It was a date Brittany Tavar had been preparing for, for over a year, July 7th, 2010. The day she planned to stand before a judge at the St. Augustine, Florida courthouse, to present evidence that would hopefully grant her request for a permanent restraining order against her nemesis. A neighbor and former friend.Brittany told friends she’d been building the case against her neighbor out of fear, fear for her safety.So when she never showed up at the courthouse that day, those who loved Brittany knew something was wrong.
