"Live In The Light"

Join us as we continue our series, "The Edge of Eternity." Pastor Rob brings us this next installment entitled, "Live In The Light".

Primary Scripture Verses - 1 Thessalonians, Chapter 5, Verses 1-11

In this passage the Apostle Paul is reminding the Thessalonians about the Day of Judgement, for the following purposes -

1) To Remind Them / Us of the Swiftness of God's Judgement.

We do not know the time but we are to live in constant anticipation of that glorious event. (John MacArthur)

2) To Exhort Them / Us to Live Faithfully

Christians should never be caught off guard by future events because they recognize that God is moving human history toward a final consummation.

3) To Encourage Them / Us to Remain Confident in God's Deliverance.

Paul reminds us that as Christians, we walk in the light and will "obtain salvation". Be encouraged and reminded that Jesus Christ died so that we would not experience the wrath of God. This is an idea that modern culture has tended to discard in their theology.
