You're listening to the Back Home Network presented by Home Field Apparel. You know what sound that means. It is time for Crimson Cash. We are back, James. It's good to talk to you, man. It has been a long eight months. I think we're back for like season three or four. It wouldn't be Crimson Cash if we didn't know how long we've been doing it, but it's at least three or four years. At least three whatever betting was legal.
Somebody can Google that? 3-3 or four, we can bet on the the the 3 1/2 is the line for how long we've been doing this podcast together. I love it. We've been doing it back in the Big 10 was 14 teams. It's it's been a while and man, let me tell you, I'm so happy to have college football back. I lost my ass on Olympic break dancing. Did you bet on that? Yeah, I had that chick from Australia who did the kangaroo hop and totally lost my ass, so yeah.
I, I got to say that I was doing pretty rough in the NBA playoffs. I kind of, I kind of take a break after the NBA playoffs. That is, there's not a lot of sports. I'm just I, I enjoy. I, I did some Wimbledon betting and Pelini, I believe little Italian girl went to the finals. I, I did well on her, but I had a like 8, like an eight leg parlay or yeah, parlay on an, the last Pacers Celtics game. It was great.
Like I went into the fourth quarter, I think I needed like one more point from TJ McConnell, like a point from OB Toppen and like one assist from Tatum and it was like, I bet 15 bucks and I won like $1200. Like it was just like the last game. I'm like, I'm just doing like 12 things that I think will happen. Never worked. I done like ten of those bets throughout the playoffs, hadn't won and then just won a 15. Like a $1200 payout at the end
of the year was great. I got the Kentucky Derby winner at 18 to one. I also had. I also had the Preakness winner as well, so I got 2/3 of a Triple Crown during the offseason. I did not actually bet on break dancing on the Olympics. I did bet on like fencing and table tennis and all sorts of weird shit, but how'd you do? I I I did OK in the Olympics. I about broke even. OK, I I did tennis. I should probably get back into it. I mean, US Open's going on right now.
Yeah, you can usually steal some value there all. Right, I'm going to try and pull up talk for a second about anything else you bet on. I want to pull up this parlay on FanDuel because I was really proud of it. Yes. So as far as betting goes, MOB has been kind of, you know, down in the dumps. I'm that it's tough, you know, when you're betting daily on Major League Baseball, so you kind of got to look at your teams. The White Sox have been profitable because they lose all the time.
I can't believe you got something that. Baseball's just nuts. Yeah, but if you're looking for a parlay, just add the White Sox to lose on it and you're going to be right most of the time. So that's unusual. They are historically bad. So that's been profitable. So, you know, that's kind of what I've been up to recently, but really looking forward to this football season. One of the things I did, and I posted this on X in May was I took the Hoosiers over 5 1/2 wins on the season.
Oh, I like that. And in May, that was at plus 123 odds. So they are currently sitting at over under six at -160 So the odds have definitely gone up on the Hoosiers to win multiple games this year. Good on you. And what's that? I said good on you. Yeah so and I did post that so it only got 2 likes so hopefully those two people also bet it. It could have been Signetti and Rourke for all you know. All right, so FanDuel, you can't go back in time that far and
look at that. So anyway, I had a nice, I had a really nice parlay. Nobody cares about other people's winning stories. So anyway, before we get moving on, just want to give a quick shout out to home field apparel. Use the promo code home 23 for 15% off your first purchase. Check them out. They have coaches jackets. Like I didn't think home field could go to another level. This is one where I am fired up to see the coach's jackets. It's like the old like windbreaker type jackets.
They look awesome. They killed it with the bomber jackets. The Indiana one is one of my favorites. So check out the coach's jackets if you haven't bought yet. Use promo code HOME 23 to get 15% off your first purchase. All right, James, we were talking about what we're going to do this year. We're thinking of just doing straight Big 10 teams like no other extra teams because there's more than enough Big 10 teams. So we'll just start going down the list. And then I would like to talk a
little futures with you as well. And I think we're going to try and do like a parlay we all put together at the end of each week of nothing but Big 10 teams. There's there's more than enough gambling within the Big 10 if you just want to keep it there. Yes, and but, you know, we may find a tasty little treat outside the conference every now and then.
There is a team that I've got my eye on that I want to bet against, so we'll get to them when we get to their game for this week that is out of the Big 10 Conference. But they're playing a Big 10 opponent, so there's a little peas for everybody. OK, we are going to save the IU game for last. So and by the way, be careful folks. A lot of big lines out there just let you know a lot of big lines. So we start with Howard at Rutgers. Rutgers, the first time in history, Rutgers is a 38 1/2
point favorite. I don't remember ever saying those words and Rutgers together, but they are a 38 1/2 point favorite. The over under is 51. So we're assuming Howard just not going to score. What? What do you like here, James? I like the under and I like Howard with the points. But to your point here, don't go crazy. This is the first week of the season, folks. You don't know anything. Vegas doesn't know anything.
And so don't go crazy this week. But yeah, that's a huge line for Rutgers. Like even when they're, when were they really good? Even when they were really good, I don't remember them ever putting up those kind of points. So yeah, give me, I would take the under or 38 1/2. That line has actually gone up because it was 36 1/2 this morning. So that line has gone up by two points. So maybe Vegas knows something and the total has gone up by a point and a half.
So if you're on the, either take the points or go the underside. It might be good to get it before it goes back down again. Good call. All right, you have Speaking of like, don't go crazy first week. Just a quick fantasy football story. My, my friend Robert in our fantasy Football League has already traded a third round pick for a for Marvin Harrison junior season even started yet. So it's like guys are already tanking and and trading first round picks. It's it's wild.
So everyone, everyone's fired up for football. Like everyone's just really fired up. If you're taking, if you're throwing a ton of money on a 38 point line with Rutgers, you're you're really excited for football and you probably need to. It's a marathon folks. It's not a Sprint. All right, Next up you have North Carolina at Minnesota. Minnesota is a 1 1/2 point underdog at home. I'm going to take the dogs to win out right here. The underdog about Minnesota. Row the boat.
Yeah, row that boat. They're at home. PJ Fleck. I mean, he's OK. They've had some good teams. I don't know exactly what they've got, but I know North Carolina lost their best player. And so, yeah, give me, give me the Big 10 team at home here. All right. Next up, we have Elon. I'm assuming EIL that's Elon Eastern Illinois. All right, Well, either way, it's it's a division two or whatever they're calling it now team against Illinois. Illinois is a 28 1/2 point favorite at home.
Yeah, I'm going to like the under here. Oh, the under 49 1/2 is what I see. Yes, so 'cause I mean, 49 1/2 seems like a lot of points, although if this thing goes under 28, give me Bill, I'm going to cover that spread. He's still the coach there, right? He has. Lost that checked. And there's nothing he loves more than running up the score on people. So 28 1/2 minus is tempting. But if you want to tease that, I wouldn't. I wouldn't hate you there.
You don't hate anybody. You shouldn't hate anybody moving on. So Next up we have Florida Atlantic playing one of the many Big 10 teams that we're playing this year that has a question mark around what we're going to see out of them. The Michigan State Spartans Sparty at home is a only a 14 point favorite. Yeah, give me, give me 14 points there. I don't know what to make of Michigan State. They should be able to win by more than 14, but you never know. So you like you like Florida
Atlantic plus the points. I don't like it. I would stay away from it, but gun to my head, I'm taking 14 points there 'cause I don't trust Michigan State at all. Would you take it over at 45 1/2? It's a really low over. Yeah, I don't know. I would just stay away from it. I don't know what to make of them. That's fair, Fair. I would agree it's it's not good. You're only four points away from the Iowa Over Under.
Like if you're if you're getting an Iowa over Under territory, it's like I'm starting to look at the over anyway. Oh, don't worry, we'll get to that. Next up we have Western Michigan, Western Michigan at Wisconsin, WMU. I'm assuming it's Western Michigan. This is and this is. That's the one team I want to keep an eye out on. This Oh, OK, nice. Well, they are right now. They're a 23 1/2 point underdog going into Madison. OK, do you know why I want to keep an eye out on them?
I have no idea. Their offensive coordinator is a man named Walt Bell. Oh. The Over Under total team points for Western Michigan is at 14 1/2 at +105 odds on DraftKings. I have already snagged that up. So if you have as little faith in Walt Bell at Western Michigan as you had in him at IU, that is a tasty little bet, my friends. Oh I love this. So you're betting Western Michigan unders? I oh team total unders. Yeah, that seems like the way to go. I love. I also like the Badgers to roll.
Here I am. I am writing that down. That's. So there's a little tip for everybody. Shout out to Big Z for cluing me in on that. One of my gambling buddies. He's listening, I'm guessing. That's that is fantastic. That's a great call. You know what, we're going to keep up with them every week. I there are, how many weeks do you think they're going to go under their team total in points? Everyone until Vegas catches on. Yeah, it's 14 1/2 right now is the team total.
Yeah, and at plus odds. That's low. No, no, that's a low number of points for like Vegas. Wait, I mean, it's also at Wisconsin, but yeah. Oh I love that defense. Wasn't exactly stellar last year. James, that's a great call. That is a great nugget. That's fantastic. I love the anti Walt Bell. You know, we should also maybe we should have like like a former IU coaches segment. Maybe we could play some Alabama bets too. Let's let's let's. Talk about that. Alabama some. Some Alabama, some.
Yeah, yeah, I love. It well, Speaking of, I did not. I wish I could segue this. Good. Didn't plan on it. We have the Tom Allen LED defense of the Penn State Nittany Lions going in to Western Virginia. Western Virginia is an 8 1/2 point underdog at home. It's a tough Rd. environment. I will say that if there was a like on my list of top ten places I'd love to see a football game. Charleston's probably like in there for sure. I imagine that gets raucous. I would agree with that.
Also on my random list of places like obvious, like I'm I'm going in two weeks, the Rose Bowl. I'm excited for that. Like there's the ones, you know, the kind of the ones that make sense. Yeah, we need to talk about that. By the way, you and Galen taking trips to IU games has ended horribly, so I hope you you're consulting with a witch doctor of some sort, some sort of voodoo priestess to, you know, let's wait. We have two weeks, we have two weeks until then.
But like there's obviously the places you want to see. For me, kind of one of my stealth picks, like I'm for you, West Virginia for me is Virginia Tech. Like I just think a a night game at VTech with Enter Sandman playing when the team comes in. That place looks fun. See, I hate Metallica, and I misspoke earlier. I said Charleston. I'm at Morgantown. Yeah, wow. Or West, But I but no, I no,
like, I get that. I mean, it's kind of cool, but then you still got to watch Virginia Tech football. It's true in the in the Turkey, walking around the field. All right, So what do you what do you have in this game? Penn State? I like cover State to cover. Yeah, I do, too. Do we do we want to bet against Tom Allen's defense? I don't know 'cause he was actually a pretty good defensive coordinator. I want, I want to see, well, I think with enough talent he
could make a defense work. And if he doesn't have to worry about all the other things, I think that's his wheelhouse. Yeah, I had. I think it was with Connor Onion, one of my previews talking about how there might be more pressure as the defensive coordinator for Penn State than
the head coach at IU football. And I'm actually, I, I don't think that like on the surface is probably stupid, but there's like, you could really make the argument it's possible because like it's if that defense gets shredded, his, his ass is going to be on the line very quickly. Yes, but Penn State, you also have to remember they need somebody who's going to keep their nose clean after scandals of the past. And there's one who's definitely going to do that.
It's Tom Allen, so. Agree, but they're kind of they're that's ten years in the rear. I mean I hear but it's also like they, they just want to win. Like their defence is getting shredded and like if Michigan beats them and their defence gets shredded, it's it's going to be on Allen. Oh, absolutely. But you know, when he was a Miss, Ole Miss, and he had, you know, SEC talent, he did a damn fine job. So I can't imagine he's not going to do well, especially the
linebackers. I mean, it's linebacker university, right? And that's one thing he consistently did is put linebackers in the NFL. So I'll give him a hat tip for that. Here's one that I have a real question about. You have Indiana State at Purdue. Purdue's got question marks all over the place. It's a noon game. Purdue's a 32 1/2 point favorite. I mean, Indiana State's not good, but is Purdue 32 1/2 point favorite good? How many times has Indiana State rolled into Bloomington and the
Hoosiers haven't covered 32 1/2? Like this is the same deal? I don't understand why this line is so big. Yeah, Indiana State usually has some decent players, and Purdue is, like you said, not that great. So give me the Sycamores and I'll take those points. I, I agree. I mean, it's one of those where I think three times out of 10, Purdue's going to cover this, but it does feel like 7 times out of 10, they're not like, like you said, we've played Indiana State a bunch of times.
One or two times it feels like we've beaten them like 70 to 13. But every other time it's it's within 3032 is a huge number. Huge. Absolutely. All right. Next up we have UConn at Maryland. Again, another team with a lot of question marks of what's the post Tagliovoa era look like in Maryland. Maryland is a 20 1/2 point favorite at home. Give me the terps. Yeah, Yukon's just that bad. This isn't anything to do with Maryland. It's just Yukon is horrible. They're bad. So yeah.
All right, team, we wanted to talk about Illinois State is going into Iowa. Iowa is a love these numbers, 22 1/2 point favorite, but the over under is 41. It's going to be fun playing the Over under Iowa game again this season. I just, I don't think their offense can be as historically bad as it was last year, but you
never know. My high school that I went to has a pretty decent little quarterback, Carroll High School out of Fort Wayne, IN and he's been, he was recruited by Big 10 schools and he visited Minnesota and he's committed to Iowa, which didn't. And they lost their first game this year to Hamilton Southeastern and a huge blowout fashion. So I assume that Iowa's offense will continue to be horrible just based on that. And if we get a 41 total on Iowa, that's an automatic under
Scott, we're going to take that. I mean, yeah, that's well in Illinois State. I mean, can Iowa get? Can Iowa get 20? 8 How many points is Illinois State going to put up? That's fair, that's fair. Like I would say I'd be shocked if they get over 10. Because if this thing is 21 to 10, Kirk Ference is happy. If it's 28 to 10, Kirk Ference is happy. You know, and that's where this thing's going to be. They're not going to show too much.
They're going to play some, you know, backups that I think that's where we're at on this go the under. I'm writing it down. That's that's one like if I write it down, that means I'm betting it. Maybe. You know, I think we'll, we'll toss that in our teaser. This is one where a buddy was calling me up the other day. We were just talking football and we were going like he was asking me what I thought lines were. And we get to the Akron, OH
State Akron at Ohio State game. He's like, what do you think the line of that game? He's like, wow, what do you think that line is? And I'm like, wow, I remember last year Ohio State had a run of like 30 plus point lines just they were crushing it and I was like, well, you know, it's early. I don't know. Like they, you know, I was like, I was like, I don't know, 34 1/2. No, I was wrong. Line is 48 and a half, 48 1/2 with an over under a 58 1/2.
So they're assuming Ohio State just going to win 50 to nothing. That's a monster line, dude. That is a monster number. Yeah, this thing was at 49 earlier, too. Take Akron, take the points. That's just, that's a stupid amount of points. I don't care who you are. I mean, this is a Mac school. Hell, they almost beat Indiana last year. And sometimes those dual threat quarterbacks can be a problem for even good defenses, especially in the first week of the year.
And maybe Ohio State starts a little sluggish or whatever. Definitely look at the first half spread on that as well. Well, and the other thing too is, you know, with, with an expanded playoff, you know, if you're Ohio State, as long as you just even with one loss, you, you might be getting into
the into the playoff. So I, I do wonder if there's a little bit of a, you know, resetting here that hasn't happened, that Vegas isn't factoring in that, you know, a lot of these teams, Ohio State doesn't need to win these these garbage games by 5060 points. You just don't need to throw up a huge number. You just need to win like it's all you got to do is just stack up wins, not lose.
And and also like with Ohio State, Ryan Day has two jobs this year and one is to beat Michigan and two is to win the national title. And honestly, if he doesn't do both of the he, if he does one and not the other, he's probably OK. But if he doesn't do two of those, he's fired or he's going to be really on the hot seat, which is a wild place to be. So I just I don't see them in any position like if he's up 38 to nothing or, you know, 35 to nothing, just like, all right, screw it.
Just like let's run the ball, get out of here. Like, I don't see any reason why he would want to keep guys in to run up the score. He doesn't need to do anything this year but beat Michigan. Well, and this isn't, you know, my thing is this is Akron, this is a Mac school. It's not. Every single one of these kids has been passed over by Ohio State, right? This is their damn Super Bowl, right?
They have no chance of winning, but by God, those kids are going to go out there and lose by 7 touchdowns. I think that's a ridiculously highline. Another bunch of kids who were passed up by Ohio State. You have Miami of Ohio going to Northwestern in a high school equivalent arena or not a stadium in wherever they're playing in the the side of Evanston. Northwestern is a three-point favorite at Air Quotes Home. Scott, I believe you have a sound for this pic.
There we go. All right, give me them cats. So yeah, I'll take them -2 1/2. But you know, win by a field goal against, you know, like, look, it's a Max goal. This is a field goal game. Like, you know, like that makes a lot more sense, right? Like, but you're right, they are playing like in a rec field, like, you know, like it's, it's pretty bad up there. But we shouldn't discuss that or Galen will get upset and we'll both be reprimanded.
Yes, and it'll sound like this. So Next up, we well, it's so two thoughts here that involve NCAA 25. I'm not sure. Have you been playing NCAA 25? I hate it. I bought a PlayStation five just to get that game and I am so disappointed in it. Luckily though my son bought me Fallout 4 for Father's Day and and I love that so so it's worked out for me to get the new console but very disappointed in the game. Very very. I will check out Fallout 4.
I've I've enjoyed the game. They just had a new patch a couple weeks ago and it's it's made it a lot tougher. Like I'm getting sacked all over the place like it is. That's what I've been waiting for. I well, no, it doesn't need to be tougher. Good Lord, what's the last thing it needs? Well, it's gotten tougher, at least for me. Like I, I started a dynasty with Indiana and I'm like, I'm, I have 12. I have no time to throw the
ball. How many roughing the kicker penalties you've been called for? Because I get like 3A game. Well, so I, I SIM, I just play offense, I SIM kicks, I SIM defense, I just, I get a game done in like 12 minutes. Yeah, well, if you try to play defense, trust me, you will throw your controller like through a window. It's impossible. Well, it's gotten I I think the offense has gotten harder.
All all that said, I was disappointed when I played at Northwestern in the game and it's not on the rec league. Feel like I was kind of curious to see what they did. It's like now it's still in Ryan field. So that's where. There's 45 mile an hour wind gusts coming off of the leg. Yeah, it's like they didn't do that. And then it's also a bummer, like we moved Hep's rock too late so that the the the rock is
in the wrong place in the game. And then just this is a personal note for me. Our next game, UTEP at Nebraska UTEP, I have a, a, a long standing dynasty that I've played with my brother-in-law back when the game like in 2008, you know, 5678910, like we played a dynasty every year. There was online dynasties. We had one that went 28 years. We then exported all of those draft picks into Madden and played a 28 year Madden dynasty. Like we, we go deep.
I've been playing one with him. We're in year 4I, I started with UTEP. So I feel like I have a lot of connection to UTEP right now so that we're doing pretty well. We have not won a title at UTEP, but I've I've taken him to the national championship game twice. All this is fairy tale stuff, but in real world, UTEP is going to Nebraska, and Nebraska is a 27 1/2 point favorite over my beloved UTEP team. I'm tempted to take Nebraska and lay the points, but I also like the under here.
I really like the under, yeah. 49 1/2. Yeah, 49 1/2, I think that's a good under and I think that's the one to take. Nebraska's offense, I'm not sure about. They may put up some points, but I can assure you that UTEP's a real life offense will not mirror that of your video game experience and I'm doubting they put up a ton of points. My team did I won the Heisman my first year with the the running back there, but I don't think it's going to happen in real life.
All right, another my God, this is like so many big we got to stop talking so many big 10 teams. All right, we have UCLA at Hawaii and Hawaii is a 14 point underdog. Why? What is What is? What do we know about UCLA? Here's what I like. I like the over in this game at 54 and a. Half OK, that's a good way to play it. I think there's going to be a ton of points scored here. Tommy Chang out at Hawaii, he got the offense moving last year.
They got a lot better towards the end of the year and UCLA defensively should be able to put up a little bit of a fight against them, but I think they might put up some points too. I like the over late, late night, actually. This is a four third or a 130 kick. For them, yeah, seven afternoon game, 7:30 Eastern. All right, Next up, by the way, bummed that Idaho was not in the NCAA Football game. So like no Kibby Dome for any of us? The dome's the best.
It it was the best part of the game. Like that was one of the best parts of the game. You have Idaho at Oregon. Oregon. Get ready man, a 43 1/2 point favorite. OK, I know I hate stupid lines. This is the one I'd take. I I kind of agree that I feel like Oregon could just easily blow this line out. They seem like the team that'll win 56 to 10 or 63 to 10. Yeah, this is poor, poor, poor Vandals. They're about to get boat raised. Look at the over under 62 1/2.
Yeah, I kind of like, I don't, I don't like any of that. I I would, I would take yeah, Oregon plus the points. I wouldn't go to the over under. Yeah. All right, and then you have Michigan, the defending national champions hosting Fresno State and they're like, all right, we're going to get our respect. You know, we we've done a little cheating. We have some suspensions, but we're going to, we're going to get the respect from everybody.
And then Nope, Oregon gets a big line, Ohio State gets a big line and they get a big sad trombone. All they get is a 21 point line at home. They're 21 point favorites over Fresno State. And I like Fresno State here with those points. If we will remember correctly, last year Michigan did not have crazy lines and they did not cover those lines either. Now I know we have a new coach, but we also have less talent on the team. 21 seems a bit much. So give me a Fresno State plus points.
We got two left. We have Weber State, Weber State, Weber, Weber, Weber, Weber. They're going to Washington, Washington, which is like just a shell of themselves. They don't have anything. They are a 26 point favorite at home. And the over under I got it 52 1/2 that's. Where I see it too, yeah. Yeah, and I like the under here. I don't know what to make of Washington's offense.
I assume their defense should be able to keep Weber State in check simply by the fact that they're Washington and the other team is Weber State. So yeah, give me the under here. I don't see a ton of points there. And the last game, this is a good one man 730 on ABC. You have LSU going to USC, both ranked teams. This is where we're going to see is USC legit? Are they going to be able to to to be a, to be a top level team? Line doesn't say. So they are a four and a half
point underdog at home. Over give me the over points, points, points, points, points. So the over 60. 4 1/2. Yep, give me the over. This thing's going to be wild, man. I got a feeling. OK, I'm I'm going to write that down too. I like you. You sold me just on saying it five times. Well, maybe we toss it into a teaser. You know, we find our best ones, you know, we toss them into a teaser here. That's what I like to do. You tease, you know, you get 6
points. You know, if we were to pick the three best, which gives you like a + 160, which ones of those do you like the best, Scott? Well, we got to get to the IU game. We forgot one. We forgot one so. The bread and butter. I know the whole reason people are listening. So before we get to the IU game, just a quick shout out to our friends over at Upland Brewing who have the Hoosier Game Day Logger. They're in the heart of Bloomington. The stuff is awesome.
It embodies Hoosier pride in every can. If you're at Memorial Stadium, look for it's in the iconic cream and Crimson candy stripes. It's classically smooth, refreshing beer and brewed to perfection. You can get it Memorial Stadium or Assembly Hall from your favorite spot. IU athletics are always better with beer. You can capture the spirit of Hoosier basketball or football with every sip.
Find the Hoosier Game Day Logger at Upland's nine family friendly locations, your local liquor store, neighbourhood bar, or everywhere else Upland beers are sold. Upland Beer. Upland Brewing Company reminds you to drink responsibly. Go the Hoosiers. No reason why you shouldn't have at least one Upland game day Logger at the game on Saturday, whether you're at Memorial Stadium or watching somewhere else. I will be at Memorial Stadium watching. I'm taking the family down to tailgate.
I have some Upland beer. I have some Game day Logger in my fridge which I will be bringing to the tailgate lot. Ray to Rock'n'roll. I know Galen's going to have his tailgate going. I think he's getting there like a nine. He's doing a double meal, tailgate, a breakfast and a lunch, which is a lot all in advance. I'll be there. Bring me a game day logger. Are you gonna? Are you coming? Are you coming down?
My my oldest son, who's a senior in high school and I are coming down for the game, so we'll be at Galen's tailgate. So make sure to stop by and say, hey, and you better bring me a game day logger. I will. I love Upland, I will. Galen's moving his spot this year so it's a little bit harder for us. So I will text you where we're going to be. You got to come, you might need to come, come by ours on the way in the stadium. We can do that.
A lot I don't know after a are you, are you doing the 9:00 start time for the for the tailgate? No, we won't get that. We got to drive from Fort Wayne, so we won't be there that early. OK, so I was going to say, if you're starting at 9, there's no way I'm getting a a James that is going to be coherent by the time he gets to my tailgate. Well, incoherent James is sometimes the best. And all of this leading up to the Florida International game coming to IUIUI was surprised by this.
I was trying to guess the line. I was going to say like 17 and a half, 14 1/2 just because I think a lot of the the the national and kind of the the pundits out there are just not sure of what to make of IU. And they kind of default back on this program doesn't do well with change, doesn't do well with a lot of question marks, which is I have no, no way to go against that. But we we got over 20 man 21 1/2 point line at home and the over under is 51 1/2.
What are you feeling? We have a bigger line than Michigan does. I know, right? So yeah, but we are playing Pitbull University. Yes, Yeah, that's right. Yeah. Is he going to be there? I hope so. Oh God, how awesome would that be. If he stops by Galen's tailgate, it's on. I will have a beer checking contest with Pitbull and I'll humiliate Mr. Worldwide in the 812. So. I, I don't think any of that's going to happen, but my God, if it does, that would be
fantastic. I don't know what's what's more unlikely together. I don't know. What's more unlikely is like the fact that we actually had game day come to IU once, or if we would have a drinking contest between you and Pitbull. Give me enough beers, I'll convince you. I had the other one. So, but no. So we're playing FIU, which is exciting. I'm going to be there. And look, FIU has got a dual threat quarterback and that concerns me when you talk about big lines.
We've got a defense and offense that are still learning things that aren't going to be throwing the kitchen sink out there. Chris Igneti, let me just tell you this. I've been an IU football fan my entire life. It has not been easy, OK? I had season tickets when I was in college and I sometimes got too inebriated to even attend the games. And when I say sometimes, I mean most of the time. So, you know, they just.
But, you know, we at least had Antoine Randall or we'd put up points or, you know, we'd at least be fun or whatever. We've had nothing of that recently. I am so absolutely on board for this team and this coach. I want to run through a wall for the damn guy. That love stuff never worked for me. Did you see the new T-shirts they had when he took over? When they were showing like the training video?
The like training pictures? They replaced Leo with another 3 letters WIN and I freaking loved it because that's what it's all about. I heard Justice Ellison on NBC Sports doing an interview. This team is bought in, man. They're absolutely bought in. And you give me a confident team with a quarterback who is seasoned. And do you know, Curse Work is married. I found that out today. He's got a, that's a mature
person right there. You know, that's the kind of person you want leading your football team. And Signetti seems to be absolutely in love with him. So you know what? I love all those things. That being said, 21 1/2 points, that's a sucker's bet right there. That hook right there is going to screw you, I bet. But if IU comes out and they win, you know, you know, 35 to 14, we're all super happy, right? That's a good game, a good win. We don't cover, right? So that's my guess is we're not
going to go balls out. We're not going to, you know, do the Bielema, I'm going to run up the score kind of thing. I think a 20 point point victory Signet, he's happy with that. I looked at what JMU did against lesser competition last year. They didn't tend to run up the score. They had, you know, closer games. So my guess is that Florida International at least keeps it within the 21 1/2. But I think the Hoosiers win big. Yeah, I well win big, but not
not 21 1/2 big. A20A3 touchdown win is a big win you. Know it's the hook, it's that hook that that's going. To kill you. Yeah, no. And I'm, I'm with you on all of that. I think the play here is you just throw the Hoosier money line into a couple other parlays and just use that as a guaranteed win. Because I'm, I'm with you, I'm I think Indiana can look good. I think they can win and then we all have a great day.
I'm not sure they can cover 21 1/2 and it sucks to lose bets like that when your team had a good day and you walk away losing money. Even the over under 51 1/2. It's like I could see a 35 to 14 game that just isn't getting me, isn't getting me enough or even like a 28 to, you know, 28 to 10 or something like just a game where you're just not getting enough points to get to the the over under. But I'm, I'm with you. You heard our preview podcast.
I'm very I have us at 8:00 and 4:00 and I've been saying, you know, it's it's partially, I think Cignetti's doing the right stuff. I think we've got the better, but I don't think we had that little talent last year. But I also just continue to go back to the way the schedule is. It just breaks so well, but you look at it, it's like this. The first two weeks are games you don't really do a lot. You just you got to win and then if you're going to start opening
things up, you do it at UCLA. Yeah, I live in Fort Wayne, so to get down there is a bit of a trip for me, you know, like, but I bought the mini season ticket package. I am all in. I'm going to four games this. Year, let's go. I I want to be there to support my team. We, we have needed a football program for so long. Yeah. And I think we finally got the guy who can do it. And I'm juiced. What do you think? Totally. Everything breaks the schedule. When do we play Penn State this year?
Are you kidding me? What else? What do you think? What do you think we end with off of our schedule? What do you think we end with? What's our win total? Well, I took the over 5 1/2. I I think we get to nine wins. Whoa, Yep, whoa. I didn't bet it, but I think we do. In fact, I did put I had two $5 free bets and I put one on IU to make the Big 10 championship game and one on IU to win it. By the way, if that happens, your old boy is going to be wealthy. What was the what's the pay off
on that? Well the one is like $1500 on a $5 bet, so. Were you able to find like Curtis Rourke, Heisman odds? I didn't. Look for him yet, but I should I do have a great parlay for. This OK, Yeah, yeah, we got, yeah, we got to wrap up. Let's do a Let's do our parlay of the week for Big 10. All right. So I've got, well, this is just a regular parlay that I've got. OK, I've got Colorado, Texas, Christian, Penn State, and Oklahoma State all in the money
line. And then I tossed in FIU plus 21 and A. Half. Come on man. Yeah, I because it's, I think that's probably going to happen. Now, if we look at our teasers, what teasers do we want to go to? Put three together, get plus 160 and you -6 points off of it, right? Or you get 6 points. If we take three of mine earlier, Scott, which ones would you take to tease? I don't do a lot of teasers. I'm more, I'm more a parlay guy. But I would probably.
God, there's so many big lines. It's like, I don't even know what to tease because you got to go to one of the smaller lines, like maybe the Penn State line. Let's go with Penn State. Yeah, let's go with Maryland and get that down to 14, and then let's go with Indiana State and get that up to 38 1/2. Yeah, I I like that. So you know. Or or rip rip that hook off the IU game and get it down to like 17 or something. We could easily do that too. Yep, so you can get that IU one down to 15 1/2.
I think that's probably a decent play too. Don't forget there are alternate lines available if our listeners are going to be following me on X at Crimson Cast 260. I will be posting all these bets as well as some of the prop bets for the IU game. The prop bets aren't listed yet, so I cannot bet them yet, but once they are, I'll start getting in there and looking and seeing where there's any value
we might be able to find. Assuming there is coverage in Bloomington from the parking lot, Probably so. I think it's 100,000 to one for Indiana to win the national championship. Well, I didn't say national champion, I just did a Big 10 champion. I'm just I'm looking at I'm looking at the the championship. It went odds right now, futures. That's wild. All right, man, James, I look forward to another season. This one was they're going to we're going to have to go a
little faster, man. I did not. This is like 40 minutes. This is long for us. It's a lot of big 10 teams, man. It's just it's a lot of teams. We'll, we'll condense people. Don't worry, we will. But we don't. We don't want to talk to your ear off. Nah, but it's it's it's fun times. We'll get more sounds. We're going to bring back a lock of the week. We just got to think of a good sound for it. It's not going to be the cat. But no, James, it's been awesome. I will do it.
Look forward to seeing you on Saturday. Let's have some fun. Let's go Hoosiers and let's go win some money. Follow James on X see all of his bets. He is way more active on there, but he also he wins some money. So and thank you all for listening. As always for James, this is Scott for Crimson Cash signing off.
