Does Crying Out Work If You Don't Do It?

Crying out, does it work if you don't do it? When things go down, and your house starts falling apart, we look for someone to blame. We often blame God or blame the teaching. But in Matthew 7, what does Jesus say is the real reason people's houses fall?

The Emotional Side of Crying Out

How much dignity are you willing to lose to get heaven's attention? It is easy to count what we might lose if we sold out to God, but it is only when we lose ourselves in crying out to God that we begin to see what God is truly trying to give us.

Crying Out When The Battle Chooses You

Before you rise - you must go down to your knees. Sometimes in life, the battle chooses you, or you receive a report you never would have expected. David and his mighty men had their women and children stolen from them. David's own men were ready to stone him, but David cried out to the Lord. Nothing can’t be changed when you cry out to God with everything in you.

Crying Out In How To Respond To A Storm

A storm is something that affects more than just you. This is your response to a storm. It is not being stoic, not being reserved, and not being in control; it is being so desperate that you let go of everything to get to God. It is a reset button. Our cry to God is our acknowledgment that only God can help. (Group discussion at the end)

Crying Out Is My Secret to Power in Prayer

(From a Zoom meeting in 2020) Is there a way to immediately get God's attention when you are in dire need? It is not passive praying. It will take you far from your comfort zone into the secret place between you and God alone.

How Is Your Receiver?

Is there a block in your receiver? God can be completely good and full of blessings but if we are not receiving from Him it won't do us any good. And worse yet, if we do not have a character of God worked out we will receive more of what the enemy is saying than what God is saying.

The Coming Of Pentecost Shavuot

Have you experienced the advantage Holy Spirit? We all as believers have been promised the Holy Spirit but has the promise become reality in your life? The Holy Spirit is the person that makes all the difference in our lives. Peter went from being so afraid he denied Jesus to a servant girl on the night of the crucifixion but after Pentecost, Peter was a changed man. He now had the boldness to call the city of Jerusalem to repentance.

Clogs In The Pipeline To Healing

Is there a clog in your pipeline to God? Some people say it's not always God's will to heal...but don't get into verbal religious garbage. God has answers to whatever we face, but the way to get healed might be a little different than what you are expecting. God has a way to get the clogs out of your pipeline.

Compulsive Voice of Disparaging Yourself

Every leader who has accomplished great things for the Lord has come under this attack. Many throughout history even believed God was the one putting it on them, but it is not true. Disparagement is a demonic attack, and one we must overcome.

Living Until The Assignment Is Done

While we wonder if God's promises will come to pass in our lives, God wonders if we will pull down the fullness of what He has promised for our generation and the next. God’s view is different. Even when we have won many battles, God is looking at the territories yet to be taken. Most of our promises from the Lord are unattained, unoccupied, and not enjoyed. Once we’ve won our battles and defeated our enemies, there will be peace in the land.

When You Get An Assignment Which Goes Against Your Nature

From the story of Deborah, Barak, and Yael. The battle you are in must be won in the heavens before it can be won on the earth. The problem we have today is that the heavens are warring but the men of earth, the believers, have refused to join the fight. The "humility" that leads to inaction is a sin. Just like with Yael, the battle has entered our tent. Will the men and women of God have the courage to fight? For when we fight it makes for peace in the land.

Living A No Fear Life

Have you ever had a single day in your life without fear? Can you picture your life without fear? God commands us not to fear. I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears. -Psalm 34:4 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. -Joshua 1:9. When God gives us a command to do something, He always gives us the power to accomplish it....

From The Shepherd's Field To The Assignments

What is your assignment? What is God sending you out to do? God gives every one of us assignments. Gideon was working to keep his people's food from the enemy, but then God called him a "mighty warrior," and told him to tear down his father's idols. At first, the assignments are broad and for every believer. But when you are faithful with the broad assignments, then God will trust you with specific assignments. Then He will send you on assignments that only you have the training to accomplish....

David's Shepherd Field: Preparation For The Assignment

Many are called but few are chosen. - Matthew 22:14. Could it be that many are called by God but few go through the training? Our training is in some way more important than the assignment because without the training we would fail in what the Lord is giving us to complete. It is what we learn on the shepherd's field that prepares us for the battlefield.

Revelation of Mercy

The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies cover all His works. —Psalm 145:9. Isn't it great to know that if it doesn't have mercy on it it's not from God? Mercy is the way God spares us and mercy is the way God exposes us. In God, mercy and truth are perfectly married to one another.

Blessed To Be A Blessing - September 2006

God told Abraham He was going to bless his life to make him a blessing. God will bless you in a way that you understand only to call you into a life you have no understanding of. Jesus took Peter, a fisherman, and gave him more fish than he could ever imagine and then called him into a life he would have never imagined.

Porous - Picking Up Your Environment

Spending time with God should cause you to think differently than everyone else. When we are porous to the environment around us we take in what everyone else is thinking but we have no power to change what people are thinking. So when we face problems God's thinking must be rooted deep in us or we will get the same results as everyone else.

Point of Contact

Many Christians believe that God has the power to heal but He's not always willing. But God would rather us doubt His ability to heal than His willingness. If the life of Jesus showed us anything, it is that Jesus healed every person that came to Him. If the disconnect is not on God's end what is the point of contact we could be missing?

Renounce, Renounce, Renouce

Demons leave when we speak the name of Jesus but you cannot rebuke something someone has willfully agreed with. Past agreements made apart from God must be renounced. If repenting shuts an open door, renouncing locks the door. When we have used our authority to make agreements with the enemy we must use our authority to break past agreements.

Faith For Delays

Is there a delay? Are you waiting for an answer from on High? What are you doing in the delay? Is your faith persistent or casual? Don't let your faith run low when the answer is taking longer than you expect. Most of all don't let delays change who you know God to be. In the delay something is being built deep in you.

Does He Test or Does He Not Test?

Does God test us? James 1:13 says, " Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God" for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone." But in John 6:5-6 Jesus says to Philip, " Where are we to buy bread so that these people may eat? But He was saying this only to test him, for He Himself knew what He intended to do." So does God test us? Or maybe the better question is how does God test us?

Reject Rejection

Do you need healing at the root of where you were rejected? King David did not lose the kingdom for adultery, but King Saul had the kingdom ripped from him for his need of approval. Rejection breeds rejection. Even though we feel rejected, it is our attitude, our need for approval, that is causing us to be rejected.

Do You Compare Yourself To Others?

How does comparison work for you? In Genesis 1:31, God said, "God looked upon all that He had made, and indeed, it was very good." Self-comparison is a trap. It doesn't matter if you come up with reasons you are better than others or are worse off than others; either way, it is a trap.
