Acts 6:8:-8:3
Stephen’s life gave evidence that he was a true follower of Jesus Christ.
“ . . . a man full of faith, and of the Holy Spirit.” Acts 6:5
“And Stephen, full of grace and power, was doing great wonders and signs among the people.” Acts 6:8
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8
Stephen was prepared when his faith in Christ was challenged.
The strength of your witness in difficult moments will only be as strong as the witness of your life in daily moments.
Stephen was willing to lay down his life for the sake of the gospel.
- Because the hope of the gospel is better than life itself. (Phil. 1:21)
- If you’re not living for the gospel today, what makes you believe you will die for the gospel tomorrow?
- The resolve of a witness is as deep as his/her view is of the hope and reward of the gospel.
