Last week we went six and five on the podcast pics, but I was down in Bloomington so I wasn't good about getting my pics posted to Twitter, which is probably fine because the ones I did that weren't on the podcast weren't that great. So. But our teaser parlay hit for yet another consecutive week, so we'll see if we can get another one. Yeah, and my parlay that I put together didn't win the Iowa, Ohio, Iowa, Iowa State over did not help me at all. No, but if you teased it, it
works. So, but yeah, that was horrible. We had to watch. Did not tease. All right, let's get to it. I have a shorter amount of time today, but let's go through the games we have University of Virginia Owen Two at Maryland. Maryland is a 14 1/2 point favorite. The Over under on this is 49 and I love the over here. I think the Over is a really
good play. Virginia can't really stop anybody if you saw their game against James Madison, which I caught the end of. It was pretty awful and they get so it was 71 points last week. Maryland seems to move the ball pretty well, so I'm going to take the over here, all right. In fact, that's one of my favorite bets of the week. OK, you you've not. I've not done well with you and your over unders this year, so I'm a little scared. Be scared. Be very scared.
All right, We got to go to it. This is a big game in a lot of ways. Louisville and Indiana at Lucas Oil, a neutral game, we'll call it. Probably going to be more Louisville fans in the house. Indiana is a 10 point underdog. You saw the fight and Hoosiers whip up on the sycamores. What are your thoughts on I U now and what are your thoughts on this line? Well last week we talked about did the Hoosiers have to win impressively. Did it matter?
You know they won impressively and I still don't know what the hell to think. So I mean Indiana State was just that bad but Memorial Stadium, really nice experience. I was in that section where in the South end zone there and. And it was really nice. We got the rooftop. The rooftop or like those new suits in the all right the. The rooftop. And it was really you big time. Well, I gave him half of me, so he's big time. But you know, you didn't get kicked out like you.
You you stayed the whole way. You weren't, like, booted out. You weren't kicked out like handcuffs. That's a good day. No, we did leave a little early because it was getting a little boring towards the end of the game, but you weren't booted like you were not asked to leave. That's that's a good, a good, good day for you. I know it was a it was a banner day for me, so but I know it's a nice ingame experience, but I'm
not sure how much I've learned. I did learn the Tavin Jackson, I guess, is now the starting quarterback, which he should have been all along, and I don't know why we had to do this song and dance against Ohio State. I learned they can throw the ball which. Is even more perplexing if they refuse to do so against Ohio State.
So it's hard to tell what's going to happen here against Louisville. I do know that Jeff Brom has had pretty good luck against Tom Allen, at least on the offensive side of the football, and Louisville seems to be a pretty good offensive football team. They have put up 56 points last week and 39 points the week before that. The overrunner in this game is 52. I love the over here but I think Louisville covers that 10th spot pretty easily. I would I would agree with you.
I I think it's for. I think we're going to see Louisville score a lot of points. The breakdown I would agree and I'm just not sure I'd be. I'd be nervous on that over under, just I'm not sure I you can score. I use going to do their part, yeah. And that that may be your wife. Stay away from it. But I do think that Louisville handily covers that line. All right, Next up we have Penn State going to Illinois. Illinois is a 14 1/2 point underdog. On the surface, this looks like
not a lot of point. I would say Penn State can cover 14 1/2. What do you think? I preferred at 13 1/2. I do like the total here at 48 1/2 because you get that under that 49. And Penn State's been putting up a boatload of points. Kansas put up a ton of points on Illinois last week. And Toledo put up a ton of points on Illinois. So you know, if you look at that, I mean Toledo put up 30, Kansas put up 34. I mean, you got to figure Penn State's probably going to put up 40, right?
So then Illinois has to do their bid and put up 10 I think Penn State covers and I like the over. I love some of these games where I'm trying to fit like GASO, like I'm looking at the logo. It's a Georgia Southern, at least I'm 99% sure. Georgia Southern at Wisconsin. Wisconsin is a 19 1/2. Point favorite? Yeah that seems like a big line, so I will take Georgia Southern in the points here. The over under on this is 64 1/2
which is a huge number. Now Georgia Southern is known to put up points and also give up a bunch of points. So that'll be interesting to see. That's a pretty high number I would be tempted to go under, but I like Georgia Southern plus all those points. Western Michigan at Iowa. Iowa is a my God, a 28 1/2 point favorite over under 43. So that's really juicy. But I'm I'm just like I'm taking three weeks off from Iowa over under. So I'm just I'm not allowed to bet those. Okay, But what?
Can we take over 4 touchdowns against Iowa? Yeah, absolutely. I I'm not sure I was capable of actually scoring 25 or more points as per this contract that Brian Ference has got himself into. I love it. He's not looking great. All right, so in order to cover this 28, 1/2, they have to score more than 28 points, and I'm not sure that's entirely possible. So give me the Broncos here, plus 4 touchdowns, plus I I agree. I I like that a lot. That's a that's almost a lot of the week.
Virginia Tech. My second favorite bet of the week. So you've got my third favorite bet and my second favorite bet. My favorite is yet to come. I think I know what it is, but we'll get there. Virginia Tech at Rutgers. Rutgers is a 7 point favorite. Yeah, I saw this at six and a half a full touchdown. I kind of like Virginia Tech there. 39 1/2 on the over under here. I think the under could
definitely be in play as well. Rutgers really likes to slop up a football game, so over a touchdown makes me wary, so give me a dog there. Speaking of over a touchdown, Minnesota at North Carolina. North Carolina is a 7 1/2 point favorite. So just over a touchdown. What you don't like? Yeah, I like to actually like the Gophers getting over a touchdown here. I also really like the over under. At 50, I think the Under is a good play.
Minnesota has been killing the unders lately, so to give me the Gophers and I'll take the under there. Northwestern is that Duke. Duke, an 18 1/2 point favorite after beating Clemson and now is 2. And oh. Yeah, Northwestern bounced back last week against a dreadful UTEP team. I think Duke probably covers here. I don't love it though, so I would stay away from it. The over under on this one's at 48 1/2. I also don't love that if it were 49 1/2 I'd probably slam
the under. So I I I'd say if you're going to bet this game, that's probably the way to go. But I wouldn't love it. Western Kentucky at Ohio State. Big lineman. Ohio State 28 and a half. Twenty sorry, 28 point favorite. No. Half. No, look. Yeah, and a 64 on the over under for this one, give me 4 touchdowns. I don't really want to bet it, but if you're going to give me 4 touchdowns, I'm going to take
them. And I do like the under here under 64. I know Western Kentucky tries to move the ball, but this Ohio State defense, you know, as much as the offense hasn't been great and they looked a lot better once they finally decided to start throwing to Marvin Harrison Junior. The defense has been pretty solid, so I think the under could be in play there. And what do you know, throw into your like all Heisman level wide
receiver helps. Washington with Michael Pennicks junior is going to, I guess the Mel Tuckerless Michigan State Spartans. It's a whole other conversation for a whole other podcast, but Michigan State is a 16 1/2 point underdog. Rarely. Rarely. And very rare occasions would I give up that many points at home, but this is one of those
occasions. Give me the Huskies and I'll lay up. Yeah, you you either got to assume this is like the Michigan State is just that they're going to be a hot mess, or it's one of those like we rally around, you know, we rally around. What's going on? Kind of like I you had that weird little spike after they fired Samson for like 3-3 weeks back in 2008. Very timely reference, I know, but I I tend to agree with you. I think. I think Washington will be able
to cover that. They have a pretty dynamic offense. Yeah, the over under here is a 57 1/2. The only reason I'm staying away from that I I like the under, but I'm worried Washington may put up 49 or 56 points, so I'm going to stay away from that. Northern Illinois is at Nebraska. Oh, Nebraska's virgin so much this year and they're going to continue doing it. They are a 10 1/2 point favorite. I want to hear you say you're going to. You like Nebraska to cover that.
Say it. God, I got it circled on my sheet. Yes, another week of you getting screwed by Nebraska. OK, Northern Illinois just got whooped by Southern Illinois. At least I'm assuming that's the SIU they were playing because I didn't recognize the damn logo. So So that doesn't bode well for them in Nebraska. They did hang with Colorado for a little bit I guess and and they're due and they're at home and I think this is this is their chance. So give me the Huskers and lay
the points. I hate to say it. That's going to be awesome when they don't win. Out. I know they went by like 9 or some shit. Bowling Green is at Michigan. Michigan is a get ready 40 1/2 point favorite. I'm calling it you are going to take Bowling Green to to get under that number. I'm going to yes. Take Bowling Green. That's got. To be your lock of the week. That is my lock of the week. 40 1/2 points is a stupid line. Has Michigan covered all this year? No, and they haven't even like
been particularly close. So this line is very confusing to me. So yeah, those are a ton of points. They were favorite. They were 38 point favorites last week and they won by 28. And they were 36 point favorites first week and won by 27. So they put up 30 and 35 points total each of the first two games. Now we're asking them to cover more than they. Put up in their first two games per game. So no, give me Bowling Green, State and all those points. I love this bat.
I agree. All right, last one. We have Syracuse at Purdue. Purdue is a 2 1/2 point underdog at Ross Aid where they have not won this year. Over under 58 1/2 here. Go over my friends. This one's going to be a shootout. Syracuse can put up points. They've done it this year. They did it. Remember that game last year? Purdue. Syracuse. I don't know if you remember that, but it was like the wackiest last five minutes of a game ever. But Syracuse has put up 65 and 48 already this year.
So. So you know. And Purdue has given up 39 to Fresno State. So I I see a lot of points here. I think who wins? Tough to say. I think Syracuse probably covers that though. All right, last up, we'll go to our USC bet. I'm. I'm so fired up for the USC versus Colorado game in two weeks, but USC this week, I'm scanning through to find their game. It'll be late. They're not. Are they playing this week? I could not find a line for them.
So they're either playing an FCS team and is not out yet or they're or they're not playing. There you go. Great research by sorry we are doing. This we're doing this Tuesday in the week we're kind of flying through. It's been a I have a busy week ahead and so James has been very gracious to to hop on early.
