In the 1970s, he was known as The Son of Sam, terrorizing New York City. When the shootings first started, there was no reason to believe that they were the work of just one person. 13 months and several victims later, the police were no closer to closing the case. Law enforcement had very little to go on and had difficulties with the investigation. One day, the police got a break in the case, and they finally put a stop to the shootings.
