Sorry Home 23 for 15% off your first purchase. Happy to bring on James James. I really started tracking all of your picks now and picked a bad week to start doing that. I got a I got a problem. I got to take some a call here
real quick. All right, well, now we do have James. I thought he was joke with me, but he actually had a real phone call he had to take. But now we have James. All right, James, man, I'm just starting to keep track of your your pics this week. And I picked a bad week because you did. You went 241234245 last week. Not good. Now that may have been the overall record, but if you go to my Twitter post, we're doing a lot better over there. This is not. No one's on Twitter.
Everyone's listening to the pod. Yeah, well, but I direct you there for certain pics and that is where you will get the ones that I'm actually putting my hard earned dollars on now because we now have a set time for our Thursday afternoon
podcast. I've been able to get in some solid parlays prior to going on the air so you won't have to follow me on X. And and so you can hear right here directly on the podcast and make some money shot at me because yes, our our timing has been has has been moved around because of me. It's going to get worse because next next couple weeks we have some vacations planned.
We'll get to that later. All right let's get to 1st off Nebraska's at Illinois. Oh man did Nebraska screw you last week saying they could get thinking they could cover 17 points. What are you thinking So Nebraska is a 3 1/2 point underdog going to Illinois. I'm not sure Illinois should be favored to anything but Illinois. 3 1/2 point favorite against Nebraska. Yeah, well, I can no longer take Nebraska to do anything. Thank you. So I've learned my lesson.
I've learned it. That was pathetic last week. And quite frankly, I was half tempted to put a little money on him, like plus 31, 1/2 or something, live in game. And I'm like, no, hold back, don't do it. And I'm glad I didn't. So I don't think Nebraska is very good now. 3 1/2 is an interesting number here. I think Illinois to win out, right? Definitely. But this 3 1/2 number concerns me a little. But I think Illinois should be able to handle like cover that also 43 is the over, under.
I like the under. I I think these are two pretty bad offenses but pretty bad defenses. Those are bad football teams. And so I just don't see a lot of great things happening in this football game. So that's kind of where I'm leaning at. I don't plan on watching it. I don't plan on betting on it. So that's that's where you. I might toss Illinois money line on a parlay somewhere. Yeah, you could do that. All right. Next up we have I by the way I
want a parlay this weekend. Last weekend too. I did one of those stupid like a bunch of favorite college football parlays and I won. I'll pull it up here in a SEC. All right. Next up we have Maryland. I mean from what I saw, one of the five best teams in the country. Against Indiana. We have Maryland against Ohio State. Ohio State is a 20 point favorite. I I'm I'm very curious what your take is on this one. I'm very curious why this line is so high now.
Historically, Ohio State has beat the barn doors off of Maryland. If you look at the history of their matchups, it's pretty onesided. However, this Maryland team is really good. I am undefeated betting Maryland games this year and we of course last week our big bet of the week was to take Maryland to cover against the Hoosiers, which they handily did. And they looked better than Ohio State, quite frankly. And I think in the second-half, Maryland just stopped calling
plays too. They could have won that game 63 to nothing if they, I mean, I think if they really wanted to, they probably could have. So I think 20 points is way too much. So I'm going to take Maryland plus 20. I really like it. I I completely agree. I I'm not sure Ohio State can. I mean, Maryland's going to score 14 or 21 no matter what. I'm not sure Ohio State can score another, beat them by 20. I mean, I know that's how points work, but it's like Ohio State's
offense. I'm just not sure they have enough to get it done. Like it's a huge number against. It's not like they're going to hold Maryland to 0, so it's not going to be 21, zero. So I'm I'm, I'm kind of shocked at that number. And it could be end up leading a low scoring game because Ohio State's offense, our defense isn't bad either, so I don't know. They're over under 57 on that. I'm going to stay away from them. But I do like Maryland plus 20
points. We're not going to talk about I U. They're not playing this week, so they're not going to come up on Crimson Cash. But this is our moment as an I U, you know, you're you're an I U grad. I always give you time to talk about I U. It's kind of the the ending, the ending of our week on Crimson Cast talking about I U. Any final thoughts about that debacle in Maryland?
Well, after watching that game, there's one thing that really, really struck out to me as as far as an I U Football fan was. If there's one person on that team that needs to be promoted, it's the person in charge of quality control. Because that team was. It was just such a quality performance from Indiana on in every phase of the game that if they had a coach who was in charge of quality control or something similar to that, he should be promoted.
And by God, Tom Allen had the guts to do it. And that's why I want to tip my cap. That's great. I was wondering where you're going with that. Hey, Walt, Bell's gone, so all problems are solved. Like for all of you who want to
Walt was like great. Now I'm sure we're just going to open it up and become the, you know, the the the mid 2000s Pats. It doesn't matter who comes in as offensive coordinator, Okay, the ghost of Mike Leach could float into that locker room and Tom Allen's going to say we're a running football team, we need to play complimentary football, love each other and that's going to be it. And so I don't know how Cameron De Boer managed to get that many
passes into the air. I guess it must have been a Mike Pennix thing. But you know Tom Allen and he said it a million times. We want to play complimentary football. We want to be a run first team. I like running quarterbacks. I mean, when Dexter Williams comes back, do you think there's any chance that he's not starting and we're running a triple option again? Probably. But it's like then then we're going to have another quarterback controversy.
It's awesome because we talk lines on this, we'll we'll steal the Bill Simmons, you know pick the lines gimmick next week. What do you think the line for Indiana at Michigan is going to be like? It's. Let me ask you this, it's over 30. Do you think it gets over 35? In game, not not pregame. It will sometime live, first quarter, live bet, yeah. So you think you think pregame it's going to start at like 34?
30.5 is my guess dude. Yes, but I mean right now like Ohio State. Maryland is five and O just beat our doors off there. 20 points at Ohio State. Michigan is a 19 point Rd. favorite this week. We haven't got, I guess, minutes. Don't give away. Don't give away the lead. All right, let's go. Let's go to the next game. All right, so we have Rutgers at Wisconsin. Wisconsin, again. Like, I don't know if they're
good, but they're three and one. They're always just like 3 and one or four and one or four and two. All right, Rutgers, a 13 point underdog going into Madison. Yeah, this was 13 1/2. I actually took Rutgers at 13 1/2 earlier this week. I like Rutgers. Here, that's a lot of points. Maybe Wisconsin gets it going and they end up just boat racing them, but I don't see that happening to this Rutgers defense. And their offense is pluckier than it has been in years past.
So that's just two touchdowns. Seems like a lot. All right, so you guys, but this seems like a this seems like a perfect place to buy a pointer to. All right, so you got Rutgers, but you like 13 in 1/2. Yes, like the hook. All right, we have Howard at Northwestern. I got no line on this game. I don't know why anybody want to bet this game. So if you have a line, lay it out there. But I think this is a stay away. I do not have one. Yeah, it's by the way, Northwestern, what are you
doing? It's October 6th, like October 5th. Today it'll be October 7th. When you play it like, what are you doing? Like start playing big 10 games. What the heck are you? Doing all right, Purdue, who? You and I both like. We lost. You lost that one. But I say we lost it because I totally agreed. I liked Illinois in the money line on that one and it was looking pretty good until Illinois just stopped playing and Purdue decided to score 34 points unanswered.
But they're going into Iowa, who who looks like, I mean their quarterback went down. They still couldn't beat or barely beat Michigan State. That was getting way close to the wire, but Iowa is a 2 1/2 point favorite against Purdue. Yeah, you can get this at 2 some books. I love Iowa to cover this. I think Iowa wins. I Purdue is not going to score 34 unanswered points against this Iowa Hawkeye defense. I think this can be a low
scoring affair. But as you know, Crimson cash rules prohibit us from betting Iowa over Unders. So you've been barred from that. You're not allowed to talk about Iowa over UNDERS. I will abstain from Michigan. I like the under in this game, so but give me the Hawkeyes to cover it, that is. How's the how's the The Sun's offensive coordinator? Is he is he hitting his 24 point mark this season? No, no, no, no. He's, he's, but he's still better than Walt Bell.
So it's fair he's kept the job longer. All right. Last one, as you mentioned, Michigan 5 and O is playing at Minnesota every year. It feels like obviously they play Ohio State last. It feels like Michigan's like, wow, they haven't been like they never get tested. They just they they kind of walk through this. It seems like they have, you know, when they play Penn State will get there. But Michigan at Minnesota, they, as you mentioned, a 19 1/2 point
favorite on the road. Take Michigan to cover Harbaugh's back. First time in the year, right? Well, they covered last year. They covered. Last week in style, Harbaugh's back. He likes to cover. We're going to roll again with Michigan to cover here. You think so On the Road 20. Okay, Minnesota. I watched their game versus Law Tech last week because I had money on it. Don't be sorry I won that bet. But anyway, you picked it. But you picked him. You picked No, you lost it on
ours. You picked him to to cover 11 points. They didn't. No, I I Why? I put it in a teaser. You added 11 and. 1/2 You might have had to. Cover five points. So, so they covered the five for me. But so you're saying for the good stuff for yourself, like you keep the good teasers off of the side? That was on XI posted it. It was, you know, all the followers to Crimson Cash or no Crimson Cast 260. That's what it is. But if you if you search hashtag Crimson Cash, guess what?
A bunch of tweets are going to pop up. So where was I? Oh yeah, Minnesota. They can't run the football. This quarterback of theirs is no good. Otman Bell, still not playing the defense is not what it used to be. Michigan's going to run all over them. If you could take Minnesota or Indiana over the next five years to be your your alma mater, who would you take? Are we strictly looking at just football, just just football to enjoy? The next five years, yeah.
Well I don't like either of their prospects but I think Minnesota looks a lot better. All right. We have two adopted teams We we picked up Colorado and we picked up USC. That's the end of the Big 10 slate. Everybody small Big 10 slate. Colorado is a four. This is they're getting into
bizarre territory. It's like they they they should have lost a Colorado State. They get destroyed by Oregon then they keep it real close with with the USC hitting the over now they are going to Arizona State. They are a 4 1/2 point favorite at Arizona State. Four and one Sun Devils. Give me the Sun Devils to win outright. Whoa. I love it. That's. What I'm going to do? I'm taking the home dog here. They played UFC pretty tough. This is a a true Rd. game. Yeah. Give me the Sun Devils.
Why not? Wow. OK, not not feeling. I'm not going to let Dion hear this. He's going to be pissed. Yeah, he'll have the bulletin board material up. James on Crimson Cash didn't pick. No, no Gucci sunglasses for you, my friend. All right, Then we have Arizona at USCUSC. Is a 21 1/2 point favorite. 3 touchdowns seems like a lot, so I'm going to take Arizona, who have been surprisingly scrappy
this year, to cover. I think they lose by 21 but you'll have the hook how I'm showing here on the on the it's on the Action Network USC's ranked 9th like how is that possible? USC's been crushing everybody outside of Colorado like I guess no one above them is lost but it's just 9th. Seems I if you would ask me if I got the rank like sixth in the country or 5th which I guess isn't that far off but. I would have guessed 6th or 7th. Yeah, 9th. It seems unrankful dead more.
All right, before we go, what? What? What? What parlays do you have for the other folks out there? All right, so I have one where I bought some points. I got took Maryland plus 21 1/2 and parlayed it with Rutgers plus 17 1/2. That's it. Plus 168 odds. So it's a two way there. And then here's the three-way parlay teaser of the week. We take Maryland getting 26, Rutgers getting 19 and Iowa getting 3 1/2 at home. Tease all three of those together at plus 160.
Okay, I love it. I will probably end up doing some kind of weird favorite parlay and get smoked so. I love it. Yeah, gambling is. Fun do you Do you run, do you rush and put money like on your on you're like, oh, I've got Georgia. This isn't looking good. I'm going to go take Auburn plus some points or something like that. Or do you do any hedging? I don't really hedge much, do
you? I I kind of just, I lock it in, I try and pick a couple for the week and then for the weekend and then for the day and then I kind of just go. Unless you're actually watching the game, I would never do it. I think because that that the casinos want you to do that. They want you to rush and try and hedge your in game bets and and because they end up winning twice as much that way. So here here was my parlay. This was nine leg parlay I was
really happy with. I had a good week last week all it looks like, all money lines. I had Penn State, USC, Clemson, Texas, Maryland, Michigan, Georgia, Oregon and Oklahoma. That's fantastic. Yeah. And then I had Maryland to cover the 14 1/2 point spread. I put a good amount of money on that because, as you and I talked about, that was a really good line. Yeah, I had a A4 way that I hit that I posted to X of a money
line last week. That was Iowa, App State, Oklahoma and Air Force. It was only plus 101 odds, but I. Put a sizeable amount on it, but you know, you can get, you can cobble together a few of those and and you know, get yourself a decent, you know, little return sometimes. And I started just throwing
those together. It's like I I knew like I felt really confident with like, you know, Penn State obviously Michigan, Georgia or just like they're just that, you know, it ends up killing me at some point. But a lot of times you end up just hacking on a couple of those huge money lines. But it's like it changes, you know, from a, you know, -110 to like you know -100 and then plus 100, you just kind of inch your way, inch your way there and you get a couple of them and you're good.
You buy your yeah. You buy your juice back. Essentially, yeah. So all right man, good times. Well, we'll keep it going and then next week we will talk more about where that line finishes up between Indiana and Michigan. I I would take the over on 35. I think it's going to end up being like 36 or 37. You think pre kick we're going to have a 36 point line? I do. I'm at 30. I'm at 30, 1/2, so we'll, I I can't wait. To see who who came closer. We won't do prices, right? Rules.
So it's just. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, hold on. I got to pull that back. I got to pull up my sheet back up so I can keep track of this. But all right, so you have just awesome podcasting here. You have, what are you saying, 30.5? 30.5 All right And I have, I'm going to say, can I say over? No, you can't just say or you have my number on it. All right. I'm going to say I'm going to say 3630. Six, Okay. All right, So whoever's closer wins that bet. I love it. All right.
Good stuff. All right, James, as always, great time. I appreciate everybody for listening. And for James, this is Scott for Crimson Cash signing off.
