this year. Yeah, great to be back. Yeah, last weekend overall had another really good weekend, your bet paid out. It's kind of weird for me. I was at the IU game and just a note for people there, if you have T Mobile, you will not have any service whatsoever. So I was unable to bet any games while I was sitting there tailgating. So, So I didn't have as much action going, but I was able to get the Hoosiers and they did
not cover. So it was a stinger end of the evening for me, but but overall pretty good week. How was how we got the report card from Galen that you, you were a good citizen during the tailgate. How was your tailgate experience with gaalan? See, I don't know why everybody was concerned about my citizenship, but nobody, I didn't drink anybody under the table this year. So so that's good. I didn't attempt to, that's why I didn't happen.
It was great, you know, we brought his mother buddies from Chicago come down and, you know, Galen stand there and he's doing his thing. You know, he's getting all the food. He's got the, you know, his griddle is Blackstone and he's ready to roll in there. Like, we feel weird, we should be helping him. Like, if you showed up, you know, if your neighborhood is painting, a mural on the side of a building and you show up and Picasso is already there and he's, you know, working on it.
You're not going to pick up your roller and, you know, head on over You know, just let the master do his thing and enjoy and we did and it was great. Galen is an excellent host. If you ever get the chance stop by and say hi to him, you will not regret it best tailgate. So he wanted a completely agree. He's a great host as food choices or fantastic.
He always is Manning it in and he's able to be social but also continue to pump out really good food like he's the most social short-order cook you're going to see in the tailgate lat well and I think half of the griddle is so that he can kind of do it. Of Teppanyaki Flair to it all. I think he won't admit it, but I'm sure that's part of it. Oh, yeah. I like yeah. And I love that. You know, he's the part of our podcast of turn into tailgate corner, but he gives great advice.
He was talking to him because I think I've mentioned this before my son who's nine? Really, really wants to tailgate this year. Well, let's get to it. So, last week, your bet I think was Iowa, State, plus three and a half for me, and we won that. So that was good. Let's get to the lines this week, we have, hey, you don't get, I'm Sorry, by the way, you know, I know that the queen passed away and that was tough for a lot of people, but I think the real tragedy here for James, we should probably have a moment of silence. James, you no longer get to bet against Scott, Frost anymore.
So, I'm sorry and hopefully you poured one out for being able to win money on Scott Frost. Inept table coaching, it's better to burn out than to fade away and it's Gotti he kind of did both, right? Oklahoma at and this is what Nebraska gets. It's like everyone's happy for two days. It's like, oh yeah. We gotta play the sixth sixth, ranked team in the country. Oklahoma comes in to Lincoln. They are an 11-point favorite,
you got a light? I mean, I don't want even answer for you, but you gotta like, Oklahoma, and the points, right? Boomer Sooner. Yeah, yeah, let's get the Conestoga wagon and or rolling over Lincoln. Yeah, give me give me the shooters. Drop those. Points. Purdue at Syracuse Purdue comes in as a one and a half Point Underdog. Yeah, this one I found really interesting and my immediate reaction was take the boilers on
the money line. I think that they know that makes sense for the more I look at. I think that over looks really good. If 59 and a half, I think there's going to be some serious points scored in that game. I think Syracuse is going to run all over Purdue and I think Purdue is going to throw all over. Syracuse who plays an odd little defense. They play 335 so, you know,
they're running out. You know, a nickel Corner situation and I don't know, I don't know what produce going to do, but I'm Got a Feeling from might try to get cute, but either way, I think there's gonna be a lot of points, so give me the over in that. Okay. Next up, you have Michigan, again, trying to go back-to-back weeks with a huge line. They didn't get to 50 but they are 47 and a half Point favorites.
Over Yukon. Okay, so my initial reaction was to take Michigan and drop the points but I'm going to go the over 60 on this. I think there's going to be a ton of points scored in Michigan MI it up. A late touchdown they may be something like fifty six two six and the over hits so that's why I like to go on this one. Okay. Big money's on Yukon in the point just so you know. Next step you have Southern Illinois at Northwestern Northwestern 12 and a half Point
favorite at home. I didn't even have this one because I wrote down things yesterday, so but it's up now. Yeah, Southern Illinois. I mean I'm going to take Northwestern, I'm going to lay 12 and a half. They should beat them by two touchdowns. Especially at, you know they want to get some bad taste out of their mouth. I think this is the team to do it to get right game for him. Yeah, we're going to keep moving on some of these bigger lines. You have Rutgers at Temple.
Rutgers is my gosh. They're an 18-point favorite, that's that's wild. That's gone up. They were at 17. So I like Rutgers, I had a - 17 and a half. I like the over there as well, 44 and a half, but give me Rutgers away those points. Okay, don't want to save. We're going to kind of blow through, remind me to come back to the Penn State game. We're going to save some of the good games to the end.
So I'm going to go two more three more kind of garbage games, Colorado and Minnesota. Minnesota is a 27 and a half Point favorite go for row that boat lay those points. This is PJ flag. They just, they play the most garbage schedules to start. Every year. They have played the softest schedule and all its college football. I mean, it is just the worst of the worst and somehow they don't get any Anna's their crossover game. Yep. Well they also have the Big Ten West, it's like, they just
continue to play a bad schedule. Also, interestingly enough on that one, the over-under is 47. If you're interested in playing, Like unlike the overall map. I think we're just totally get the over by the Tells well, another one that might happen. You know, with New Mexico state is playing at Wisconsin, Wisconsin, a 37 and a half Point favorite the over is only forty six, point five for the entire game. Do you like do you like the? Oh, I'm you got like the over
there? Well, I like this console and the points. Quite honestly, that's what I had immediately. But yeah, I mean when you see that low of an over, you know, I think Wisconsin is gonna they could win 42 to nothing, though. That's the only thing that would worry me. Is they pitch a shutout because New Mexico state has already been shut out this year, so that would be the thing that kind of worried me. Would worry me a little bit on that total. Next up, you know, we call it here first.
Ohio state is good as reported here. First on Crimson cash. Again, another week, we're keeping track of this double digit favorite for Ohio State. Ohio, State is a 31 and a half Point favorite against Toledo. Yeah, I I think take the points with the Rockets here. The over unders is 62. I think there's gonna be a lot
of points scored in this game. Toledo can put up points, But they also, they put up 38 points and weak one, but gave up that it was like 21 to Duquesne. So, got, they got three touchdowns on him. Just imagine what Ohio state is going to do. So, I really like the over here as well, but if I'm going to take a spread bet on that, I'd probably take the Rockets of the points. Okay, next up, this is kind of a wild one. We have Michigan State against our old friend, Michael penix
and killed a boar. And Washington. This is in Seattle. Looking at the line movement for this game and it happened earlier. But, Michigan State used to be a favorite. They are now an underdog. Now, Washington is a three and a half Point, favorite Michigan was at one point. Like a four point favorite in this game. So Michigan State coming in and three and a half. Point Underdog. What do you see here? You think penix is going to get it done?
I say take the Spartans in three and a half points. That's a, that's a key number for a good football, team. I like penix. I think, I think and I think they look good. I like the board. I think there they've got something cooking up there, but I think Michigan State's, also a very good football team. And three and a half points, just seems a bit too much for me. So I'll take Spartans, plus the points it. I will just say, aye. I agree with you and that's where I'm going to bet it, but
it is odd. If if you're going to assume that Michigan state is, you know, their 11th in the country if you just assume that's the case, they're going to an unranked opponent. I know you're going west, but it's weird to think of a top 10 team playing an unranked team and the line having that kind of movement, and then them being an underdog. Like, something is funky with
the line. That's all I'm going to say something's weird their true because I mean, look at, you got to have a ranked Penn State Team visiting an unranked Auburn team in Penn State's favorite in that game. So what's going on? You know, and it moved a lot.
Like when you look at the line movement, it happened, you know, a couple weeks ago, but it went from, you know, Michigan State being a basically, three and a half Point favorite to a three and a half Point Underdog. It's a six-point swing. That's that's a big move. Yeah. But it's also till I know differently. I would say take the Spartans plus three and a half but be careful people because that kind of stuff. There's a reason those things happen.
Yeah, be careful out there guy forgot, there's two ice, didn't scroll down far enough. There's one more garbage game Nevada at Iowa. You really love these Iowa lines. I was a 23 and a half Point favorite for the over under 39. That's, that's 20 safeties. Everybody just a little do Iowa's score. They should have an over-under safeties for Iowa games for how many points they score. What do you like in the Iowa? Nevada game. I love everything about this game. You're the only one.
But yes. I love Nevada. Plus twenty three and a half points. I'm not sure. I will get scored 24 points in a game. I also love this low under here at 39 and a half, but if I were my first bet on this game would be Nevada, plus twenty three and a half points, I like that. You would bet the under it 39 points. I mean, I know, I was not got a great offense, that's just that's, that's a really low under the under last week. In Iowa, Iowa State was 40 and a half and it That we covered.
All right, I'm writing it down. I still have you stole my bet you stole my $10 to play with. Don't forget Lala. All right. Next up. SMU not your parents, as not your Eric Dickerson. SMU guide, love the SMU better again, that was one of my favorite ice, I can't wait for the NCAA football game to come back back in like 08-09. I used to play, just I played the shit out of EA Sports NCAA football and one of my favorite teams to pick up was SMU, just because they had a cool
uniforms. That and you could just it was fun, having them like ranked number one in the country. They play a fun brand of football, it's up and down, but they come in as a 3 point, Underdog to Maryland. See and I had that at two and a half which I love. I don't like three as much, but give me Maryland and lay the points. God over under a 72 and a half. Yeah, well that's gone down. It was 74 yesterday. That's wild compared to the Iowa 39.
That's I wouldn't be surprised at that overheads, really? Yeah, but but I do, I do really like Maryland to win this game and if you can get it at two and a half, I would highly recommend that. Just looking now you can get it. Yeah, you can get it to and a half on FanDuel and DraftKings, just not that MGM. So you know what that means Scott's. So there you go, there's your bet. So I go Maryland, two and a half. Yep, you're riding the turtles this week. All right.
I will do that two-and-a-half good. You got me on the Action Network. I'm so into this. Now checking all the lines like it's just it's it's nice coming down the degenerate tunnel with you, I appreciate it. Sometimes I'll just let you know on that. So I know I'm always worried about some of that stuff where you get when you don't have anymore. I don't have probably more now. Okay, next up we have Penn State at Auburn which you referenced earlier two teams both 2 and 0. The line here is Auburn is a three point Underdog at home. Yeah, give me the home, dog, I'll take those points, it seems kind of odd, but yeah, I'll take Auburn plus 3. Yeah. It's the wine is moved up. And looking at I like looking at the odds history.
Now like the line has jumped up a little bit, that's where it. Yeah, because Penn State didn't look amazing against Purdue, and I feel like at Auburn's a tougher place than Rossa. That's interesting line. All right, that brings us all to Western Kentucky at Indiana. Indiana. I mean have they earned this? I don't know but they are a six and a half Point favorite at home. The lines been relatively steady. What do you think I have real thoughts on this? I want to know your thoughts first.
Well, I can tell you where the public sat on it public, Bettors are overwhelmingly behind the hilltoppers on this spread. Your boy James is overwhelmingly on the hilltoppers on this spread. That's a that's a huge line, six and a half for a game that's going to be high scoring. I don't think there's any way I use defense is not as good as the one that gave up a bunch of points to him, you know.
So I don't know, I I worry, this comes down to IU, gets off to a slow start like they did last week and they just can't catch up because they've dug themselves too big, a hole because the hilltoppers are gonna put up more than 10 points and a half. I can tell you that right now. So this is a this is a very very tough situation for Indiana and I don't I don't want them to lose but if they're going to I think this is the kind of game, they might lose, you know?
That they shouldn't. Yeah, that's a that's a wild line but it just it if I was playing, you know, guess the lines. I would think this would almost be like a pickup or maybe Indiana by three and you just figure you give him the three point home field advantage but to have us at six and a half that's that's pretty wild. I also I think they'll be some points scored.
I'm just not sure if Indiana could can score enough points like an over-under at 61. I'm going to stay away from the over-under but I I worry that we're going to be able to get to 30 points. Our offense just is not shown that ability to get it done. So yeah, I am going to be there. I'm going to be tailgating. I will be wearing my I you dear. I'm also going to bet Western Kentucky plus six and a half is
just a huge line to cover. I just don't think I think this is going to be a squeaker of Indiana's able to get it done. Yeah, I'm with you there. I may actually sprinkle a little a bit on Western Kentucky to win outright just because those those odds are pretty good as well plus to 15. But I'll tell you where you can if you really want some good value. Check out some of the Indiana receiver props on FanDuel or DraftKings.
I mean, DJ Matthews is a sixty three and a half receiving yards over under and Camp cameras at Campers at 59 and a half. I think both those probably go over cause I got a feeling there's gonna be a lot of throwing in this game and those are the two guys. You can get thrown to all I. So I think there's definitely some value on the IU prop side. You want to make a little money you know on that I'm definitely going to cost some money on those props.
I think those are pretty good. That's a great call. I'm also looking at like if you look at the first half, what about what's the? I'm just looking for your wasn't three and a half point spread in the first half yesterday. And so to me that's another one that like is I you going to be a more in a field goal at halftime. You can get EV at Western Kentucky four-and-a-half on FanDuel for the first half. That's that's an interesting in the first quarter, you can get Western Kentucky.
Plus 3, Indiana has not shown a great first half or first quarter start. So I kind of like even going deep, if you want to do a Western Kentucky, plus three, quarter one quarter, one bet. I liked that too. Yeah, and if you got, you know, sometimes you'll get some of these, you know, risk free or you know, boosted see Will gain
parlays. This might be an opportunity you want to use one of those if you really think, you know how this game is going to go that it's going to be a back and forth, kind of high-scoring thing or, you know, put a few bets
together. The kind of say that, you know, what's your Kentucky, plus 3 in the first quarter, plus four and a half in the first half and plus six and a half for the game parley, all those together, you know, you can do that, you can do that, you can do the money line on the first quarter. Just do Western Kentucky moneyline all they got to do is be ahead in the first quarter is plus 135 and if it ties that's a push. So you know You just okay well then the rest of your parlay has to hit.
So something to think about there, I'm still doing my ten-dollar, Maryland cover in that two and a half. Are you okay as my bedding Guru? Are you okay with me? Also, doing a parley with the Maryland and the Western Kentucky Yes. Although I would tell you I really like it was almost Minnesota - 27 and a half was almost your harmonica back. So so I do really like that one. I plan on parlaying those two together, maybe pale parley, all three together you know toss just a little bit on it or
something. I had a real big winner. Last week with parlaying Wake Forest - 13 and a half and Duke plus 10 and a half and ended up winning about 70 bucks on that one bets. So if you get some of these parlays together, you know, get some of those boosts and stuff you can do pretty well. Well, we're going to wrap it up there because I got bad news for you man. Hawaii is playing Duquesne and there's no line.
There's no over under, there's no money line that there's no line on this game that I can find. Yeah, I couldn't find one either. We may have to wait and wait and wait for our beloved rainbows to get a line out, but I imagine there will be points scored. That's my prediction because that's every Hawaii game. I'm There's probably I'm gonna guess the over-under on that is probably around. I don't know 66. I'm gonna guess. That's where it'll come out.
I'm just gonna look at top 25 years, any good lines out there? That would be like what's a really good match up? Just to ask you about, I'm putting you on the spot here, my friend, there's no real good matchups in the top 25 this week. All right, yeah. It's there's not much not much. I guess Miami in Texas. A&M would be the only two top 25 teams. But who knows what to do with that. I mean, both those teams could. I'm not sure.
They know who they are. So, yeah, I mean A&M is 6 point. Anyway, we're getting way off topic your well, James Van. All right, let's go. Three and out. Let's do it, do it. And let's and, you know, if you're new to gambling and you just don't want to bet on the Hoosiers to lose or Western Kentucky to win.
Go for one of those first half that's our first quarter bet it's okay you can win some money in the first quarter and then you can just, you know, worried about that you're rooting on the Hoosiers to beat the hilltoppers, which I hope happens. But Saturday is going to be a big game. Well and just remember if you're taking Western Kentucky, plus six and a half, you're not betting that I use going to lose, right? You're getting in there and win by less than six points.
