“Enough”
Matthew 15:32-39
More Than Enough . . .
- Jesus desires to fill up what is lacking in you.
“And I am unwilling to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way . . . And they all ate and were satisfied.” Matthew 15: 32, 37
“The Lord is My Shepherd; I shall not want.” Psalm 23:1
“Oh, fear the LORD, you His saints, for those who fear Him have no lack! The young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.” Psalm 34:9-10
- Jesus takes what you give Him, and multiplies it exponentially. (v.33-36, 38)
“ . . . He took the seven loaves and the fish, and having given thanks He broke them and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds . . . Those who ate were four thousand men besides women and children.”
- Surrender to Jesus all you are, and all you have, and He will turn your “not enough” into more than enough.
- Jesus is the source of more than enough.
“And they took up seven baskets full of the broken pieces left over.” (v. 37)
“If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’” John 7:37-38
- Lay down your pursuit of “being enough,” and rest in Christ who is more than enough.
“Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
