have a wonderfully exciting true crime story for you guys all today. Are you ready for this one? Tanya? I am. It's weird, right, I love the weird ones. They're so fucked anyway, so weird. Awkward silence. The focus of the story is young teen while I shouldn't say teen,
a young couple, and it's it's kind of a well known story. It's about Jasmine Richardson. But I didn't know this story, and we were talking before we started, and you knew a little bit about it, but not all the details. No, not all the details, so you write it for him. I am Jasmine. Richardson was born in March of nineteen ninety three, and she was born in a small town in Alberta, Canada, So this is Canadian story. She was born to Dabrah that's her mom.
She's forty eight years old. And Mark that's her dad. He's forty two. Richardson a little bit of a background. Mark and Debora met in nineteen ninety while they were working out at the gym. That's cute, it's great. They were married in Toronto, but they moved to Medicine Hat, Alberta after being married for fifteen years. And I've heard of Medicine Hat, but I don't know much about it. Mark was described as a handsome man and
Debora was described as absolutely beautiful. Oh not that that matters, because ugly people's matter, too. Ugly people's lives count. Deborah was known for her huge smile. The Richardson family they were members of the local church, and they were your typical, happy, ordinary family. And when I stay happy, I just mean typical family. I don't know how happy they all were. It all looks nice from the outside. Right and before the faithful night.
Mark and Deborah had been happily married for two decades before they had children. Both of them were recovering substance abusers. But they completely turned their lives around and they ended up creating a successful life for not only themselves but their marriage and their family. And they were doing really well and they had no skeletons in their closet like they had this past, but they got beyond it
and they literally made this amazing life together. Tupper was known as a fierce mama who would do anything to protect her kids because they did have kids. In nineteen ninety three, Deborah gave birth to Jasmine, and Jasmine was a sweet, beautiful, perfect child. She had a gorgeous smile. She was part of her school's fine arts program. She did really well in school.
She loved to make music, she loved to draw. She was just like an ordinary healthy kid, and her parents made sure that she attended a Christian school that was very important to them. At that school, she befriended everyone. Everybody just liked Jasmine. One of the things that stood out about Jasmine was that she would go out of her way for the outcasts or the new people that were at school and try to make them feel more welcomed. Jasmine
had a little brother. His name was Jacob. He was four years younger than she was, and he was kind of considered the class clown. All a funny little brothers. He liked to make people laugh. He loved Star Wars and hockey, and together, Jasmine and Jacob had a really like instead of sibling rivalry, they had a lot of love for each other. Jasmine was always taking care of Jacob and she just adored him, unlike how I feel about my little brother. But anyway, Mark and Debba ran a tight
ship, and they monitored their children's activities carefully. Some people might consider their children to be sheltered, but other people might consider it the way you should probably parent now, not that I'm the parent of the year, but their online conversations were closely monitored. Yeah, you got to watch that. They were just protective of their children. When Jasmine reached her teen year, she began going down a dark path. Oh no, and she changed drastically.
She started getting into the goth culture, which is fine. We all go through phases. I was a stoner, I'm not a stoner now. Some people who were goth. You are whatever be you growing up in a Christian home. For the most part, this was pretty shocking for her parents. Clearly, Jasmine is rebelling here. She's an artsy kind of teenager. She liked artwork, and now she's into goth culture. She started listening to heavy metal music. Oh yeah, oh shit, I still listen to it,
and I'm relatively okay. She started wearing black clothes obviously, right and heavy I makeup, and her body matured early on, and she developed a womanly figure earlier than most kids for your age. She was only eleven basically when she went through puberty. That yeah, and people to do go through puberty at eleven, but she really was developed by then. It's the point of
all that she looked a lot older than she was. On a little side note, when children develop early, there's an increased risk of psychosocial problems, including substance abuse, depression, and early sexual behavior. And throughout the entire timeline of what I'm going to tell you, Jasmine is only twelve years old, So hold on, tight, hold on tight. Jasmine started creating profiles on different websites, and she portrayed herself as much older than eleven years old.
She listed some of her interests on her profile as are you ready for this? She's interested in serial killers, criminal psychology, the Moonlight, kinky shit, blood and hatchets. Oh no. She listed some of her heroes as Marilyn Manson, which you know what I like his music, Okay, don't judge me, Batman, and Jeoffrey Dahmer. Oh no, she's twelve.
She's being very edgy, so edgy, so edgy, although I have to admit my profile may contain some of those things as well, if I were to make a profile about myself and she's literally referring to the kinky shit, Yeah, I forgot about the kinky shit. It was around summer or fall of two thousand and five. Jasmine was going into seventh grade, and
her teachers instantly noticed changes within her. She had fully embraced the goth culture, and she was wearing miniskirts, fish nuts, spiked collars, that makeup I was telling you about. And you know this is a Christian school. Yeah, I'm sure that was a violation of their dress code. The school staff would call Deborah and Mark about Jasmine the clove she's wearing. But Deborah and Mark. They didn't really do much about it, and I'm sure they
thought she's going through a phase. I would because she probably was. Their thought process was that their daughter wasn't hurting anyone, so what does it matter really what she's wearing. They were just happy that she was still a good kid because she was and she wasn't acting out. She wasn't doing anything wrong. She's just expressing her artistic I don't know, sid side, Okay,
I get that. I mean, you know, you let things slide if your kid behave exactly you know, like okay, fine, you don't know about the fishnets. But I mean, I don't judge. I have friends that leather kids. That's fine. I don't judge. In November of two thousand and five, Jasmine began turning to more goth social media sites and she made a lot more profiles on a lot of different websites. She would pick these morbid screen names and would portray herself again as being much older than she
was in the pictures she displayed on the website. She would have thought she was like seventeen, eighteen years old, but again she's only twelve. And she created this persona on these sites as being emotional and dangerous. She would post lyrics from bands like Slipknot. My daughter listened to slip Knot working on I listened to slip Knot too. I'm okay, I think, she says, my therapist. And then she would post excerpts from Edgar all Poe.
But then things got even more dramatic and it went downhill really quickly. She started communicating with twenty three year old Jeremy Stinky. Let me tell you about Jeremy Stinky. He was a high school dropout from medicine had Alberta. His mother was an alcoholic and she had a lot of boyfriends. Some of those boyfriends abused Jeremy in his childhood. From around the age of two, Jeremy would be beaten and sometimes badly, by his own father. You know,
he had a mom and a dad and he was just getting beaten. His mother knew about him being beaten by the men, but she didn't do anything about it. Jeremy said later that he and his siblings, because he ended up having more siblings, would be tied up and have to watch as the other siblings beaten. God, I hate people so much. Even before his parents split. His mom got married a few times, and one of her
husbands shoved Jeremy's head into a freezer. Oh, Jeremy's head beating put in a freezer was how he was punished when he would try to step in and stop his stepdad from hurting his mom. He was constantly abused, and then he would witness, of course, intense abuse of his siblings and his mother. At school, he was bullied. But you know what I feel like, from now on, I'm crossing that out because we're all bullied at school. We really are. That's true. You were. Oh yeah, I
was bullied. I was. I was probably a bully. I was probably a bully too at some point. But I die. I definitely got bullied. I did. And guess what, Okay, I'm not a serious We're fine. Yeah, we're fine. Everybody, I guess, just my therapist. He was nicknamed Stinky Well, his last name is stinky, Yes, stinky at is close. By the time he met Jasmine, he'd already tried to commit suicide once. Jeremy saw himself as a I can't even say this
with straight face, a three hundred year old werewolfs stop it. And he was part of a brotherhood of werewolves. I'm not really sure why. He never had a lot of friends, and he moved a lot in his childhood, so he never kept friendships because they were always moving. But do you remember how Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton would wear a vial of each other's blood around their Now, yes, I remember, he did that too. I'm not sure whose blood he was wearing, maybe his own. I don't
know. He did that too because it's super cool. This is fucking weird. He did a lot of heavy drugs and he drink. He would cut himself. I'm sure you're not surprised. And he dropped out of school in the beginning of the sophomore year of high school. He tried to take some classes to get a ged, but he never finished. He's probably never showed. He eventually moved out of his mom's house and moved in with some friends.
He would do this back and forth, go from like his mom's house to his friend's house, and then, like I said, back and forth. And he hadn't his defense, He had no solid guidance. His mom didn't really want him and was obvious. She bought all these bad men in Jeremy's life and you know, just allow the horrific things to happen to him. Jeremy had ADHD and he wasn't what you would consider a ladies man. Women described him as hard to read, immature, and that his attitude his
emotions came across as bipolar. He would go from hot to cold. He tried to date people as age because remember he's twenty three years old, but they weren't really interested in him because he was emotionally immature. I mean, I never met him. I'm just guessing hopefully have ADHD too. He could have been hyper, which sometimes it is very difficult if you're bouncing off the walls. And yeah, that's true. But if he was diagnosed with it,
they could have given him medicine. So and if I'm telling you at ADHD, then he must spend diagnosed. But either way, let's go on with the story. Yes, he ended up dating much younger girls. That's an issue. Some people say it was a result of him being abused. Others say that he's just a predator. But you can let me know what you think, Okay. Jeremy began getting in trouble with a law just in the beginning with petty crimes and drugs. At the age of twenty two,
he embraced the culture. And when I say embraced, he fully may love to that culture. And if you want to see some pictures, he's got like smear die liner on his face and all of that. He was able to find a lot of friends in the email goth crowd. And I don't know anything about email because I'm old. I mean, if they're not the same, I apologize, I don't know the difference. But he became very popular in that group. His friends were younger, so they looked up to
him. They thought of him as someone that could guide them. And all the girls in this young emo goth group just loved him. They're like, oh, he's twenty three. They thought he was so sweet, and he just loved hanging out with him. He could connect to them, and that's when in two thousand and five, Jeremy met Jasmine. The two were introduced by Jasmine's thirteen year old friend Kaylee. Oh no, he's twenty three. No, that's just so wrong. Kaylee tapped him up to Jasmine, but
they didn't bond instantly. They had a lot in common. They had the same interest emotions, circle of friends, and Jasmine began hanging out with older guys before she even met Jeremy, which was a huge problem for her parents. Jasmine was going out with a lot of her friend groups and her parents didn't approve anymore of what she was doing and how she was acting. Remember before, I was like, they're okay with the way she dresses, but
now she's starting to act out. And then she started arguing with her parents, and she just developed this hatred towards her parents. The Christian school, I told you she was going too. They didn't even call the home anymore about the dress code violations. Now they were calling about her attitude. They're like, you know, to let her wear what she wants to wear, but now she's acting like a fucking spoiled brad or. I don't know,
I'm adding to the story. She's doing something. She's doing something. The guidance counselor at Jasmine school called Jasmine's house and let him know that Jasmine asked to be put in the foster care system. What she wanted it stop it. The guy counselor was like, why what, and she said she just hated her parents' rules. Okay, well, the foster care system is not going to be any better. It's gonna be a hundred times. I don't like rules. I don't like the parents. Rules. They make me do
the dishes, and I have like the home. I know, I have twenty three year old boyfriend. They disapprove of my friends. Come on, did she think the counselor was gonna be on her side? Oh yeah, girl, let's get you into that system. She was tired of being grounded. Oh dude, I spent my whole fucking teenage years grounded. I did too. I spounded for a whole fucking month once. I was grounded constantly for doing dumb shit. It's and when I say dumb shit, it's like,
oh, I didn't do the trash when I was supposed to. Like I did nothing. I was a good kid. I never did anything wrong, and I was always fucking grounded. I have no comment. Always. Around Valentine's Day in two thousand and six, Jeremy scent Jasmine and email asking if she would be his girlfriend. Oh, they had sweet because we don't have the balls to just like talk to somebody anymore. And okay, she's twelve, she probably they went on their first date and intended a punk rock
show. I don't even know. I think the email was before their first fucking date. Later on, Jeremy would claim that Jasmine told them she was sixteen years old, and that makes it okay. I guess yeah, it's still fucking gross. Jasmine said she told them she was thirteen. The two kept the relationship a secret from Jasmine's parents, but they would communicate often on
the same social media sites in it. I don't know exactly which ones they were because it's two thousand and six, probably my Space or whatever it was. On one of the profiles of Jeremy, he mentioned how much he absolutely hated sex workers and how he would love to kill them and play with their dead corpse. What that's not a red flag? Right? Like? What that's public too, He's made this public. His profile biography reflected how much
he hated cops and he was racist too, Oh Jesus. But Jasmine ended up falling in love with Jeremy, and he told her how much she loved her. Gross. At one point, Jasmine ended up being grounded indefinitely, which, like I said, taking notes from my parents, right. She had left her little brother alone in the house after being asked to babysit him, she just left and he's eight. Her parents went out to some social event and Jasmine's like, you know, I don't feel like babysitting. No,
so they just left him alone. He got really scared when he called his parents and they're like, where's Jasmine. He's like, I don't know, I don't know. I'm all alone. And then after that she was banned from seeing Jeremy, but she could communicate online without him knowing, and they did, as I said before, check her online stuff. But where there's a will, I always say, where there's a will, there's a way. One night, Jeremy wrote to Jasmine about how much he wants to
be with her and be alone together. He called her his cuddle bunny. Gross gross and that was via email. Gross funny because written right next to this is the word gross. Deborah and Mark started worrying about the online communication she was having with Jeremy. They knew she was somehow communicating with him, so they ended up taking her computer away and they literally packed it up, oh Man, which pissed her off. She would vent to her friends about
her parents, But we all do I still bitch. Even Jasmine's friends, though, agreed with her parents, and they're like, you know, Jeremy is weird and gross and he is gross, Like he's gross. You guys
can see the pictures of him. He's kind of gross. Most of her friends actually hated Jeremy really, and Jeremy's friends they didn't really think it was appropriate that he's hanging out with a twelve year old either, just so you know, he's got this group, they've got this group of people, but they didn't necessarily think, hey, yeah, twenty three year olds should be
with a twelve year old. They were concerned, and even if she was sixteen, said, you know, it's kind of inappropriate, like you shouldn't meet you know, she's just in seventh grade, right, Honestly, I'd be like, what the fuck's the matter with you, dude? I wouldn't be friends with a twenty three year old that was dating a twelve year old, just be honest, honest, very creepy and cross. Jasmine snuck out
one night to see Jeremy. Prior to this, Jeremy had sent Jasmine an email asking if the two could get together so perhaps they could kill people. What gether Jeremy said, quote I miss you more than I miss killing people. Oh good, Yeah, this is so stupid, you know what Jasmine said? She said, killing people sounds fun. I'm so irritated right now. She snuck out. Jeremy gave her a gift that was a vial of
his own blood. Yeah. She was just so yeah, so like trendy and edgy, like you said ed Later in an email, Jeremy asked Jasmine when the two could get together so that they could quote kill more pitiful souls their favorite movie, Natural Born Killer. I was just gonna say, is it natural Born Killer? They wanted to reenact the movie, and they wanted to make the victims Jasmine's family. Really, but before I tell you more, we're gonna take a quick break. Jeremy mentioned that he wanted to kill
Jasmine's entire family. She's like okay, and he told a friend of his. At one point, he said they wanted to be like Mickey and Mallory from Natural Born Killers Stone Yeah, I think so, and he wanted to start a killing spree across all of Canada. Meanwhile, Jasmine's parents are trying to figure out where their daughter was what went wrong what's going on? What the hell? Yeah, why did she act like this hateful little monster?
And why did she tell the guidance counselor she wanted to go to foster care? Can you imagine? Like? What the hell? So they decided to put Jasmine into family counseling. They were all going to go to family counseling. Ever, a few sessions they did notice a change in Jasmine, so they gave a little bit more of her privileges back. She was allowed to go to see some goth band shows with her friends, but the catches,
Mark and Debra said that they would go with them. Oh shit, how mortifying to see some God you got your parents every probably like what the hell? Jasmine agreed though she did yeah, but at the show she ran off, of course, and Mark and Debra they couldn't find her. They eventually did find her in the alleyway making out with Jeremy. She was grounded again and definitely by the time her phone, because she had a phone and her computer were taken away, Jasmine began going to libraries, oh shit, and
using their internet. Mom, God, because I think I'm libraries study, study and meet my friends. No, you don't mean your friends and studying. Yeah, I'm just gonna go studied by myself and needs silence. Well, she did go to the library, but that's where she communicated with Jeremy. In March of two thousand and Jasmine wrote to Jeremy about how much she hated her parents and she wanted to kill them. Her reasoning was, quote, they're treating me like shit. Yeah, okay, they're paying for her
food. Let's see her phone, her shelter, her clothes, probably the money to go see these fucking bands. I mean, she doesn't she's twelve, I mean, what the fuck. Jeremy responded by saying how much he loved Jasmine, loved her plan, and that together they would iron out the details. He made a poem and he posted on social media and his account about how he needed the blood of Jasmine's parents what are you kid? Needed them to die? Wow, so he could be with the love of his
life. The story is just very disturbing. It's so stupid. And then Jasmine began sneaking out again to see Jeremy, and now they were having sex. Oh gros, you knew that was coming. Yeah, of course coming. During their meetings, Jeremy and Jasmine began to plan the murders of Jasmine's
family. Jeremy asked one of his friends to help him kill Jasmine's family because if Jeremy couldn't do it, he thought Jasmine would break up with him, so really he was afraid he might not be able to actually go through it. But his friend declined and basically told him the fuck off. No time to fuck off. What I'd like freedom and I'm not much of a killer, so fuck off. The friend didn't think that Jeremy was really serious about
it, just insecure. Soon after, Jeremy posted a song to his social media about how he would kill for the love of his life God, and then he posted the entire plan on the public forum. That's ridiculous. Quote payment My lover's rents are totally unfair. They say that they really care. They don't know what is going on. Just assume. As their greed continues to consume, she's slowly going insane. She continues to think that I will come into her life to help her out, to stop what they keep trying
to shout. It's all bullshit their throats. I want to slit. They will regret the shit they have done, especially when I see to it they are gone. They shall pay for their insolence. Finally, there shall be silence. Their blood shall be payment. I am so embarrassed right now. Horrible poetry. It's so dumb. That's why we hate teenagers. Yes, and I have lots of them. He didn't even realize that law enforcement. I don't know. I don't think he care that other people could maybe someday
like this could be used against him. Yeah, I don't know. On April twenty second of two thousand and six, the Richardson's family, they had a family dinner, which they did a lot, which you know, that's normal. I appreciate that. On that same day, Jeremy went out and got some beer and some weed. He drank an entire twelve pat That's a lot. It's a lot of beer, and it's a lot of beer. He lived in a trailer with his mom, so we just spent the day
drinking. Later that night, he met up with his friend Jordan to see if Jordan maybe would be interested in helping kill Jasmine's family. Why not, Let's just ask everybody I know if they'll help me murder these people I know. He begged Jordan, please help, but again this friend said, I'm gonna pass. What I think is interesting is that nobody went to the police, right, But okay, you don't think somebody's really gonna murder a family
that I don't know. I'm just you know, called the police. But as a team, I'd be like, you're fucking I'd go home with that stupid time, right. None of my friends ever said they were going to murder famis or anybody know. Jeremy ended up going back to his mom's trailer. He called Jordan again. He said, come on, man, come on. That's when the police should be called, is if he keeps bugging you. So he's bothering Jordan, and he says, hey, by the way, if you go to the police and let him know my plan,
I'm gonna kill you and all our friends. I'm just gonna fucking murder everyone. I'm gonna murder everybody. Jeremy told a lot of his friends what he was going to do to Jasmine's family and warned them all that they would all be killed because he wouldn't know what Rat squealed them. So, yeah, if the police get wind of it, you're all that you're all dead. Yeah, yeah, he watched Natural Born Killers one more time, you know, to give you to that mindset right research of Mickey. Before he left
for Jasmine's house. He's all pumped. At three am that same night, Jeremy met with his cocaine dealer what, and he snorted six lines of code What. He drank some vodka with his dealer, and then he added some wine and took some ecstasy and then snorted two more grams. Called Jesus Christ twenty three is gonna live forever. I would be dead. And for our listeners, this wasn't unusual for Jeremy. He was, I told you before, into drugs and drinking. Around four am, he made a drive to
Jasmine's house. I'm sure that was a very safe drive. When he got there, he threw a pine cone at Jasmine's window to wake her up, as if somehow she's sleeping when he's going to come murder her family. Right, hey, I'm here. She then let Jeremy in through the basement window and he had a knife on him. Jeremy wasn't very quiet. He's a slappy, fucking mess. That's because he's so high and drunk. Yeah,
I'm drunk. He doesn't yeah, you don't know with a fire, Yeah right, he woke up the entire house because because he can sneak in because he's high and drunk. Yeah, you haven't tried to be high and drunk and try to be quiet. I mean, I don't know anything about it, but hypothetically speaking, Deborah was the first to wake up, and she ran down to the basement because she thought Jasmine was trying to sneak out again. Oh and when she got to the basement, she met Jeremy face to
face. He was wearing a mask. Oh that's got to be creepy. Fuck basement mask guy with a knife. He immediately slashed Deborah with a knife and she fell. He began stabbing Deborah in the torso over and over again a dozen times. Deborah didn't go down quietly. She was making a lot of noise. And Mark woke up. He heard all these sounds and screens, and he ran to the basement in his black box or shorts. He grabbed a screwdriver on the way down. He just was grabbing whatever it was.
On his way. He got attacked by Jeremy, and Mark started pushing his thumbs into Jeremy's eyes, Jeremy ended up getting out from under Mark, and then he began stabbing him more. But Mark is a badass. He was able to grab Jeremy's throat and he started choking him, but Jeremy just kept stabbing and stabbing him. Jasmine ran up the stairs after seeing all this. I don't know. She couldn't handle it, even though this is what she wanted. Mark was yelling out, who are you? Why are you
doing this. Jeremy replied that this is all happening because of the way he and Deborah treated Jasmine. He also said to Mark as Mark took his last breaths, your daughter wanted this. Oh that's terrible. Those were the exact last words that Mark hurd. That makes me really really sad too. Jeremy then on upstairs to see what Jasmine was doing. He heard Jasmine talking, but he couldn't understand what was being said because he's running upstairs. This is
very brutal. Jasmine went up and saw her terrified little brother, Jacob. He was hiding under his blankets. Jacob heard Jasmine coming into his room and asked her what's going on. Jasmine told him just go to sleep and she's gonna go to bed. Then she put Jacob's head in a chokehold position and started squeezing. Oh no, this is awful. She was trying to put him to sleep. Jacob was able to get free and he ran out of
his bedroom into the hallway. Jasmine knew that Jeremy was coming up and wasn't too far behind her, and that Jeremy was covered in blood, you know, and Jo's Jacob's gonna see this. And by the way, there was blood all over the walls and up the stairway when the police eventually arrived. So now Jeremy and Jasmine have this problem. They have Jacob and one of them. It depends on who you believe. Said we can't just leave them. So Jacob was attacked and he fought his little heart out before he was
killed, just like his dad. There was blood on everything in the hallway by his bedroom, blood soaked in the carpet. He was stabbed and his throat was slashed wide open. He was only eight years old. According to reports, Jeremy said that Jasmine slit her little brother's throat and then walked right past Jeremy. She ran the knife underwater just to kind of rinse it. Off, and then she put the knife on the counter, which is where
the police found it. Jasmine told Jeremy to go outside and wait for her, and she grabbed a bag she had packed and her mom's purse. But instead of waiting for her, Jeremy took off running, and he ended up getting into his vehicle and back towards the direction of his mom's trailer, and Jasmine was left alone with the house. So that's why you don't really know who did what she called a cabir On five thirty am, she got to
Jeremy's house where they bagged up their bloody clothes. The two of them threw the bags of clothes in a dumpster behind this apartment building. They wipe down the blood from inside Jeremy's car, which was his mom's car, and then they drove to Jeremy's coke dealer's house, and Jeremy was an absolute mess.
The coke dealer told police that Jeremy asked him how to clean blood off of knives to make sure there was no traces, and then Jeremy and Jasmine had sex at the coke dealer's houseman Not long after that, they went to one of those parties. That's just like everybody's on all these horrible drugs and you know whatever. In the morning, it's morning, and then everybody's still fogged up. And I've been there. I'm not judging. I've been there.
And they're at this party. They're making out intensely to early morning hours, and they were so on each other that everybody was uncomfortable because I think they're all coming down now, you know, they're all coming down. They're like, man, it's like seven three in the morning, what are you doing. A witness said that Jasmine was rubbing up on Jeremy the entire time, and Jeremy confided in a close friend. His name was James. He said,
we killed my girlfriend's family last night. I gutted them like a fish. What a badass grouse. Jasmine was overheard saying, my little brother girled, Oh, what the fuck. The Richardson's bodies were found by Jacob's best friend, Gareth. Oh. I think he's like eight. He had asked his mom if he could go play with Jacob, and his mom said, ye, go over their ship. He went over to the Richardson's home and helped himself inside. I'd probably a neighbor and saw all three bodies dead.
Oh man, that poor little kid. He came running home and said to his mom, quote, Mommy, there's bodies at Jacob's house with blood on them. I saw them through the basement window. So that's how he saw him. Oh God. He made his mom come back with him to look through the window for herself, and she peered into the window and she could see Mark. He was laying face up. He was only wearing his black
boxers and he was literally covered with blood, especially his face. His arms were raised and they were still in this boxer position like he's trying to fight. Yeah. Then Gareth's mom, Sarah, noticed a deceased woman, Deborah. She was on the couch covered in blood in the basement from the waist down. This was all you know in the basement. Oh, for the record, Garrett, I forgot Garett is only six years old. Oh shit, Sarah freaks out. Yeah, she calls the police immediately. When the
police arrived at the scene, neighbors were spoken to. One neighbor compared them to the Norman Rockwell family. They seemed like the perfect family, except for that one little daughter they have that hated them. The police originally thought that Jasmine was kidnapped. They saw this family photo at the house. They saw that there were family photos and there was one person missing, and they assumed she must have been kidnapped and probably the real reason the crime was committed as
someone wanted to take a twelve year old girl. Police went to Jasmine's school and they spoke to her guidance counselor, and I'm sure that was a lightning. I'm sure they got an earful. Sandra Richards was her name, and she told police that she would open Jasmine's lacquer so they could take a look and see if there was anything in it. When they opened up the locquer, all these papers fell out the paper were hand written cartoon sketches of stick
figures. In the drawings, there was a family of stick figures and they were being burned alive, oh while two other stick figures watched and laughed. One stick figure seen laughing with one of the sketches was named Jeremy. So she literally had this inner fucking locker with Jeremy's name on it, and that's how they figured out she wasn't kidnapped. Blood evidence was huge in this investigation. Professional experts were brought in to Jacob's bedroom and the basement and the hallway
and stairs. Staines were found everywhere, and the forensic experts noted that Jacob was in fact running away from the killer around his room. Jacob's attack started in the hallway, but Jacob died on his bed. The lightsaber found in Jacob's room had blood all over it, an investigators suspect, we do not know for sure that Jacob grabbed it and tried to use it against the assailant to defend himself, which is the fucking status, fucking thing ever. And
it's his sister that he loved so much. Yeah, it was his sister. Yeah, she did it. Yeah. Deborah's blood was confined to one area, and the forensic experts noted that Deborah died where she was repeatedly stabbed, and she died relatively quickly. Blood was found on the light switch in Jasmine's bedroom, and this told investigators that whoever killed the family knew the house, while police knew that Mark put up a really hard fight, and they
assumed there had to have been at least two people involved. Jasmine Richardson would be the youngest person charged with homicide in Canada's history. She was now a murder suspect. They released a picture of Jasmine because they don't know where Jasmine is, right, somebody that knew her and knew Jeremy called the police and James, who was one of the people that Jeremy had, said, Hey, I want to murder my girlfriend's parents. He saw the release pitcher and
he called the police. And then remember Jordan, he was backed by Jeremy to help him. He went to the police and the two told him everything they knew about Jasmine and Jeremy and basically what they said word for word. The murders were all over the news, of course, and when Jasmine and Jeremy found out, they started losing their fricking shit. They fled in the back of a friend's pickup truck. And why a friend would let them,
I don't know where did they think they were going to go? Well, in their friend's defense, they said they wanted to run away, So I mean, I guess that's why he let them be in the back of his pickup truck. Seriously, where they gonna go? Law Enforcement of Medicine HAT sent out a bolow be on the lookout for Jeremy and Jasmine to all the precincts nearby. It was a rookie cop on his first shift ever who drove to this very large gas station in the town of I think it's a leader
in sas Sketch one. He knew that at some point, everybody's got to put gas in the car, right and they're on the run, and this would be whatever forever reason, this could be a good place for them to go and fill it up. So he went to this gas station and he noticed this pickup truck with Alberta tags pull up to one of the pumps at the gas station, and there was more than one friend in the front seat of the truck. But one of those friends when in the convenience store and
saw a newspaper article about Jasmine's family. There's a huge picture of Jasmine on the front page and then there's this article even though it just happened the night before. After seeing the headlines with a picture of Jasmine, the friend thought that someone must have broken and killed her family, because Jasmine wouldn't do that. No, that was the only explanation. The friends bought the newspaper from the convenience store and they showed Jeremy and Jasmine, who are in the back
of the truck. Right. Both Jeremy and Jasmine laughed, I've just seeing the newspaper. And Jeremy jokingly said, oh my god, that doesn't even look like you to Jasmine. The coke dealer was supposed to be Jeremy's alibi, just so you know, for the night of the murders, and Jeremy had a black eye because Mark gave him a black eye. But Jeremy lied to his friends and said the coke dealer gave him a black eye. So here you are. You have these kids in the front of this pickup truck.
You have Jeremy and Jasmine in the back. They've got this newspaper and you know, they're looking at it and they're kind of laughing. And they pull out of the parking lot and they go to this high school. Some of the friends were a little worried. I'm just gonna say, they're like, what the fuck is going on? And the rookie cop I told you about, he saw them pull up into the gas station and he saw that it was Alberta Plates and so he started following them. Could you know they're
up to no good. I mean, I'm just saying when I was in the back of a pickup truck, I never did anything good after the age of fourteen. He called for backup, and when backup arrived, they created a plan to ambush the truck that they were all in. So I'm assuming by this time he had to have figured out like seeing Jeremy and Jasmine. The police found Jeremy and Jasmine hiding under the blanket in the back of a pickup truck. So clever. Yes, he'll never find them. Jasmine didn't
have pants on? What now you Yeah, So I don't know what they were doing. I mean I did know what they were doing in the back of that pickup truck. Seriously, Jeremy was putting one patrol car and Jasmine was put in another car. And on the way to the police station, Jasmine's friends they weren't worried about being arrested for being accessories to murder, in fact, but they were more concerned that Jeremy would be arrested for rape.
That was their priority. Wow, And they didn't allow Jasmine to put her pants back on. Oh that's what it says. But they probably gave her a blanket once back of the station, Jasmine was put into holding out while Jeremy stayed in the back of the patrol car he was in. While Jasmine and Jeremy were both being dealt with by investigators, there was the autopsy of Jacob, Deborah, and Mark that was completed. Each of the autopsies took
two hours. Jacob died from blood loss that was caused from his throat being cut. It had caught all his major arteries. He had two stab wounds to the face and two other wounds to the left side of his chest. He also had signs of strangulation. I remember I told you she put him in a chokehold. That's right. Yeah. Mark's body had twenty four stab wounds. None of them were fatal wounds that would cause a death to be
quick, so he died much more slowly. And Deborah had twelve stab wounds, some of which punctured her lungs, and both Mark and Deborah had defensive wounds. Now keep in mind this is April twenty, two thousand and six, and the police are interrogating a twelve year old with no parents, and so they have to follow the special protocol. Jasmine cried the entire time, but she didn't open up about anything. Oh, shut the fuck up.
One of the detectives tried to be really understanding and made jokes and try to get her to trust him, and she did fall for that. Eventually, she had a couple of variations of what happened that night, and then she just broke down and told the truth. But you know the truth? Who version version of the truth. She told investigators how she originally tried to choke her brother enough for him to pass out so she didn't have to kill him. So that's why she choked him, sure, so she didn't have to
kill him. Jeremy persuaded and pressured her to kill Jacob. According to Jasmine, she said that Jacob repeatedly said that he was too young to die. Oh it miss me so fucking sad right now, isn't that sad? She told the investigators that she didn't want her brother to suffer and that Jacob couldn't go through life without his parents, so that's why he was killed. But
he's saying I'm too young to die. Oh man. She also admitted that Jeremy did what he did because he loved her so much, and that Jeremy helped her kill Jacob in the end, so she did admit she yeah, she did admit that she participated. She said there were certain things she couldn't go through with that Jeremy had to do to finish the murder. Guessing that is the slash to the neck. That's my take. I don't know.
The investigators suggested Jasmine writing an apology letter to her parents as a tactic that they would use against her, and she wrote that she wished she could take everything back. And then she wrote a letter to Jacob and she apologized to him because she knows that he heard both of their parents being brutally murdered. Oh, and she apologized for scaring him so much. She proceeded that throughout all that happened, she still loved him dearly. She said that she wished
they were all with her since now she has nobody. Right, God, this is het. Then again, she's twelve. I know it makes me mad, but she's twelve. She asked them to forgive Jeremy. Okay, Jeremy can fuck off. Yeah, Jeremy can fuck off. Said he was under the influence of alcohol, drugs, which is true, fucking true, But you still know you're not supposed to murder people. And then he did it just because he loved her so much and he just wanted her to be
happy. Whatever. After she wrote that letter, the investigator said, if you want to write a letter or Jeremy, you know, we'll give it. Yeah, we'll give it. To give it to him. It seems like this should be illegal. I mean, I'm just saying or people should be smarter. Yeah, but then again, she's twelve. Jeremy was interrogated later that same day, and he admitted everything but the murder of Jacob.
He said he was high on drugs and he tried to convince you, Asmin, not to go through with any of it before I happened, even though he was the one that Vida did three fourths of it. He also said that he would do anything for Jasmine. Okay, clearly that's been established. He volunteered the information that Jasmine is the one that slit the throat off little
Jacob. That's the one that's hard for them to admit. Yeah, they yeah, because they know they're fucking asshole and they know how fucking wrong it was. According to Jeremy, he didn't want to kill Jacob. Sure, but investigators told Jeremy that Jasmine said he was the one that killed Jacob, and Jeremy yelled, quote, she cut his throat, She cut his throat. Jeremy then said that Jasmine was completely unfazed after all was said and done. And you want to remember, Jeremy is drunk as a skunk and high
as a kite. And she's not right. She wasn't. No, she's completely suber. Yeah, she had a dinner with her fan. Yeah, just okay, right, it's just evil. Notes were passed back and fourth and they were just gross. They basically just talk about each other's love for one another, throw off and they need to be together as soon as possible. And he proposed marriage in one of the notes. Oh, come on, she accepted his child bride. Give me a break. Jasmine went to
trial in June of two thousand and seven. She was not even fourteen. She pled not guilty to three counts murder. The trial lasted about a month, and the jury found Jasmine guilty on all three counts in less than three hours. Wow. In November two thousand and seven, Jasmine was sentenced to life. Nope, nope, Oh, it's Canada. She probably got like two years, she got ten years, ten years, got ten years. Yeah, that's a maximum sentence allowed according to the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
So she's out, she's out. Unbelievable. Yeah right. She spent four years in a psychiatric facility and four and a half years under controlled supervision. That's it. She didn't even go to like real prison and four and a half years of supervision means she's out, bag right, Yeah, she's out parole. Yeah. So she was in a psychiatric hospital for four years and then she was let go. Yeah. Wow, this is really sad,
you know. In December of two thousand and eight, Jeremy was found guilty of three counts of first screen murder and he was sentenced to three concurrent life sentences. He will be eligible for parole after twenty five years. So we got ten more years. Yeah. After being the youngest person ever convicted for three counts of first scream murder, Jasmine is out and living in Canada. Her location is unknown. She was released in May of two thousand and sixteen.
Wow. She was unlikely to reoffend and described as the poster child for rehabilitation. Maybe she's fucking twelve. I know maybe I'm sure she's sorry. I guess. I mean, fuck, I would look back and just be I know, come on with a twenty three year old Predator one singer. Right, absolutely, she received an education in Calgary and she lived on her own and went to Mount Royal University. Oh yeah, I'm conflicted. While
I have to trust what the judge said. And the judge his name was Justice Scott Broker said, quote, I think your parents and brother would be proud of you. Clearly, you cannot undo the past. You can only live each day with a knowledge you can control how you behave and what you do each day. And quote that's the anniverse story. Man. Man, fuck this one knows a pissuck. I don't like the ones where I get all conflicted. I know, I'm very conflicted. Twelve conflict about Jeremy I
never know. No, he configured out. No, I'm conflicted. I'm very conflicted. She was and she's doing good apparently so so I hope. So, but damn, you know I'm big in redemption. You're big, and just kill him? Yeah, just let him dying. Fuck them, Fuck them that nobody gets a second chance with me, which is weird. We are normally the opposite when it comes to that stuff. But she's doing well, so I hope so, like I genuinely hope so. But some
