Episode description

Indiana makes the second round of the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2016, knocking off Kent State and looking pretty good doing it. Scott and DoctorGC walk through the highlights of the game, discussing TJD's dominance, Race Thompson's best game, and the contributions of the supporting cast as they stymied the Golden Flashes defensively.

Then we welcome Zach Singer to the show to give a thorough evalaution of Purdue's shocking and hilarious loss to Fairleigh Dickinson, and try to put it in some sort of proper historical context.

Finally, we discuss IU's second round matchup with Miami, how the Hurricanes' profile compares to the Hoosiers, and what Indiana needs to do in order to pick up a victory and move on to the Sweet 16.

Transcript

You're listening to the back home network, presented by home field. Apparel, welcome back to Crimson Cask ale and klaviyo Scott, Caulfield Saturday the 18th. Second round day, one of the NCAA tournament. 15 one team from Indiana, still alive. So we're going to talk about that. We're going to talk about the

team. This is still alive, too because we, we have to, but we're going to start talking about Indiana, huge win in their opening round game as they knock off, Kent State. Last night in Albany, New York, 71 260 we're going to break down what happened in the game. Why Indiana was able to win? And, and what it tells us about moving forward, we're going to talk about Purdue And they're like epic historic gift that they've provided way, Indiana fans for the next 50 years, which I'll explain.

And then we're going to talk a little bit about IU, Miami, which is going to be the second to last game coming up on Sunday. That's a fascinating matchup. It's got a lot going on. First of all, Scott, great to see you. How you doing? How was their you guys do like a mead? You know, testing convention yesterday. Day before the game. Was there like a? Did you have like a full like open like meat on spit kind of thing going in the neighborhood? What was the goes?

The spread for the game. I think. Saving all that for the sweet 16. Ah, you're good. We yeah, we had a couple friends over. It was great, like, some of my best friends. My neighbors one went to Michigan State, who I talked about all the time. But his wife went to Purdue and she showed her face. She came hung out watched. Yeah, you gave. It was fantastic, had a couple other friends over. No, it was a pretty, pretty lame.

Pretty. We did have some cheese, have some Ritz have a really good like spicy apricot spread that they sell Kroger. And we'll say like, go for like the dry aged or the Aged white cheddar. It's really good. They have something like, it's fantastic to cut that up and I'm a big white cheddar guy, myself. Yes. Yeah. But now we're watching it, you know, is it was fantastic.

It's like, we went to my son's, my six-year-old basketball game watching part of the Purdue game and then being watching that on the way home coming home, seeing that it was Just a great night. Overall ready to talk about it? Yeah, it was, it was delightful.

Thanks to the fine folks at switchyard, for hosting us, for out of the miniature watch party for I, you last night, I'm sure a lot of the local businesses free because it's like wait the game starting when and and we have to stay open how long? But now the it was a fun time down at switchyard and we really enjoyed it. And thank you to smoke Works, where I got to watch the end of the, the Purdue After you game. So we'll talk about that in a little bit as well.

But now, Indiana of course, is what we normally talk about primarily here. So we're going to dive into that. First of all, just to remind her that we are part of the back home network brought to you by home-field apparel. I told you folks that the tournament is really when home-field apparels time to shine is and sure enough within seconds, well maybe minutes after Fairleigh Dickinson, defeats Purdue.

We get a tweet from Home field HQ that says we have signed a licensing agreement with Fairleigh Dickinson and I can't wait to see what they come up with. I'm going to buy it sight. Unseen, this will join the st. Peter strutted Destiny shirt in my all-time favorite t-shirts, collection Scott. I'm Juiced it to see what they, what they come out with on this. Well, the, I think they also had a tweet first, like, right after the game.

It was like, like, hey fdu like we're here, we're home field. It's like an excited deal. I mean, it's Really only, you know Connor and the team have done fantastic. I'm with you, I will buy whatever they say. I don't care if it even fits or not like I will buy whatever

size, whatever. Sure if they ever Fairleigh Dickinson, I've already bought a flag that I will be flying on my flagpole hopefully, for the sweet 16 under the IU flag but now the only tactical mistake Connor is made is he should just be signing these deals with the low-level seeds, right? Where they played Purdue like just be prepared your point betting on the money line. Like, I'm just gonna go ahead and get stock order. Oh my, you know Dan.

Oh they can send stuff now because I know they're going to be producing you. She should have had both them and Southeast Missouri State already signed to a deal because there was absolutely a nonzero chance that one of those two teams was going to knock for do off, but no go, it's unreal, it's great. Like yeah, I'm going to be a great sale like that's the best mystery box ever.

But again, it shows like they're in March, there's nothing that home field apparel, doesn't touch, It's amazing. And if you would like to try, And them out for the first time use the code home. Get 15% off your first order again home field apparel.com go to home field apparel on Twitter, go to home field apparel and Instagram. See what they got cooking up. I think you're gonna like, what you see. All right, Scott, I you the big

news of the evening. They knock off Kent State in a game that again, I was shocked that they played because the pundits at all, decided that Kent State was going to win. And I gotta tell you, I feel I'm actually concerned I've thought about Out, perhaps calling the hotels in the Albany area.

Seeing if we need to send a care package or an emotional support like golden retriever to Spiro, d-des and Deb Antonelli who were on the broadcast because they have to be so crushed today that can State never actually made it a basketball game. I think they mentioned it. Like every minute there was why I think Indiana at one point was up like 12 or 14 and Kent State, hit a 3 and D. This is like you feel a shift in momentum coming and it's like No, you don't, the still shifted

from, they hit a shot. That's that's part of the game of basketball. What are you talking about? But now, this was a game Scott that a lot of people outside of the Indiana circles and even some people in Indiana circles thought, was going to be a real Challenge.

And I think what struck me the most about this game was a Indiana really never left it to chance like they, you know that Kent State at one point, got it. To within what 2623 in the first half and then again 2927 and then but like right at the end of the half and then also from about the 14-minute mark of the first half, until about the 10 minute, Mark of the first half.

We're two spots where Indiana just kind of put their foot on the gas primarily on defense and used that to Spur transition offense. They were aggressive, you know, they weren't afraid in most cases to take shots. And they managed to look incredibly comfortable in that style and Kent State. Just struggled to hit anything.

They ended up with one starter who was a plus in terms of offensive efficiency can State shot 31 percent from Two and thirty three percent from three in the game and Indiana, you know, did what they normally do this shot 50% from from to, they hit some threes and I think most impressively for an IU team that supposedly was gonna get all bothered in terms of guard play. They ended up with only seven turnovers in the game.

Only 11% of possessions which is one of the best marks they had all year, just a masterful performance and a masterful coaching job by Mike Woodson to get his guys ready. What were your overall thoughts on the game? Yeah, I mean it's definitely recency bias and I don't want to go through the schedule on this but it's like this. This felt like this was the best performance.

This team has put together all year and I know, I know the opponent isn't quite there but, you know, they and they've had some good women, you know, you know after look back like that, you know, Road win at Purdue, like maybe that's a quad to win. Now I'm not sure if I can watch while they're killing our net, but hey, that wasn't, that wasn't, that was fairly Dickinson's. First quad one win yesterday, man, come on. Hey, Go ahead. Go ahead, please, up the seed line.

But no, I mean, I know it's like not a Road, Big Ten game, but we looked all put together, we were focused the entire time. And yeah, there was moments that can State hit shots and that that happens. But everyone looked locked in. You, you also as us with my friends, you had this sense. It was very much like the shark from Jaws.

Like Trace had a really good first half but you can just kind of tell like he's he's letting everyone else get involved and My buddy was like, dude he's gonna have a like he's just gonna kill it. The second half, he's gonna take this game over but and he did and he had like just a traces you started seeing this happen, more the end of this year where he has these games were kind of list the first half like a point guard lets everyone else get involved and then it's like

right now I'm just going to completely take control. They had, you know, he was doubled. We were running, we're pushing the ball, as you meant like, Miller cops shooting with confidence. It was a great just an absolutely awesome performance. The only thing that you Maybe be a little bit concerned about was, you know, Kent State missed some pretty open shots that were open. I mean, like something they missed a good number of shots that were open.

I'm not here to. I'm not going to shit on this way. I'm just like that's the only thing to be slightly concerned about but you know, this is well this is kind of like what we've been talking about. Like can this team put it together? Keep it together and can State. As we talk about the preview, like they've always their calling card is making runs at the end. And as you said, we really left

them no options and never gave. Them, the opportunity to be in a spot where they could get it tight and make something wild happen. Like, we literally put the foot on the throat and just kept it there, the entire game. Yeah. I mean, you know, and I heard that mentioned as well about, you know, Kent State missed a lot of layups, but they were missing layups.

Because Trace Jackson Davis is Rim, protection, was really giving them fits and this was your right eye was talk about some threes, but go. Well, well this was the and then know, you're no 100%. But but this is also when we talked about Kent State, before we mentioned a couple of things, one was Don't shoot threes. Well, they came into the game,

shooting 33% from three guess what they shot in this game. 33 percent from three so they lived up to type and they it's just it that I think Indiana. This is where from my perspective the coaching and the effort levels were so important and so critical to the outcome of the game because I you clearly had done a good scout and they realized that this was not a team that was going to hurt them that much from outside

and can't stay. Eight to their credit new their limitations, and kept trying to drive the basketball. But again, you know, you're not in Ohio anymore, you know, playing against Mac level competition, you've got Trace Jackson, Davis who ends up in this game with five blocks and probably could have had a couple more, like he was just inches away from a couple more just completely altered. Some of these smaller guards approaches to the basket, real,

how good he is at that. And like, and to the point, I'm as most I, he fans like the guy starts driving the basket. I got Tracy, got him and even when he's out of position he gets in position and it's he does it with that without fouling. He's not even close to fouling. He's blocking high low, its it is such an asset to have and he is all over the place and you're right.

That's why they're missing those layups because even when he's you know, he can obviously block from the weak side which is the easier way to block, but he's also great at blocking when he he's the defender. It is, it is Stam a Zing, what that provides and then I'll just leave that into you mentioned the effort like the and this is always just kind of what frustrates, you know, us is. Like, just, I want to see that effort all the time, but you saw it just all over the place.

Like well, Thompson was was growing crate. Like he was everywhere and like sitting with my my friends, you know, my friend wife from Purdue and she's just like, I want that like why couldn't we just like every five minutes you see? Why can't we do that? Where's that? Look at the effort, like, Miller cops diving for a ball. It's like, but you see it? And then one of the players race Thompson had like, I think three offensive rebounds. Yes. Didn't get the score like he,

you know. But he, I think Jackson Davis ended up getting a score that play. He has like three offensive rebounding. One reason, Tippett it twice in the court. He, he is showing it, and it's so cool. Like his comments afterwards. Being like, I just I'm giving it my all and I'm not ending in here like and you can see it was it was that was also, what was so invigorating? Is this team looks like they've clicked and maybe figure it out.

What they need to do to continue to move through the tournament? Yeah, I mean it's what was fascinating about the way this game played out from my perspective, we talked about the need to get contributions from the role players. Both the other role players in the starting lineup and the players Off the Bench. And, you know, again, we didn't get a great game out of jail Hood your fee. No, I mean eight points. Three, assists, two turnovers for boards. It wasn't a bad game by any

means. But the foul trouble early meant that tree Galloway had to play a lot of minutes at point guard. Now I don't know that Tre would have been able to play as well against a team with more like physically imposing you know guards but in this game it was perfect and even though he didn't contribute much in terms of score line four assists only one turnover and really steady the ship down the stretch in that first half race Thompson, as you mentioned.

Stepped up immediately. And at one point had outscored the entire Kent State team early on and then just kind of went quiet for a while. You're like, oh, we've seen this before, but then came back with a vengeance in the second, half ends up with 20 points. And nine rebounds, I mean, for a guy that we've seen really have some big ups and downs over the course of the last month and a half coming off the injury.

That was impressive, Malik renew came in gave some good minutes even tomorrow, Bates, who frankly didn't, he didn't score his shots. Over 6. But he didn't know the shots were bad like three of the shots were down and came back up again and it's like well what do you do about that? But I thought Bates gave some

pretty good minutes. Had a couple of small mistakes but overall you like what you saw there and then you mentioned cop like cop missed an early three and that normally shuts him down a little bit and instead he kept at it knocks down three threes on the game and really when he provided some who's taking a couple. Yeah. Who the shots were like well-contested, which It's like he normally that's normally the spotlight.

Cop was in the corners of guy that he normally pump fakes and drives in like he just pump fake to the shot. Yeah, that's that's fantastic. It's the headbands. It's a headband on 100%. Yeah. So, you know, this, this game for Indiana was a particularly good. One on a number of levels, we mentioned the turnover rate, they end up holding Kent State to 37 percent effective field goal percentage that is the second best defensive performance in terms of opponent

field. Percentage that they've had all season, the only one that was better was only four tenths of a point. Better is the game at home against Wisconsin, where Wisconsin just completely forgot

how to shoot the basketball. And it was a game where Indiana I mean, they weren't overwhelmingly great offensively, but they did enough on each possession and it's interesting as fast as Indiana look like they were playing, you know, they would grab rebounds, or they make a defensive stop and they run down the floor and you're like, okay, fast break

but they really stopped. The fast-breaking after about the 10 minute Mark of the first half and then instead they would stop, they get into their half-court offense and they'd work essentially almost the whole shot clock down and then get a good shot and that ended up making this one of the slower games that Indiana has played on the season.

The only 64 possessions in this game and it was played in a way that made it almost like, you know, as much as Kent State wanted to hurry up Indiana and as much as they'd like to Try to hurry up opponents. They they really did a great job. Indiana did of adapting to the moment and putting themselves in a position where they were dictating everything and that ultimately, you could see the frustration in the Kent State players faces as the game wore on and they just never got that run.

You know, Mike, Woodson had a great time out at one point when Indiana was still up by eight. He's like no we're just going to we need to reset and and it seemed like every time that Indiana needed to get a handle and put a leash on the game. They were able to do. Uso.

And again, I'm not surprised because I realize just really didn't think that Kent State was quite as good as the pundits were giving them credit, but, you know, we, as much as we heard about how you know, Kent State went and and did amazing things at Gonzaga or at Houston or whatever. At the end of the day, they didn't look nearly as good in this game as they looked in those other games. And it was largely because Indiana just didn't seem to be

that molested by what? State was trying to do defensively. And again, this this kind of goes away once we get to Miami, but you definitely had that you could see it in the way. Kent State was reacting. That, you know, I talked about this before, like the idea that they just had never seen somebody like, Trace Jackson Davis, like, you can see, like, when he was posting up, it's like I need this other guy that guy's fast, not then.

I thought they saw Drew Timmy. They saw Drew Jimmy earlier in the year, but it was a different here. Clearly, because Tim, he's just not the same type of rim, protector, that Trace Jackson Davis has grown into. So anyway, That's kind of the overview of that game. We're going to come back and talk about the Kent or the the Miami game a little bit later. Well actually we're we're going to jump to another segment I guess final thought on this Kent

State game real quick. Scott is if you think about the way that Indiana wins this, it's it really felt like it was the best case scenario, given an unfortunate set of circumstances in that Indiana's game started so late. That it was you know, essentially it was almost too late to it was it was comical like a scale.

This game is gonna get over at 12:45 or whatever it was, which is what it did and yet they didn't have to play anybody over 36 minutes, Miller cop, I think, for the first time, all season led the team in minutes put your fee. No only played 32. Trace Jackson Davis, got five minutes off. That rest is going to be critical as they take on Miami, which we're going to talk about a little later on in the podcast. But first we wanted to take a little intermission.

And we're going to bring our friend Zack singer from the bracket racket in Zach. First of all, good morning and congratulations on UConn's victory over Rick Pitino. We were all told that Pitino was going to win that game by 30. So much like our game. I'm actually surprised. They even had it in the first place, you know. Yeah. No. And the shocking development, much like Kent State turns out the coaches. Don't actually get to play in

the basketball game. The basketball players do and Rick hasn't got the guys, he'll have the guys at st. John's or Providence or Georgetown for all? Three, who knows? But yeah, no, we're very similar fan base, is not just dumb friends with you, and with what's in Scotts. Great. But like true fan, bases of powerful basketball programs. That needed a win yesterday. More than oxygen. Yes. And unbeknownst to you. You were also given a gift from God.

Indiana, kids being born marriage, Purdue eating shit like that. I I was thrilled with Yukons performance in the second half, especially Adama was great, and of course, our programs are in the same damn godforsaken Northeast stereotypical useless building, but but yeah, no, I'm thrilled. We get to play st. Mary's, we played them once randomly in a by game and it was seven so that we get to play them again. Yeah, but yeah, I'm excited for it but we sent excited as the

reason I'm here. We got it, boy, howdy. We we talked week I I called Zach after the, I you win largely so we could talk about the Purdue loss because this is Zach what I told you. And what I was telling, Scott before we got started this is I actually think that we haven't seen an explanation about how historically bad this loss is like everybody was like oh second time of 16 seeds ever beaten. The one that's true but not all

16 seeds are created equal. And I think that I mean, when you go back and you look at Virginia losing to to UMBC back in, what was it 2018? You know, that was a Virginia team that was 31 and to, they play a UMBC team. That's from the America East conference, which is a decent conference. It's certainly better but it's not well, no, no. By orders of magnitude though it's better than the Northeast conference and it's important to

know. Note, when you talk about UMBC, you are talking about the American East champions. This is not the Northeast conference champion of the regular season or the postseason. This is a legally designated representative. This is putting someone with power of attorney, as Chief Justice of the United States, Supreme Court that's basically what happened. So this is I'm on here. Specifically folks were, why do you bring quite crazy that Khan as a sicko? I want a lot of NEC basketball,

folks. I'm not proud of it. We all make choices in life. I want a lot of America East. I watch a lot of any see this team doing this to Purdue is easily the funniest thing that's ever happened in the history of Western Civilization. Well, let's rattle off and of society, let's let we need to Rattle off some facts and figures because there's really there's two gifts that have been given in this one is the state. Des of Fairleigh Dickinson. So let me just rattle this list of facts off.

So this is a fairly Dickinson team that was ranked above 300 in can pom for the entire year. Was as you mentioned, neither the regular season nor the tournament champion of the NEC which was the worst Ken pom conference in the country. This year was a team that went for and 22 last season hired a division to coach to come in and Coach this Year, they were 350 ninth in defense and Ken pom. Coming into this game. There tallest player is 10 full inches shorter than Zack ET.

The the alleged National player of the year, the the team's average height is 6 foot 1 which is what 15 inches shorter than the alleged National Player of the Year. Zack, ET. And the only reason they're in at all was because the two teams that finished Ahead of them in the conference were ineligible for the tournament because they were transitioning from division to, to division one, and there's a five year, probationary period.

So you're talking about a team that is a solid hundred and fifty spots lower in Ken pom, then UMBC was when they beat Virginia and Virginia. People forget had had a major injury issue, so they weren't at 100% going into that game to begin with. We're as Purdue as far as. No, only had the injury of the entire weight of produced

history hanging over them. So, I mean, Zach, you watch a lot of basketball, you know, the statistics inside and that, go ahead Scott. Yes, it's nice want to chime in. I have a couple more stats that I've about this as well. That just are insane. You can go to and zeros. That's two is the number of Conference titles.

That Purdue is one this year and zeros and member of the Fairleigh Dickinson is 19 minutes and 20 Five seconds, that's how long said, Zach ET, the tallest guy on the court, went without scoring at the end of the game. Nine minute or taking a field goal, 23 and a half is the largest Point favorite ever to lose in the NCAA tournament to and 32, the Big Ten was a second rank conference in the country this year, according to the net and the Northeast was 30-second

dead. Last going to your Roger Sherman had this tweet but Galen going to your height thing can Palm has liked Teams ranked based on average. Height Purdue is the number one team in the country Fairleigh Dickinson is 363rd. They are literally last like it is. My wife was an English teacher, she hates us was like, this is literally a David versus Goliath story. Like this is tallest versus

smallest, two more. In the last three NCAA tournaments, Matt Painter has lost to a 13, a 15 and a 16. So yeah, some pretty Wild stats when you put all that into into account and we'll get to the individual play in a second. But Zack, like your what else capture, what do you take from all of this. So, I'm into like coaching and stuff. Tobin Anderson's been a great coach wherever he was, he played college basketball at Wesleyan Bill Belichick's alma mater in Middletown.

He coached it's eight, Thomas Aquinas, which is a it's called a college. It's basically the crap under one side of the, the Tappan Zee Bridge. And in that part of life, New York adjacent and he coached that forever, he brought four of his guys at Fairleigh Dickinson 354th in division. One experience Fairleigh Dickinson strength of non kind of check the schedule 334 on November 30th. They played a half mile away from me at Hartford on a court which has the logo for the for

the east coast in the division. Three Vincent Hartford is joining, they came and played here and lost I almost went. I didn't go and it's no hyperbole to say it is the greatest regret of my life. They came to Hartford lost to a program that is loud quitting on division, one lost to them. They were, they were three and six on that night. They lost this year to Queens who's barely in D1. They played Mercy, they Except Mary New Jersey which is gambling front. The Lost of them.

Well, okay, so happened. So this is impossible. I brought this up to you last night and and I actually think I stumped you and this sounds like hyperbole. But the reason we wanted to lay all these stats out, like this isn't just a huge upset, it's almost inconceivable. Like if you laid this down on paper in front of anybody that's been involved in sports and you said this is going to Happen. They would say, get out of my office. There's no way in hell Zach is this the worst loss in the

history of sports. I mean, Do Cameroon 1990. They had Roger Milla right against Argentina. This my man is rolling out. D 2 players against the national Player of the Year air quotes in their league Merrimack. Ineligible, yeah, win the conference title game in their league. Stonehill, been there. Five minutes gets the others that arouse key, is better than them. Also as an eligible they they claim the title game at Miramax, hockey arena which is Is functionally a refrigerator and

they lose by one. It doesn't matter because they won the semi-final against st. Francis Pennsylvania. And they knew that the winner of that game would get the bid because the Merrimack, they had like, 12 people in the Loretto Center, which is there Court, whose Wikipedia page is 95% about hosting toy conventions and presidential candidates for Jon Corzine. There is there isn't a picture of it on the Wikipedia page. We need to put one up. The building is made entirely of wood.

It's modeled after our up in Maine. So the Northeast conference, I love it, but like there the end of every conference move. Yeah, like they're the ones at the bottom. Pulling up from D2 like Stonehill doesn't really have us. Any Fairleigh Dickinson's S ID for men's basketball is a current undergraduate student that's that kids having the time of their life today, my God beat produce Semi comfortably. Like this is why the tournament straight but also like Matt

Painter really should be fired. Like really, really what can we write? And I want to get into the actual statistics of this. I want to go ahead. I want to answer the question you on that, like, I love, I love the idea of the worst loss in sports. Like, that's a great. It's a great thing to put on the mantle but no, I'm I'm doing a little, like, I wrote down my list, as you guys were talking, like, and the thing is, like, you could go to, like, and I could debunk all these.

If you go to like, you know, Tyson Buster, Douglas, It's like Tyson was still a champion. Like he had won some titles up to that. Bully Buster, Douglas head for title shots before that. Yeah. For yeah, I didn't want and Tyson had a belt. He had that NES game like he had a, he had a good run on his own.

You look at like the Buffalo Bills, they still made four Super Bowls. Like that's the trouble is like, you know, Buckner the 86 World Series, like that's still a team that made the World Series. Like the only one that does also come to mind. Like college ball is like, you know, Chaminade Virginia. But like, that's that's right, beginning of the season. Right? Well, that's the thing. If he's in, and Samson still

went to the NBA finals. Like this is like the problem is when I searched like the worst losses in sports history, all the teams are like in, you know? Well, they lost the Super Bowl, they lost the World Series if you still accomplish something. I mean, look, it's not a lot of first-round losses, like this, we had earlier this season. What we thought might have been the worst regular season loss in college basketball history, when Iowa lost at home to Eastern Illinois.

Illinois was 344th in Ken pom. They were they were worse than Fairleigh Dickinson was, but that was again, it was a regular season game that game happened for three days before Christmas. This was a tournament held. This was a tournament game, okay, I know that's, why was all this Fairleigh Dickinson stuff, like, we might even be having this pod if that game happened

in Mackay, on December 24th. Yeah, well, you like we do, but what's was like, that's if this happened in December but holy what is going on. This And in the tournament but that's what it's worth. Let's let's get something like Virginia had the why there's no tape of anything, right? Like it's an amazing upset but it's in Hawaii / lost at a neutral site in Big, Ten, territory and territory. That's right, two balls, and all of America.

The NEC representative of the last 25 years, like by writing them all I've seen Peter kiss. I have seen a lot of these teams that have come through and rolled through and Earl Potts. It fairly thick stick to the path Rashad whack at Mount. Saint Mary's, Jeremy Chappelle at Robert Morris like the best

program. They had thousand Horizon League. They had a team go three-peat and now isn't even the same school anymore hard and Long Island. Like there's not one Long Island. We had to We kind of got together and said, look, we can't have to st. Francis into Long Island, but we gotta figure this out. He said, if one Long Island now that's like, given up and is hiring Rod Strickland. I want just legalized, they don't have a deal with ESPN. Plus, they have any sea front

row? They are their own streaming platform. Okay, they are at the end of the abyss and their, their representative went to the first floor and it was the most obvious first Organics ever happened, Gail Talk about this for weeks ago, we're like any, any see team because we knew it couldn't be stolen or Merrimack, right? It's like Texas. Southern at 6:40 on Tuesday are actually given Wednesday game which is hilarious on Wednesday March 15th.

We know it and they went in there and they won comfortably but it was like that's nice. 33 12 beats 303. Yeah. Pain Palm what an upset. But, but surely surely even that painter can't possibly find a way with Well, good basketball player on his team to run zero plays for the one good basketball player in the last three minutes and instead run them to for really not good. All right. Well I just want to chime in

too. It's also funny when you look at the Indy star like there's just a picture that they have and they I love this. Just must be an IU gratitude this and well done. Like one of the pictures on top of the headlines is like just ET posting up. And it literally looks like one of those like Manute, you know, Muggsy Bogues with other Be a player type pictures. Like he's posting up this dude, from Fairleigh Dickinson. Whose head is, like, comfortably under his armpit and you're just

like, how did this guy? Not touch it for 9 minutes. Like, how did that team lose that game face on this one picture? We do need to talk about this and we've kind of talked about it. A bit with the Ed thing Edie have a I guess a quote unquote, good game, 21 points, 15 rebounds but again he was 10 inches taller than everybody else on the floor.

And produce shot. 26 threes in this game in a game where they had an 8 inch height advantage in almost every position is 26 degrees out and they did five of them. You don't have to keep doing it. My friend. I test Factor here like that's why I bought. Yeah, I thought watching Arizona with two Bella's failed to score a point in the final five minutes, I thought there's no shirt. That's the thing like they watch that happen. Yeah. And they said they must have thought.

Well, we can't let this happen with Zach ET, right? We can't go five minutes and not score a point, something to nine, nine and a half minutes, without a field goal attempt. That's like 25 percent of the game. He's not hard to find right? The moment I knew they were in trouble with his face. Yeah. Was it like the DN March Madness and wasn't hitting it? This wasn't um be no. I'm on the run against Virginia, hitting the shops and you really hate the 10 minutes to go.

You realize what? 10 minutes to go in the Virginia game? It was over because Virginia kit, Virginia hasn't amounted to 1500 runs. Since James Madison was a person and not a school, okay? So like they were done. Then this was a situation let's just give it to Becky I know. Well and what's Wild is just too Flesh out the statistical picture. What you're saying? This was a game where Fairleigh Dickinson scored under a point per possession, they shot 43.

Puss, they shot 43% from to they shot 30 percent from three. I mean, they hit 24. Total shots in this game. It's really Dickinson last hosted. A Northeast Conference Championship game in 2006. Yeah, they lost to Monmouth 4948. They are like Don't even like, this is the program that's as you said for 2014. They haven't like won the regular season and get unlucky at the conference tournament Fairleigh. Dickinson has been be, I would be loved to be fairly average last 50 years.

They just existed, you have it at Players, they've been good. They've been at fancy, save that money and nobody that Lee has any money and they were the third best team in the league. And they were, they were forced in. We played really well in the first for this is the way, I can't believe this is the NEC team that won a game. This reinforces why I shouldn't watch this league. I watch it. Robert Morris. So it would fairly think it's it.

As in the American Athletic Conference in two years, it's going to be great. No, it's great. It's great. Well, not good at basketball. Purdue need for like, I don't know where they even go. Where do you go from here? What's the point? It's it's going to I'm fascinated to see. Nothing will change. We talked about this and it is amazing. Like as much as painter. Everybody talks about how great of a coach painter is and and clearly he does some regular season things, right?

But this is essentially what you came to expect out of the gene Keady era at Purdue where they would have their best teams and they would lose and keep. Key moments. And that's what they've got again and you're looking at potentially a 50-year span of this with Purdue, he needs to be the head and he needs to be in order to have snacks head coach,

both parties. It says, actually they should have one last night and they're just going to keep doing this instead of, I don't know, maybe having a little introspection on against a 21 and 15 like a 21 and 15-yard. As you can see 15 losses on a non major Conference record. This time of year on the team still playing like this, is it like the eighth place Big 12 team. This is a bad nect, man. Was at what I kind of the funniest part. Florida, Atlantic. Close their doors. Yes,

that has happened. Hundreds cotton 353 and defense defense. They win championships but you do not need it to be produced. I'd like to note that will end on this produce adjusted offensive efficiency in last night's game. The regular offensive visually was bad enough but they're adjusted was 80 3.1? Like that's how bad the performance was. That's that is that's almost indescribably bad for a regular like run-of-the-mill bad team but for a one seed to turn in

that kind of an offense. Performance against this bad of a defensive team, based on all the evidence of the season is mind-blowing. It really is Galen. We do been Latin you drove in last night to be okay. Makes sense to produce towards the game score. I hadn't checked on Fairleigh Dickinson. It wasn't 96, I was kind of hoping it was like 75. Yeah, this is there, they had an idea. The torvik score. It's a 0 to 100 score.

For those who haven't been on torvik, which is basically, like how well did you play, and what did you do? Well, and you can have a good game score, but lose, you have a bad game. Swear win. This was produced worst score by like a couple of orders of magnitude from what their previous worst was her do. I'm sorry Fairleigh Dickinson, the juror has now played 36 games basically a quarter of their season. They have a game score less than 10.

Yes, they had a three against Saint Peter's to against Hartford, and I didn't know you could do this. They had a zero against Richmond and they are in the round of 32. It's the greatest dumbest sporting event on Earth, it's

amazing. I love it from the produced by the thing that I was thinking about was like I have a neighbor who's a Purdue grad, it's awful but like You know, they're sending stuttering kind of wondering where their, you know, it's like he was sending me these memes of like, you know, the projected standings and like, the current you'll protect his chance to be in the top and like currencies, like your produce the top and kind of this, like, you know, little

brother's big brother and like, how many times they've won? It's like, all right. Like you're getting big yourself. And then for this to happen, there is a feel of like, you know, hey man, you tried to years, the big boy table at Thanksgiving. Like, how about you? This is why you're the little brother, you can make all the fun you want, the bit, the Banners are dusty, and like some teams lose first, round games, it happens. But like, this is epically bad.

This is a 1, well liked and you no longer your 50 more years. You're off the big boy table. This is, this is what I'll end with and we'll get Zack out of here on this. As I said at the beginning, this is a gift that Purdue has given IU fans that will last 50 years. It will last two or three

generations. It's because if we will always look back and a we will be able to say Purdue lost is a one seed to a 16. We will also be able to say Purdue not only lost as a 1 2 is 16, they lost to the worst one of the worst 16 seeds in history ever ever. Ever not just not just like everywhere I go back and look at losing record, 16 teams that were better than this team. Yes, 100%. So the this is why we wanted to

die. I've into this if you think that it's being mean, we're just trying to give you the full breadth of exactly how bad this was. Because I really don't. I mean right at the end it was like well let's not make it about Purdue. Let's make it about Fairleigh Dickinson and it's like no we need to make it at least a little bit about Purdue because this is one of those historic losses that you just can't. As a program, get rid of you can't just say, oh we had a bad

day here. There's like no you cannot have a bad day and lose this game. Against this bad of a team they've got to pick up the entire campus and move it 10 miles Virginia won a title and people are still like but it's the year after they lost as a one. I mean like they can't shake that even with a title. Yeah and you wouldn't be see was really good.

America is team. Yeah. But I like when it happened I was like that's what I'm looking at. For me it's my I'm debating whether or not to use that Thursday night and my wife's out of town. Well yes I mean you would have seen the seeds of History Dylan. I don't think they do not serve Refreshments at Hartford soda.

You cannot I'm not even kidding, you can't buy Eminem's, I've never seen it. The entire pork was covered with a sticker over the Americas logo because they're going division, three and they comfortably beat the team that just not produ out because they thought they can shoot threes. There's that. Give it to the big guy. There's there's no better way to end this segment. Zach, thank you for joining us. Just tremendous tremendous theater. Thanks man, have a good one.

Fairleigh Dickinson price. Well, there you go Scott that hold on. I can't let it go quite yet. I just want to ask you from without Zach because just we're very focused on Purdue, he will not. This is this this would be a question, I'd ask me, we got off the pot, which is do it on. He, they're not going to fire painter but like, how do you recover from this? Because again, well, I go to the Virginia thing, like it's to me, it's always a two-year Saga. Like, that's the story of like

man. They came back and won a title. But like I said, they want an effing title and yet, I still think like Those it's connected with the one seed loss, like, it's like winning a title. Doesn't get rid of this stain. Like that is literally how bad this is. Look at the end of it all. I think the problem is, first of all painter is, he's a great dude.

From what everybody said, and he clearly is able to construct something that works during the regular season taking advantage of the way, the Big Ten referees its games. And unfortunately, I think You know what gives her do a leg up in the Big Ten just disappears in the tournament and there was a good article, I think it was Dan Walken was writing about this and it's like, okay, you've tried this formula multiple

times. Now, you know, whether it was with Edie now, two years in a row, you know, going back, you can look at some of the teams that they've had before. Like, you know, everybody talks about Purdue being like, big man, you or whatever, you know. You you just it's not working in the tournament because it's too easy.

It's kind of like when the Pacers went all in on the idea that hey, we can win a title with Roy Hibbert as a focal point of our offense and it's like sorry guys that era ended 15 years ago and you can get to a certain point if your Purdue and that painter, you can win a Big Ten title, especially if you've got the 13th easiest schedule in the conference that certainly helps. But but you're almost certain now to go to the tournament and find yourself in a position

where you're going to struggle. I mean, you know, the best team this was brought up by a friend of mine who covers Purdue, they know the best of their team's was the one that had Matt harms and he was not like the primary focal point of the offense. It wasn't it wasn't the same kind of system, you know, if your painter and Purdue first of all.

You know, Purdue this is essentially, it kind of resets the whole perspective on Purdue's program again because this again and I the reason why we're harping on this a little bit is it? This is a it's like a it's a reputation Ali changing loss in the worst possible way because it's just always going to be there, it can, it will affect. I'm actually I'm hoping that we can get home field to surreptitiously. Just make a bunch of shirts with the number 16 on them that we can wear.

And that font that is right in the Purdue fought just. Just just, just have those out there. No other contexts nothing, you know, if your painter now you have essentially to say, alright what do I, how do I fix the approach here? Because he's going to keep pulling in these big man recruits because that's the mo, but this is no longer, the type of game college basketball,

where you can win like that. And I think ultimately nothing changes up there in terms of like, they're not going to fire paint. A painter's not going to go anywhere else but until he kind of rounds the bend and decides, you know what, we're going to try to roll with a more modern approach to things where this isn't our focal point. We're going to be the same kind of team where it's like what we're winning in the regular season. We're not winning in the tournament.

You cannot go through a whole season Mega slow and focusing entirely on offensive rebounding because if you get in a game like this and it doesn't work, you have no other recourse. And unless you've I've got to like athletic guards that can draw Defenders away, which they didn't have this year. You're going to be in significant trouble and the same thing happened last year. It's not like this is a new

thing. Well, they the problem is your they had that they had Jade IV last child and they couldn't use it correctly. It's like they have the same thing and they have the same problem at least, at least they beat Yale last year in the first round, you know. Yeah, but it's but it's but it's like it's just so wonderful that like, it all plays into the narrative like the narrative is, you know. Yeah, they've had better

regular-season. Success, our banners are dusty fine, but like the narrative always is but like in the end Purdue can't get it done when it matters and we can and that that Drives them nuts and it's never more evident than this and yeah it's not just going to live on like it is you know next year or two years from now they're doing great and like they're number one in the country it's like yeah who cares if you're gonna screw it up like we're still pissed about losing that year to

Syracuse. That was the 360 right? Like I mean and that sucked and we're not happy about it that was still a sweet 16 now this will stay forever and eat you know painter will have to win a title and maybe even two to clear his name. This is because the thing is, I mean, let's talk because let's just you already had just make a final four. I mean, that's I mean, like walk before you run on that but but you're right. I mean that's that's the thing and what - we promise he already

had the history of this. Like it was already like the ater was there like the fuel. He said he had great teams, can't make the final four and then you lay this on top of it is it's man like I mean you do Wonder like is this going to hurt recruiting? Like, I just how how do Do you know what I love everything about and I will wrap with this.

It was just so nice to then. See in contrast our team that night playing with passion, playing with effort, it is having a very professional Workman like experience and just kind of showing the Stark difference in this year. Like yeah, we got it done and we got it done like professionals. You guys were screwing around with it, trying to be a kid at

the adults table. I mean, and we'll let it Alone for now, we didn't talk this much about Purdue losing the Saint Peter's last time because I mean and I thought that was pretty epic and that was pretty funny but you know, Saint Peter's had beaten Kentucky so on and so forth. I mean, this is this is just a level of historic loss that you have to stop. You have to take 25 30 minutes

and talk through. So it's gonna be fascinating to watch the further fall out and reaction as we move forward. Anyway, let's jump over to talking about teams that are playing on this team. We're playing on Sunday, Miami of Florida, they beat drainable the gala for the Galen. The Galen Invitational, Miami was a popular upset pick and almost became the upset. They played really badly. Most of the game Drake was up, 55 247, with under five minutes

to play in this game. And Miami went on a 16 to one. Run down the stretch Drake, went ice cold. Old and Miami ends up winning the game. 63 256. Fortunately, for IU fans, they wrapped it up relatively quickly. It allowed our game to tip before 11:00, which I appreciate. So we can talk about that game. A little bit in that Miami had by their standards and atrocious game offensively.

They scored point 91 points per possession, this is a Miami team, whose entire stock in trade is playing some of the best offensive basketball in the country. They They have been excellent All Season. They're a good to point shooting team, they're a good three-point shooting team. They've got a really good set of guards, you know, which you might have heard of that.

They've got Isaiah Wong, they've got Nigel pack, who almost ironically almost transferred to Purdue, but instead transferred to Miami Florida in the offseason came from Kansas State and then they, you know, they're an interesting team. Like they're not very big, they're actually kind of similar to Kent State in that regard and that they don't have anybody over 69. And Drake to their credit. Really gummed up what Miami was trying to do, overall, Miami ended up shooting 33% from three.

Twenty nine percent from two, which is hard to do. Miami, largely survived on free, throw shooting but you know, overall, just not really a good game. And frankly, I'm actually kind of surprised after Drake was leading by eight with so little time left that they figured out a way back into it and came back. You know Scott we talked About this matchup is a possibility.

It's a real interesting contrast in Styles, obviously, I think if Indiana plays the way that Indiana played on Friday and Miami plays the way that Miami played on Friday. Indiana should be the favorite and would should win the game. You can't really count on that in March because you can go from really playing bad to really play in good over the course of

48 hours. But overall when I look at this Miami team, I'm thinking to myself I you can win this game even if Miami plays significantly better if they play with the same level of defensive intensity that they brought to the game against Kent State, what are your initial thoughts on this matchup? Yeah, I mean what's concerning is kind of the offense that Miami can offer their not a great, three-point shooting team.

They're also not bad. And what's concerning is the interplay you've talked about this year is that if Miami gets hot on offense and our defense, it doesn't keep that intensity it bleeds into our offense than a normally they kind of stagnate together. And then that's a very bad recipe. That that's what I worry about with a team. Like Miami that has that ability to score but I mean, you know, Not great. Analysis are like we are now past the point every team is

good. Kent State has some holes. Like we're now into the point where every team is going to be good and pose problems and I think it comes down to more anything else. Like I've been saying for a couple weeks now like if this team plays with a kind of intensity and focus of played with last night, they will be able to compete with any team left in this tournament. I truly believe that like, yeah, it's really up to them and if they play it that way, yeah other teams are going to throw

some rent. Here and there and do things we can't do. But we looked we looked very good. Last night was a unbeatable. We looked like we can compete with anybody in the country. What I also like is that you play another team, that is not huge. So I mean you have like their tallest guy is, you know, Miller and omere or both 67.

That's that's the tall I guess. Anthony Walker is 69, he plays very little you know, your Trace is going to have another an ability to kind of control the lane like he did again. If there are some interesting aspects to this matchup but I think a fascinating one of the things that people criticize Indiana about is there a really good 3-point shooting team and

they don't take nearly enough. Threes Indiana is 355th in the country at three-point rate basically which is basically where you take your three point attempts you divide them by your overall field. Goal attempts 355th in the country 26.2% is that rate. Miami is not that much more oriented towards the three there 268th in the Which is still pretty low. So, you know, these two teams really do kind of mirror each other in some ways Miami's

better offensively by a bit. I mean, I use the 24th best offense in the country in terms of efficiency, Miami's 12, the difference is Indiana is a top 50 defensive team and Miami is ranked 112th. This is not a Miami team that you go in and you expect to do a huge amount in terms of Defending, and Where I get excited about. This is also that you know, the other, the big Achilles heel for Indiana has been there. I don't have a deep bench, you

know. Indiana over the course of the Season, you look at bench minutes that because they have such a tight rotation of about seven players that they've been at their 220th in the country in bench minutes about twenty, nine point four percent of total minutes played by the bench. Miami is 322nd in the country and bench minutes, twenty four percent of their minutes come off the bench. So this is an even more starter oriented team.

They just really aren't that deep, you know, look Indiana's had problems with really good, offensive teams, but they've had problems with really good, offensive teams, that shoot, threes a bunch, and that's not really what Miami does. And you know, you look across, they've got a lot of guys that

shoot pretty well. I mean, they've got long shoots 38% pack shoots 40% Poplar. Shoots 41%, Joseph, shoots 38% 39 percent but the reality is, they're just not shooting that many as The overall flow of their offense dictates and so what I saw yesterday defensively out of, I use guards.

In particular, obviously put your fee, no Trey Galloway and Tamar Bates. I was pretty impressed with what they were able to do. Much higher caliber of athlete here and I think the coaching is going to be better. Jim larranaga is a really, really good. Coach gets the maximum out of this team, pretty much every year, but I think as long as Indiana isn't overly fatigued from this game, Mm. And if they can, essentially duplicate the effort and intensity levels that they

brought for this entire game. I think Indiana has to feel fairly good about this matchup and I think that, I mean, there are slight favorite there. Either a 1 or 2 point favorite on the the gambling books. Right now, that's probably about where I would have them. I think they have to be considered as a slight favorite overall. Yeah, I mean the only concern is that you're asking for things.

This team just doesn't have a history of doing this year of kind of putting together back-to-back, you know, really good games and having another 40 minute stretch. They seen locked in for the entire game is that they've been inconsistent in that? And that's that's the concern

but I will go to again. Something you've talked about like just the psyche of this team you know you always having the bracket break well for you is nice and like yeah probably rather be playing Drake tomorrow then Miami but you know, it's I think there is something to, you know, had they looked across and saw Drake on the uniform. Maybe they mentally let themselves. Let their guard down a little bit and Drake, it's into it. Like there really should be no

reason. You see Miami? Like, it's a team of notice the power 5 team. It's a Well cauchy McGee. Said, the athletes are going to be there like you they'll know very early on they're in for a fight and you do wonder if you know that, that helps keep that that lock in mentality for the game. Yeah. I think It comes out. If they play the way they did last night, they're going to, they're going to be Miami. That's just that is the case. It's going to be fascinating to watch all this play out.

You know, we talked about it on the impromptu live show. I did walking out of switch yard last night, but Indiana does get the second to last game late game. And I look, I'll tip as critical as I've been of CBS and of the NCAA for not, considering those things, you know, I can remember several times where I you was the late game in the night era. Yeah, and then played the 12:10 game on the weekend, which is

like, what are we doing? They get almost, they don't get a full 48 hours, but they're going to get essentially 43 hours and they only get 2 hours and 15 minutes to 15 to 30 less than Miami's going to get to rest. And they had a less fraught game than Miami did.

And I do think that those things add up, I also will say this, Miami team is, again, I think they are a team to be concerned about but Don't know that, they're necessarily A team that, you know, you would fear you look at what they did last year and they went to the elite eight, which was a surprise but they kind of, I'm not, I don't want to diminish that run but was for what was fascinating about that run? Was who they got to play. They barely beat USC in the

first round. That seems to be, however, USC, Tournament game goes USC, barely losing to, whoever they're playing, they played Auburn. And Auburn was a really good team. Last year in Auburn, Just completely forgot how to score the basketball in the game against. Miami my Miami team. Again, that was not very good defensively, last year.

And then they played Iowa State, who was another surprise entrant into the sweet 16. And they again, they ran into an Iowa State team that just couldn't shoot the basketball very similar to what we saw at Iowa State, and their game yesterday, Iowa State in that game shot, 18 percent from three. So look, Indiana needs to be judicious with their shot selection.

I will, I would argue at this point that if you look at Miami's overall schedule, they haven't had a whole lot of games that weren't at home, where they had to where they were able to successfully play against a player of the caliber of Trace Jackson, Davis. And I also think that we're going to see Jalen Hood Fino step up in a much bigger way offensively in this next game because it's going to be very

much a guards game. You go down the list of the games that Miami's played over the course of the season. And You know, they had a nice win at North Carolina, but North Carolina didn't didn't even make the tournament. They had a win at Virginia Tech. Same thing didn't make the tournament they lost in the second round of the ACC tournament and you go through the rest of their schedule.

And it's like, well, they were kind of home court heroes in a way they really didn't have a whole lot that you would look at and say wow that was a tremendously impressive when that demonstrates that Miami is a top-level team. I mean, they beat Rutgers at home. So did Indiana, they beat Providence on a neutral floor?

Or, you know, congratulations and at pretty much everything else that they did of note was on, it was on those at home and those are teams that generally struggle, a little bit when they get to the tournament. So I think Indiana by the metrics by everything else, you know, is a favored in this game, they should be. It really does though.

As you said Scott, come down to what energy level and what effort level does Indiana come in with if they play with the vibe that they played with against Kent State. I'm not that worried, but as you said, it's never a guarantee with. Steam that that's what they're going to come in with and that's going to be a really fascinating thing to watch. Yep. And I would say to you mentioned kind of a home court hero thing. Like just just from watching on TV.

We're not no we're not in Albany but it sound like there was a very good Indiana contingent there and then with a teams left, you're looking, you know, Indiana Miami the other two teams playing in the MVP Arena, cute name for an arena Yukon and st. Mary's, like there's no, there's no reason why you Khan fans have anything against us. It like it's also nice to like this is, you know, just being

positive. What we see, you know, if you're a Yukon fan or your You're a Saint Mary's fan, you kind of just like all right you know you stick around and watch that game. Like if we're playing Drake and then Drake's within five points like suddenly everyone in this place was not an IU fan. One strike to win. Yeah. You don't really have that with Indiana Miami like it's if it's a good game people be fired up but you're not going to have that.

That's always the concern in these games is that once the lower see, once a quote-unquote Cinderella, has a shot everyone and everyone's going for like suddenly. Now you're back in the bunker and becomes a road game, like this will be a home game for him. A pseudo home game for Indiana based on the crowd that I heard last night, just based on the teams that are there, that should have the most fan contingent It's really

fascinating. I'm just happy Indiana still in it and I'm glad they're going to have. It's gonna be a fun game. You know, it's interesting because Indiana has not had a lot of straight up. 45 matchups in their history. Yeah, you know, you and you go back and when Indiana has been in that 45, you know, area, he was the last, well, they're in the 32. Well, well, right, so that was one of the rare ones where it's like, ooh, Indiana Indiana. Kentucky.

A five verses of for that was that was fun, you know. But the you figure in 2012, they they should have played. Who was it? Creighton yesi. No, not in 2000 in 2012. No. Sorry, it was, it was Wichita, State. Who was the five? It was, I knew was a Missouri Valley team but VCU upsets them. That was shocked as like, second-best team at VCU and they end up playing, you know, that team, I think they were a 12. Seed, you go all the way back like you said to 2002 and Indiana's.

The 5c And they don't get to play USC. Unc-wilmington beats them. So I'm excited about like a nice matchup here between two, good teams from two very proud conferences. And I like Indiana's, chances overall should be a really, really fun game. I'm looking forward to it. So, anyway, Scott, any final thoughts before we wrap up now, man? Good day. Yesterday was a great day on all

accounts. Yeah, yeah, it's you don't get those sorts of good days that often but that was, you know, Providence had managed to knock Kentucky off. That would have In like the Holy Trinity of outcomes, but I'll take it it was it was absolutely amazing. And like you said the Purdue lost was great. That will last for 50 years. Indiana playing as well as they did and coming away with a double-digit victory just was it was? That was the cake. The Purdue game was the icing but the Indiana win.

That was the cake anyway. We will be back, probably Monday because I think the Sunday game is gonna be a little late for us to do anything post game. So plan on hearing from Again on Monday and we'll talk about what happened. Hopefully, previewing Indiana with a trip to the Sweet 16. We'll see what happens. My thanks to everybody for joining us. My thanks to our partners at the back home network. Be sure to tune in Indiana.

Women about to start playing. We're recording on on Saturday morning and they're about to take on Tennessee Tech. I think it is in the 116 game and they'll have a game on Monday as well. So, we'll preview that a little bit, but be sure to check out the doing the work podcast. Through the back home, network, the Crimson cast women's basketball show with Amanda Foster.
