On this brand new edition of Cubs On Tap, Rich and Ron are back on the mic discussing the Chicago Cubs' 9-0 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates in the series opener on Tuesday. The duo jumped right into all the storylines from the win.
From Shota Imanaga's injury scare, to the bats coming to life. There were a lot of positives from Tuesday's game. Seiya Suzuki, Carson Kelly, and Pete Crow-Armstrong all had 2-run home runs, and Dansby Swanson ended his cold streak with a solo blast. Factor in RBIs via singles for Kelly and Kyle Tucker and you have a complete 9-0 win.
In addition, the duo discussed Cade Horton's most recent performance, his future, and the state of the Cubs offense as the team starts humming into May.
Before closing out the show, the guys look ahead to the final two games of the series with the Pirates on Wednesday and Thursday.
