everything they've normalized it so much. And don't put your faith in a president, Okay, put your faith in God, because we let God be true.

Every man a liar Romans three four. Be careful about putting your faith in man, because they will always let you down. Always. Look what's happening right here with Aaron. Aaron was a priest for God, and he's holy, and the people start put a little pressure on him, and he starts making a golden calf for them. We're gonna end this pretty soon because I'm having an attack on my throat, but we'll do our best to push through

at least till for twenty more minutes or so. Then Moses pleaded with the Lord his God, and said, Lord, why does your wrath burn hot against your people, whom you have brought out of the land of Egypt with great power, with mighty hand. Why should the Egyptians speak and say he brought them to harm them, to kill them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth. Turn from your fierce wrath and relent from his Relent from this harm to your people.

Remember Abraham Isaac and Israel. Jacob is who Israel is there? So it would be Remember Abraham Isaac and Jacob right your servants to whom you swore by your own self and said to them, I will multiply your descendants of the stars of heaven and all this land that I have spoken, or I give your descendants, for they shall inherit it forever. So the Lord relented from the harm which he had he would do to his people. So

Moses is smart. Remember the promises you've made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob or Israel, your servants, to whom you swore by your own self. See God doesn't need reminded by Moses, obviously. But he's just trying to plead with God for his people. Moses is the leader of these people. God put him in charge, and Moses is speaking on their behalf. So he's basically trying to talk to God and just kind of negotiate with God for the people.

And it says here. And Moses turned and went down from the mountain, and the two tablet to the testimony were in his hand. The tablets were written on both sides, one side and the other. They were written. Now, the tablets were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God engraved on the tablets. And when Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said to Moses, there is a noise in the

war of war in the camp. But he says, it is not the noise of the shout of victory, nor the noise of the cry of defeat, but the sound of singing I hear. So it was as soon as he came near the camp that he saw the calf and the dancing. So moses anger became hot, and he cast the tablets of his hands and broke them at

the foot of the mountain. And he took the calf which they made, and burned it in the fire and ground it to the powder, ground it to powder, and he scattered it, excuse me, scattered it on the water, and made the children of Israel drink it. And then Moses said to Aaron, what did this people do to you that you have brought so great sin upon them? So Aaron said, do not let your anger of my lord become hot. You know the people that they are set on evil. For they said to me, make us gods,

that you shall go before us. For as for Moses and the man who brought us out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him. I said to them, whoever has any gold. Let them break it off so that they gave it to me, and I cast it into fire, and this calf came out, and the calf came out. Now, when Moses saw that the people were unrestrained, for Aaron had not restrained them, to their shame among their enemies. Then Moses stood at the entrance of the camp and said, whoever is on

the Lord's side, come to me. All the sons of Levi gathered themselves together to him, and he said to them, thus says the Lord of Israel. Let every man put his sword on his side and go in and out of the entrance of entrance throughout the camp, and let every man kill his brother, every man his companion, and every man his neighbor. So the sons of Levi did according to the word of Moses, and about three hundred

men of the people fell that day. And Moses said, to consecrate yourselves today to the Lord, that you may be bestow on you a blessing this day, for every man has opposed his son and his brother. So this is a major thing, you know. They they're breaking a god's law obviously, and just had to be handled. Exodus thirty two thirty excuse me. Now, it came to pass on the next day that Moses said to the people, you have commited he did a great sin. So now I will go up to the Lord. Perhaps I can

make atonement for your sin. Then Moses returned to the Lord and said, oh, these people have committed a great sin and have made for themselves say a god of gold. Yet, now if you forgive their sin, but if not, I pray, blot me out of your book which you have written. So he's saying, he's saying that he will sacrifice himself for these people. You can block me out of the book of life, you know. So he's uh, he's putting

himself on the line there. And the Lord said to Moses, whoever has sinned against me, I will blot him out of my book. Now, therefore, go lead the people to the place which I have spoken to you. Behold, my angels shall shall go before you. Nevertheless, in the day which I which when I visit for punishment, I will visit punishment upon them for their sin. So the Lord plagued the people because of what they did with the calf which Aaron had made. Yeah, stiff necked people, that's

what we are now, we're very stiff neck Uh. There's a lot of stiff necked people that you could talk to about the Gospel and they're just gonna shun you and tell you to get away from them. Uh, you know. And there's there's a lot of stiff necked people right now that are atheists that are stuck even though they

don't understand, but they are. I'm not gonna I'm not trying to talk bad about you if you're atheists, and if you are listening to this, I'm just trying to say that it's very hard to get through to you with the Gospel. But you know, I pray that you know, you become more open to the Bible and more open to you know, to God's grace. It's something that we need. And whether people realize that or not, you can only

worship one master. That's that's the way it says. That's what it says in the Bible, and it's apps litally true. You could love thy Lord, thy God, or you can hate God, one of the two, and that's what happens. And when you hate God, whether you know it or not, you are worshiping a satan. That's what it is. Biblically, you're worshiping Satan or worshiping fallen angels, even though you

just don't know it. So when people say that they're atheists and they don't believe in any God or any what they don't know is they are worshiping a master. They might not be worshiping the One True God, the King of Kings, the real Master. They might be worshiping. They are worshiping another master, whether they know it or not. What I think we could do, we could probably, We'll probably go through We'll go through a couple more chapters. We're kind of going through a lot here, but we

want to get through accident. And and like I said, reading every page of the Bible, every verse by verse is such a blessing. I wish I had a Bible study like this. You know, before I never really what what I normally did was I would listen to pastors. And that's what I like about calviriy Chapel, not saying that you have to go to Calviri Chapel or anything like that. I know that some people aren't in agreeance with maybe like their eschatology. Some people are not in

agreements with certain things. But what I like about going to Calviy Chapel is they go through the Bible, which I love. And as a pastor or as a teacher, it is not easy to go through the Bible. I'm just letting you guys know that it's not easy. You have to do a lot of studying. And for me, I have, like I have a window of four days to study for this, for this sermon, and I only get like one or two days to study for Wednesday service. So I'm trying to do my best here to provide

you guys with as much knowledge as I can. Now. It is it easy for me to study the building of the Tabernacle and the priesthood. Some of it is hard for me to study. It's hard for me to go over, you know, because I like the meat of the Bible and some of the stuff in the Bible. I like the this this stuff obviously when you're talking about cubits and and you know, it's not always easy to uh to sit there and study some of the stuff.

And just letting you guys know. You know, it's a I like when when pastors go through the Bible, whether it's the stuff that's hard to go over or the stuff that's that's easy to go over, you know, like when I go over the Book of Matthew in the New Testament with Wednesday service, I feel like it's it's easier for me to digest, it's easier for me to teach. When I go to the Old Testament, it's a little harder.

Why is that, Well, the reason why is because a lot of us are not doing deep studies into the Old Testament. So it seems like a lot of us have done a lot more deeper studies in the New Testament. It's easier to digest, but it's vastly important for us to have the Old Testament as well, so we have the foundation, so we can find out that detail that God put into the Tabernacle, the Holy of Holies, the priesthood,

to know that we have God. You know, we have Jesus as our high priest now, and we don't need to do all these wash our hands and all that stuff. God is washing us with the Word and the Holy Spirit. So I just think it's it's important and I just want to go over that. I'm at the end of my voice here pretty soon, so I'll do my best.

Exodus thirty three, Verse one then the Lord said to Moses, depart and go up from there, and the people whom you have brought out to the land of Egypt, to the land which I swore to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, saying to your descendants, I will give it, and I will send my angel before you, and I will drive out the Canaanite and the Amorite, the Hittite, the Parasite,

the Hipbite, and the Jebusite. Go up to a land flowing with milk and honey, and I will go up to the midst and lets I consume you on the way, for you are a stiff necked people. It's funny you are stiff necked, right, you are so prideful, so arrogant, stubborn. You are stubborn. That's a good way to put that. So the Canaanite, the Amorite, the Amorites are gonna be giants. The Hittites, the Parasites, the Hippatites, and the Jebusite. Understand that a lot of the stuff has to do with

the Nephelene. Right, He's going to drive out the people. Those people are those a lot of those are giant tribes. Okay, the Amorites are gonna be the King of Bashon. That's one of the ones. If you ever, if you ever study, if you ever do a deep study on the Nephilene. A lot of people bring up the King of Bashon because his bed was fifteen by nine fifteen feet or fifteen cubits by nine, so it was like a huge bed. He was known to be a giant, you know. So yeah,

And now we're at Exodus thirty three, verse four. And when the people heard this bad news, they mourned, and no one put on his ornaments. For the Lord said to Moses, say, to the children of Israel, you are stiff necked people, stubborn people. I could come up in the midst of one moment and consume you. Now, therefore, take off your ornaments, that I may know what to do to you. For the children of Israel stripped themselves with their ornaments by Mount Horb. Excuse me. Now we're

on Exodus thirty three, verse seven. Moses took his tent and pitched it outside the camp, far from the camp, and called it the Tabernacle of Meeting. And it came to pass that everyone who sought the Lord went out to the tabernacle of meeting, which was outside the camp. So it was whenever Moses went out to the tabernacle that all the people rose, and each man stood at his tent door and watched Moses until he had gone

out to the tabernacle. It has came to pass when Moses entered the tabernacle that the pillar of cloud descended and stood at the door of the tabernacle. The Lord talked with Moses. Think about that. Think about that. And it's always talking about God being on a cloud. It always the Bible references a lot about about God being on a cloud, you know. So I think that's interesting. So all the people saw the pillar of clouds standing at the tabernacle door, and all the people rose and

worshiped each man in his tent door. So the Lord spoke to Moses face to face as a man speak to his friend. And he would return to the camp. But his servant, Joshua, the son of None, a young man, did not depart from his tabernacle. This is what I'm talking about Numbers twelve, verses four through eight. I come to prophets and visions and dreams, But when I speak to Moses, I speak to him face to face. Or it says, mouth to mouth, he speaks to him like a man speaks to his friend. God is so awesome,

so beautiful here. And I would say that this would be Jesus speaking to Moses. Why because John says that no man has seen the invisible God. WI should be God the Father, but man has seen Jesus. Also, when Jesus met with Moses and Elijah, they recognized each other because they have spoken before. That's why Moses and Elijah recognized Jesus. You know. So I believe that this is Jesus in the Old Testament coming to speak to Moses face to face. That's what I believe. Am I one

hundred percent correct? I don't know, this is just what I believe. You'd have to do some deeper studies to find out. But it's absolutely fascinating that God comes down on a pillar of cloud, descend instead above the tabernacle, and the Lord's talk to Moses, and the way I love how it says that that Moses spoke to God face to face as a man speaks to his friend. I love it. God wants you, wants to be involved in your life. God wants you to be speaking to

him now. Obviously with respect. But now we have a mediator between us and man in Jesus. Christ are high priests, so we pray through Jesus to God and we're able to speak to God the Father. I think it's absolutely amazing and we are so blessed to be able to have that ability. Look at all the detail that people had to do before to be able to go into the Holy of Holies and speak to God. Now we have Jesus, who is so holy, who did not sin, that we're able to speak through to speak to God

the Father. What a blessing that we have that some of these people that are atheists don't even realize that, have no idea how much of a blessing it is. And then also the people that don't believe in Jesus, you know, the Jews now who are still trying to get a third temple built so that they could do all the stuff that's already been taken care of and washed by Jesus already. See, the Messiah has came, Jesus the Christ, right, Yeah, so people got to understand that.

So we're going to be at an exodus thirty three, verse twelve. Then Moses said to the Lord, see you say to me bring up his people, But you have not let me know whom you will send with me. Yet you said, I know you by name, and you have also found grace in my sight. Now, therefore I pray, if I have found grace in your sight, show me now your way, that I may know you, and I may find grace in your site and consider this nation as your people. And he said, my presence will go

with you, and I will give you rest. Then he said to him, if your presence does not go with us, you do not bring us from here for now, then will it be known for your people. I have found grace in your site, except you go with us. So we shall be separate for your people and I from all the people who are upon the face of the earth. So the Lord said to Moses, I will also bring this thing with you have spoken, for I have found grace in my sight and I know you by name.

And he said, pray, please show me your glory. Then he said, I will make all my goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. But he said, you cannot see my face, for no man shall see me and live. And the Lord said, here is a place by me. You shall stand on the rock, and you shall be while my glory passes by.

I will put you in the cleft of the rock, and I will cover you with my hand while I pass by, and I will take my away my hand, and you shall see my back, but my face shall not be seen. Yeah, so very interesting there. You cannot see my face nor shall you see me right so and live. So if you see God, you would just you would die. So I think we're good. I think we kind of went over a good amount. So next

week my voice will be back. I can already tells it's getting better, you know, hopefully, you guys, you guys can hopefully my voice comes back by Wednesday service. But right now, we're gonna start next week at Exodus thirty four, So now it'll be more smooth, you know, we'll be done with the building part and all the description of the tabernacle and all that stuff, and the ark of

the Covenant and all that the arc of testimony. So yeah, so we will pick up at Exodus thirty four versus one next week, let me just stop screenshare and go over a few things. So sometimes I, like I said, sometimes Sunday Service will be like a roundtable. Sometimes it'll just be this Bible study, right, And I'm going to be sticking to the Old Testament on Sunday Service, and on Wednesday Service, I'm gonna be sticking to the New Testament.

We're in the Book of Matthew. So this Wednesday I'll be going over the Book of matth you and then next week I should be in Exodus thirty four in this study. And one thing I want to tell all of you guys is I really appreciate you listening to the Bible Study. And I really appreciate you leaving comments and on Spotify so that I could see exactly you

guys are following along if you like the episode. And I would really appreciate if you guys could leave comments there also when you give a review on Apple, if you could leave in the comments, hey, I listened to

Sunday Service. I like Sunday Service that way. Jonathan and Jacob, No, because guys, as you know, for yourselves and for others, this is vastly important because people are hearing the conspiracies on Jacob and Jonathan's show, call the Conspiracy, Right, they're hearing all these conspiracies, but they're going to need an answer to the conspiracies. And as we know, the answer is going to be Jesus's way at the bottom of these conspiracies. God is waiting at the bottom of these

conspiracies so that you have an answer. Jesus is the Way, the truth, the life right. So we need to have an answer to these conspiracies. We don't want to just be going through conspiracies and then at the end, what's the answer? What do we do now? Well, what you do now is you read the Bible, and you have the Bible as your truth and your foundation, so that when you go into these conspiracies, then you already know what's behind us. We know that Satan is behind these

conspiracies and against and behind the evil. His fallen angels, his demons are behind this evil that we're going through. So I just want to make sure you guys know that. So this is vastly important, and the way to keep this thing rolling on their show is to let Jonathan and Jacob know that you enjoy Sunday service and Wednesday's service so we could keep this thing going. Now, I'll let you know if I were to stop Sunday service ver some on Wednesday service on Jonathan and Jacob's show.

At any point, I'll just let you know. I will continue the Bible study on my own show. But this is getting to a wider audience than my show, so I think that it's vastly important. Just letting you guys know. But anyways, thank you so much for joining me. I'm trying to wet my throat because it is going out like we always do. We're gonna end this in prayer. So Father God, in the name of Jesus, we appreciate

everything you do for us. Thank you so much for the food that we eat, the water we drink, the air that we breathe. Lord, thank you so much for giving us the Book of Exodus so we could find out, you know, the how you built the tabernacle, the amount of detail you put in the tabernacle, the amount of detail that you had, you know the priest have to go through to be able to be in the Holy of Holies and to be able to speak to you.

We also appreciate the fact that you came to Moses face to face, that is BEAUTIFU Full Lord, that you you came and you spoke to him. It says that you spoke to him as a friend, and I think that's amazing, and I think it's it's beautiful the priesthood, you know, so we know that we have Jesus, your son that died on the cross, as our high priest

in heaven. We appreciate everything you do for us, Lord, and and and giving us all this informations for us to understand the foundation that you you gave us before you brought Jesus, you know, so we just really appreciate everything you do for us and everybody that's listening, if you could assist them. And I pray for obedience for all the people that are listening, and I pray for obedience and myself so that when I'm representing you, Lord,

reading your word, then I am I am pure. You know, help me to be you know, holy, Help everybody that's listening to be holy and to be obedient because we want to, you know, to show love to you. We show love by following your commandments. And you know that we know that you love obedience and help us to take away these idols that are in our life. You know, these golden calfs that people are worshiping not even knowing it,

because the devil has normalized so many things. God, if you could please take away these idols that we worship not even knowing it, and assist us to use things like technology for good. Assist us to use technology for doing Christian podcasts and doing Bible studies and studying your word. And this technology can be used for good because you could look up the Greek, you could look up the Hebrew of these words, and we can find out that even deeper definitions of these words. So it assists us

to understand your word, which is so important. So help us with that. Lord. And I just want to let you know, Lord, I appreciate everything you do for us, and thank you for this Bible study. We love you in Jesus name. Amen. All right, guys, we appreciate you listening to this Bible study. Thank you Jonathan and Jacob for giving me this platform for me able for me to be even able to have this Bible study. I appreciate it. And everybody that's listening, like I always say, God,

bless you and we love you. Have a blessed
